Solar Energy World

My contract singed in end of Oct 2025 and till date my solar panel did not start. Very slow in processing for solar energy world and they are working on their on pace and don't understand priority on customer need. During signing of the contract all specification about panel and invertor was discussed, but during installation they came with different panel. Upon discussion they inform that leasing company requested to update and different panel was installed. Further the cost of panel installed was obvious around 10-12K less but ultimately monthly installment remain same. Ultimately, they increase their profit with low cost panel but no benefit to end user. Only care about business, not customer.

I chose Solar Energy World a couple years ago to begin my Solar experience. I had 14 solar panels installed at that time. I interviewed a few different Solar companies and decided to go with Solar Energy World. All went well and I was happy with the solar output. Lately I decided to add additional panels and a battery backup system so I could be secure in the idea of not losing power in hurricanes and other major electrical outages. Due to costs I just added more panels for now in anticipation of battery backup in the near future. Battery backup is expensive. My interactions with Solar Energy World have been great. Travis Kent was my contact person throughout the process and he was exceptional…always available and would return texts immediately to help keep me informed of progress. I highly recommend this company for your Solar needs.

We've had a good experience with the sale and installation of our system.

To their credit, they got my system installed an operational in a somewhat reasonable time line. hooray Otherwise this process has been littered with frustration after frustration, mistake after mistake, lapse in communication after lapse in communication, and on and on. Solar Energy World -- owned by Comcast -- talks the talk but they can't walk the walk. They do not have their sh*t together. They have demonstrable problems throughout their organization in being able to plan, coordinate, execute, and communicate. And their service team? Who is supposed to help you when there's a problem? They are egregiously slow. They are often unhelpful. They don't seem to want to help you. And really don't seem like they want to talk to you about anything. Dealing with SEW has really been an unpleasant, draining, and unnecessarily prolonged experience. Easily the worst customer service I've ever had to endure in my life. I cannot recommend them to anyone. Lastly, let me add this: you'll see in a lot of their responses to bad reviews something like "thanks for bringing this to our attention, please email info@solarenergyworld so we can help you." I already did that months ago and they didn't do a single solitary thing in response.

I had a great experience with Carson’s team from Solar Energy World. When we decided to go solar, we contacted 4 companies to give us quotes. Carson from SEW came highly recommended by a neighbor friend. From the start, he was very professional and came in prepared for our meeting. He answered all our questions. He took the time to make sure that we understand how solar works and it can benefit us now and it the long run. He was also easily accessible through text, call or email for follow up inquiries. The installation was straightforward, the installation team were professional and efficient as well. Carson was there for the whole process including making sure we are properly connected to the grid and be able to see our connectivity (production, consumption, export and import of energy). He and his team guided us through it all. I highly recommend Solar Energy World for people that are looking into getting solar panels for their home or business.

Awful process. Lousy communication. Ignored by sales (Liam Ross). Misinformation by his boss (John Roberts). Dozen messages to project manager (Aya Najjar) with no response. 8 months and I have not seen a bit of savings. Horrible to deal with.

I do not know if I will see you again Alex. I want you to know that every single person I interacted with on this project has been an absolute gem. The young men who installed the project. The young man who checked their work, the young man who waited for the County Inspector, you, your design contact, everyone. difficult to deal with during the installation process. Still don't have the email with the information necessary so I can monitor the system. I had to threaten them with kill the project to get it installed in 2025 so I could take advantage of the tax credit. If i hadn't pushed the issue I would have lost the tax credit

Once you get them installed, they will not come. And fix them, I have the platinum warranty, and they still keep giving me the runaround.

I had them install solar panels and once they're done they will not come back and fix anything have called them multiple times and I just keep getting a run around and that's with the platinum warranty

It was a pleasure to deal with Travis for our entire solar project. From day one he was responsive to every text and every phone call and answered every time. From our initial phone call to the system being installed was in a matter of weeks, which is unheard of the designed portion didn’t even take anywhere near the estimate that he gave me which was quite impressive. I have only great things to say about Solar Energy World in general, and about Greg Uhas in particular. In October 2023 we had 16 solar panels installed. Great experience. Then, we decided to add two FranklinWH 15 kWh solar storage batteries. Greg made the whole process easy. The only hold-up for us was waiting on our county to approve permits. After the battery install, we decided to add 14 more panels before the federal tax credit expired. Again, SEW and Greg provided seamless and courteous service to make this happen. Greg remains available to this day whenever I have a question. He responds promptly and completely. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable field rep who can point you in the right direction. 1We have not paid an electricity bill in two years and the investment will pay for itself in another 4.5 years or so. Highly recommend this company!

I bought solar panels from Solar Energy World 2 years ago and have been very satisfied with my decision to go solar. I worked with Greg, and he designed the perfect system for my house. He also walked me through each step of the process to make sure everything was filed for my utility as well as local, state, and federal government. All of my friends have been jealous of my solar panels with the recent hikes in energy prices. I would strongly advise anyone on the fence about going solar to give Greg or anyone else on the Solar Energy World team a call.

Solar Energy World updated our roof and installed a 19 panel system on our townhouse. I'd particularly like call out the exceptional support we got from our field manager Gregory Uhas. Gregory was responsive, had answers to all our questions, and advocated tirelessly on our behalf when we ran into problems/delays. During the initial phase of the project Gregory helped us take advantage of both state and federal credits/grants to make the system as economical as possible. SEW does 90% of the paperwork for you thank goodness. We signed in September, and while some issues with our HOA delayed things for a few month, SEW put together an submission packet for our HOA and got things through. Despite the delay, the install team was able to get the system in before the end of the year to qualify for the expiring tax credit. Also want to shout out the panel installation team and electrician for professionalism and workmanship.

Rob has been great to work with through the whole process, always communicative and helpful. I'm happy that the work was completed (just) before the end of the year, as promised, to qualify for the tax credit. The system seems to be performing well, despite all the weather we've had lately. The biggest benefit, though, has been that they've handled all the paperwork, certifications, coordination with the HOAs, everything, and they've kept me in the loop every step of the way as those checkboxes were filled.

This past summer I met with Andy G for a consult to place solar panels. Andy was prompt, friendly, professional and easy to work with. He provided me with information I wanted to hear and information I needed to hear. The entire process from top to bottom was flawless and easy and best of all, I have a bill I can rely on to be the same for most months of the year and I love predictability.

I had received multiple quotes and decided Solar Energy World was the best for me. The pricing & systems for all quotes were quite similar but the way the companies handled themselves were very different. My sales rep Bobby Lyons was super friendly, personable, and did not pressure me into anything I wasn't comfortable with. I was trying to get everything done in time before the tax credits expired before the end of the year but realized that was probably not possible. Bobby & his team worked with me every step of the way to find the best solution. I just had my installation done & it looks great. The install team was fast & professional. I am very glad I chose Solar Energy World & look forward to more freedom from the power companies grasp on my finances.

I worked with Andy Grygier (sales) to determine if solar was a good option for my family. Andy has offered clear and timely communication throughout the process. From initial consult and estimates to the contract and installation, Andy has provided clear overview of timelines and expectations. Andy is also responsive and quick to answer questions. Beyond Andy, the installation occurred ahead of schedule and the technicians were professional. The technicians called each morning to confirm their arrival time. They were careful during the installation process and provided updates as they worked. The inspection was scheduled quickly and passed without issue. I am excited to start receiving massive savings on our BGE bills. I appreciate Andy and the team for their efforts to make solar a reality for our family.

They were good about installing the system, but when there is a problem, it is taking them 3 months just to send a technician out to us, and they are charging $149/hour including their transportation back and forth! They have us over a barrel since it is their system. I'd look elsewhere.

I began my solar journey getting far too many quotes from local, regional, and national companies. With an absurd amount of quotes and different equipment, I finally got in touch with Nick at Solar Energy World. While each company had their own way or presenting the data, equipment, and expected savings, Nick was the first to really just talk to me as a person and try to understand what I already knew and where gaps were in my knowledge. At no point did I ever feel pressured to make a decision, rather he just became someone that knew a ton about solar that I could ask questions. My personal style of understanding a new and expensive technology is to ask a ridiculous amount of questions and find very specific and detailed answers. Nick was able to do that for me with ease and without frustration. Rarely did I find something he didn't know off the top of his head and in a few cases where he didn't immediately have the answer, he checked in with the engineering team to get an accurate response. Once I decided to move forward with the quote, SEW worked behind the scenes to get everything lined up with the county and power company. Occasionally I'd get a question or two from the back office to clarify something they needed for permits but that was really it until they needed time from me for scheduling. Install of my system took about three days with racking and panels being installed on the first. Part of my installation also required replacement of my main breaker panel - something independently seen by another electrician at a later date that noted it was a great panel and the work was done well. After install was just a matter of waiting until the utility company gave permission to turn system on. Once that came in, Solar Energy World communicated via email and phone call to let me know we were ready to turn on and offered to guide me through powering up the system by flipping a breaker. The email they sent had example photos as well to help guide. Overall it was a pleasant and streamlined experience with a warranty better than anyone else that quoted me. Given they are a larger regional company I thought they were most likely to be resilient over the years than some smaller and the much larger national companies which were already struggling some.

They were really great. Had them up in no time. Guys were really friendly and answered all my questions about what they were doing. Also my salesman (Chance Minnich) was great with keeping me updated on the process. Great people to work with. Ask for Chance to talk to about your system if you want one.

My experience with Solar Energy World was made exceptional because of my sales rep, Travis Kent. I’ll be honest - I put Travis THROUGH THE WRINGER. I used AI tools extensively to question and challenge contract language, processes, and assumptions, and I had a lot of concerns going in. Through it all, Travis was patient, transparent, and genuinely focused on helping me understand what I was signing without rushing me or brushing anything aside. The initial contract through IGS Solar didn’t leave me feeling comfortable, and instead of pushing forward anyway, Travis stayed engaged. Jacques Frink and the install team at SolarvEnergy World for designing and installing a robust solar energy system under significant time constraints. I was pleased that they kept every promise made during the sales process and am looking forward to system operation once our utility company swaps out the meter. Typical big company, bureaucratic and slow. (BTW - They are a wholly owned subsidiary of Comcast Corporation which may explain something.) Before you sign they are very responsive but after you sign and they have you under contract they are not. Verbal promises mean nothing - something I forgot. I was told all installations got a "critter guard" but not mine since it wasn't in the contract. They made a big deal about the site survey and obtaining the engineering drawings for the barn so that they would design a code compliant system and be prepared for the install. But on the day of the install they came without the correct mounting hardware for the rails or expansion tubes for the electrical conduit so that wasted most of that day. Once they started the actual work, they drilled five "extra" holes in the house and barn and realized they were in the wrong spot. I think that's pretty poor workmanship. After the installation, they wasted about a month because they didn't a tech available to meet the township inspectors instead of simply leaving the permits. Then once inspected and they received the township approval, it took nearly more two weeks for them to submit the form letter to the electric company for PTO. More wasted time. Their portal seems like it might be helpful and they promise a quick response but that doesn't happen and you won't get a copy of your request unless you take a screenshot. Very unprofessional. Just recently, I got the PTO notice and since being powered-on one of the house's arc fault breaker has tripped 6 times. That's clearly more than a coincident since in the prior 4 years since the house was built that breaker never tripped. I've just called this in along with a problem with the Enphase gateway meter. So I'll need to see how they fix this problem. If you choose this company, good luck. I feel like these guys are like the aluminum siding salesman from years ago.

The whole process was seamless from start to finish. My sales associate Nava Wasser patiently took me through the process of going from an idea to an installed system. I looked at 5 other companies over a month long period and kept coming back to Soler Energy World. Ms. Wasser even helped to explain terms in other people’s quotes that were often confusing and left me searching the internet for a solution. The surveys and installation went without a hitch and each time when new representatives from Solar Energy World arrived they were courteous and explained clearly what was going to happen at each visit. I cannot praise the company enough and my system is working well. I would recommend this company and especially my associate Nava Wasser to anyone considering Solar for their house.

My residential solar installation was seamless from beginning to end. From the solar quote, to having each step of the installation process being clearly outlined and tracked, as well as all fielding all of my questions throughout which were answered quickly and comprehensively by my advisor, Nava. Additionally, the solar panel installation team was professional, efficient, and best of all completed in just a couple of hours. This is certainly a complex process overall but SolarEnergyWorld made it as simple as possible. I highly recommend anyone looking for solar to use SolarEnergyWorld.

We placed an order for solar panels and dual battery installation in July with a promise from their salesman that their competitors could not match. He promised they had the equipment in their inventory and sufficient staff that they could guarantee installation and operational by the end of the year to take advantage of the expiring solar tax credits. Since then we have only received notes to be patient. First, yes they would get it down before the end of the year. Then, notice that everything ready for install but they are prioritizing customers who do not have batteries. That was in early December. Now, the salesman is telling us they have no updates except it will now be another 45 or more days before they do the install. Meanwhile, we have paid enormous electric bills for the winter. Moral of the story? Do not sign a contract that does not bind them to an install date. I can only hope their product is better than their customer service and their ability to deliver in their promises.

From soup to nuts I couldn't be any happier. I had researched several other companies and then reached out to Solar Energy World. Their initial proposal seemed better than the others and I decided to meet with Steve Fulginiti, one of their Field Energy Advisors. He explained the design process, pricing, energy expectations, etc. in great detail. I was kept abreast throughout the permitting process and then installation was scheduled, 2 months ahead of what was anticipated. The crew, led by Antoine and Josh were stellar. It was scheduled to be a 2 day install. They completed the entire installation in 1 day! Antoine went over EVERY detail with me before they started. He wanted to ensure that I understood everything they would be doing and also that I was good with it. As a retired construction superintendent, I would've hired these guys in a heartbeat. They worked efficiently, happily and cleaned up afterward like they were never here. Personality goes a long way for me and everyone I have dealt with have been nothing but friendly and knowledgeable.

This company is quick to go to contract and unwilling to stick to timelines. I just wanted to add a battery backup and it took 6 months for it to be operational. My salesman seemed annoyed with my questions about timelines and wanted to place blame on me for switching from financing with SEW to my own financing (a 3 day delay at most). Additionally the team at SEW screwed up the paperwork several times with our power company. The product is fine… the installation crew was GREAT… but I do NOT appreciate being treated like a pain for making a significant investment.

Brent @ Solar Energy World made the process easy. We started the process in late August, designed in September, SEW handled all the permitting and electric company paperwork. System was installed in late October and I received PTO on December 31st. The entire team from Sales, engineering, installers, project manager worked like a well tuned machine that had many years of experience. In only one day the 24.7kw system consisting of 61 x 405watt Longi panels with 61 x Enphse IQ8+ microinverters were installed. The panels fit neatly on the roof with connection to the attic under the panel, so there's no externally seen conduit. Choose Solar Energy World for your project!

The entire process was taken care of. We didn't have to deal with HOA, Energy Company, Permitting, it was all just taken care of. Install took less than a day, and looks clean and well done.

David was instrumental in our decision to go Solar Energy as our choice in pursuing solar. He was able to answer questions and inform us step by step what the solar process would require. His knowledge sealed the deal and his assure that he would be available to assist us with any questions or needs. The installation team was exceptional. Solar Energy World installed a solar system on my 4100 sf home when my town had a "join together" event that made it more affordable. I chose to get a system approximately 1/2 the full recommended size, due to cost, and a Tesla battery for backup. I could not be happier with my system. It has over performed from the very first day. I currently am getting approximately 70% of my energy needs from the system, when I was hoping for half, and on sunny days I export more than I use. This includes charging my Tesla car by solar. My bill dropped from $800 a month to about $200 immediately, even before I could sell back energy to Duke energy. I can't wait to see my next bill, now that I am exporting more than I use on many days. I expect my ROI to be much shorter than I had anticipated. From the very first, my sales contact Damien Odle was fantastic. He was very professional, friendly, and had the answers to my questions. He has stayed in touch by text (my preference) throughout the process. If my question required further communication with the installers, he got back to me immediately after finding the answer. Even after the process, he has been available to continue to answer questions about the process and the technology. Absolutely outstanding customer service and seamless installation! Solar Energy World managed my entire solar installation from design to activation, and overall I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. They handled every step — HOA approval, permitting, installation, inspections, and interconnection — very efficiently, completing the full process faster than I expected. My sales rep, Nick, was fantastic from day one: knowledgeable, patient, and quick to answer every question I had. He made the decision process smooth and transparent, which really stood out compared to other companies I spoke with. The installation team did excellent work as well, especially with conduit routing. They took extra time to plan the layout so that most of the conduit would be concealed and the finished look would blend cleanly with the house. It’s that level of care that makes a difference. Like any large project, there were a few hiccups along the way, but the SEW team followed through and made sure everything was resolved properly. The system is now up and running beautifully, and I feel confident knowing they’ll stand behind their work long-term. Sales, communication, installation all top notch. The sales process was low key, based on options and information. Communication with both sales rep and company were excellent; very responsive. Was kept informed every step of the way of what was happening, what was next, and when it would happen. Installation went smoothly, approvals happened quickly, and system is up and running. Couldn't ask for a smoother process throughout.

Without getting into details, it’s been already nine months since the project started and it’s not completed yet. Every step takes weeks to complete. I am getting response from our rep, but then nothing is done.
