OC Solar in Irvine, California - The BEST customer service in the industry with the BEST price!!! The level of customer service, quick responses, and attention to the details really made this entire process smooth and stress-free for me and my wife! I was considering going solar since late last year in 2024 and finally took the courage to starting calling for quotes and information earlier this year in January 2025. I contacted five (5) solar companies in total comparing prices, customer services, response time, etc. and in mid-February 2025, I finally settled with the best which is OC Solar and have no regrets at all!! Since my first initial contact with OC Solar’s Sales Consultant, Mr. Sean Shively, to the final phase (completion), this process has been an extremely smooth and positive experience. From the point of me signing the contract agreement and making the initial deposit to the final payment (on June 4, 2025), the OC Solar team have been over-the-top wonderful and helpful! Sean has been and still continues to be extremely informative, patience, supportive, and professional! On many occasions, I have asked Sean silly questions and/or concerns relating to my solar system (26 panels with 10.92KW) and Tesla Powerwall-3 (2x) batteries where he would answer all my questions and concerns and encourage me to continue to ask more questions…showing his professionalism! Overall, the best things about Sean is his honesty and response time to my hundreds of questions, usually within minutes of me emailing him the questions, updates, and concerns…even on weeknights and weekends, AMAZING! With the constant communications and follow-ups, this put me as ease as I know I have someone on my side and corner as friend instead of a Sale Consultant just trying to close a transaction. I was so happy with Sean and the OC Solar team that I quickly referred my best friend who was also getting a solar system (same time with me) with another company to contact Sean for a quote. After my best friend spoke with Sean and got a quote, he quickly switched over to Sean and OC Solar and did not regret it at all. His system (25 panels) with one (1) Powerwall-3 was installed, completed, and made the final payment as of June 3, 2025. The best part was OC Solar also assigned a personal consultant, Ms. Gaby Ostos, who was and is still on standby to further assist me with other matters and questions. Gaby would conduct weekly follow-ups and check-ins to see if everything was going smoothly and if I have any questions. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the solar system and customer service that I got from Sean Shively, Gabby Ostos, and the OC Solar team. I know I got the best deal and product possible in this current market after contacting four (4) other companies and selecting OC Solar at the end…thank goodness! OC Solar just completed installing an entirely new solar system for us, replacing our old, likely one of the first residential systems ever installed. We couldn't be happier with the whole process! After reaching out to many companies about our old broken system, OC Solar was the only one that truly stood out. While others charged fees just to tell us they couldn't help, OC Solar not only attempted to fix it but also took the time to explain how the old system worked (or didn't work) and what the issues were. I simply can't recommend them enough! The communication throughout this complicated process was fantastic. Every team member involved, from design and financing to permitting, removing the old system, installation, and explaining how the app works, was incredibly helpful and kind. Special thanks to Alfredo, our foreman; Christian, the inspection tech; Courtney, the project manager; Melissa (Mel), the construction manager; and Savannah, who helped us pass the inspection. Everyone was great to work with, including all the other techs. They even held a live Zoom meeting to walk us through the awesome app. Unlike experiences I've heard from people who used other solar companies, I'm thrilled that I found OC Solar. I can't recommend them enough!

I’ve been considering adding solar to our home for a couple of years. Having heard positive reports on Orange County Solar, I contacted Walter Armendariz in Sales. Walter explained available options and walked me through the contracting process. The contract was finalized after an onsite inspection verified solar panel and inverter placement. Austin Fietsam, OC Solar Customer Service, coordinated with design team activities, and Courtney Ford, OC Solar Senior Project Manager, oversaw pre-installation activities, including coordination with the City of Torrance. Installation was performed by OC Solar’s installer, Panasonic Solar; they arranged final signoff by the City of Torrance, and coordinated with Southern California Edison to secure permission to operate. From concept to permission to operate took only six weeks which, I am told, is well below the norm. All activities were conducted in exemplary fashion, and we are now relying mostly on self-generated electricity. Thank you, OC Solar!

I decided to upgrade my existing solar system adding more solar panels and a solar battery. Initially, the company was very responsive seemed very professional. That changed towards the end of the completion of the installation. I asked multiple times which breakers were installed on my critical loads panel and still to this day, no one can give me a strait answer. Every time I would ask a question (any question), no one would seem to have an answer and would have to defer to someone else. Luckily, I was able to find someone outside the company to answer my questions and setup the battery how I wished it to be setup. As of now, I have questions about the SGIP rebate which was one of the initial selling point. Even on my original paperwork, they made it seem as if it would be an easy process to obtain. Over one year, SCE has not accepted by application. I have no idea what the status, time frames, or who is the contact to answer any of my questions. Any questions I have, they just cut and paste the SCE website, as if they're telling me it's my problem now. Still to this day, I have not received the rebate or any updates on the process. It is understandable that SCE controls the rebate and is out of their hands but having more answers than a simple cut and paste job off a website would be appreciated. It is very frustrating to get the run around to your questions after paying a large sum of money. Unfortunately, I would not recommend Orange County Solar to anyone. I regret every working with this company. Please find another company that value their customers and not treat them like a nuisance. I will consider my SGIP rebate lost.

Talked a good game and everything started fine - but took them several attempts to get city permit signoff, as they kept missing things and not doing install properly. Then they messed up wiring to my house thermostat (the did it originally at start of install and now again after they "finished" install) and now won't address - one week after install and the second time they did this during the process. Also note you can't get through to customer service and get anyone live-hard even to find an email address for them. Doesn't matter though, as they don't respond to voicemails or emails at all it appears. Been over a week with both a VM and emails and NO ONE EVER has contacted me back. Very concerned about what will/won't happen when warranty issues come up. Don't believe any positive reviews or their slick website. Avoid OC solar.

I have reviewed many companies before going with OC solar. The process went smoothly and I was kept informed all along the way. Now I enjoy $11 electric bills which are taxes that I still have to pay and I’m looking forward to my several hundred dollar credit at the end of the year from a SCE.

We used EnergySage to find them, but the reality is that we watched them do an installation down the street on our neighbor's house, and it looked really good. They were quick and clean, so we felt confident going with them. Things took a little longer than expected-- they were very busy-- so we missed the 2020 tax credits, but the system was installed and activated in a reasonable amount of time, and it's now earning us credits on our electric bill. Overall, I'm currently very pleased with Orange County Solar.

Orange County Solar is great, reliable and extremely professional. Ashton was very helpful in answering all the questions we had pre and post installation. Their installation crew was great and they completed all the work in a timely manner.

Found OC Solar on Yelp and worked with Ashton. Seems like a company local to Huntington Beach. Ashton was very helpful and responsive during the whole process. They were also very patient working on an issue brought up by our roofer (we were getting a new roof at the sam time). We only had 12 panels and they showed up for full days until everything was done. Even though getting permit and final sign-off took a lot of waiting on the city, we were kept up to date on the status of each step. Wonderful company to work with, they even offered to help a friend of ours who was having trouble with a different solar company. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone else.

OC Solar installed my solar panel system and I couldn't be happier with the way they do business. I selected them among the many solar installers in Orange County because of the very timely and competent response to Internet inquiries and competitive quote. Instead of scheduling a marketing interview like other companies, they supplied all of the information I needed and completed the contract over the internet. I got just the details about the equipment and installation with no 'sales pitch'. This saved me time and I'm sure saved OC Solar the cost of sales people. Installation time estimates were a little optimistic but the end product is aesthetic and so far reliable. The installation crew was consistently friendly and hard working. The installation is just what was promised aside from a few delays due to nation-wide shortage of some components.

I interviewed over 12 different solar companies - Vincent stood out from the rest because he didn't try to sell me on how crappy other companies are but instead he made me felt very comfortable on what his team can do for my solar needs. Other companies spent 80% of the time bickering about their competitors, which is a total turn off! They were quiet, respectful, treated my roof/house like their own (they didn't bang their ladder against my wall/roof for their installation). The connection from one side of the roof to the other is extremely neat. Aside from stress-free solar installation - I want to thank OC Solar for staying competitive on prices, which was an important factor for me to decide.

Vince and his crew were excellent from start to finish on our 5.5Kw solar installation in San Clemente, CA. Looks like we are never going to pay a utility bill again, and since installation we bought an electric car to boot! I picked OC Solar because of Vincent's (Vinnie when you become friends) great responsiveness and competitive pricing through the quote process. For quotes we chose a large national firm, a small local firm, and consider OC Solar as an Orange County regional size. Hands down Vince responded to us more quickly, acted more professionally, and quoted competitively to earn our business. OC Solar also completed installation in less than 3 weeks; we have a complete Net Metering system installed with SDGE. We were very concerned about financing, and he connected us with San Diego Metropolitan Credit Union which offers a 12 year loan package secured by the solar installation. Vince's electrician also came back a week after completion to install a 220 dryer plug for a new electric car charger. Now we are happily monitoring our solar production on the SolarEdge microinverter and inverter technology, and we are very happy. I am a spreadsheet kind of decision maker so when I decided to take the plunge into solar, I interviewed all the providers in my area (Orange County) to compare product capabilities, price, reputation and ratings (like the one I’m writing right now). I thought my findings might be helpful to you. After speaking with Vince Curcie from Orange County Solar, analyzing his proposal and taking careful notes, I could see that I should give his quote extra consideration. It really stood out on my spreadsheet. The O.C. Solar program seemed to look better in all the important areas – even pricing which too frequently is not the case. As I got closer to my decision and talking to Vince a time or two more, I became convinced this was the best product, it was a firm I was totally comfortable working with and (thankfully) the best price. I engaged them to install my solar system, a new electrical panel for my house, a charging station for my electric car and a monitoring system to keep track of my electricity production. I am so glad I did. Working with Vince and his crew was a great experience. They did everything they said they would and explained the process to me as it unfolded (design, permits, inspections, installers, electrician, etc.). They came through with high marks in every step of the process. My system is now up and running, putting out great power and Vince has even come back out to help get me up to speed with using my power output monitoring system. I could tell early on that Orange County Solar would be a good firm to work with and I was right – start to finish and even after the finish. I guess you could say I am a very satisfied customer.

I was looking to get solar panels installed and operating by the end of 2017 to get my 2017 federal tax credit. I interviewed several vendors the first and second week of November and all of them except for Orange County Solar could not guarantee that it could be done by 12/31/2017. Orange County Solar had the best pricing of the vendors I interviewed and Vincent, the owner, promptly returned my emails about cost, material and plans even over the weekend! I did not get my HOA approval back until 12/08/2017 and today 12/20/2017 I have a completely installed and inspected systems running! The Orange County Solar crew did a fantastic job and their attention to detail was superb. I could not be happier. But they did such a great job I had to give credit where credit is due. If I could I would give them 6 star since they delivered what said and when the said it would be done and did a fantastic job. Vincent is very personable and knowledgeable about the solar industry and kudos to him on his work effort and attention to detail. If you are thinking about getting Solar in Orange County you should put him on your list of prospective vendors you interview.

Vince and his team are the best to do business with. Shopping for a good, quality solar system can be frustrating. The marketplace is flooded with so many vendors, and to find someone who you can trust, can be very challenging. When I was shopping for solar vendors, he was the first and the only one to call me, while the rest sent emails to earn my business. He was the lowest in price for top of the line LG 335 panels with Enphase microinverters. Working with Vince and his dedicated team was a great positive experience. Each member of his team, from Oscar the roofer, Steve and Hector - the electrical team, and all of his office staff are the true professionals you can deal with. The crew never compromised on the quality of work and only used the best materials to complete the job. They were very courteous and cared so much when working on our precious home. Oscar even fixed a broken tile that was damaged by the cable guys. Every step of the process was well planned and executed. Vince was very proactive and effectively communicated all the schedules on a timely basis. I never had to chase him down for any information. He got the necessary permits from the city and even went to the extent of submitting our rebate forms to the utility company, a process that is the sole responsibility of the homeowner. What a guy! Installation was very quick and in less than 3 days from completing all the paperwork the system was installed. The conduits were all painted to match the stucco and the solar panels installed were flush and are working and looking damn good. On the day of inspection by the city and utility folks, Vince was personally at our home at 8 AM to do a final check and to ensure that all code compliance was met so we get the PTO (permit to operate) immediately. Such is the care and service that Vince delivers. By the time all the inspection was done it was around 2 PM. He even came back the next week to check on the monitoring system and to set it up so we can access all the information about the solar panels from our mobile devices. Vince and his team are the very best. I can honestly say that our family has earned a true friend in Vince. Call him and none other for your solar power needs. You will not be disappointed. I wanted to express what a great experience I had in contracting Orange County Solar, to install my solar panels. About mid-April I decided I wanted to go solar and also wanted to have them installed before July 1st. If I had a working system before that deadline date, I would still get in on the Net Metering 1 program, which would be more advantageous to me, the homeowner. I also decided I wanted to get a good solar loan to finance the project. I contacted 5 companies using Yelp as a guide. Vince Curcie from Orange County Solar seemed to have the best answers to all my questions and I felt that he was very honest and forthcoming about detailing the whole process ahead. We discussed the advantages that LG panels have along with Enphase micro-inverters. His price for the project was the best among the companies I contacted. Vince helped me get a great loan through the San Diego Metropolitan Credit Union. The loan is for 12 years, has no fees, 5.49% simple interest, no pre-payment penalty and can be amortized once during the term. The other solar companies didn't seem as interested in helping me in obtaining a loan. The permiting process was very speedy. The 16 panels were installed by a very nice and obviously experienced crew in just 2 hours. The City of Huntington Beach inspectors came out and after a few minor details were ironed out, the system was ready to go. The whole process from my picking OC Solar to completion only took about 3 weeks! This, despite the fact that Vince was extremely busy with many other projects, with all the customers trying to beat the same July 1st deadline. Vince also set up the Enlighten monitoring system, so I can keep track of the performance of each individual solar panel by using my smart phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer. I'm very happy so far with the performance of the panels and am looking forward to great savings in the future. I was very impressed by Orange County Solar throughout the project and their young owner, Vincent Curcie. I whole heartedly recommend his company to do your solar panel project!

Vince was just terrific. He completed the solar installation at my house very fast. He had one of the lowest prices for my solar project and I got the best value for my money from him. He finished my complete project in 10 days after I accepted the proposal.This includes the city permit, installation, city final inspection & net metering approval. The system is up and running now, performing very well. He explained the various steps of the process very well and was very prompt with follow ups.
