Green Power Energy was professional throughout the process from the initial quote to the present day. It has been a pleasure to work with them. We attempted to use other vendors, who were not as helpful and were more costly. Our installation was completed just prior to the quarantine and their team was diligent to get my panels working even though many of our town's municipalities were closed and our power company would not respond to communication. The panels are working as well if not better than my estimate. We are very happy.

I researched about 10 companies when choosing solar and had 6 film quotes. I was referred to Green Power by a coworker. Green Power had the best production estimate, production guarantee and warrenty. Their install service was excellent and they have consistently followed up with me after my system was turned on.

contacted multiple vendors for my solar install. GPE were the ones who gave me the most confidence from sales to delivery and install. And they delivered. Even during the days of COVID-19, there were minimal delays and I am very satisfied with my solar system and the electricity generation promised was delivered. The cost was also reasonable and did not break the bank. All in all, my research and trust in GPE paid off. This is not a job where you can go with the first vendor who knocks on your door. Solar is a long term project that must be executed impeccably. GPE did that right upto the final critter guards.

GPE - Very good company with great personnel

One of the best Companies and personnel I have interacted with. Example: Will Maska who will walk you through all the steps on Solar Readings, how to claim SREC, how the Solar Edge app works, etc. Will as well as rest of the staff at GPE are very knowledgable and go the extra mile to assist with selecting the right Solar panels and converters. Their price is very competitive if not the lowest but you pay for their service. If you are shopping for Solar energy then you must talk to them. I am just a satisfied customer and nothing more.

High quality installation from a high quality company

My experience with Green Power Energy has been excellent. Before selecting them, I reached out to several different solar providers and found GPE to be the most professional, trustworthy, and transparent one. GPE explained every step of the solar design and installation process thoroughly. They submitted a detailed design package to me for my approval before moving forward with the project. They were very attentive to our desires when locating the solar panels, conduit, and inverter. Because of that, we know exactly what we were getting, and where it was going. The final product was a very neatly installed solar system which I can truly appreciate being a registered professional engineer. Even after my final payment, Green Power Energy remained very engaged. They met with us again to explain how the system works, how to monitor performance, and how to sell our generated SRECs in the marketplace. Green Power Energy is a high quality company offering a high quality system design and installation. I’m very happy with my experience and would highly recommend them.

Very Good Experience

Green Power Energy finished the installation of my solar system and turned it on October 2019. I choose Green Power Energy, out of the 7 companies I researched, mainly due to the knowledge of the sales technician and the reputation of the company service team. Each step of the process was clearly communicated and the installation was completed without delay. The installers were courteous and respectful of my property. They, as well as the people in the office, were always willing to take the time to answer any questions I had. They even sent a technician out to train me on all the aspects of the system upon completion. As with any new system/technology there is always the chance of a minor glitch upon startup. They don’t just teach you how to monitor your new system, they also monitor it from their offices. I had such a glitch with a connection in a box on the roof. The technician in the office noticed it and called me before I even noticed it. Even though it did not shut the system down, they sent a service man out to fix it that same afternoon. I know the system is made of quality components, works well and has a great warranty. But one of the most important aspects to me is how quickly I get service if something does go wrong. Green Power Energy was there the same afternoon – service doesn’t get any better than that!

Great experience

Start to finish a professional, smooth process. We had about 60 roof mount panels installed. When progress wasn't acceptable to the GPE office they apologized with tangible help/compensation and progress updates. We chose GPE because of a personal connection with one of the VP's and knew that if he was involved it must be a good company!

Very good company for Solar system installation

We looked at 6-7 different solar companies and met with most of them. We finally settled on Green power energy. They are very good at what they do. The sales representative Luis was thorough and broke down the details very well. We reached out to him several times for questions, and he was always gracious in responding. We compared quotes and finally chose Green power energy. It took a few months to get the approvals, permits and everything including the loan stuff with bank in order. It’s a long process - don’t expect to sign a contract and have system up & running in a couple weeks. It will take a few months, but GPE is always there to assist with everything. Remember GPE is a local company so support your local companies! They also did a followup meeting to explain any questions about SREC, anniversary month, etc. Will was very good in followup meeting with wrapping up any final questions. Few notes: -GPE will install panels from almost any company you want. I would suggest you choose a good solar system company like Panasonic/LG/CanadianSolar/etc with good warranty. I don’t recommend going with some cheap Chinese company because they are often not reliable. -If you do a roof alongside solar panels, you cannot claim renewable energy tax credit on the roof part. Our CPA said roof would not be included so don’t think you can claim tax credit on both solar system and roof, even if the engineer says you can. Only solar panel system is eligible for renewable energy federal tax credit. -Be patient! We had panel installed in end of October. Our system was full activated in mid-December after electrician came out, PSE&G, etc. It takes some time. -We went through energysage to compare estimates with green power energy. I would recommend energysage. I highly recommend GPE. They know what they are doing!

A Great Solar Company

We are very pleased with our solar panel system. The savings on our electric bill is unbelievable. Even in the winter we have paid just the minimum monthly bill to the electric company. Can’t wait to get my first SREC check. As far as Green Power Energy service, you can’t ask for more. The installers were friendly as well as efficient. Any questions I had were addressed by someone in the office and if that couldn’t be answered, an agent would call back the same day with an answer. It’s a “no brainer” having the panels installed. The system pays for itself each month and once the installation cost is paid for (about 8 years - money saved on electric bills and the monthly SREC refunds) all the savings go into my pocket. Not to mention the 30 percent refund of the total system cost on my tax return. I should have had the solar panels installed years ago. Thank you Green Power Energy for turning me on to a great way to save money and help the clean up environment at the same time.

We researched many companies, mostly by reading customer reviews and following recommendations. Green Power seemed to stand out from the rest. Once we met with them, the passion and excitement from the sales rep. was clearly shining through. They were not only interested in profits, but also seemed to be looking out for our best interests as well. The install went just as they said it would. The follow up meeting was also informative and helpful. All their employees we came in contact with were friendly and helpful.

Exceptional Solar Installer

My experience with Green Power Energy has been nothing but great. In terms of project bids, they came in lowest and even gave an additional discounting to make the deal! The whole process starting from the initial estimate to final inspection went smoothly. Their financing options ware very clear unlike some others that we have evaluated. The proposal was very detailed and clear. They took care of all paperwork and permits for us. Installation took 3 days only. The installers were polite and professional. My system is running smoothly without any issues. Reaching people at Green Power Energy is as simple as making a phone call. I would definitely recommend them.

Very Satisfied with Green Power Energy

I could not be more pleased with the service I received from Green Power Energy. Their quote for my system was very competitive....almost 20% below the next highest bid. The team at GPE gave me personal attention and made me feel like I was their most important customer. I was kept informed of the progress with regard to approval, permits, equipment status and delivery, installation date, etc. GPE took care of all the details and were highly professional. I most strongly recommend Green Power Energy to anyone who is considering going solar.

Where's my solar power?

Signed a contract in August. Was promised install would be complete by November. It is now January and I'm still not live. As stated in other comments, absolutely horrible customer service. They state they send you emails that you never receive, put the delay back on you, and also as someone else stated they want their money before the final inspection. We are in New Jersey, you get paid when you pass your final inspection. Installation is not complete until you PASS INSPECTION. Since final inspection, I was told someone from ACE would come out and put their panel on and I would be live. Well, it is now January 18th and still don't have the panel. I'm now being given excuses about ACE's backlog. Additionally, here we go again with the email excuse. "we sent you an email on three occasion with the docusign and you haven responded". Nope, no emails, finally I called them and asked for it to be sent again. Finally got it, it literally took 2 seconds for the docusign. I guess the thought of calling the customer and letting them know they are waiting on a document never crossed anyone's mind because they already are paid in full. So here I now sit, solar is not live and I have a $630.00 electric bill for December and am living on SSD. Thanks guys, I guess I'll figure something out.

Great experience all around!

My husband and I met with several different companies before choosing Green Power Energy. All of the other companies were very high pressure sales pitches which we were instantly turned off by. When we brought in Green Power, they were laid back, yet professional and extremely knowledgeable. It was a no-brainer. Throughout the entire process, they kept us informed and let us know what next steps would be. We are up and running now and we're excited to be producing energy thanks to Green Power Energy!

Good Sales Process, Communication after sales has been terrible

The sales process was good, they met what I needed, and they engineered an OK system. They set the whole system on a single String, even though the Inverter supports 3 strings with Isolated MPP Tracking. This should have been split up because I have some panels facing North, and the rest South. This will limit my output because of shading and angle differences. The Communication from the company has been one of the worst experiences. My project manager Alex Murro was non responsive, and it took several emails and calls before I would hear anything in response. The install was at my beach house, a 2 hour drive from where I live. The install was scheduled on a Friday, so I took off from work and drove down. The installers were supposed to be there at 9:00, so when no one was there by 10:00 I emailed and called. Eventually they got back to me stating it was to windy for the install. I was at the house, and there was absolutely no wind, and no wind in the forecast either. It was a beautiful day, and there was not reason except they either screwed up the schedule, or the crew wanted a Friday Off. No one called me to let me know they weren't sending a crew, so I wasted my time, my Work PTO, and mileage on my car. For the finalization of the permits they didn't provide all the info to the township engineer and I am still waiting for a status for the past 20 day from the company with out any proactive communication from the company. I have had the panels on the house for almost 45 days, and I still can't use them. The most important part of a Solar Company is their Customer Service, and Communication. Any company can install solar panels, but how they treat their customers is what is important. I would NEVER suggest this company, especially if your rep is Alex.

Great job with green power energy

After receiving proposals from various solar companies I decided to hire green power energy. The company recommended a superior panel and thoroughly explained all my options. They did a good job going through the whole project with me from beginning to end. They helped with the SREC process and addressed all questions I had throughout and after the installation. I would hire them again and recommend them to my family and friends.

This is the second home I've had solar installed on and I can say with confidence that Green Power is leaps and bounds ahead of their competitors. There was never any pressure to commit, just informed recommendations and guidance. Austin patiently walked us through explaining each step of the process and promptly responded to texts with any questions we had. The installation was smooth and trouble free. Will expertly guided us through the SREC process and advised us of our options in that regard. I have already recommended Green Power to friends who have asked about our solar project and will continue to do so. Couldn't be happier!
