I wanted to get Solar up and running prior to the drop in the tax credit rate. My project went from a sales pitch to active sub 45 days including a run around from my township with the permitting. I had to work directly with my township for the permitting as that was on my townships demand. It was explained to me that this was an embarrassing break down in service for Green Power. Regardless every document I needed to drop off at the office was review by Green Power and overnighted to me. Install was done in a single day while I was working from home. I had one power disruption for 10 minutes but that was caused by an electrician's error and my crumby electrical panel. Thankfully that error didn't end up with a dead electrician in my basement and Green Power sent the manager out the next day to ensure everything was up and running. Post the single afternoon install I didn't have to do anything, Green Power took care of everything else. They keep sending me marketing information and requests to hook my friends and family into their network like a weird MLM or cult which I am not a huge fan of but that's the free market for you. The whole project was professionally handled by Green Power staff which I apricated, no dodgey contractors or third parties were involved. In addition the whole project was relatively hands off for me. Everything was explained clearly to me and I was encouraged to ask question. Even the plans were given to me to approve as if I was an engineer. Project was done on time, on budget, without error or much effort on my part five stars. If it matters my project has the panels as Hanwha Q-cells which was not an option given below.

Easy and Smooth Experience

I spoke to a lot of different companies when it came to adding solar panels to our roof. Green Power Energy was the most professional and responsive of the bunch. They also did not use any hard sell pushy tactics that so many solar companies engage in. The final installation looks great, works well, and was done beautifully.

Solar installed without the hassle

Green Power Energy has been a fantastic company to work with. Our first interaction was with Sonny in sales. He didn’t pressure us into anything we didn’t want, and took the time to work with us to explain our options and answer all of our questions. From there the design team helped us put together a system that would end up meeting our requirements of not having panels on the street-facing side of the house, but still produce enough power to offset our yearly usage. The install team unfortunately came on some of the hottest days of the year, but they took it in stride and didn’t seem to have any issue with it. Our electrician, Dave, was phenomenal, going above and beyond to quickly fix a wiring issue and then to ensure everything was completed professionally and with pride. Finally, we truly appreciate the follow up from Kevin and the customer support team to ensure everything was done to our satisfaction and giving us a single point of contact in case anything comes up in the future.

Excellent Company - Handles Everything with Zero Pressure

I had an excellent experience using Green Power Energy for my solar design and installation here in Pennsylvania. I cannot overstate how smooth and stress free the entire process was. I initially reached out in 2020 for a quote, but was not yet ready to move forward. I received zero pressure from the sales team and incredible insight and information. I circled back in 2021 to finally move forward and was able to pick up right where we left off. The team at GPE, from Sales, to Project Management, to Account Management was available the entire way to move things along and provide answers to any questions I had. I was skeptical when I was told that they handle everything, but they really did. From the design, to permitting, to pushing the utility company and finally installing the system, it was very easy from my perspective. I was sold on the direct purchase option they offered, which is less than half the lifetime cost that other companies who offer "zero down" solar. It is clear this is an extremely well run organization from the top down and I would highly recommend them to anyone interested in escaping the escalating electricity market.

One Stop Shop for your Solar System i.e. Green Power Energy

I would really recommend Green Power Energy for your new Solar System installation. Once you sign an agreement all the process is implemented in timely manner. It's been close to 9 months after installation and system is functioning pretty well.

The best solar company!

Working with Green Power Energy has been a pleasure, and I would highly recommend them to anyone that is interested in a solar project for their home. They seem to be the "Goldilocks" of solar companies. Big enough to have the expertise, technology, and staff to get the job done the right way, and small enough to really take care of their customers and make sure that everything goes smoothly throughout the entire process. I spoke with a lot of people from GPE leading up to and after my installation, and every single person was delightful and incredibly helpful. I wish more companies were like GPE! Thank you!

Green Power Energy makes the switch to solar a breeze!

Green Power Energy was and has been fantastic from Step 1 of our journey to put solar panels on our roof. Peter Dunne, the Sales Consultant, was extremely knowledgeable and taught us everything we needed to know about going solar. He was very responsive and gave great detail on all of our questions. The entire process was way easier than I ever could have imagined. GPE handled everything and made it super easy as a consumer to get into solar power. I would highly recommend them to others considering the switch to solar.

Easiest process ever!

Green Power made it absolutely unbelievably easy to get solar! They were extremely attentive through the whole process and are available even after. Our whole system was completed less than 3 months after our original inquiry. They work with your utility and you just sit back and watch!

Great company to deal with, start to finish!

I couldn't have hoped for a better result. Everything has been phenomenal with our solar install. Communication, explanations & results...SUPERIOR I would not hesitate to recommend Green Power to anyone. I researched so many solar companies and they really stand above the rest. Full 25 year warranty with all hardware and most importantly 25 year warranty on the labor as well.

They were great to work with right from the start. Austin was always accessible and responsive to questions. The installation crew showed up when promised and did an excellent job, working with me to ensure that I was happy with where they were putting everything. I now pay less than $10 a month for electricity and I couldn't be happier with the system and GPE.

Excellent company to work with

I was pleased from start to finish with Green power. I would and so recommend them to anyone looking to go solar. Being able to get a roof during the process was a added bonus.

Not a good company

I chose Green Power Energy for a number of reasons, but mainly because I was GUARANTEED that they DID NOT use subcontractors. I was told ALL work was done IN HOUSE. This was not true! I ended up having leaks in my roof at almost EVERY point of penetration. The leaks just weren't in my attic, but have come through and damaged the cathedral ceiling in my formal living room. It has been two months since I notified them and the panels were removed. They are too busy playing the blame game with the subcontractor's insurance company to fix my house. The potential for this situation is why I questioned the use of subcontractors in the first place. I hired Green Power Energy, not the subcontractor. Fix my house and hash it out with the other company later. This installation has been a nightmare from the beginning! Not only does my roof need to be replaced as the damage is over 50% of my roof, my cathedral ceilings in my formal living room need to be torn out and replaced, the insulation in my attic needs to be replaced. As they continue to put off the repairs it is only getting colder. Anyone that knows anything about roofing knows that shingles will not seal properly when it is cold and penetrating the shingles to reinstall the solar system when the shingles are cold has the potential for cracking the shingles which could cause the roof to leak again. Not to mention I am obviously not producing power and EverSource is using my banked kWh for current bills. I wish I had gone with another company. If you are thinking about using Green Power Energy for your solar needs DO NOT!

Solar install review - GPE

GPE was very knowledgeable and helped me understand all the details relating to my solar panel install. They had great documentation showing the cost effectiveness of solar for my house and were able to help understand the rabies both from state and federal. Would highly recommend.

Our company decided to offset our high electricity cost by installing the largest possible solar panel system on the roof of our office building. The electricity cost saving, the TREC refund, and tax credit makes solar system very attractive to the bottom line of our business. It took some research to identify GPE (Green Power Energy) as the best candidate for the job. GPE's sales team is very professional and friendly. The design and deployment teams was knowledgeable, professional, friendly and easy to work with. They are flexible and worked diligently with our town engineers through the mid-stream requirement changes during the building permit application process. The end-to-end delays we experienced were primarily due to the town's regulatory and power company delays. After the system is up and running, GPE's field engineering team was highly responsive and willing to provide timely and friendly help in correcting any post installation issues. Overall, I am happy with the solar system's performance and am very impress with how GPE's sales, design, engineering, and field support team performed through the entire process.
