Great Solar Project Experience

In mid-late 2020, we did a thorough review of Solar providers and ended up selecting Green Power Energy. Primary reasons for our selection were their solar experience in NJ/PA, competitive pricing, location of HQ and experts (1 hour away from my home), and all work done by employees (no subcontractors). We got things rolling in the Fall of 2020, first finalizing the design after reviewing the detailed Sun analysis and a few additional options. The project was then formally kicked off with long lead items placed on order and with installation initially scheduled in January. However, after some terrible Winter weather including a 30 inch snowstorm, we were not able to schedule the installation till the early Spring. After rescheduling, the install went smoothly with no hiccups being completed in 2-3 days (50+ panels). They handled the permits with the local township and secured the approvals with the utility (First Energy) flawlessly. The system started up in early Spring delivering nameplate capacity which has resulted in electric bills of $23, $8, and $8 for the first 3 months, and immediate banking of credits. We had a final closeout meeting, doing the system review, some minor training, answering all our questions and running through the options for managing the SREC process. Other than the weather delays, my wife and I had a great experience with Green Power Energy. We would highly recommend them for your solar project!

Great value and communication, kind of a lengthy process

The variety and quality of the products GPE provides is top notch. The sales process was honest, and the line of communication with their office was open and frequent. I will say it took ~6 months from initial conversation to turning my panels on, but I learned that the industry itself is a bottleneck with town permits and code regulations, etc. I guess I would have liked a bit more transparency about that up front to manage my expectations / avoid frustration. There also was one hiccup with the installation that caused a very minor leak in my roof... but the very next day GPE had people come out and fix the problem for not additional cost or time added to the process. Overall a good experience, and for the amount of money I'm saving with GPE, I'd say it has all been 100% worth it!

Great Overall Experience!

GPE had the best pricing, financing, and hardware options for me. The sales and installation process was straightforward and they kept me involved the entire time. Everyone that I dealt throughout the process (Sales, Support, Operations, Installation) were all very friendly and helpful. I can't recommend them enough!

One of the Best in Solar Installation Amount Many Out There

I started to seriously consider solar energy in the Spring of 2020. At first, it was quite intimidating because you get swamped in calls and messages from a milliard of installers wanting your business. You will need to do your part and homework to see what best fits your needs, preferably before hands so you at least know what questions to ask and you don’t far into an upsell. Upon a lot, I am mean I lot of research and cross comparing different quotes, I decided to go with Green Power Energy. Though they might not be the cheapest around, they stood up to me based on their professionalism, structured order of project coordination, very competitive pricing off your brand and model of choice, and before- and-after installation support. Amidst a pandemic where supplies and labor are limited and most projects are backed up, they did the very best possible to complete my project very close to the original projected date. Peter, Kevin, Will and the whole crew were all very helpful in answering all my concerns before, during, and after the installation took place. They let me take my time to review the paperwork, they were no pressure sales whatsoever, and make sure that all my concerns are answered. My best advice to anyone looking into solar energy, do yourself a favor and at least give Peter Dunne and Green Power Energy a call.

Reasonable prices, professional and very helpful

Green Power Energy was and is a pleasure to work with. I am a homeowner and 1st time solar generator so I can't yet address Good Quality but time will tell and I am very happy with the installation and the system performance. The value I received was that GPE was one of two lowest bidders from my list of 4 interviewed companies. I never felt lost or uninformed as GPE provides excellent literature, documentation and quick replies to my emails when I did have a question whether to my sales person, accounting or the install team. A very well organized and professional company. I am up and running and a happy customer. I highly recommend them if you are considering a solar installation.

Green Power Energy was excellent. From start to finish these folks were top notch. Selecting the system was easy and everything was fully explained. They made payments easy and anyone that was sent to my house was cordial, professional, respectful and very willing to detail the steps and process they were going through. Return visits to inspect the system and ushered everything thru with my utility. They made this so easy. Best part was after the system wad installed. GPE was still there guiding me thru the new world of power production they helped me break into. There’s a lot going on and these folks were my partners - not just the retailers. I recommend these folks to everyone that asks about my solar panels. We’ll done, GPE. You understand how to make customers feel appreciated.

Incredible experience! Would do business again!

I had an excellent experience with Green Power. They have been with me every step of the way. Peter was my consultant, and was so kind and informative, and so quick to respond to any of my questions or concerns. More importantly, he was incredibly fair, and only tried to give me what I needed for my system for my home. In terms of installation, they called me to make appointments, called before coming, were on time, and fast! Even post-install, they were great. They give you excellent instructions to sign up for your TRECS, and even a virtual post install meeting with Kevin to make sure everything is up and running, and was also super informative and very helpful, and I know that if I have any issues with my system, I can give him a call. If I had another house to put solar panels on, these guys are my one and only choice!

Glad I Chose Green Power

I had a great experience with these folks from start to finish. From the sales rep, the electrician, the communication and operations teams that provide updates, the contract specialist, to the folks who installed the panels. They were all kind, responsive, professional, generous with their time, all while doing work that looks incredible. Everything looks so neat, organized, clean, and professional. I'm really happy with the results and looking forward to seeing the system in action. It took just under three months from when the contract was signed to when the system was turned on. These folks also offer some of the best warranty coverage out there. You may pay a bit more than some other companies might quote you, but I've read some horror stories with surprise fees last minute as well as companies ghosting you as soon as panels go up. I have no doubt that if I have any issues, these folks will take care of it without complaint. If you're shopping around for the right company for your solar project, I would no doubt recommend these guys.

Ask for updates frequently

The product is excellent but you have to stay on top of your project. If you don’t hear from the company regarding your project, ensure to call and get updates. My project started in August and was not installed until March. The office staff is excellent to work with.

Green Power Solar

I received a quote from their competitor also a NJ base company, when I told them i do not financing, their rep wasn't sure if my installation would be cover for next 25 years. After hearing that news I became uncommitted in signing with them for installation, their rep has to go to his supervisor for that info. Green power has the option of letting me select the kind of solar panel, i wanted to installed on my roof, and my installation would be cover for next 25 years even though i opted out financing, their sales rep is more knowledgeable than the other company.

It was worth waiting

The process took a lot of time! BUT (and it is a BIG BUT) you don't really need to do anything. They do almost everything for you. So far, my electric bill is $0, and the solar loan is less than what the electric bill used to be. Had a pleasure doing business with them.

Great Experience and Great Result

I was very satisfied with my experience with Green Power Energy. I had a large solar and Tesla powerwall installation. Green Power was very responsive and supportive and the result has been better than I expected. This was my second solar installation. I would recommend Green Power without hesitation

Excellent company!

The only company I trust!! Green power answered every question and every phone call. They are very detailed and are always in constant communication. The workers were very very clean and did the instal as if it was there own house. It was one of the smoothest processes ever. AND most importantly, I have a zero dollar electric bill!!

Good value for a “set it and forget it” type of project

I used EnergySage to research my solar project and got the results I wanted. 5 proposals in an easy to compare format. Green Power Energy’s proposal included more than the others and that impressed me on the extra time that the salesman took when responding to the ask. On the follow up call we discussed some options and the salesmen gave me so viable options with the pros and cons of each. I liked the equipment that he proposed and the warranty for the equipment and from Green Power Energy. They were not the cheapest but to me seemed the best overall value for a 25 year project.

Great (and honest) solar install

I chose Green Power because I went through Energy Sage and they gave me not only the best price per KW, but also they had the best customer reviews and equipment rating. Was very pleased with the entire process, and how they communicated each step along the way (of which there were many more than I expected!).
