Green Power Energy did a great job installing my solar panels. The roofers they employed were efficient worked tirelessly to get the job done. The solar panel installers did a superb job and once the rough inspection was done they worked to install the panels on the same day right up to nightfall. The electricians were efficient and courteous. My kudos to the entire Green Power Energy Team.

Green Power did great quality work on installing a new inverter for my system, and correcting some wiring issues in the array of our existing panels installed in 2003. We have had our system for almost a year. Very pleased. Working like a charm. Very responsive if we have any questions. Our electric bill is now $2.42/month. We have gotten 11 certificates so far which Green Power handles for a very nominal fee. Will tax rebate will probably pay for itself in 4-5 years. Workmanship was outstanding when the system was installed. Neighbor has also used Green Power and is very happy. Real professionals

Residential Installation

I selected Green Power Energy after reviewing proposals from 6 companies. They were very competitive with pricing and they very good reviews. I also liked the size of the company, not too big or small. Their on site representatives were very prompt, courteous and thorough.The installers were great (very good clean up) and the system is running without issue. My only issue was in some delays in communication regarding permits. I would use them again.

Excellent company to deal with. Tim, Mike and the rest of the team we're very responsive to my concerns and questions. I did a lot of research through Energy Sage and it came down to three companies. All three companies we're pretty close in terms of pricing and materials used. The difference is the warranty, the experience of the company, value of what I am paying for,  and most importantly, in my case,  the customer service support.  I'm glad I went with Green Power Energy. I had some minor issues,  one in particular was regarding the conduit location. They were able to address it  and resolve it quickly to my satisfaction. What differentiates a good company and a not-so-good company is how  quickly they  respond to customers issues and how they will resolve it. It's easy to have good reviews  when everything goes smoothly with the job. However, if  issues arise,  you want  a company that listens to you and be confident that they will address them quickly and to your satisfaction. Green Power Energy was excellent in responding to my concerns and issues and resolved them quickly without any hassle. So far, it has been a little over a year since my solar panels were installed.  To this date, it has been great. No technical issues and minimal  or no electric bill except taxes and fees. Since I bought system,  I have earned about 6 SREC certifiates as of now. I recommend Green Power Energy to anyone who is in the market for solar panel o installation.

Great system, easy install process.

We purchased a 12.4 kWp roof-top system from Green Power Energy in March of 2017. The installation went smoothly, and the system has been producing great power since it went live. We had one bad panel at commissioning, which was replaced within a week. They even sent a company out to install squirrel/bird gaurds around the panels at no cost to us.

Green Power Energy took the time to answer all of my questions and explain how the system works from the bottom to the top. The installation was professionally done, and when a worker made a mistake, management was quick to make it right. The system is operating beautifully and as promised. We are very happy! In particular, Will Miska was very friendly and helpful, and took extra time to explain how our bill works.

Top Notch installation

Cannot say enough about Sonny, my salesman, and the Green Power Energy team. Once we agreed on a price Green Power took care of everything from start to finish. They interfaced with the township and the electric company to get everything up and running in record time. Very Pleased

We have had solar power at our farm for 8 years but needed to expand our array. Green Power installed our new panels this winter. They were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Because we are a working horse stable the work had to be scheduled around our customer activity. They did a great job. I would recommend Green Power to anyone wishing to add solar to their property.

My wife, Megan, and I wanted to write to thank Green Power Energy for a wonderful experience. Yesterday we had our final inspection and everything went well. We could not be more delighted with the entire experience. From the initial sales meetings, with Andrew, all the way through to the final inspection, with Stash. Thank you all for your professionalism. I would be remiss if I did not say something extra about Christian and his team, Jesse and Nick. They were spectacular, you should be very proud of them. I had tons of questions and they all took the time to answer them. Christian walked me around the project, numerous times, explained what everything was, what they were doing and why. He never got impatient, even when I asked the same questions. He would call me after hours to let me know when they would be there the next day and kept me in the loop the entire time, a true pro. Jesse and Nick took the time to show me the inverters and explain why we were using them and where they went. It was truly a pleasurable experience.

Great local solar installer

Working with them from day 1 was a great experience. The sales person who helped me was very knowledgeable, explained everything, and was very attentive whenever I had a question. They took care of all the permits for my installation. Once we got all the permits, they came and installed the system in about 3-4 days. The three people that came were very polite, and did a very clean job. They even asked me how I wanted the conduits routed so that they wouldn't be seen from the street. Definitely went above and beyond and I have a system that looks much better than the others in the neighborhood. Once the final inspection occurred, they were here to ensure everything was fine. It passed inspection the first time around and I have been producing my all electricity ever since. Highly recommended.

The best Solar company in NJ

As a new solar owner from Princeton, I have to say this is the best solar company in NJ. I have just got solar system installed by Green Power Energy few weeks ago. Before I hired them, I had contacted all major solar companies in NJ(15+), I compared their services, cost, warranty and support. I found out this is the best,#1, they got 20 year warranty and they come same day if you need support. In terms of price, they are the best, 10-20% less than all firms for the same brand panelssame parts. and their service are so good, people are so nice and professional to answer all question. I highly recommend Green Power Energy to everyone. They are the #1 in NJ.

I interviewed several local and national solar installers, and chose Green Power, because their presented themselves straightforwardly and without hype. Their price was good and explanation of the process was clear. When it came to the installation and the follow up they outperformed my expectations. They continue support and help. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

An excellent experience in every way

Green Power Energy provided an excellent and professional experience for our family in "going solar." Steve McHale was our initial contact, and he did a great job of explaining what we would be getting and helping us to figure out where these two enormous ground arrays would fit. His colleagues followed up in good time, with installation (Bruce and Linda); and Eric, Kevin, and Michael have been available to answer questions along the way (and up to the present--March 1, 2017) and to deal with the few minor glitches that occurred in the first weeks till the system was up and running. We are about to receive our first payments for the SRECs we have produced.

Everyone wins Part 1

I had a couple of bad experiences with solar energy companies. I wanted to try one more time. I went on line to gather information and one name jumped out at me - Green Power Energy. I contacted them and Barry came and spoke about the whole process. In addition to the information Barry gave me, I liked his style of salesmanship. No pressure. This is the way I like to deal with sales issues. I liked what I heard and my wife and I decided to purchase the system through Barry from Green power Energy. There were a couple of points in the contract that I was not happy with. I discussed these with Barry. He went back to the company and resolved them immediately to my satisfaction.The parts were ordered. Stas came and inspected my roof. He also was the crew chief for the installation of the panels. The crew consisted of three young men. They worked in weather that I did not want to go out in. They were extremely polite and professional in their work. We were very happy with what they did. The next step was having electricians come to wire up the system to our house. Again two young guys very polite and professional in their work. We are now waiting for the inspectors to come and check the work. This is part one of my review since we are not at the point of getting our electrical energy from the sun. Everyone should understand that this is a lengthy process. It does not happen over night. We certainly are not disappointed with how long it is taking. The time is well spent in that they are doing a great job.Part two will follow upon the completion of the whole project.

Great Job

Green Power Energy was very professional and did everything they said they would do from start to finish. We had a ground mount system installed in the fall of 2016. All aspects of the project were completed in a timely manner. Communication was excellent in that our sales contact, Christine Schneider, promptly responded to all phone calls and emails and kept the process moving forward. After completion of the system, our first electric bill was $4.04, and that was just a service charge! We are completely satisfied with the company and highly recommend them.

In every phase of providing a solar energy system (proposal, approval from township and utility, installation, turn up), Green Power was excellent. If you are looking to buy a system for your home, you need to look no further - I highly recommend this company. They made everything seem so easy. I found each person (regardless of function) to be professional with superb customer interaction skills. I chose Green Power partly based on the excellence of past reviews and they have excelled. I don't normally give glowing reviews but they truly deserve them. 5 stars!!!!

Great Company

I highly recommend this company. I decided to look at local NJ companies in addition to the more well know national companies. They sold me the highest powered system for the lowest price with the same warranty. Instead of just a phone conversation, a salesman came to my house 2 days after I contacted them. I was already somewhat knowledgeable about solar, then did more research on equipment and manufacturers. The salesman Will was very friendly, and answered every question I had. He also showed me the U.S. Dept of Energy website "pvwatts" that taught me how to estimate solar production for my address. I had my choice as to what company's panels to use, and I was glad to select American made Suniva panels. GPE will also sell your SRECs for you if choose to have them do it. Front beginning to end, everyone from the salesman, to the engineering and installation crews, to office personnel were excellent. Installation and activation were right on schedule, I knew what to expect every step of the way. Will sent me emails to constantly update me. The install crew was neat and clean, and the system has been performing as expected. Actually, slightly better. It has now been 2 months since activation. Two other things. I had one cosmetic issue and they went out of their way to accommodate me. Also, when PSE&G changed my meter, they didn't turn off my system first, causing a software failure. GPE had someone over the next day to care of it. I couldn't be happier with this company and strongly recommend them.

A Real Good Group

A very good experience. I let Greg know that I would probably be a tough customer. Having built my home, and, I did all the electrical work myself. With a watchful eye from Mike, the crews arrived as promised, and Christian (DC & Panel install crew leader) quickly quelled any doubts I might have had. Expert listeners, but more importantly, super meticulous technicians. Fast, courteous, neat. The AC side was handled expertly by Fred and his capable crew with all the care and precision as the DC side was conducted. I've not seen such nice work in ONE DAY. GPE is great in all aspects, I can't say more.

Very Happy Customer

Our solar system was one of the early ones in NJ; we went live near the end of 2004. The reality of the solar business at that time was many small firms doing the sales and installation work, with the state paying 70% of the cost for approved installations. But, the state made the vendors wait to receive their $$. Which caused problems with vendor longevity, due to cash flow issues. Our original installer grew in size, and then sold out to an even larger firm. They in turn sold to a third firm. Who went out of business for a lack of cash. Ten years after installation, we needed two of our four inverters replaced. Called three or four firms, but could not find any of them interested in servicing another company's installation. Then we found Green Power Energy [GPE]. GPE sent out a very knowledgeable tech to troubleshoot our system. He spent a lot of time on the phone with the inverter manufacturer. Came to the conclusion that two of the four inverters were beyond repair, and needed replacement. But, GPE suggested replacing all four with one larger inverter [which was not available in 2004] to update the entire system and save us money. Verified the new configuration with the manufacturer. As soon as the new inverter arrived, GPE installed both the inverter and a revenue-grade meter, in August 2014. Two years later, solar production registered at 25 MwH. Or, 25 SRECs, for those interested in the $$. So, the twelve year old system is producing as much power now as it was when it was new. Whenever any questions arise, the GPE team is always ready to provide answers. They seem to really care about their customers. Even this one, that they inherited at age ten. I would heartily recommend GPE to anyone either considering a new solar installation or with a current system.

Highly Recommended

Excellent company to work with for your solar needs. The people are pleasant, responsive and knowledgeable. We met with them in May 2015, installation was August 2015 and we were turned on in November 2015. The delay between installation and turn on was due to JCP&L, but Green Power stayed involved by following up with JCP&L multiple times. We highly recommend using Green Power Energy, a very friendly but professional company.
