The gentlemen that did the install were fantastic. However, the older gentleman in the office doesn’t seem to know what he’s doing, I believe his name is Bob or Rob. I’m not sure what happened to the other guy that was in the office, but he is who I was in contact with. He was also involved with my install and was able to answer my questions and concerns immediately. As a whole, the experience has been great until the last week or so. Now I cant can get any answers!

Run Away! Terrible!
Have a system placed by company and have reached out time after time to discuss additional panels due to exceedingly high energy bills despite two person household most times. Nick gave me his personal number only to ignore my messages and calls again and again. Have been working with my township to allow additional panels but will def be looking to complete project with more professional company. Additionally after having original system placed on our roof, we found that Green Power had torn away roof shingles leaving only tar paper in an area where a panel was supposed to be placed but then moved. Avoid this company!

So we first got in contact with green power in Aug 2022. They said it would be installed by end of the year. Well it's now mid April and still not complete. Seems like there's always a new excuse. I finally kept on them enough to get the system installed. But now they don't seem to care about scheduling an inspection with the town. I keep getting more and more excuses. They never follow threw with anything. They pretty much got their money and ran even tho the system isn't able to operate. This whole thing has turned into a total nightmare, now I'm stuck with Solar payment AND power bills. I DO NOT recommend green power to anybody. Do yourself a favor and save the headaches, issues and fake promises and use a better company that will actually carry out the work. I am Extremely frustrated and disappointed.

Great company… until you need actual service
Had my system installed 2 years ago. Up until now, everything was relatively great, and I have been satisfied overall. Since 7/21/22, my system stopped producing completely. Several contact attempts, and absolutely no response. If someone picks up the phone, they advise that I will get a call back. Not once have they followed through. I emailed the support team hoping for a better outcome, and still nothing. Now it’s been over a month and haven’t produced a single kilowatt. Just another company that promises the world and delivers nothing when it matters to the customer most.
Response from Green Power Energy
We are sorry that your SolarEdge inverter experienced a failure. Our Service Department was able to get a replacement approved by the manufacturer (SolarEdge Case #3353844). Your replacement inverter has been delivered to us and is scheduled to be installed. We apologize if updates on the status of your replacement were not provided to you with more frequency and we will continue to be here to honor your system warranty.

After a year of ownership I would recommend looking elsewhere to get your solar system. The investment of solar panels are a great idea but the experience is with Green Power Energy has been a nightmare. It was a slow installation process (signed up in December, got running in July). I went through hell trying to get into the srec program they promised me at signing with the company sending me to the township begging for signatures eventually getting in but it was much harder and more stressful than it should have been. Once the system was up and running I found out I couldn't see how much energy I was using, just how much I was producing which I was promised by the salesman they sent out. A few months after the system was up and running they sent an employee out to go over the system which he left me his email and number for my questions and problems. Unfortunately he hasn't answered my emails or calls recently since I've been having problems. The salesman also promised me that they would be monitoring my system so if there was something wrong with it or underproducing they would get an alert and notify me and we could set up the problem to be fixed. This could not have been less true. Last month my system went down and I didn't realize until a month later. When I called they told me they only got a minor alert so didn't say anything and after fixing it said it's not their problem I lost a month of production. They admitted they've had problems with that salesman lying but did nothing to make it right. If customer service and honesty is something you care about look elsewhere for a company that will treat their customers better. 8/16/22 Update: After 2 years of ownership I can't emphasize strong enough to stay away from this company. This will be the the second summer in a row where my system is completely down. Since this company will not give me the ability to have email alerts sent to me when the system goes down I didn't notice it until mid July that it wasn't producing. About a week later they came out and said it was a communications board they didn't have. At that time I stressed to them to bring a new inverter in case that was the problem and no the communications board. 2 more weeks go by and they show up with the communications board only to tell me it's actually the inverter and what a surprise they don't have one. Now I'm stuck waiting for them to come back and who knows when that will be. Go with someone else and save yourself the headache. Sales process - Greg, the salesman that came to my house to sell me the system, lied to me about monitoring the system and about being able to track how much energy I use with the app. Price charged as quoted - They tried to charge me a fee for using my credit card to make the down payment after I had asked and made sure that paying the down payment with a credit card wouldn't have a fee. On schedule - Before I signed up I was told it'd take around 2-3 months to have the system installed and running. It took them 7 months. Installation quality - Before they installed it I asked them how much room the inverter and shutoff would take on the side of the house and they said around 3x4. I put up a piece of plywood 3x4 and capped it so they could mount it right to the plywood and I would side around it. The inverter and shutoff didn't take up nearly that much room and they bunched them together so it looked terrible. I had to have them come back and spread it out to make it look neater although now there are holes in the capping. After sales support - I wish I could give this negative stars because of how bad their support is. They send an employee out after install that says to contact him if you ever need anything yet if you call or email him you get no response. When you call about problems and ask for a department they will tell you you'll get a call back, sometimes you don't. Outside of hollow apologies they have no interest in actually taking care of the customer once they have your money. Probably the worst part of their support is they send their technicians without the parts they need to repair issues. It's all around terrible.
Response from Green Power Energy
Hi Jim, We are sorry to hear of your recent SolarEdge equipment failure. Our Service Team has been in communication with you and has gotten your equipment supplied by SolarEdge approved for warranty replacement. Your case number with SolarEdge for your inverter replacement is #3357662. As soon as we receive the replacement equipment we will install it immediately at your site. We are equally as frustrated that the initial component sent to us by SolarEdge did not solve the problem as we were planning to get your site up and running under SolarEdge Case #3322502. I see that you have a phone call setup to discuss this with our VP of Operations tomorrow and we will be here to continue to support your system and our warranty.

Not a good company
I chose Green Power Energy for a number of reasons, but mainly because I was GUARANTEED that they DID NOT use subcontractors. I was told ALL work was done IN HOUSE. This was not true! I ended up having leaks in my roof at almost EVERY point of penetration. The leaks just weren't in my attic, but have come through and damaged the cathedral ceiling in my formal living room. It has been two months since I notified them and the panels were removed. They are too busy playing the blame game with the subcontractor's insurance company to fix my house. The potential for this situation is why I questioned the use of subcontractors in the first place. I hired Green Power Energy, not the subcontractor. Fix my house and hash it out with the other company later. This installation has been a nightmare from the beginning! Not only does my roof need to be replaced as the damage is over 50% of my roof, my cathedral ceilings in my formal living room need to be torn out and replaced, the insulation in my attic needs to be replaced. As they continue to put off the repairs it is only getting colder. Anyone that knows anything about roofing knows that shingles will not seal properly when it is cold and penetrating the shingles to reinstall the solar system when the shingles are cold has the potential for cracking the shingles which could cause the roof to leak again. Not to mention I am obviously not producing power and EverSource is using my banked kWh for current bills. I wish I had gone with another company. If you are thinking about using Green Power Energy for your solar needs DO NOT!
Response from Green Power Energy
Hi Stephanie, we are very understanding and apologetic of the situation on your roof and are currently working with you to resolve it ASAP. We previously used a subcontractor on a small amount of our projects for installation labor and no longer use them in CT, NJ or PA. An insurance claim is underway to compensate you for any and all damages, including lost production. We are standing behind our warranty and are going to fix your system and your roof. We have been keeping you updated every step of the way and will continue to do so.

Where's my solar power?
Signed a contract in August. Was promised install would be complete by November. It is now January and I'm still not live. As stated in other comments, absolutely horrible customer service. They state they send you emails that you never receive, put the delay back on you, and also as someone else stated they want their money before the final inspection. We are in New Jersey, you get paid when you pass your final inspection. Installation is not complete until you PASS INSPECTION. Since final inspection, I was told someone from ACE would come out and put their panel on and I would be live. Well, it is now January 18th and still don't have the panel. I'm now being given excuses about ACE's backlog. Additionally, here we go again with the email excuse. "we sent you an email on three occasion with the docusign and you haven responded". Nope, no emails, finally I called them and asked for it to be sent again. Finally got it, it literally took 2 seconds for the docusign. I guess the thought of calling the customer and letting them know they are waiting on a document never crossed anyone's mind because they already are paid in full. So here I now sit, solar is not live and I have a $630.00 electric bill for December and am living on SSD. Thanks guys, I guess I'll figure something out.
Response from Green Power Energy
Hi Donna, sorry to hear about your experience. We wanted to let you know that your loan payments for the solar system do not start until mid-February. We just confirmed with your utility that they are scheduled to install your net meter before then. If you have to make a payment before the system is live, we will pay for your first month’s loan payment. We don't want any delay, utility or otherwise, to impact you financially. Once the system is turned on, we will reach out to you to provide the complimentary system walkthrough to setup your system monitoring and SRECs.

System is producing 20% less than promised
My system was installed about a year ago and I complained within a month that my system was producing way lower than I thought should be regular production. I was promised by the ower (Erik) that system will catch up in summer months and overall production should equal to total promised. We are almost near the one year of installation and I am down by 22+%. Now Eric has started making excuses and and told me that I requested them to change the layout, they sized it correctly and they expected it to be lower. There was no communication from the company that production was suppose to be lower than the initial contract I signed with them. I am evaluating my legal options as I feel completely cheated by this company. Apart from that, they did not even give me a review of the system even once after the project was completed and wanted me to pay in full before the last step of the project was complete.
