Was referred to by a friend and spoke Salesman John Merkent. We agreed on a time to meet to discuss the benefits of an installation of a solar system. At the meeting, in a clear and simple manner, he explained what the company would be able to produce in energy, the financing options if needed and the length of time needed for installation. We agreed on the project, signed a contract and a date was set for installation. The Harvest Power Staff filed all necessary permits for us only requiring a signature from us, here and there, to keep the ball rolling. On the installation days (most systems are installed in one day and we needed two for we had a little extra work done) the Crew showed up on time and were respectful in the behavior to us and our property. They installed our system using some of latest, high quality products and left the property each day as they found it, totally clean. In the end we highly recommend Harvest Power LLC for whenever we had a question, we were able to get a hold of someone before and after the project was finished, Salesman John Merkent even gave us his personal cell number to ensure this and eventhough this is business they treated us like family.

Dealing with Adam was very simple and he made the buying process so easy he knew about all of the rebates and everything worked just as he said it would. I'm very happy with my system and I give ampericon five stars.

I signed the documents for my solar panels in July. The installation was to include a new roof. I repeatedly contacted Venture for updates on when the roof would be installed over the next several months, as the current roof was in need of repairs. I was consistently told that they were working on obtaining the roofing permit. Venture did not get the roofing permit until the end of December. I had to pay for separate repairs in the meantime. The roof was installed in early January, and the panels a few weeks later. In order to obtain the building permit, reinforcement work was needed in the rafters in the attic. Venture has been out twice to perform the work since the panel installation, and still has not done the reinforcement work correctly. The Building Inspector has rejected the work both times. I am now being billed for the panels, but do not have a functioning system. In addition, I was told by the salesperson that Venture does not subcontract their work. However, I have repeatedly been contacted by someone from Skyline Solar to schedule work, saying they are "helping out" with the installation. I would absolutely not recommend this company to anyone. This whole process has been a time consuming nightmare.

As noted in the title Sun Up Zero Down did a real nice job of explaining, contracting, processing the state paperwork and installing the solar array of panels on our roof top. They were very timely in getting the permits and getting the install done before the end of the year (it was done in December) so that we could take advantage of of the tax credit for 2019. We are very pleased with our decision to go with Sun Up Zero Down. Very pleased indeed.

I called so many Solar Companies to understand about their offer and the specials going on. Most of the companies gave me either lease or finance options and showed less interest in full ownership option. Whereas, Mike who I worked with from NJ Solar told me that if I could go for full ownership option, then I would be saving more compared to the other options He also drafted on what my cost is going to be and how much will I be saving and when would I break even and so on. Once I like what Mike and NJ Solar offered, I signed up, but still have few more questions (on panels, inverter and so on) which Mike was able to respond quickly. The installation literally took 1 day. Half day for the electrician to do his job and next half a day for couple of guys to put the panels. All of these guys were very helpful, especially Bill in explaining to me that what they were doing and additionally guided me on what I would be required to do when the grid is turned on. Ideally it should take a month or two for the approval process and your electric company to turn on the grid, but mine took almost/close to three months since my township had so much backlog which delayed my approval on pre and post install submissions. There were so many tips and hints both Mike and Bill provided that even though I installed in late June/early July, my August Bill for electric was $ 2 and change since my electric company charges me for the basic fees. I am really impressed with the commitment and service NJ Solar and the team has provided. I have even recommended couple of folks to NJ Solar and will keep recommending more.

We recently had solar installed at our house in Redlands by Sea Bright and were quite pleased with the company. Wade from sales spent many hours patiently explaining the system as well as answer all my questions. The price was more expensive than some other companies obviously because of the premium product, but I did check with another master dealer in the area and Sea Bright was able to beat their price by a lot. Also, they had the best price for installation of the Tesla Powerwall when compared to other non Sunpower and Sunpower companies. The installation went well although there were a few communication hiccups between various departments and people, but eventually everything was done to my satisfaction. They followed up to get me through the process of getting my rebates as well as promptly came back to fix a small leak as well as a to make an adjustment with the sub panel. I would recommend Sea Bright to anyone who needs solar / batteries and I have already sent a few people their way. Thanks!

Exact Solar installed our solar panel system, we've been extremely pleased with them. They were very nice to deal with, and got the job done when they said they would. What's been even better is the ongoing customer service. I inquired multiple solar installation contractors, small & big, local & national. After reviewing all the proposals and comparing the equipments, the services and the warranty they offer, I finalized with Public Service Solar. I was initially skeptical, so I researched further to do my due diligence. Overall, I got a good feeling. Along with solar installation, I also got my roof installed with them. They gave a great combo offer. While reviewing the contract, they took time to explain all that would be done in their job. They followed through their time-line. They did a great job for roof and solar installation. No project is without any issue, so when there was a minor issue (my personal Wi-Fi signal was not strong enough to connect to Enphase system) during the process, Tony and his team were fully willing to resolve the issue and they provided Wi-Fi range extender at no cost. Even after the system is turned on, they are still equally supportive and responsive. Especially Sean, he is very prompt to get back and to address all valid and invalid concerns. They completely lived up to my expectation, so I recommended them to some of my friends and would continue recommending others.

Dealt with Jeff (Sales) at the beginning when we started researching on solar companies. Jeff made this whole process fun, simple and easy from exploring with us the concept of solar panels to helping us understand the entire process from start to finish. Met Rob, the owner later on and between the two, really gave us comfort and assurance that the job will be done well. Introduced us to a nice roofing company as well since our roof was almost at the point where a replacement is needed before we start the solar project. Sam, Dir of Operations is also another great person who helped managed the overall project from start to finish and very pleasant to work with. Overall, a great group of folks who cares about their work, always available and takes pride in their workmanship.

Solar Energy World had the most organized and confidence-inspiring approach of the bids I assessed. The overall experience matched that as well. The timelines were met, the build was fast and looks good, and the quality of consulting and professionalism were excellent. This project required very little from me once I made the initial choices, and was managed well from start to finish. Great job!

Recently completed a solar project with SolarMe. The initial process was very straightforward, Brett gave me a quote, went over my payment options and laid everything out very plainly but still with a good level of detail. The installation team was courteous and professional, and were able to show me all the different components and what (if anything) I would need to do with them. I also worked with Jennifer on the post-installation process and she has been very helpful. I will recommend this company to anyone who asks!

The reviews scores for the largest solar companies are far worse than those for local, family-owned solar installation companies.
The best solar companies meet the following criteria:
The solar industry is full of fly-by-night solar companies — both big and small — that open one year and are gone the next.
Solar panels last for 25-30 years, so you want an installer who will help you with any problems or system faults. For this to happen, your installer needs to be able to stay in business
Local solar companies, as a group, have the highest reviews score on our site and also have lower overheads than corporate installers, making them more likely to survive in the long term.
