Green power energy was amazing to work with and they did a super job. From installation to going live, the process went flawless. Truly a great company to work with.

Great Company

Great company. We got three quotes over two years. We went with our 'gut'. Salesman was great. Patient, adjusted quote upon request. Explained things more than once, Sent explanatory documents. Permitting went without a hitch. Installation was ultra professional. We thought we'd have to wait a while to get the companies and town out to get it turned on. GreenPower was also great for that. It's been one month and we get our first bill this week. According to the app, we should we smiling with our net metering.

Our experience with GPE from start to finish was a good one. Peter Dunne is a fantastic sales rep and answered all of our questions in a timely fashion. A couple of hiccups during install which were very promptly corrected. Overall a great experience working with GPE and would recommend highly.

GREAT solar company

After deciding to go with solar we reached out Green Power Energy and I have to say that from start to finish, it was an extremely pleasurable experience. My conversations with Nick Caggiano (who set everything up) were great because he really explained everything to me in a way that I was able to understand and I really appreciate that. The scheduling and installing were a breeze. They came when they were scheduled, they were very professional and had everything up in a few hours. Green Power did all the paperwork that needed to be submitted to my town as well as my electric company so that was a headache I didn't even need to worry about. And then when the system was up and running we had a meeting with Kevin Nally who was great. He too explained the entire system to my wife and I so that we could monitor our system and know exactly what we were looking at. He also sent us step by step instructions and pictures that were also a tremendous help. All in all, the entire process was fantastic and if anyone has been hesitant about going solar, I would HIGHLY recommend reaching out to Green Power Energy.

Green Power Energy gave us a competitive quote, and worked with us through the entire application and installation process with professionalism. They answered the phone or responded to emails quickly and accurately. Installation in CT, especially with UI, can be painstakingly long, but Green Power kept me informed all along the way.

We used their roofing company, Costello roofing, and they did a fantastic job! Then the solar was installed and the panel installers also did a very professional and neat job. Great solar company. Customer service was top notch from the initial sale to the personal explanation of the system once turned on. They handled everything and I was always kept up to date via emails. Great company and highly recommend!

Great Install and Service

GPE was extremely responsive and were able to answer all my questions. The installed panels and inverter were high quality LG and Enphase parts. Very happy with the quality of GPE's service and install. I highly recommend them.

Excellent PV system on our farm

Green Power’s the way to go!

From start to finish, Green Power Energy made my solar project stress free and as easy as possible for me. Their customer service department was extremely professional and diligent about answering my questions and responding to my needs in a timely manner. I’m happy with my choice to go solar and to go with Green Power Energy to make that happen.

Good quality and professional onsite crew. The planning of the solar project took a little time to solidify and there was a bit of confusion / lack of communication between the sales team and operations team regarding the layout and number of panels. The sales team initially thought more panels could fit on one section of the roof than what was allowed per state fire code and as a result our initial design had a significantly lower output than originally discussed. It took a decent bit of back and forth and reworking the numbers to get everything where we needed it but the sales team did work diligently to make sure we were happy with the design and that our needs were met. Green Power Energy is pretty responsive and completed the project in a timely manner once the project was set for installation. Their support staff was very accommodating when scheduling the various parts of the installation and the field staff was always on time and never caused any delays. We did have a cosmetic issue with our installation (exposed conduit running across the roof) that we wanted addressed and the head of operations (Mike Sobiesiak) was very easy to deal with and willing to work with us to have it cleaned up and better hidden. However, the sales manager (Tim DeSevo) was harder to deal with and was not as forthcoming when needing to work out any installation issues. Overall, the installation was quick and very professional. We have been using the system for a few months now and everything has been working great without any issues. The support staff was helpful and promptly answered any questions we had with setting up the various accounts you need in order to claim your credits from the state. They were diligent in keeping us updated throughout the approval and installation process and scheduling all of the site visits required for the installation and various inspections. They were also sure to schedule a post-installation follow-up to make sure that we knew how to use the system, how to claim our TREC credits, and remind us to contact PSEG to move our anniversary date in order to maximize our credits. I would definitely recommend Green Power Energy, especially to anyone who is looking to pay a little extra for not only a professional installation, but great overall communication and after-installation support.

Could NOT have gone better

A great experience with every aspect. Sales, installation, and support have been fantastic. I have no complaints. I would recommend them for your solar installation.

Not quite 5 stars

1) Initial system install (I paid 100%) , but never got installation of the monitoring system. 2) Not so friendly when calling back 7.5yrs later inquiring about adding a few more panel (due to the increase consumption), I have a txt saying I quote "Unfortunately we cannot install to your existing system and those sunny boy inverters, they are not compatible with the new panels. It would have to be a new inverter based whole system." After paying 52K back in 2015, one would think we would be able to install a few more panels. Now we have to buy a whole new system? - something doesn't jive. 3) We called Enphase, they had an easy solution to add additional panels to our system.

Easy and efficient

From a new homeowner and to solar power, Green Power Energy provided a complete service: from simplifying a complex solar power literature, from accommodating all kinds of questions, effortless in their processing of permits and installation, to their post-service follow-up. They are EXCELLENT at what they do.

Excellent Experience!

It was wonderful to work with the Green Power Energy team. They were highly knowlegeable, accessible and friendly, and the solar panels look beautiful and are performing admirably, even in the New England winter! Would definitely recommend!

Turnkey solar installation

Green Power Energy recently completed the installation of a 15KW system and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the project. From estimation through installation and commission, they handled with promptness and professionalism every aspect of the project, including liaison with the electric utility and state and local authorities, permissions, and inspections. Their projections of power generation have been very accurate so far. I recommend them highly.

No Hassles no Headaches

Green Power Energy installed our 35 panel solar array and did a fantastic job. They worked with our roofing company and did all of the permits. Yes it is a long process but now that its done it was so worth it. They even redid their plans when we insisted to only have panels on the back of the house. I just click the app on my phone and know how much energy I'm producing.

Highly recommend GPE

Great company, very glad I found them. From the beginning of the process, really appreciated the educational (not condescending) and low pressure approach. Later learned that they give honest assessments, ie they’ll tell you “no, installing solar won’t be financially worth your while”, while other companies might just say “yeah your home is perfect for it”. Was able to talk through different options, manufacturers and layouts. Although the process overall took longer than I’d like, there weren’t delays due to GPE, and they were communicative about the timeline and next steps, eg waiting for town approvals which typically takes X weeks. No unexpected surprises and great customer service throughout. Very happy with the system so far!

Green Power Delivers

I was just starting to look into solar energy. A neighbor, who I trust for his technical expertise, told me about his positive experience with Green Power and gave me Peter Dunne's phone number. I left a message for Peter and he called me back promptly. He first asked questions and then let me know what the steps were to determine if my home was viable for solar. He then sent me the position of my home in regards to sunlight. I sent him a copy of my electric bill showing the usage for the past year. Based on that, he sent me a proposal of the suggested layout of the panels, a quote and a detailed explanation which was easy to follow. After careful review, I decided to move forward with Green Power. They were there for me every step of the way and delivered what they promised.

Great experience- highly recommend!

Green Power Energy was a great company to work with for our solar install. We decided to purchase our system vs. doing a purchase power agreement that a lot of the door-to-door companies offer. Our biggest issue with those companies was that they wanted to do a credit check and house review before going into how much solar could even be made on my roof. Not Green Power Energy! In our 1 hour consult with Peter, he detailed our roof, treelines, elevation, sun patterns, etc, and calculated everything in real time so we could see what different panels would look like and produce. Once we signed the contract, all communications were timely and very professional. All departments responded very quickly to any question. Maybe most importantly, the electricians that came out from the company had a definite pride in who they worked for. Our solar system looks great, functions well, and the process was easy thanks to Green Power Energy.
