Nuera solar is very adamant about using All-black panels, which not only make for a nicer look, but apparently have better production as well.
This is because of the heat they attract, being black, AND because they are made from a single sheet of silicone, instead of multiple patches of silicone that are made into 1 single sheet. If you see a blue panel, it is the result of multiple patches of silicone and is less efficient, according to the sales rep and my own research based on what he told me... read more

In September of 2017, OnSite Energy installed 17 300 Watt Monocrystalline Solar black solar modules on our south-facing roof. The work was completed within two days by two courteous technicians, including installation of a SolarEdge 5kW Inverter. The system passed City inspection the first time, and it started functioning perfectly immediately after installation of the required net meter by Northwestern Energy. It was a pleasure working with the company’s representative who provided us with the initial proposal. In short, the entire process from start to finish was handled in a friendly, knowledgeable, and professional manner, and we highly recommend OnSite to anyone contemplating a solar installation.... read more

I like the rail-free design. It actually helped speed up the installation process as in our township there is an extra step to inspect the rails before the panels go on. THe panels are a true black unlike some blues and brown panels I have seen. The skirts provide a very nice finish to the overall look on the house.
The only factor that kept me from rating 5-stars is the mounting hardware. The clamps that connect the panels and secure them to the roof are raised above the panel surface. Nothing done wrong, it's just a tradeoff of the rail free system. I'm just picky and would have liked to have my cake and eat it too, but life is a trade-off.

Good quality polysilicon PV panel. Best value I know of these days. We limit ourselves to panels that have a little longer leads so they can be "skip wired" which saves on wire and has less voltage drop too. They are one of the only brands that even knows about this issue.... This is a brand that used to be German made, but is now produced in the Orient by Hanwa.... read more
