Seamless experience with local solar company Green Power Energy

Recently got Solar installation from Green Power Energy. The experience was pretty seamless. There was no initial down payment to have someone come out for just taking a look at the house/electrical panel unlike some other places. While other places had a fully refundable amount I didn't want to deal with trying to get my money back should I not want to continue. Updates during the pre-installation process was periodically sent to keep me apprised of progress during permitting. Once the initial permits were approved installation took about 2 weeks to schedule and finished in a day. The installers were friendly and explained in detail what they were going to do and the options of where the equipment could go. They cleaned up after themselves. No complaints so far and would definitely recommend Green Power Energy to anyone considering solar installation.

Efficient and Pleasant

The process was very straightforward. Installation day was completed by pleasant and efficient technicians.

I interviewed researched 5 different solar companies local to me. Green Power Energy was by far the most professional, and while not the cheapest to purchase a system from, the whole installation process was seamless. They do not use subcontractors which was big part of my decision making. They were on budget and under the time they told me it would take. Great people to hire.

Wonderful Group of People to Work With

Green Power Energy has given me great customer service from day one. Always considerate of my schedule. Never tried to push me into committing to a new system; instead allowed me to consider investing in a solar system for almost a month. They worked around my travel plans, but finished the work on the original timeline. In the end, I have a system that produces more energy than I use, even with Connecticut's cloudy weather! Their software allows me to monitor my system at home or away. Being a multi-state business with a local presence in Durham CT, I believe Green Power Energy will provide any support needed to operate and my system for years to come. A big Thank You to all the staff at Green Power Energy who helped make this possible.

The acquisition of a solar power system through Green Power Energy was seamless. The initial contact with Mr. Gill the sales representative was most informative. He provided information about the nature of solar power and its relation to Georgetown Texas Utilities. He explained the tax incentives at the end of the year when I file my income taxes. After reviewing my electric bill, a recommendation for a system was provided. I then reviewed the "reviews". I had contacted two other companies and received their presentations. One was three times the cost of the Green Power system. The other company had terrible reviews. So I went with Green Power The materials were delivered at the agreed upon time and date and an hour later the installation crew arrived. They were knowledgeable and skilled with the installation process. Four hours later they had completed the project. The installation had two parts. The electrical and the solar panels handled by different people. The electrical installer and solar panel installers were highly competent and good natured. They explained in a highly professional manner what they were doing. I was very impressed with how competently they presented themselves and carried out their work. An hour after they were finished Pierson McKee arrived to provide follow up information and to be the point of contact with GPE in the future. Again, very competent and professional. A follow up meeting will get schedule in several weeks to explain the monitoring of the system and its application programs. I could not be more pleased with any part of this process and now look forward to lower electrical costs. Michael in Austin

Communicated the process of going solar completely and did everything exactly like they stated. No surprises and the system is working just like they said it would. Very happy with the entire company from the salesman to the installers. Also had one of the better prices.

Excellent customer service!

Starting with the sales presentation, our interactions with GPE were relaxed and hype-free. No pressure sales tactics, just factual information about a product we were already interested in. While GPE's quote wasn't the lowest price we were quoted (we got quotes from multiple companies), they came in below the median price quote, and we chose GPE because we felt confident that their customer service would be better than other companies because they have dedicated teams of installers (actual employees, rather than contractors and sub-contractors) working in each of the states they operate in. This was well worth the only slightly higher cost over their cheapest competitor. When it was time for our installation, we got confirmation that we made the right choice by choosing GPE. Their excellent customer service resulted in an exceptionally smooth installation process! One thing that impressed us most was that a GPE electrician whose job is to make sure installations are ready for inspection came by a day before the scheduled town inspection and identified a few things he wanted to change to assure passing the inspection. Then he then showed up early on the day of the inspection to make those changes (including changing the ground wire on our electrical panel from aluminum to copper, so it was the same material as the ground wire for the solar system), and also had materials with him to make any other quick changes the inspector wanted while the inspector was still here. We were very happy to have the system pass inspection on the first try, without having to schedule a second inspection appointment. We definitely appreciated how thorough GPE's process was. GPE customer service also provided us with a post-installation consultation to make sure we understood how the system monitoring app works and answered questions we had about understanding how the credits showing up on our electric bill work. Overall, we are very happy we went with GPE for our solar system, and we highly recommend them as a reliable solar company with exceptional customer service!

Green Power Energy Excellent overall experience

We have had on overall excellent experience with Green Power Energy. During my evaluation of Solar installation options the Green Power Energy solution differentiated themselves is a few key areas. Each solar panel has its own inverter, this configuration eliminates a single point of failure and also eliminated the need to mount a large inverter in my garage which saved having to dedicate wall space. The panels themselves are of high quality and the solar metric application is very informative. The solar system installation team impressed me as being quite knowledgeable and their work was very well executed. I was also kept informed of the status through all the phases of the service deployment.

GREAT experience !

1st class company did a first class design coupled with a first class install. They even worked with me to fish the cabling through the walls to reduce the need for conduit piping on the exterior or our home. Thanks GPE

Darryl Made it a Pleasure

We had solar panels installed this year and from the moment the work began Darryl was there to deal immediately with any and all situations. From weather conditions to communicating with Eversource, Darryl always made himself available and followed up to make sure everything went to plan. Of course everyone we dealt with at Green Power was knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. We are so happy we went ahead with this.

Best Solar Company EVAR

I highly recommend Green Power for solar installation. My experience with them has been wonderful. It all started with the sales rep who was knowledgeable and patient to custom build my panel layout. Then came the onboarding process which was easy and no-hassle. The installation took a few hours and they did a fabulous job — even cleaned up after themselves. Great Install in Somerset County

Green Power installed my panels at the end of 2023 and so far the experience has been great. They were very easy to reach, worked with my schedule for every step, did a very clean install, and there was detailed communication from their team through every step. I highly recommend them for solar needs!

Used Green Power Energy for our new solar roof last year. I got bids from several companies when we were looking to add a solar roof but decided on GPE over the rest due to their knowledgeable and low pressure sales person. Their whole operations team did a great job of communicating the various steps in the process with us from design through installation and system activation. All in all GPE was easy to work with, they're local to the area and I would recommend them to anyone looking to add a solar roof in New Jersey.

Couldn't be happier

I spoke with a handful of solar companies. Most tried pushing their leasing program and putting as many panels as possible on my roof driving up the cost. GPE was straightforward and helped me through the process. They took care of everything and I have a system that is sized perfectly for our home. Great team, would highly recommend.

I recently contracted Green Power Energy to install solar panels on my home. Throughout each step in the process - Sales, Applications/Approvals & Installation - it was clear that Green Power Energy is the gold standard when it comes to solar providers. Superior Solar Company

An excellent company to hire. Great communication from start to finish. No question went unanswered there was always a quick response too. Sonny our Solar Energy Consultant was thorough and offered incentives. We financed our solar through Dividend and Tim from sales made sure the contract was sent over and we used Docusign which was super quick. Tom the solar liaison scheduled the delivery, the installation crew, electricians, Eversource as well as keeping in touch with us throughout the process. Our installation crew was AMAZING! We can't speak highly enough about this crew. They worked in downpour rain up on a roof! Staying until after dark with headlamps on their heads to finish up work. All of the service men were friendly and professional explaining what was done and what needed to be done the next day. Head installation serviceman, Rob was exemplary. Nick and Anthony were the electrical team. Both were friendly and professional explaining all the boxes and how our solar panels work. We want to do a shout out to all our crews, Rob, Tony, Chardson, Jaime, Jason, Jesus, Nick and Anthony. Thank you Green Power Energy for a excellent experience we are very pleased and even more pleased as we received our first $33.10 bill from Eversource down from $423.00!. Excellent, professional, and no unwelcome surprises

Great communication, no tricks, and as professional as it gets. All of my questions were answered promptly and the follow up call post project closure was excellent to inform me of everything else I need to know about the remaining open items. I rate their service as top notch and have no reservations in recommending them to anyone.

Excellent Service

I was finally in the market for solar, and after some downright insulting and atrocious meetings with some of the local providers I did some looking around and saw Green Power Energy. Very highly reviewed, on BBB, Google, etc. But then I sorted by bad reviews, and was very pleasantly surprised. No company is perfect, but if/when GPE dropped the ball you can see that they were johnny-on the-spot to reply right away and do what they could to make it it right. That matters to me. So I setup a meeting and had my first talk with Stephen. He was direct, forthright and answered all my questions, even ones that may have been critical. As a newcomer to this process, I appreciated that. Once I specified what I was looking for, at no time did he try to upsell me or send me in a different direction. My goal was to purchase the panels outright and needed some financing. At first I balked at the interest rate, but he explained to me the caveats of the low rate loans with dealer fees, upfront interest, etc. After our call I fact checked what he told me and it was spot on. I made the decision to purchase the system that day. From agreement to install/turnup was about two months! They were fast, and the job was done right. I had been obnoxious about making sure the consumption clamps were installed correctly, and they went above and beyond making sure my concerns were met. On the day of turn-up, Doug came out for the final inspection. What a nice guy, he went above and beyond for sure. I was mentioning how the WIFI was a bit too weak for a reliable connection to the Enphase box, and he offered to run a network cable out to the box without skipping a beat. That put me over the moon. Well done, Doug! Several months later, I had a follow up call with Aidan and we had a great session. He followed up on my REC submission, addressed some concerns I had and just made the final part of the process very pleasant. I would without hesitation recommended GPE to anyone in the Tri-State area looking to get solar.
