They made a proposal based on drone views and lidar readings of my roof, without performing any actual physical inspection and dismissed my concerns about the viability of an installation on my particular roof type, but reassured me there were no issues. Then they sent me a final design for approval that had the wrong specifications for my roof (e.g., for TPO although I told them several times my membrane is PVC, and with a cover board when I told them multiple times there is none). Ultimately, when I didn't approve the design because of the mistakes and insisted they account for my actual roof composition, the engineers determined that the only kind of installation they do (stack) is too risky and poses a safety hazard on my roof given the lack of cover board and heat welded membrane. What a waste of time for something they could have figured out (had they paid attention) at the outset. Plus, they cut a hole in my ceiling to look for where the rafters were located and didn't patch it up for a month and a half. Totally incompetent.

Overall a very positive experience. Alex, our salesman was extremely knowledgeable and really took the time to explain everything. Communication was timely and everything was very professional. We were very impressed with the company as a whole and would highly recommend to anyone.

I had my solar install by Solar energy world in Sept. 2025. All was going well for a few months. Then we lost connection from our app. I made my appointment, which took them 2 months to come out, and they determined the cellular connection was failing. They told me I need to run a category cable to the array. I did a ground unit, so this means trenching about 150' add pipe, cable, ect. It seems to me a company that knows what they are doing would have tested the cell signal, which sucks at my house, they should have asked me. So when the electricians pull the wire from the array they could have pulled a cat6 at the same time. Shame on you solar energy world. I will not be recommending you.

The install process went well, the slow parts were all due to county permitting and inspections. Post install it took FOREVER to get someone out to do the drywall repairs in my garage. Now the next challenge is that I had an inverter issue and a panel not producing as well as it had. By the time anyone respond to the issue I reported the inverter error had cleared but the panel is still producing ~40% less power than it had before the errors. Now they are telling me they will charge me to come out and take a look at the panel and inverter. It took 9 days and I had to call to actually get them to start to address the issue.

My solar system developed a technical issue during my first year of leasing, and the earliest service appointment was nearly two months away. After contacting my sales representative, I was able to secure an earlier visit, but the repair required a follow-up appointment that wasn't scheduled until July—another two-month wait. As a result, I do not have a clear understanding of the issue with my system. Every interaction with customer service has resulted in the same response: they're backed up, and I'll have to wait. I understand that equipment failures and scheduling delays can happen, but leaving customers without answers or a resolution for months is unacceptable. If you're considering Solar Energy World, I strongly recommend evaluating their post-installation service and support responsiveness before making a decision.

In October of 2025 we selected Solar Energy World. Kevin Green, Field Energy Adivsor was very professional and most informative. He explained the entire process. It was an decision because of the positive reviews, warranty and tax credits. Most impressive was the short three month period to complete the solar analysis, application, financing, installation, inspections and connection to the grid. Also, since December we have received emails and follow up calls to ensure our complete satisfaction. In short, we are extremely happy with the decision to select Solar Energy World and we highly recommned the company.

Everything is great, all the team is super helpful, and very supportive. when ever i have any issue, they respond right away. happy with it.

My contract singed in end of Oct 2025 and till date my solar panel did not start. Very slow in processing for solar energy world and they are working on their on pace and don't understand priority on customer need. During signing of the contract all specification about panel and invertor was discussed, but during installation they came with different panel. Upon discussion they inform that leasing company requested to update and different panel was installed. Further the cost of panel installed was obvious around 10-12K less but ultimately monthly installment remain same. Ultimately, they increase their profit with low cost panel but no benefit to end user. Only care about business, not customer.

I chose Solar Energy World a couple years ago to begin my Solar experience. I had 14 solar panels installed at that time. I interviewed a few different Solar companies and decided to go with Solar Energy World. All went well and I was happy with the solar output. Lately I decided to add additional panels and a battery backup system so I could be secure in the idea of not losing power in hurricanes and other major electrical outages. Due to costs I just added more panels for now in anticipation of battery backup in the near future. Battery backup is expensive. My interactions with Solar Energy World have been great. Travis Kent was my contact person throughout the process and he was exceptional…always available and would return texts immediately to help keep me informed of progress. I highly recommend this company for your Solar needs.

To their credit, they got my system installed an operational in a somewhat reasonable time line. hooray Otherwise this process has been littered with frustration after frustration, mistake after mistake, lapse in communication after lapse in communication, and on and on. Solar Energy World -- owned by Comcast -- talks the talk but they can't walk the walk. They do not have their sh*t together. They have demonstrable problems throughout their organization in being able to plan, coordinate, execute, and communicate. And their service team? Who is supposed to help you when there's a problem? They are egregiously slow. They are often unhelpful. They don't seem to want to help you. And really don't seem like they want to talk to you about anything. Dealing with SEW has really been an unpleasant, draining, and unnecessarily prolonged experience. Easily the worst customer service I've ever had to endure in my life. I cannot recommend them to anyone. Lastly, let me add this: you'll see in a lot of their responses to bad reviews something like "thanks for bringing this to our attention, please email info@solarenergyworld so we can help you." I already did that months ago and they didn't do a single solitary thing in response.

don’t go with them if you need peace of mind. Your project will just get stuck and reps will not pick call and keep you in dark. It took me close to 8-9 months to get the unit installed and it’s a constant follow up to get the permit approved. had it not followed up so much they would have forgot they had installed solar unit too.

I had a great experience with Carson’s team from Solar Energy World. When we decided to go solar, we contacted 4 companies to give us quotes. Carson from SEW came highly recommended by a neighbor friend. From the start, he was very professional and came in prepared for our meeting. He answered all our questions. He took the time to make sure that we understand how solar works and it can benefit us now and it the long run. He was also easily accessible through text, call or email for follow up inquiries. The installation was straightforward, the installation team were professional and efficient as well. Carson was there for the whole process including making sure we are properly connected to the grid and be able to see our connectivity (production, consumption, export and import of energy). He and his team guided us through it all. I highly recommend Solar Energy World for people that are looking into getting solar panels for their home or business.

Awful process. Lousy communication. Ignored by sales (Liam Ross). Misinformation by his boss (John Roberts). Dozen messages to project manager (Aya Najjar) with no response. 8 months and I have not seen a bit of savings. Horrible to deal with.

I do not know if I will see you again Alex. I want you to know that every single person I interacted with on this project has been an absolute gem. The young men who installed the project. The young man who checked their work, the young man who waited for the County Inspector, you, your design contact, everyone. I have managed or helped manage more construction projects than I can count or remember in my career. This is as good as it gets. I hope you are all proud of your work, because you deserve to be. difficult to deal with during the installation process. Still don't have the email with the information necessary so I can monitor the system. I had to threaten them with kill the project to get it installed in 2025 so I could take advantage of the tax credit. If i hadn't pushed the issue I would have lost the tax credit

Once you get them installed, they will not come. And fix them, I have the platinum warranty, and they still keep giving me the runaround.

I had them install solar panels and once they're done they will not come back and fix anything have called them multiple times and I just keep getting a run around and that's with the platinum warranty

It was a pleasure to deal with Travis for our entire solar project. From day one he was responsive to every text and every phone call and answered every time. From our initial phone call to the system being installed was in a matter of weeks, which is unheard of the designed portion didn’t even take anywhere near the estimate that he gave me which was quite impressive. I would recommend Travis to anyone wanting to install solar.

I had a great experience with this Solar Energy World. From the initial consultation to the final installation, the team was professional and very helpful. Alex is my go-to person and he is amazing. He answered all my questions and made the whole process easy to understand. The installation crew was on time, efficient, and left everything clean afterward. I’m not seeing the benefits yet since it’s the Winter season and the sun has not been coming out but I am excited for the Spring. I hope to feel the benefits on my energy bill in the coming months. I didn’t know shit about Solar until Robert Sherman. Rob showed up prepared to make SEW proud. He was very HONEST about the system the pricing and install. I would recommend calling Rob for any Solar needs as I have passed his number to many people. I don’t have time to be jerked around or to sit with any other company. After meeting Rob and his up front to the point reality and knowledge of the benefits of Solar I was sold. I has a few issues with the install and Rob went above and beyond to make sure ALL the issues were resolved quickly. I now am very happy with the system that Rob designed. I have also been very pleased with Rob following up not just sell and run. I would recommend SEW if you call Robert Sherman 240-478-7947 he will make sure the customer comes first and you will be 110% Happy.

Throughout the process of investigation, installation , connection to BGE and monitoring my solar panel production, Rob Sherman has been a wonderful resource. He shared how solar worked, was installed, connected and monitored using language that was easy for me to understand. His knowledge of solar was apparent as he answered all of my questions in detail. He explained a variety of options for my home and the advantages of each. Rob discussed each of the steps of installation and a typical time frame for each step. I believe Solar Energy did their best to complete the entire process in a timely manner. Whenever I needed clarification regarding any clerical or other procedure , Rob kindly offered appropriate advise. He continues to be a willing and interested resource. I am pleased with my decision to go solar and look forward to warm weather energy production.

SEW was a great company to work with. From the sales process, permit issuance, HOA approval, install, service and customer appreciation, I can’t even imagine a company doing better. Travis Kent has been awesome through the whole process and has stayed in contact with me since the installation was completed. I definitely recommend 100%. I’m getting a 95% off set and am paying over $100 a month less on my power bill due to this system. There’s a small issue with a relay on one of my panels and I’m sure I’ll be over 100% offset when that gets repaired. That process has been very easy so far as well. Again, great company, they deliver what they promise.

Great solar company to buy from. I had my panels installed in early 2024 and have had 0 issues since the installation date. My sales rep, Greg Uhas, was outstanding throughout the installation process. He provided detailed information on the panel installation and savings over the years. I have only great things to say about Solar Energy World in general, and about Greg Uhas in particular. In October 2023 we had 16 solar panels installed. Great experience. Then, we decided to add two FranklinWH 15 kWh solar storage batteries. Greg made the whole process easy. The only hold-up for us was waiting on our county to approve permits. After the battery install, we decided to add 14 more panels before the federal tax credit expired. Again, SEW and Greg provided seamless and courteous service to make this happen. Greg remains available to this day whenever I have a question. He responds promptly and completely. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable field rep who can point you in the right direction. 1We have not paid an electricity bill in two years and the investment will pay for itself in another 4.5 years or so. Highly recommend this company!

I bought solar panels from Solar Energy World 2 years ago and have been very satisfied with my decision to go solar. I worked with Greg, and he designed the perfect system for my house. He also walked me through each step of the process to make sure everything was filed for my utility as well as local, state, and federal government. All of my friends have been jealous of my solar panels with the recent hikes in energy prices. I would strongly advise anyone on the fence about going solar to give Greg or anyone else on the Solar Energy World team a call.

I purchased our solar panels and battery from SEW through Travis Kent (our sales rep) and he explained the whole process from start to finish. He explained the how the system will work and what to expect. The warranty for the system from SEW was even better than the manufacturer's warranty by 5 years. Travis also came to our house to wait for the city inspectors to get the approval for Net Metering with the utility company. He went above and beyond his normal duties to get us inspected approved weeks ahead of schedule.

A friend related that he had solar installed on his home so I asked if he was satisfied with the process and if so would he give me the installers’ name. So with this information I called Solar Energy World to set up an appointment. Brad Henderson was the salesman who came to our house and introduced us to the opportunities available through solar. Brad was very knowledgeable and thorough in his presentation, so much so that we agreed to the installation that day! The process was easy and the job was completed within the projected timeframe. After we received our PTO (Permission to Operate), we turned it on and the array worked beautifully! We absolutely recommend getting in touch with Solar Energy World to make an appointment with Brad and having this install completed as soon as possible! Electricity costs are only going to increase!
