Don't Bother
Contracted the company 3 years ago to do an install (and boy do I wish I'd gone with SunRun). Their installer missed a key installation and solar interconnection date resulting in my system producing free electricity for our electric utility (PG&E) to then sell to its customers at market rate. The total amount I will pay for the system (which is financed) is about $110,000. The only benefit is I have a back up battery in case PG&E power goes out. Did I mention the system stopped working early this month and there is no help available/offered?

Damaged Roof, Misleading Information
Bright Planet Solar came to my home, they told me I was going to get a new roof prior to installing panels. I am away for work weeks at a time, they came while I was out and installed the panels without new roof. When I came home and asked why? They said that they determined I did not need a new roof. If you look at my roof it clearly needed to be replaced. I now have leaks in my home, they came and did a poor job of trying to fix the issue, I had to hired someone to fix what we could without removing the panels. Bright Planet now is saying that they are not coming back to fix anything as the roof was in bad condition prior. The misleading information is that they told me a price for the financing and how much it would go up and told me that because of the amount of energy the panels were going to consume, I would most likely not going to pay anything in my electric bill. I am paying for financing them plus $200-$300 monthly on my electric bill. I recommend that no one use Bright Planet Solar, I should've read the reviews prior and now I will be spending money on an attorney to try and get this resolved.

Worst experience with any company. They are deceitful.
Agreed to have them manage the installation in early 2024 and the door-to-door salesmen promised the panels would produce enough energy to cover 108% of existing usage. I was still skeptical but I would be OK if they covered at least 80%. After 1 year of using these panels, they only cover 46% of usage. They first sent a crew to install the panels within 1 month of singing the agreement, but it would take them an additional 5 months to update the electrical as required by the town. Every time they would send a different set of electricians to work and every time they will not pass the city's or ComEds inspection. I probably called more than 30 times into their office to complain about the lack of planning and poor quality of work that was not only causing delays, but leaving drilled holes in my home. I had to inspect my self and point to them a hole they left unsealed hole on the roof. Nobody would take responsibility because there was no single manager managing the project and every time I called it was a different person. Towards the end I had to force their electricians to meet with ComEd and communicate with the city to make sure the next job they do meets code. Their electricians would blame the city for "changing requirements" and I would call the city and ComEd and they would blame the company for not reading the code at the beginning. Terrible company and acting like children. I began to think that they were fraudulent and purposely caused delays to get paid for more jobs. This is not a real company but an office that delegates work to other smaller crews to extract as much funds from homeowners in the solar race.

DESERVE ZERO STARS!
We felt so great about getting solar and this company completely ruined it for us. We had several panels not working and they took months to send someone out to fix them. We were told it was all set and then we learned the panels still were not working. We spoke to two different supervisors and they just told us what we wanted to hear and to absolutely NO action. It has been almost a year now and the supervisors will not respond back to us. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED WITH THIS COMPANY.
Scot Belford Sr | Chepachet, RI | 08/12/2025
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!
Took them 6 months to send someone out to repair 6 panels that were not working. I was told they were all working then when ai checked the app it showed that the 6 panels were STILL not working. Called and spoke to 2 different supervisors, Matt Gubler and Chad Melina. Both told me exactly what I wanted to hear. Both said the company would reimburse me for my payments for the months that the panels did not work. Both said they would get the 6 panels fixed. I NEVER received any reimbursement payments nor did anyone come out to repair the 6 panels. When I reached back out to Supervisor Matt, he said Upper Management is not willing to address this issue and that he has done all he can. Now almost a year later, nothing has been done. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

Homeowners Beware: Poorly Run Solar Compan
We began our solar project with Bright Planet Solar in February 2024, expecting a smooth process. Instead, it took nearly a year to complete. Plagued by constant delays and miscommunication. After installation in June, we were told inspections would follow quickly, but weeks passed without updates. We had to chase down responses constantly, often being ignored for long stretches. In August, their technicians caused a power outage affecting our pool systems, then told us to hire our own electrician to fix it - despite it being their error and admitting they they did not know how to fix it themselves after two seperate visits. Multiple site visits were required because Bright Planet failed to correctly configure the backup system, even assigning unnecessary loads like pool lights instead of essentials like our refrigerator and a/c. Meanwhile, holes were left in our roof after the panel install and the crew's trash on our roof — unaddressed for months. We sent dozens of emails - many of them cc’d with project managers and company leadership — asking for scheduling updates, status checks, and answers. Often, we were met with no response, or vague promises that “someone would reach out.” Even after city inspection passed in October, we were stuck in limbo with no updates on when the system would actually be operational. The experience was defined by poor communication, careless mistakes, and a complete lack of ownership or urgency. We had to escalate internally just to get answers. What should have been an exciting investment turned into a nearly year-long headache. We’re sharing this to warn other homeowners: Bright Planet Solar is not equipped to manage your solar project responsibly or professionally. They will take little to no responsibility to your frustrations. The entire process lacked coordination, transparency, and accountability. Bright Planet Solar is not equipped to manage your solar project with care, professionalism, or basic follow-through.

UNDER PREFORMS EVERY MONTH
I CURENTLY HAD 18 PANELS AND THEY JUST ADDED 5 SO NOW I HAVE 23. I HAVE ANOTHER SYSTEM WITH 13 PANELS AND IT STILL OUTPRODUCES BPS BY 2 KWH PER DAY I CAN ONLY CONCLUDE THAT BPS HAS A BELOW STANDARD PANEL SYSTEM I EVEN OFFERED TO PURCHASE MORE PANELS BUT THAY REFUSED TO SELL ME ANY. IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A SOLAR CO STAY AWAY FROM THEM THAY ARE A TERRIBLE CO.

Worst service ever!!
I don’t recommend this company so ever. My solar panels have been installed since October. It’s already June and my system it’s still not running. Eversource has not installed the production meter due to missing documentation from the solar company. When I called the solar company they keep giving me the same excuse that they can’t get hold of the inspector. I have been going back and forward with them and still not have my system activated yet. It’s our first time with solar and already having a bad experience. I bet that once our system get running they are not even going to give us a discount on our monthly payment for all this months we can be generating credit for the winter.

Worst decision i ever had made!
On February i had made the decision to go solar panel, they recommended me a seller associate her name is Tiffany Santiago she had made so many promises i will save money on my electricity, even told me i was going to be stuck forever with her if i needed anything she will be here I will have her support!! Absolutely everything is a lie ,first i was a little worried because my roof is old Tiffany told me when they come and do the inspection they would let me know if it pass, they came on a day my roof was full of snow and they said it pass and i reached her and ask how was possible it pass if has snow and they couldn’t see nothing with the snow, they came the second time and yes everything is good, still with doubt on my head about the roof,on the inspection they need to make sure when the place the solar battery was not going to be any interference for my solar can charge never did they place them where my next door neighbor have his tree of course they don’t charge appropriately because of the tree and i been paying the solar and on top of that my electricity as well I been struggling with them because they were supposed to remove does tree before they placed the solar and until this day am going back and forth with them and sending them proof and l permission from my next door neighbor ,they said they were going to help now i need to wait until may for them to check the production for the whole year let see what happens, they place the solar after that i had leaks on my atic call them they came they supposedly addressed the problem, waited it took for ever for them to get everything straight for them to turn on ,still have more leak and worst on my atic they came to fix and the guy who came did a big hole on my attic i call and still waiting for the to see what is going to happen!am very disappointed and upset because is nothing what i had expected!!and been trying to get in touch with the seller rep and haven’t heard from her at all !!

None of what has been agreed upon has taken place
WE had Solar Panels installed in July. We were told that our panels would be activated in 6-8 weeks. It has been 3 months and the panels are still not operating. I have called twice a week since mid October and have been told multiple times that the hold up was the City submitting permits or our previous energy provider dragging their feet submitting paperwork to the city. In both cases I was told repeatedly that the issue would be sent up to higher management or the appropriate Bright Planet Solar department to be taken care of. I have spoken with our previous energy provider (several times) as well as the city. Both of those agencies insisted that the proper permits have been signed off, closed and submitted. Yet BPS insists that neither of those things have happened. The customer service people have been courteous and professional but the company itself has yet to follow through with any of what has been promised. The timing of when we had our panels installed was not accidental and factored into our budget planning. We are extremely disappointed with BPS and by extension Sun Run.

Worst Experience - 6 month nightmare and still no solar system
I met with two sales Reps that were very anxious to put together a solar plan. I received a quote and signed a contract with a $500 deposit for a place holder to put me in their schedule for installation. When that date came and passed, nothing happened. Finally, a conversation with the sales rep only to tell me, "I had called and cancelled the order." I NEVER did that. This is a very suspicious! With a conference call to SunRun, the Order was reinstated and I was told I would be getting a new schedule. Waited and waited for a contact. I called the sales rep numerous times with voice mail full and not accepting messages. I text daily asking for a schedule, no replies. Finally two months later he called and asked for a new SCE Billing. I provided it and still no installation schedule. I called SunRun directly only to find out that they had tabled my order because of no activity and that the contract was never activated. Again, very suspicious activity and still unresolved. NEVER use thisi company......

My worst nightmare
These folk scammed me from the very first time I should have turn them down the first time but didn't follow my gut feeling first they promised to cut the tree around my house and that was the selling point Because I was in the process of doing it myself..but I had 2 big trees that I thought would be expensive to cut down and they promised to do it as part of the offer they start installing the panels before cutting the trees then the agent told me it was a miss communication next the told me the fed would and the state would subsidies and all I would pay is $10,000 out of pocket..end up they link me with a loan for $44,000 and say the panel would pay for itself but to date the total amount of power I get paid for is $12,000 my electric bill remains. The same because I supply power to the Grid andthey pay me for the power I send to them the money I received then go back to pay the loan And as I get paid every quarter I most often have to pay out of pocket as the payment I received is not enough to cover the monthly loan payments and I am getting no benefit from the solar panel Bright Planet is the only one who benefit because they get paid by the bank in full , I understand the bank no longer work with them. Also they damaged my roof and told me I have to get a new roof. So I am taking them to court and contacting the AG about them about deceptive business practicess and the damaged to my roof

Run away - we regret everything about working with Bright Planet
We signed our contract in October 2022 and the panels were installed in November 2022; it's now mid-July 2023 and they are still not functional. BPS dropped the ball many times, lost our project, and now are turning around to say "more than nine months is standard." Their customer service is terrible, their CEO is condescending and patronizing, they renege on their word, and their only response is "too bad for you, you can't get out of this contract, no matter how little work we do." They're unprofessional, they're liars, and they'll sign you up and then do nothing unless you beg and plead, and even then they won't do anything. We completely regret having signed with BPS and hope that you'll stay away from them.
Alex M | Holliston, MA | 06/26/2023
Horrendous and likely fraud
The company, after a few missteps, installed the panels. From Day 1 the results were terrible. They were producing 50% consistently each day. The graphs for both production and consumption looked identical regardless of weather, activity, whether I was home or not. The graphs also showed that generally from around 9pm and 5am I was using no electricity. Now stop and ponder that. None of that makes any sense. I asked BPS to look into it and they told me (twice) that everything was working fine and that I could purchase additional panels. Their own people looked at the data that was clearly inaccurate and rather take any step to address it, instead lied and attempted to bleed more money from me. You can actually google the exact scenario I am describing and find that it means they installed a piece backwards. But BPS has so far refused to admit they improperly installed the system.

Wish I cab give you 0 stars
Panels were installed July 9th 2022 and today April 24 2023 they are still not working. He had to call every week and they disconnected all the calls. We called the utility company and they are telling us everything is ready and done on their end. I can't even imagine paying 50k to this company and after almost a year we don’t have anything done and we had to pay every month. In my entire life I never had any experience like this. After I submitted my first complaint a few weeks ago I had a call from someone in the company.... After a few weeks nothing was done and we are still in the same place as we did almost a year ago.

Stay away from bright planet solar
I signed my contract with bright planet solar To go solar on august 8th 2022 and my sales rep promised me that they will have my system running in less than 90 days . a month later they came on September 9th to do the installation which it only took a day. Since then i never heard anything from them until November 15th that i got an email from goodleap that my first 1st loan payment will be due on November 19th. Thats when I go worried and decided to call them to see why im starting making payments without having the the system turned back on. When I reached out to them and told them about my situation, and when is my system will be turned back on. All they kept telling is that they are waiting to get the work order number from national Grid first then after that to schedule the city inspection . I waited another month and called them more then 20x times Until today im still waiting. The customer services is BAD They really hang up on your face . today is February 8th 2023 im on to my 4th loan payment and nothing has been done regarding my situation. Please do research about this company before you go Solar with them.

NEED YOUR NAMES TO START A CLASS LAW SUIT.
Hello BPS Clients. Right now I am confronting a lot of problems with Bright Planet Solar. Since January 2022 they came and installed their solar panels, many inspections, people coming in and go but NOT a single call from BPS customer service or e-mail to let us know what's going on or scheduled appointments, today 07/20/2022 last inspection and didn't pass, like always I didn't know about this inspection appointment. Lender is requesting payment for the loan for something that to the eyes of the City or Edison is not completed and corrections need to be done, by that work is illegal. I need from all of you who are dissatisfied with their service, your name, address, and phone number for the Class Law Suit Attorney. My E-mail: [REDACTED} Thank you.

Better hope nothing happens after they are installed!!
Installation and set up went great, maybe a few hiccups, but nothing crazy.......that was until there was actually something wrong with the system. All of a sudden our system wasn't sowing up on the app and stopped producing energy. Called for help got pushed to another company they work with, called that company and told to call Bright Planet back. Called Bright Planet back, then was told we had to call a third company. Oh, and yes, told to go back to calling Bright Planet, called them back, they walk us through resetting the entire system. We follow the directions to a T with them on the phone. Three weeks later still not fixed, finally got a tech to come out, and he, which by the way was the first intelligent person we dealt with, tells us the told how to reset the system incorrectly and it has been turned off for the entire 3 weeks..... it's spring/summer people, that when you make the most money. Tech gives us direction to ask for certain form from them then he will comeback to upgrade our system as he does it every day, call them and they refuse to give us the form saying its not them that fixes it..... huh! My advice do NOT use this company as they do not know what they are ding and just pass you on to the next company so they do not have to spend money fixing the problems. You are completely on your own and they have all your money! Do NOT give them your money like we did!

They kept missing the inspectors and now they owe a fee. Today 6/3/22 there is still no answer and no follow-up. Have not paid the fee as of yet. I would give them a zero star if it was available.

Horrible customer care! DONT GET SOLAR FROM THEM
I've got solar installation from https://www.brightplanetsolar.com/. They've charged us the full amount and installed solar. However, they are not reliable about the inspection at all: 1. They scheduled the 1st inspection and cancelled it without informing 2. Another inspection was scheduled by them without any notice! The inspection guy called me when he reached home (and I was not home)! This time the inspection failed 3. The inspection was rescheduled for the third time and this time the company forgot to print the plate (describing connection details). So the inspection was cancelled I've been paying the bills all this time, along with the solar price.

Avoid this company like the plague.
Completely different panel layout on our roof, which is far less efficient. The panels and inverter installed were also not the ones specified on install agreement. We were promised that our electric bill would be $7 each month and our solar loan payment would be $163.80 each month. Electric bills are far greater than $7. We are paying our electric bill which is upwards of $250 during the winter AND the solar loan which will soon go up to $223 each month (for 25 years).

They deceived costumer with lies.
I just got my solar panels installed from Bright Solar Planet, a couple of months ago. Last week we had a lot of rain, while l was checking the attic I noticed a small leak near to where the solar panels were mounted. Bright Planet Solar originally cleared the installation after the final inspection, since they saw the roof and shingles were fit for the new installation but it seems like during the installation there was a crack in the sheathing with either people walking on the roof or some hole close to the pipe that was drilled for the mounting pucks. I called Bright Planet Solar costumer service to schedule an appointment to fix the leak and the air conditioning united that stop working because of the water it got. Bright Planet Solar Never solve the problem, neither paid for the damage in the roof and on the air conditioning. Be aware of this company they are dishonest and un-responsables.

When are we going to be able to use our solar?
We signed our contract on April 16th, 2021. It is now September 6th. Every time we call for a status update they tell us they cannot do anything for 2-4 weeks. We have paid 2 months of bills to our utility (SDG&E) along with the first 2 payments for these solar panels that aren't connected. That's a total of $1200! I thought solar was supposed to save me money not cost us more?

Unclear process, taking longer than expected.
I want to share with you my experience to prevent others been the victim of this company. Four months ago, a representative of this company came to our house after reviewing our bill utility; They consider we may qualify for solar panels. They sent a drome to analyze our home and the possibility of going solar. We sign a contract with this company three months ago and a loan of $ 50K with the lender company they provide. A team came to do the installation, and they stop due to the weather conditions. They came to finalize the process two weeks later, after four phone calls asking to speed the process. after three months, the loan company sends the bill to pay. We are still in the process, still waiting for the last review, and put the system on to finally start saving money (at this point, I don't know if this will happen and when). This month I begin my loan payment, and my PSEG bill still ongoing as well; I don't know how long this will be, but I want to warn everyone who is trying to go solar never to use Right Panel Solar; they use the lender contract as an excuse of their horrible service. I will have to pay more than $550 for June and July, and I'm still waiting for the final step in the process that I don't know how long it will take. Bright Planet Solar the worst company ever; scam, please don't use this company be safe.

CUSTOMER SERVICE- PAYING FOR A SERVICE THAT IS NOT FUNCTIONING
Front end of sales was absolutely wonderful. Everything we were told by our sales rep was done on a timely manner. We have a huge system on our home, so we figured it make take a little longer. After getting the survey done, the install was scheduled and work was to start in November. The first day, the crew came out and worked on setting up the electric. We have an old Victorian house. No panels were put on. Two days after, another crew showed to put only 7 panels on out of the 32 we had. The rest of the panels were laid against the back of my home. After 4 days. We called to see when they were coming back out, to be told, nothing was scheduled. We waited almost a week for yet another crew to come out, to do the inside electric work as well as a couple of panels. After 4 different crews, several weeks the panels were installed. Fast forward to middle of December when the electrical inspection was scheduled. We failed for several things within the electrical system BPS put in place. The inspector would need to come back out after another set of electricians came out to fix what was needed. The inspection was the scheduled for January, where our town never showed up. When calling my Borough I was told that nothing was scheduled. Now after 3 balls dropped by BPS, we passed inspection. All the while in Janaury our loan payments were scheduled to be paid. BPS, refunded us the two months, however refuse to refund March payment. We are still looking for another month or so to actually be turned on. If you go with this company, be prepared for the backend of your install ot absolutely suck! Little to no communication and they allow their customers to be left out to dry. I was told today when asking for the third refund, that we are paying a loan toward our system, but in the end, we are paying for services that are incomplete and have been for 5 months!! Update: 3/24, 5 months and changes, PSEG showed to switch the meter. ACCOUNT MANAGAMENT, still will not refund my payment for March, even though it's NOT been turned on. Be aware that if you pay for a service, you won't get it turned on.

Find Another Solar Company
Bright Planet is awful! Panels were installed quickly, but they dragged their feet on getting the inspections done so the panels weren't turned on for almost 4 months, although I was still paying the loan. The inspection failed the first time because their person did not bring the proper paperwork to the inspector. The did not connect me to auto reporting for SRECT for months and since they have, nothing has been reported to the SRECT company. They keep pointing fingers at each other - their customer service people are clueless. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with them but be warned: solar energy is awesome but you need to find a solar company with a good reputation. Bright Planet is not that company. look elsewhere.

Absolutely horrible
After our contract was signed, they magically produced 2 other contracts of lesser production stats. They left a mess when installed and the rep didn’t show up for install so the conduit and boxes were placed in the wrong area and the critter guards were never put on. We didn’t even know the guards weren’t put on until almost 5 months later when their service tech came out because our system is under producing. He was the one who told us they were never put in. And our system is under producing by almost 50%! Their fix, to have us purchase more panels, at our expense of course, and take down our 350 year old oak tree, once again at our expense. Even though we only signed a contract for 96% offset- meaning our panels should be producing 96% of our energy!!! Not 40%! And talk to someone??? They give you the run around. No one does anything and everyone will call you back! Of course no one does. They don’t respond to BBB and NJ Clean energy has to harass them to get them to answer! Horrible!!!

Solar System Still Not Turned on
I am quite disappointed and frustrated with Bright Planet at this point. My solar system was installed on my house back in mid September of this year. The system was inspected in middle of October. The inspection failed on one discrepancy which was paperwork that needed to be sent to the township from Bright Planet. After a few calls and emails by the end of October the system installation was approved and passed by the township. This is where the frustration sets in. Since November 7th I have been calling Bright Planet Customer service to see when my system will be turned on. I kept getting different answers from customer service saying BP is awaiting final approval PTO from the power company. Waiting patiently and trying to be understanding I gave it some time. On November 24 I reached out to the power company and was informed that they are awaiting on documentation from Bright Planet for the PTO. I then called Bright planet and then they said things were delayed and that they were waiting on the certificate of approval from the township for the inspection. I called the township and they said they faxed over a copy of the certificate of approval to Bright Planet on November 2. OK so then I asked them to send me a copy and I forwarded it to the power company and they confirmed they just received it. They also informed me that they are still awaiting for two other documents from Bright Planet and then they will be able to approve the PTO. The power company then emailed Bright Planet along with myself to ask for the documentation. I also then called Bright Planet back Again and informed them of this an they said they will email the documentation now. This all occurred on November 24. Yesterday December 1 I called the power company again to follow up. They informed me that they still did not receive the required documentation. They along with me sent another email to Bight Planet requesting the documentation. I also called Bright Planet again and they assured me that this will be taken care of today. Again no responses from the emails sent to Bright Planet. This morning December 2 I called the power company again as a follow up and to no surprise Bright Planet still has not sent over the required documentation. Another email has been sent again with no response. This is quite ridiculous on how Bright Planet treats their customers. Currently I have a solar system installed that I am making payments on that is still not turned on all because Bright Planet cannot get their act together to get the required paperwork to the power company. I will update this review pending on outcome of Bright Planets response to my ongoing issue. At this time I do not recommend this company.

Very disappointed!
Our system has been offline for almost 2 weeks now. When we first contacted them, they said they were aware of it but had too many customers to take care of and that they would open a ticket for us. We have contacted them several times, and finally got a response that someone would call us in the next 24 hours. That didn’t happen. We contacted them again and were told someone would call us the next day. Nope! So now it’s 2 weeks, no solar! The worst service we’ve ever experienced from any company. They probably don’t even look at their reviews.

DO NOT USE BRIGHT PLANET SOLAR!!
DO NOT HIRE BRIGHT PLANET!!! They basically stole $1500 from me and won't return my emails or calls. On the day of the concrete pour for the footings for my solar array, the cement truck driver they hired was completely incompetent and after doing a horrible 20-point turn (which my 16 yr old daughter could have done with ease), ended up driving over and crushing a new decorative concrete walkway we had installed less than 3 months earlier. Now I understand that things happen. The team leader acknowledged what had happened, and that they would make it right. Fine. So we got the sidewalk repaired (at my cost) and then I submitted the invoice to Bright Planet for reimbursement. Several promises later and now at least 3 phone calls and messages left, and I have been completely ignored. This has gone on for six months now. I've had it. Until I get reimbursed they will keep getting phone calls and my One-Star Review stands. Why can't companies understand that the benefits of GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE will outweigh ANY money they could save by being crooked. I've already had several people ask me who did my solar. My response has been to hire ANYONE but Bright Planet Solar. And having an extra $1500 in my pocket right now would honestly make a big difference for me, as I was essentially unemployed during the Pandemic.

Lying salespeople
Contracted with Sun Run. They sub contractor to Bright Planet Solar. I've been lied to by my project coordinator and when called on those lies, Carlos refuses to return my calls. Tried some loser in their Utah office named Kyle. Nothing but a typical run around. Makes up one lie and a week later makes up another. Refuses to connect me with a supervisor. This is still ongoing but has been the worse experience with a contractor ever. They frankly suck at their job

Turn and Run, Don't Walk, Run away from Bright Planet Solar
Where to start. First, Bright Planet Solar does business with independent sales organizations that run around and make promises that neither they, nor Bright Planet Solar intend to keep. Once you've paid and need Bright Planet Solar to deliver on promises made to you they say, "Oh, that's not how it works. I'm sorry you were told that. Unfortunately, those promises were made by another company and we don't stand by them." This allows Bright Planet Solar to benefit from shady sales practices while trying to avoid being bound by the actions of their partner. Specifically, in my case, the salesman tells me that Bright Planet Solar monitors your system 24/7 and that if the system fails to function or fails to function to the level promised they, Bright Planet Solar, will proactively come to the rescue. The system I purchased (28 panels) was producing zero power within just a few months after installation. I stumbled across this fact, not Bright Planet Solar. When I called to ask why they informed me they make no effort to check on my system and rely on me to inform them when it isn't working. Okay, let's pick up the story there. I call and they "investigate remotely"...sure enough the system is in total failure and producing zero electricity. They tell me the inverter has failed. I say, okay when can you replace the inverter? They acknowledge having inverters on hand, but refuse to make the repair until paperwork passes between them and the manufacturer of the inverter. I call, day after day, asking when they will come make the repair and get the system running. They refuse to commit saying we don't care about your outage, we only care about our paperwork, and until the paperwork is processed you can look forward to having a system in total failure. Here is the rub, once you write your check for the system, Bright Planet Solar has made all the money they are going to make from you. Having to live up to their contractual promises, warranties, etc. now makes you, the customer a liability (somebody they owe an obligation to, but from who they can't make any money), and that puts you in last position when it comes to customer service. As a customer, your recourse is to sue, or write reviews to warn other potential customers so they can avoid doing business with this organization. I expect I'll end up doing both and wouldn't be surprised to find many others do as well. In the meantime, I'm $28,000 poorer and have 28 solar panels on my roof providing zero electricity, and I'm back to buying electricity from the power company to boot.

Customer
I just had an install and the sales guy explained process in detail. Great customer service. They were professional and involved with permits and inspections. Someone kept me informed of next steps. I would recommend them or use them again in the future.

Fraud
Bright Solar Panel (working with consulting firm, which sold me: solarconsultinginc.com) promised me that I will receive certain level of energy. Instead, I'm receiving way LESS than the promised (official written promise). I have contacted them multiple times and they are promising to do something but doing NOTHING. At this stage, I believe I am being *duped* and put it simply, this is the case of fraud. I need to figure out my options (advise would be appreciated). My two cents: stay AWAY from both of them (Bright Solar Panel and solarconsultinginc.com)

absolutely miserable experience
DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS!!!! Oh the salesman does a great job at selling you but after that it is a literal fight with them to get anything finished. The blame goes to the power company, they don't answer phone calls, no one is in the office, should be a simple program but with these guys watch out!!!!!

A+ Workmanship. Professional & Tidy!
Bright Planet Solar did an amazing job on my solar installation here in Rhode Island. I signed up for my solar system through Frugll (frugll.com) at the end of June, 2017 and by the middle of July my system was already installed and then shortly after was approved by National Grid to turn on. Starting with the guy that came to measure my roof and check my electrical system, to the coordinating of my installation and the professionalism and cleanliness of the crews I have to take my hat off for this top notch company! I can confidently recommend Bright Planet Solar to install panels for any of my friends, family or community!
