SunLux

SunLux led me to believe the installation would be completed by year-end so I could qualify for the 2025 tax credits. After signing in August, permits weren’t submitted until November, communication was poor, and the project stalled. During a phone call, their project manager became unprofessional and made threats stating my project could be intentionally delayed. Their delays made installation impossible and forced me to cancel. I continue to struggle to get responses and my deposit returned. I would not recommend this company.

When thus cuando wants to sell you their system, they portrait themselves.as the best option.. once they get your business things change and to get a call could take literally forever. Not a very good experience with this company , watch out!!

Shane was sent to us by Sunlux to look at our solar because we had higher than usual electric bills. He looked at the system and discovered our air conditioning was malfunctioning. Shane was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He was also courteous and patient with our numerous questions. We are very grateful for his help.

SunLux did a great job with the solar panel planning and installation process. Their people were pleasant and capable. The system has just been turned on and is operational. It did take a few months to get final approval from SunPower who is our ultimate panel provider for service, however, SunLux did their part and hopefully, the number of panels installed will serve my family well going forward.

Yeah, I contacted Sunlux and signed a contract back in November 2022 Reason I discovered Sunlux is from the house whisperer Dean Sharp Although the process took quite a while, we finally got permission to operate today. From the original salesperson, Mike Valencia to the installers and finally the operations manager I have to give a shout out to Gabriel Benko who I firmly believe if it wasn’t for him, we would not be completed. Gabriel was instrumental in fighting constantly with SCE getting our final permission to operate. Gabriel responded to my emails always less than five minutes which is unbelievable! He is truly an asset to Sunlux! I am a real estate broker in our area and have a lot of clients that would be interested in solar, and/or battery backup systems and would highly recommend Sunlux! Especially if Gabriel would be somewhat involved as I know, my clients would be very well taken care of! I just completed a solar system installation by Sunlux, and could not be more pleased. From my first meeting with Don, until the day it was turned on, things ran smoothly. I would like to commend our project manager, Shawna, who always answered my numerous emails promptly and professionally. She was adept at interacting with the HOA and the City, as well as SDG&E, which made things move along efficiently. I am most grateful to her. We are looking forward to many years of solar power with Sunlux.

My system was installed around 4 years ago. I upgraded and added 5 panels last year. Just had a $550 bill and a projected this month bill of another $500+ and after multiple emails, calls and service tickets over the past two weeks still no call or care to have someone come and look at it and fix it. They only seem to care about install and after that they just don't care.

Solar system lost 60% of it's generation in just 3 years. Sunlux has been completely unresponsive with support. I can't even get anyone to come out and look at my system.

Poor workmanship on my service panel installer said that the next guy would solve the issue issue not solved and non responsive after final inspection still no ability to monitor the system and no communication

Just want to say that Shawna was extremely helpful throughout this entire process. Shawna constantly answered all our questions and provided us with all the information we requested and I have to add, did it with a smile. Shawna never acted like we were bothering her. I must’ve called 50 times with questions .The entire team at SUNLUX was very professional. I recommend Sunlux if you’re getting Solar.

Excellent walk through on the process by the estimation team. The installation was less than a day, once permits from the city had come through and the crew were really nice, courteous and seemed to like my dog (she likes to supervise). Clean and well-done installation. I thought the engraved likeness of the house with the solar arrays that was installed on the panel was a nice touch! Berlyn was excellent in keeping us up to date on what was going on and getting all of the paperwork sorted out and the permits in order. Kudos to Berlyn! Thank You!

Shawna was tremendously great form beginning to end. She went above and beyond to get me enrolled in NEM 2.0. She even worked after office hours and on her vacation day to communicate with SCE constantly to complete my application. She's the best and highly recommended. I would also like to thank Installation team Lead Kurtiss Reed, Omar Ceja, Dave Perry and Alejandro Cabellos. Also Inspection team Felipe, Michael and Adrian was the Great and made sure everything is up to date and passed city's inspection. I wish I can give 10 stars to this Company and team members. Each team member that we worked with provided us with excellent service and follow up. There were significant delays with the city permitting (to be expected) but Shawna kept me informed each week that she was committed to pushing them along.

I have been researching going solar for a few years and just never pulled the trigger. I had decided a long time ago to go with Sunlux, for a few reasons but mainly because Don (gary) Lupo was very patient and willing to answer all my questions and concerns very clearly and honestly. I wish I would've gone forward earlier. I was really nervous to make this big investment but I was so very pleased how smooth this whole process was. it was a pleasure to work through this process with this team. Berlyn was so amazing with her proffesional and couteous customer service, at first I thought her emails were canned responses until i actually asked her something and her response was immediate, that goes along way with me! I also expected major delays and made sure I packed my patience because I came in right before the deadline of NEM 2. To my surprise the process went way faster and way smoother than expected and Berlyn was very efficient with her weekly communications and I was informed on what to expect at every step. I will gladly refer this company, it has really been a pleasure working with the whole team !!!

Despite multiple communications over the course of 2 months, SunLux has not enabled the Wi-Fi system necessary for us to both monitor our solar generation and to confirm it is communicating to our utility company. SunLux left the inverter off after installation - something we had to find and remedy - and now have not responded for over a month to enable the Wi-Fi connection. Had I been wiser, payment would have been withheld until Wi-Fi and utility communication was validated. Fingers crossed a public negative review will prompt appropriate action.

The project has been a success, in that the solar system seems to be functioning. All of the workers who were at the house were professional and great to work with. Great communication, etc. Shawna was our project manager and she was fantastic throughout the project and after. We have an electrical issue having to do with the main panel that they replaced. Our washing machine now trips a breaker frequently. We are confident Sunlux will address the issue and we'll then be 100% happy.

Very good overall experience with my home solar project installtion at Torrance CA, Sunlux team and the project unit worked well to get project plan approval to SCE energy approval effectively and timely manner. Glad to have received SCE approval that i am grandfathered in NEM 2.0.I am glad to have handed project to Sunlux after several levels of comparision of panel quality, project cost, warranty and timeline, long term support. The project Team finished the work with high quality, finishing and timeliness.It has been almost 6 weeks since install by panel performance is more then indicated efficiency . Very satisfyed.

We had a wonderful and seamless experience with Sunlux. Berlyn Yamas was our coordinator and followed up with us weekly, handled getting the appropriate HOA requirements and city approvals, and even help set up our NEM with SDGE. The panels were installed in a timely manner and communication was above and beyond. I will recommend her to all our neighbors and friends!

Sunlux provided excellent service to us on the installation of our solar system. They were efficient, clean and professional. Prior to the installation of the solar panels, we elected to replace our roof, which Sunlux handled for us. They did a great job and it was really nice to let them coordinate all of the necessary steps along the way. Additionally, our Project Manager, Berlyn Yamas, was fantastic!! She is an absolute professional and keep us posted during the entire process. She answered our questions and took great care of us. She patiently dealt with the City Inspector and was absolutely great. I cannot speak her praise highly enough!

My project manager was great in keeping me informed with progress of the project. There was an issue with my city permits, but both the city and Sunlux worked to resolve the issues.

Hi! We heard about SunLux from KFI and then from one of the neighbors and felt that the would look into SunLux to install our solar system. It was extremely simple from start to finish on SunLux's side. The only issue that I had wasn't with SunLux, but with SDGE. The positive is that Alex from SunLux was with us from day 1 and he helped make sure everything was in order with SDGE (even when they changed their policy in the middle of the approval), he was extremely patient with us and determined with SDGE. I highly recommend SunLux to those who are considering solar!!

Over the years we have looked into solar many times. Recently I researched solar companies and contacted Sunlux myself. We had a very professional presentation by the salesman which was absolutely not high pressure but very informative. We also discovered that loans are not all the same. Some companies use loans that are very low in interest (1.99%) but have a hidden huge loan origination fee! Plus, after seeing the quality of their Tesla products and feeling very comfortable with the caliber of the company, we decided to go with Sunlux. Sunlux is one of very few companies that does not use contractors for the install but have all their own employees. Our installation went very smoothly and we were kept informed at each step of the way. The only problem was with the final completion of the project and receiving our permit to use from the electric company. We were told it would take approximately 6 weeks after installation to get our permit but I had to follow through with the project manager to push for final inspection with our city (finally done on October 31) so application could be made to Edison. After submission twice by Sunlux with errors causing it to be rejected twice, final approval was given by Edison on December 6 — 10 weeks after installation. Other than this final delay, everything went very smoothly and we are very pleased with our system. And we even had a small test of the abilities of the battery. Recently during a thunder storm our power went out briefly and it seamlessly switched over to the battery! What a wonderful thing to have peace of mind during a power blackout. We would definitely recommend Sunlux for any solar project.

My experience with SunLux was outstanding. We experienced Exceptional Expertise in Customer Service, Project Management and Installation. Chris Dillard was my initial point of contact. Chris provided an outstanding presentation both on paper and online explaining all of the detail of solar panels, the components, and the software that calculates the exact position of each panel based upon the exact path of the sun over the 365 day year utilizing the exact location of my home using GPS and over 1,000 drone photos. He also promptly called me back with all of my questions that came up. Chris provided excellent, professional, prompt customer service. Bonnie Torres provided above and beyond excellent, professional, prompt customer service, often multiple times per day, during all hours of the day, including evenings and weekends beyond normal business hours. I can not say enough about Bonnie’s knowledgeable expertise on all facets and components of the project, all while juggling many members of the SunLux team that performed installation at my home. In addition, she continuously was in contact with the city of Ventura in regard to the final approval of my SunLux Solar components, and she expedited the final approval with Edison, our power company for Ventura County and much of California. Without Bonnie’s relentless communication with the City of Ventura, I believe the final approval process it would have taken much longer, as I have heard of from other neighbors, friends and colleagues that have had solar installed at their homes. Again, I am so grateful that Bonnie was our Project Manager, as that is such a critical, focal point in the success of any project. Lastly, Jessica Britzman - Engineer Who Mapped the Panals and our entire System, including SolarEdge, provided excellent, professional, prompt customer service. I would recommend anyone that is considering solar power for their home to compare three competitors to SunLux when making a final decision on which company to choose for their home solar solution. It will become evident by the expertise of SunLux in Customer Service, Project Management and Installation that SunLux will be the superior choice.

I ordered the Tesla battery after my system was installed, (quite efficiently), a couple of years ago; however, it took a long time for Tesla to make it available. Once it came in, Sunlux was right there for the installation, then it was the City of Ventura's chance to slow everything down due to their staffing issues. We made it past that and So Cal Edison took their sweet time in approving the work, which was solely because of their bureaucracy. The battery works great and I'm ecstatic with everything Sunlux installed. Thanks for your patience and tenacity.

All team are nice and patient

After signing the agreement to contract Sunlux to install solar panels on five homes, LG announced the company was ceasing production of its solar panels. Although it was no fault of their own, Sunlux upgraded all five homes to more powerful, more aesthetically appealing, and more expensive Tesla solar panels for the same price quoted for the LG panels. It was an unexpected gesture that reassured me I had made the right choice of solar installer.

I was satisfied with my solar system from sales to installation. Berlyn, the PM, was very helpful during the installation process. Chris, with sales, was very thorough with the system and the contract. The system was activated last 8/26/22. So far it has been performing well. Waiting for my first electric bill with solar.

Bonnie always responded very quickly and efficiently to every question or concern that I had during the very complex process of getting a new solar system put in. Our questions were answered and the install went well. We had frequent contact with the project manager, Alex, who was helpful with all of our questions and concerns.

The process took a few months from start to finish but Sunlux was there the whole time making sure everything was moving forward. Our sales representative was Gary Lupo, he was very helpful and answered all of our questions. Our project manager was Erik Karlson, he also was very helpful, easy to get in touch with and he handled everything from scheduling the installation, securing the necessary permits, and working with our electric company. All-in-all it was a good experience. We are looking forward to having solar and reducing our electric bill.

An install of solar and battery. The solar went in April 2021 Everything went well and my project manager and installers were excellent. It has been working well for over a year so far. No problems. Battery (Tesla) was not available until April 2022. Same thing, project manager (Erika Garcia) this time did an excellent job as did the installers. So as of June 8th 2022 Everything is running well. Well done to all involved.
