My wife, Megan, and I wanted to write to thank Green Power Energy for a wonderful experience. Yesterday we had our final inspection and everything went well. We could not be more delighted with the entire experience. From the initial sales meetings, with Andrew, all the way through to the final inspection, with Stash. Thank you all for your professionalism. I would be remiss if I did not say something extra about Christian and his team, Jesse and Nick. They were spectacular, you should be very proud of them. I had tons of questions and they all took the time to answer them. Christian walked me around the project, numerous times, explained what everything was, what they were doing and why. He never got impatient, even when I asked the same questions. He would call me after hours to let me know when they would be there the next day and kept me in the loop the entire time, a true pro. Jesse and Nick took the time to show me the inverters and explain why we were using them and where they went. It was truly a pleasurable experience.

I would like to offer high recommendation of green power energy. Everyone from team was very professional and courteous. Tim did a great job in explaining the benefits of solar particularly customized to my property. The installation was done very efficiently and from what I can tell so far everything appears to be of highest quality. Only time will tell how the product fares over the years but so far I could not ask for better team to work with in delivering solar panels to my house. Thanks Green Power.

Green Power Energy is awesome!

After years of wanting to "go solar" and not finding anyone that I felt knew what they were talking about, I found Rich Meurer and Andrew Contrino at Green Power. They actually knew what they were talking about, were able to show me in plain terms the economics of my decision and showed me a plan to implement. They did a great job and I couldn't be happier with the whole process from A-Z. The only thing they were wrong about was my breakeven time....It is even shorter than expected! I highly recommend this group if you are serious about solar.

No Regrets

My husband and I talked to representatives from several solar companies before deciding to hire Green Power to install solar panels on both our house and business. The individuals that we dealt with at Green Power were much more professional, knowledgeable and helpful. We have been very happy with the performance of our panels at both locations.

Happy with Re-Installation

Faced with a recall from BP Solar of my 2006 roof-top system, I had to decide whether to re-install the system or not. Of all of my options I chose to remove the panels from my roof and install a new replacement system on the ground. Because of local regulations, it was 50% smaller, but with newer technology I was able to get about 70-80% of the power I previously obtained from the old system. GPE reviewed my situation and built a ground-based system for me. I am very happy with the system they constructed and glad it is on the ground now instead of my roof because of the ease of cleaning when it snows and my not having to be concerned about removing it when I need to replace the shingles of my 21-year-old roof. Their installation and support has been professional and cordial and I look forward to doing work with them in the future on other electrical projects.

Great experience with GPE: 5.5 KWH Roof Mounted Solar System

GPE installed a 5.5 KWH roof mounted solar system consisting of 22 panels and a SMA Sunny Boy 5000 with secure power supply. Working with Eric and Tim was a pleasure, they were both knowledgeable and responsive to any questions. I most enjoyed my dealing with them prior to signing the contract. They were the only installer that took the time to explain our options thoroughly and worked with us to choose the best options based on our current needs. I never felt like they were salesmen with an agenda. I found the price to be very competitive. The installation was extremely easy on us as homeowners. GPE handled all permits and inspections and they system was installed with near zero impact on our daily routine. The installation crew was extremely professional and work neatly. The system has been performing as described since it was activated and we are looking forward to years of savings. I highly recommend GPE to anyone who is considering installing a solar system

Great Customer Service

We bought our solar system almost five years ago. We have been thrilled with the results - low energy bills and feel great about doing our part for the environment. We recently noticed one of the panels was under-producing. We called Green Power Energy and they took care of it right away. It's nice to know that once the sale is complete, they're still on your side providing great customer service.

From day one, our dealings with Green Power Energy have been a pleasure. Tim and Andrew, the sales team, were both highly informative and clearly explained the complete process from the beginning. We interviewed several contractors, and Green Power Energy's quote was highly competitive. Once we signed up for a system, GPE handled all of the necessary paperwork for filing with the township, state and the electric company. Getting the approvals from the state and especially the electric company took quite a while, but once the approvals came in we were off to the races. Within two weeks from the day the approvals came in GPE had Dave and his crew of his installers over. Dave and the team did a great job keeping a tidy work site and made sure we knew what was happening each step of the install. Both my wife and I work from our home, so we were impressed how the team was able to accomplish their job with minimal interruptions to us. Professionals through and through. Mike showed up for the final inspections and system walk through and let us know we could reach out to him at any point if we had any questions. We now have a fully functioning solar system and we couldn't be happier. GPE's communication and execution have been exemplary. Green Power Energy did a terrific job and we trust we can count on them to provide us with any future support we require.

My roof would not accommodate the system, so we found an ideal spot on my property and built landscaping to hide it, so it is barely visible. They did a very neat job, and give great follow-up service, to assure I am pleased and it is working fine. Everyone should do this if they can afford it, because it is a great investment that makes you money after it is paid off in about 4 years.

Two Solar systems installed at Reno Farm

This review is written to convey a very Positive input about Green Power Energy (GPE). My wife Grace and I had a great experience working with GPE from start-to-finish. Installed Mid Oct to first week Nov 2015. We have a farm and after the GPE team reviewed our particular circumstances, decided on install of two systems which really makes a lot of sense when considering the locations of our farm house and the various farm buildings. For the system which provides solar to our house, they put panels on two attached barns about 125 feet away from our house. The related solar electronics and equipment are mounted on an inside wall of the first barn and they trenched the solar electric over to our house. This worked out very well, because our house roof is small and our roof faces in a poor direction for solar power. The second (smaller of the two systems) solar system panels were installed on roof of another barn which was clustered relatively close to the other farm buildings. The solar equipment electronics and related items are mounted on an inside wall of this barn and provides solar power to the five (5) other farm buildings. From Sales to final operations the team was thorough, professional and precise. The sales people (Andrew) answered all our questions in great detail and was highly responsive. The installation team (Christian) was completely thorough, and worked closely with us on every detail. They were very good with communicating what they were going to do and when. Prior to doing any work they made sure that their working would not impact our daily schedules. All the various inspection schedules were setup by GPE and the inspections including the final inspections went very well. (Eric) of the ops team ensured a seamless go-live. My wife and I highly recommend Green Power Energy to anyone looking for a great solar company to work with. Extra note detail: As mentioned above they trenched the electric about 125 feet from a barn to our house. The members of that team did a great job of digging the trench, back filling and packing, and then back filling and packing more, repeating the process over and over till the deep ditch was filled back to ground level. By back filling and packing in steps, instead of just dumping the dirt back into the long trench, this Prevents the dirt fill from sinking and causing you a un-level lawn area a few months after a trench is filled just by dumping dirt into it. I consider this an “Extra” effort by members of that GPE team. When completed they then grass seeded the area and put hay over the newly seeded ground.

GPE completed the job on time (actually a few days early), no surprises, everyone I dealt with was knowledgeable, professional, courteous and hard working. They did what they said they would do when they said they would do it - how often do you hear that when dealing with contractors? Price was competitive (I received 3 quotes). Installation was truly professional. I highly recommend these guys.

In the fall of 2013 GREEN POWER ENERGY installed solar panels on the roof of my house. Even during winter I could see the system generating electricity in form of SRECs. At the height of summer the full benefit came in form of substantial checks from Green Power for the accumulated SRECs . My electrical bills in the summer show credits instead of hundreds of dollars per month during the previous years. Finally no more bad conscience when turning on the air condition. I am also very happy with the looks, the panels on the roof are black and blend in perfectly with dark shingles. All in all, don’t hesitate to get the job done, you will not regret it!! I highly recommend Green Power to do the job.

Worked with Green Power Energy after interviewing several companies. These guys were great! Sales people were very informative and helpful, installers were focused and got the job done, operations people helped the 'go-live' and info on the SREC accounts. Moreover, the installers, who were at our house for 10 days, were very mindful of respectful of our young children. In all, this was a great experience. Panels have been on the roof doing 'their thing' for 6 months, trouble free, delivering as advertised.
