First i would like to be reimbursed for my large Edison bill & Solar bill since it took much longer than promised. It took over 6 Months to get our solar up and running was told 3 Months at the longest. Was not happy that it took so long to even get our panels on our house. ESP has too many Contractors doing each process to get the job done.

Response from Energy Service Partners (ESP)

Corrigan, we apologize for the timeline and but the delays with the project were due to the permit and inspection which were outside our control. We always strive for fast turnaround and holding to timelines that we expect to achieve regularly, but there are unique challenges with every project and we're sorry that yours fell outside our average.

DO NOT use ESP for solar panel installation

I started this process in July 2022. The only reason I have panels on my roof and an upgraded MPU is because I was in constant communication with them. Upon installation, they forgot to install a wire to provide power to the outlets in my garage. I noticed the impact immediately and was told that the warranty department would handle the fix. 3 weeks later, I heard nothing from Jen and even tried to contact the number she left me for her direct line. I spoke with Brandon and he was able to get an electrician out to fix the problem. Jen then called and accused me of doing things outside of their protocol. Mind you, this is a month after not hearing from her. She proceeded to yell at me on the phone and insist that I was using the wrong number to get a hold of her and that she was "handling" the situation. Absolutely not. Now that my power is fixed in the garage, I am still waiting on the final inspection. I was told for the past 2 months that they are waiting to see when the city is able to come out to conduct the inspection. I called the Victorivlle Building Inspection Department and they are available to come out tomorrow and seem pretty flexible in their schedule. I called ESP to let them know and they keep saying "oh well we have to call our sub contractors and then call the city and try to get them on the same day." I offered to call the sub contractors myself and arrange this date and I was just given a non committal answer "I messaged the team working on your project and they'll reach out to try scheduling." At this point, I want to keep the panels and try to use a different energy provider. Nothing but stress and disappointment with this company. Please save yourself the grief. They do not communicate project timelines and there's always something else that is preventing a final inspection. I was also promised an electric car charger and a 220 volt installation that has yet to be scheduled. Biggest mistake was trusting this company to be forthcoming and care about their customers needs. After reading other reviews, I'm fully expecting to have to pay for panel loans AND an electricity bill next month.

Response from Energy Service Partners (ESP)

We apologize for the poor experience. It sounds like there were some miscommunications and we will investigate to see where we can improve. It looks like all of the work on the electrical ticket has been completed, and the next step in the process is the inspection as you pointed out, and we will make sure we have resources in place to get it completed promptly.

Please Use Anyone Else

I wish I read this before! 1. Job started in May 2022, panels still not up and running. 2. Horrible customer service from beginning to end. It is all lip service but no execution or f/u to back their words. For example I had to follow up on the permit through the city to find out the company still had not paid for the work to be done. Martin is our representative. 3. Disjointed company, departments don't talk to each other. Roofing, solar panels, etc... It's been horribly stressful. Now the business will boom with solar installation increased incentives through the federal mandate so find someone good!

Horrible Experience, incomplete job

My husband and I have had the worst customer experience of our lifetime. The work is scruffy and one of the shabbiest solar installation job in our neighborhood. We truly regret being serviced by this company. ESP started our solar installation in May 2022. First the site surveyor tripped our AC system, we were out of a working AC for nearly 4 weeks in the middle of a hit summer! We called and emailed and they refused to take accountability and stated it wasn’t possible that it was their fault. After personally hiring a technician at our own expense we confirmed that it was their fault. Next, after installation my husband and I both observed that the work appears shabby, messy and incomplete. Also, a hole was made on the wall which was left open and unaddressed. We had to call them to try and get it fixed. They sent it a worker who just filled in the hole in the exterior conduit and left. Finally, even till this moment their work remains incomplete. They have not even painted the conduits to match the attic as promised. There are still several openings on our roof. I have been calling them and leaving messages every week for over 6 weeks to no avail. They have failed to respond. They have also refuse to return my phone calls. We are yet to find anyone who is impressed by the structural integrity of the job. Warning for everyone. Do not service through this company!!!

Response from Energy Service Partners (ESP)

We apologize for the experience - from the information we have on your project, we show that the work has been completed. But if there are still any missing items, we request that you reach out to support@joinesp.com and send any photos of the missing work. We are happy to investigate and make sure you are taken care of on your concerns if there is in fact anything left unresolved.

Worst Customer Service

ESP installed my solar panels Oct. 2021, I discovered that they fell to complete the job. They did not install the critter guard that I paid extra for, and because of their failure to install the critter guard, I have birds nesting and soiling my panels. I have been calling them every week for over 4 weeks, and they have failed to respond. They refuse to return my phone calls and when you do get someone they do not have a clue and always promise someone will call back and they have not. This is more than frustrating or acceptable to the point I could not even give them one STAR !

Response from Energy Service Partners (ESP)

Gerald & Debbie, we're very sorry for the oversight - we have an open ticket and will follow up to make sure it is prioritized. The critter guard slipped through the cracks during the initial install, but we are currently working to schedule a time to have the work completed and will have someone reach out to you soon. Again, please accept our apology for any frustration and know that we are working to get this fully wrapped up for you.

Bad service!!

Have had nothing but problems with ESP. First when it came to the insulation they set a date to come out to install, but nerve showed up waited all day, and never got a call from them that they weren't coming at all! So the panels sat in my drive way for a week, and part on my sidewalk, and was in a the way. When it the panels were drop off they driver slide it to our land scarpering, and messed up our yard! After waiting seven weeks after instillation had finally gotten a date for the city inspector to come out. They gave me a time between 8 to 5 which kept from going any were I was trapped! The inspector got here at twelve, AND ESP NEVER SHOWED UP AT ALL NEVER CALLED TO SAY THEY WERE NOT SHOWING NOTHING! STILL HAVEN'T HEARD FROM THEM AT ALL! Now I will have to go to the back of the line to get an inspector once again, and no Idea when that will be put me at, who knows 8, 9 , 10 11 weeks since the installation! I have never dealt with a company that had no concern for the costumer, and blatant disregard for some one's time ! Wish I never started the whole thing, and hope I can get someone else's to to service me in the future! I had told neighbors, and friends about getting solar from them, now I will warn then not a company that would want to deal with!!

Response from Energy Service Partners (ESP)

John, we apologize for the delays. Please know that we are working to expedite your project to completion. Scheduling with outside parties can be challenging and we recognize there is always room for improvement. We're sorry it led to a poor experience along the way but we will absolutely see this through to a positive end result with you.

Horrible Customer Service

I have had solar panels installed by this company for several weeks now. They were on time and did a great job. For two weeks, I have had "Permission to Operate" and my pannels are not on yet. I have called at least 10 times and have asked why I'm not using solar yet and no one can tell me. I have been told every time I call, that someone will call me back and it never happens. For me, it seems like now they got paid for their work, they don't care about the customer anymore. Very frustrated and disappointed in this company.

Horrible experience with Voltaic & Energy Service Providers

Be warned, Voltaic is door to door company that says a lot of "great" things but really never follows through on them. They make enough of a statement to hold their own but falls back to not following through on it. Energy Service Partners start out really great but then fall short pretty quick. They promise if you need a new electrical panel, it is easy or if they need to fix something, it is all part of the plan. However, they told me they had to D-rate my panel since it was too large, then charged me $3,000+ to add a sub-panel since I didn't have any more space for more breakers. I then had to be the one who called ESP every few days to see if the inspection was scheduled and no one would answer or return my calls. I had to start paying for my solar before it was even producing energy. This whole processed took 5-6 months and was very stressful. One good was the sub-contractors they hired were all local and did a great job with installation and were all very communicative. Be warned, if you use either Voltaic or Energy Service Partners, you are in for doing everything yourself with little to no support.

Response from Energy Service Partners (ESP)

We're sorry you feel this way about the overall experience. You signed the installation agreement on March 22nd and your system was activated on July 26th so the process did take about 4 months. We apologize for the longer timeframe but it does tend to happen when anything like main panel or sub-panel upgrades are requested by the homeowner. We do our best to set proper expectations and communicate regularly and will review your project to find opportunities to improve. It is good to hear that our installation crews and partners are doing a good job, we will be sure to pass along the feedback.

AVOID AVOID AVOID

First off, don’t trust ESP, especially once they install the system. They use substandard components and won’t stand behind them once they fail. And they will fail. Second, don’t expect good customer service. They’re rude and you’ll be lucky if they respond to your concerns. When, and if, they do respond, they’ll sidestep any responsibility. In other words, after the install , you’re in your own. Third, if you do choose to use them, caveat emptor. During installation, the installer caused a voltage surge into my home causing over $2000 in damage. Even though the surge was obviously caused by the installer, ESP refused to take responsibility. Finally, from start to finish, the installation took over 4 months. So, if you’re in a hurry, forget it. I’ve had my system for less than a month and, at the moment, it’s not working and it’s going on a week since I contacted them for help. Needless to say, I DO NOT RECOMMEND ENERGY SERVICE PARTNERS.

Response from Energy Service Partners (ESP)

Hi Bruce, we're sorry you feel this way. We tracked down the system and have confirmed that it is operational at this time. Our team has been in touch with you regarding the electrical concern, and based on the report from the electrician it was determined that faulty components in an appliance unrelated to the solar was the issue, so we hope that you understand why it is not covered. We stand behind every one of our installations, the components we use, and the professionalism of our customer service team. In the rare event that there is an issue with your system we are always happy to assist and make it right as covered in our 25 year workmanship warranty.

I am DONE Worst experience EVER!!!

I started my Process in July of 2021, I still do not have an up grades electrical panel nor solar panels that are connected and working. I do have 14 panels that have been on my roof since the 2nd week of August 2021. I have been fed a long unimaginable line of BS from this corrupt company. I am still waiting on my electrical panel for the upgrade. I was told last week that it will be in sometime mid July, that was after being told in February that it would be in Mid May. I have been in constant contact on my end even though I was promised an update every 2 weeks which only occurred once. I am done!!!!! after 10 months of paying on my loan for the solar equipment and still no working solar I told the company I am finished. I want NOTHING to do with them; I do not want to hear from them or see them except for the removal of their product from my roof. Do you know that they had the audacity to refuse. No we will not remove the panels so we need to schedule a time for the electrical folks to come out and prep for your panel upgrade. NO!!! So, what part is it that you seem to be having difficulties with, when I tell your company to COME GET YOUR CRAPPY EQUIPIMENT OFF OF MY ROOF!!!! 10 months!! 10 months!! of your lies and BS' I changed my project manager due to being incompetent and not with just the basics of business, customer support and knowledge of the project. But also the lack integrity and all around human decency. They sent an apprentice alone to install my panels. I was outside at 9pm (it's dark out) I asked nicely, and I was ignored the 3 times I asked, then I got louder and louder until I was yelling at him to get off of my roof. His cousin showed up and told me he was new and was in training. So you leave him to do a job all by himself. That's just FANTASTIC. Here is the kicker. The loan company Goodleap is in cahoots with ESP. The money I borrowed is mine. The $$ should come to me so that I can pay the contractors as portions of the job are completed, that is how good construction/business is done. NOPE not these ASSHATS at Goodleap, they paid ESP the entire amount. I am out 40k+ and still I am without working solar. Tell me, NOW what is their incentive to complete the job on my home? NONE absolutely NONE!! They have their money. I am done I want them to come get their crappy product off my roof, refund the $$$ and never darken my doorway again, (except to remove said solar panels). My next step which will occur after I finish this email is to get lawyers, the BBB and the state board of licensing involved. DO NOT use this company. DO not believe the positive reviews. Run away, Run very fast and don't look back. I wish to Hell I had. After 10 months I am left with; incomplete non working solar and a loan I am paying on for a product that does not work. Neither the loan company or ESP are interested in the only resolution that is acceptable to me, 1. COMPLETE REMOVAL of the PANELS, 2. repair any damage created from the installation & removal of the solar panels, 3. reimburse the total amount of monies for the loan, 4. reimburse me for my electric bills for the past 8 months and my payments made to Goodleap for my loan. They continue to text, email and call me NOW with only information about moving forward. They continue to refuse to come remove the panels. I wish there were negative stars in reviews, ESP would get negative stars all around. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY You have been forewarned.

The worst

I regret ever starting this process. I've been paying for the panels on my roof for months now and still the electricity does not flow. Things were supposed to be completed today. After waiting MONTHS for these guys to show up, they finally did. ESP's guys came, worked for a while, then came and told me PG&E canceled and they wouldn't be able to do the work. Ok, fine. I guess we can blame the monopoly power provider for providing monopoly customer service, right? Well, five minutes after the ESP guys leave, the city inspector and PG&E show up at my front door. The inspector said he just happened to run into the PG&E guy at another job and had nothing scheduled, so he came to help with my place. PG&E tells me THEY WERE NEVER SCHEDULED TO SHOW UP TODAY. I called ESP and even though their guys were only gone 5 minutes, they decided not to come back because they "couldn't finish the job today" ESP customer service rep is less than helpful telling me, "This happens all the time" as if that's supposed to make me feel better that I'm not the only customer getting screwed. ESP absolutely refuses to take any responsibility for the screw-up, and offers absolutely NOTHING but excuses, evasion, and half-truths. Avoid ESP if you value your time and money, because they certainly don't.

Response from Energy Service Partners (ESP)

Hi Andy, we're very sorry for the miscommunication. The situation we encountered was a scheduling mixup by the utility team and we did not want to leave you without power overnight due to their delay. We received confirmation from them and have proof on file that they were scheduled to arrive per our communication to you, with an arrival time between 8AM and 12PM. Because they arrived late, we would not have had time to complete the work that day in order to receive the inspection and restore power, so we had to pull off the job to protect you from overnight power outage which would without a doubt be a poor experience. While we never want to point fingers, this is unfortunately a situation where the utility gave you incorrect information about what actually happened. Rest assured we are going to finish your project and take care of your concerns. Your job is already back on the schedule and we look forward to activating your solar.

My issue with ESP does not pertain to the friendliness of the office staff or the installers. Both were kind throughout the whole process. My biggest complaint that makes it impossible for me to recommend to friends or family is their lack of communication and mis-communcation. I started my project in November 2021. My solar was activated on 4/13/22. Here are the key issues that show the communication breakdown: 1) A new subpanel was recommended by ESP in November during the drawing up of my solar plans. On the installation date (1/24/22), the subcontractor did not have the right size subpanel. They had to come back 1.5 weeks later. 2) The city inspector came out to meet the subcontractor. The subcontractor did not have a CO form and I was not notified that the city inspector would need access to the utility closet for my building where my SDGE meter was located. This required a key from my HOA that I had to go pick up. Both the city inspector and subcontractor could not sign off on my system and had to come back. 3) The subcontractor did not show up when both the city inspector and subcontractor were supposed to come back for a follow up. 4) SDGE required a placard on my meter to distinguish mine from my other townhome neighbors. ESP received the same email from SDGE on 3/16/22. It took ESP 3.5 weeks to get this placard. I obtained the key from my HOA for the utility closet that housed my meter in preparation for the subcontractors' visit only to realize the subcontractor had already put it on during installation 2.5 months ago. I lost almost 4 weeks over an issue that had already been resolved. When ESP received the notice from SDGE back on 3/16/22, they should have looked further into it to see they had already performed this task. 5.5 months for a 3.52kWh system seems like an awful long time. I thought for sure going into the process that my HOA would be the rate limiting factor to installation. They took 2-3 weeks at the most to approve my plans. ESP took a ridiculous amount of time and really all of it was miscommunication between their staff and the subcontractors.

Response from Energy Service Partners (ESP)

Hi Ashley, we sincerely apologize for the delays. We looked at our records and we do see an ample amount of communication with you, but clearly the internal communication as well as coordination with our subcontractors could have been much better. Rest assured we take this very seriously and want to always improve our processes - we will ensure that our subcontractor management team is made aware and can use this to improve. Thank you for your patience and understanding as well as your thorough feedback.

Beware of these guys READ, READ, READ !

Where do I begin, This company is horrible and doesn't give a crap about you after you sign the dotted line. If I didn't know better this felt more like a con game than a purchase of something you actually wanted. The experience has been horrible and as the writing of this review it still isn't over. ESP came out and installed Solar Panels 2/4/2022 and with crappy work they completely messed up all my major appliances. However initially I did not know it was their work that was the culprit. They all started going haywire after ESP came out and did our power panel but at first we thought they were separate problems. That was until the dryer tech put a meter on my dryer and informed me I had no 220. The 110 worked so everything appeared as if they were functioning correctly, the drum spun, lights came on etc. but no heat. It was only after HVAC service call and that tech informing me that there was no 220 to the AC unit either that I put 2 and 2 together. It was only after I called and paid for HVAC diagnostics, Sears for the dryer and after all of my food in the refrigerator thawed and spoiled did i figure out ON MY OWN with the help of the Sears tech and the HVAC tech informing me in 84 degree weather that AC had no 220 and what the CAUSE of the problem was. ESP did not respond at all until I started rattling the cage and drying clothes for two months on the patio furniture. ESP techs had wired the 220 hot to the ground. I am surprise nothing else electronic that I am aware of at the writing of this review is damaged. Of course I documented everything in video's and pictures of the incorrectly wired mess in the power panel (included in this review). Here is the email I sent to them 2 months after they installed the solar panels. On Sun, Mar 27, 2022 at 5:07 PM Mark Sprague <mark@officeperfect.com> wrote: I need to be reimbursed for the time I had to take off work and out of pocket expenses I spent trying to get my appliances and HVAC working again and actually isolating and identifying and resolving, the problem. I have the receipts of course, pictures and videos and I had to have the ESP guys go back on the roof Friday 3/25 when they came back out to correct the power panel problem and clip up the wires that were hanging underneath the panels to keep them from touching the roof and setting my house on fire. Which was pointed out by the Solar Installers on my next door neighbor’s house and told me for a fact it would not pass inspection and of course if this had failed inspection on Tuesday I definitely would not have been a happy camper. The way they were left on the roof would never have passed a PG&E inspection and you can verify everything I am telling you with them. Where, when and how can I be reimbursed. I am willing to NOT write a BBB report or any review about my experience if you “can find” a Ring Doorbell in addition for my troubles. I am looking forward to passing the PGE inspection and having all of this behind me in a few days. Mark Needless to say after 3 inspection appointments none of which they kept 3/17/2002, 3/18/2022 and 3/29/2022 we still do not have an inspection date and I have 40K of Solar Panels on my roof I am paying for doing nothing. If anyone wants to discuss my experience in detail with ESP or share yours feel free to email me. If there are enough of us I will even consider a class action. It is not even over for me and I tried to give them an opportunity to correct it...... still waiting.

Beware! the salesman lie!

Beware! the salesman lie about important details and are protected by the contract! Anything they tell you in sales presentation they are not responsible as stated in the contract. like what? The sales person said we would be getting a check from the federal government for about $15000.00 which could be applied to the balance if financing or used for... a vacation or whatever. not true, check with your accountant, it is only credited gradually to your taxes owed each year. BIG DIFFERENCE! plus, the liar said the maintaining of the solar panels would be taken care of by the company which turned out to be bullshit. the panels need to be washed a couple of times a year and I am not going up there. maybe if you lease them its included because its in their own interest to keep them up, but if you finance your on your own. also watch the final price. I think they pad the bill, also the roof company they hired did a shit job and had to come back 3 times. they also clogged heating the vents on the roof which was discovered by the HVAC co and was a hazard. the vent capped were no replaced properly thus clogging the vents. oh you want more? the salesman said our power company would settle up at the end of the year which is also bullshit, we have been getting bill for 30 - 100 dollars per month. also, if you call them, you will speak to someone just out of high school who doesn't know their ass from a hole in the ground who will take a message. then they never call you back!

Response from Energy Service Partners (ESP)

Dan, we apologize that you had a poor experience. We are the installer and do not employ salespeople. The contract that you and all homeowners sign clearly states that taxes are always subject to the individual's situation and you are encouraged to check with your accountant. Panels do not require a cleaning every year to maintain functionality, it's optional and up to the homeowner to decide if they want to take the extra maintenance on themselves, or take advantage of the annual cleanings we offer as part of our Advantage and Premier service packages. We employ hardworking and knowledgeable people here on our customer service team, and are always open to constructive feedback if coaching or improvement is needed. We're sorry things didn't go smoothly and believe we've rectified the issues we have control over. We have confirmed that your system is working well and are ready to help if you ever find anything else amiss.

If I can do it again, I would not go with them. They quoted me that in 3 months, my solar will be installed and up and running. They installed the solar panels in March of 2021 and today is 2/22/2022 and is still not completed. Started off with sending in incorrect address to the city for panel upgrade. Then they submitted the correct address with incorrect layout of the house. SCE rejecting their installation request, because of missing information and incorrect address and other issues. Reschedule several times to install the panel upgrade and canceled on the day of install with no calls, I had to call and ask where the installers are. City inspector came out and failed the inspection. Now waiting on ESP to send out a person to correct it. After will need to be inspected again. I'm sure it will be over a year before solar gets turned on. They don't keep their promise. I recommend doing due diligence before signing any contracts and going with someone else.

Horrible company, terrible service

I purchased a solar system for my home from a ESP door to door salesman. My install began two days before Thanksgiving of 2021. The crew that went on my roof to install solar panels did substantial amounts of damage to my tile roof, but hid this fact from me telling me everything was okay as they left. When I climbed a ladder a week later I discovered broken tiles all about my roof and also left their trash on my roof. They mounted inverters for the panels in front of my gate so close as to make my gate non operational. I called their customer service to reported my findings. Their installer made no mention to the company about all the damage they did, luckily I had pictures to back up my claim. It has now been more than 10 weeks and ESP has not come out to repair the damage nor to finish completing the install. They have however shown pictures of panels mounted to my roof to lending agency, and use this as evidence to fully fund the loan so they could get paid. I am now stuck with a damage roof, a non operational solar system, and a company that will not take my calls. I am paying for my normal electric bill, the bill for the loan (for a non operational system), and have been severely taken advantage of by this predatory company. I have in writing that this company will make "Instant Reimbursements" for ALL payment until the time the system is operational, but that guarantee seems useless since the company does not take my calls and will not honor their obligations. It is sad to see a company take advantage of someone and use deceit to fully fund a loan. Buyer beware, do research for a reputable solar company if purchasing solar. They then lied to BBB stating I was holding up install, when they had promised to complete repairs of damage they caused before being allowed to install MPU (see attached screenshot from their salesperson)

The sales representative lied to us about our monthly solar cost and our monthly PGE bills. Our solar was supposed to cost $80 a month…not $116. We were told we would never have to pay more than $10 a month PGE and a lot of times PGE would owe us money. Please refer to chart below. The first month of our solar was June 2021 it was great ..PGE owed us $30. The chart below shows pre-solar (grey) and solar (blue), What happened in Nov and Dec 2021? Our PGE bill did NOT go down one bit…in fact it went up in DEc 2021…Plus we are still paying $116 a month for solar!!!! We did NOT go into debt for over $30,000 to pay DOUBLE what we would normally pay for power!! We have contacted ESP Solar by email. They told us they would analyze our service. I just sent them our last three months PGE bills. There has got to be some mistake here. They need to fix this!! I am sorry...I couldn't get the chart the appear on this platform TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND UNPROFESSIONAL ONSITE WORK. Need help with tAX credits and incentives... Very bad experience!!

we signed the contract since 6/2021 and they just turned them on today 12/20/2021 it took 6 months, they changed appointments all the time, and they were all over the place. we have paid for 3 months and we didnt even have the solar panels running

Response from Energy Service Partners (ESP)

We're sorry for the delays. We strive to provide a great experience for every customer. There was a re-roof and main panel upgrade involved which often can extend the timeline for any solar project, but we acknowledge that we could have done better in some areas and our support team has reached out to you directly with a resolution.

Property Damages

After drilling hundreds of holes for hardware, then removing them all in order to abandon job. I had them come in and pick up solar materials until i repaired are done on roof. Did not want to be responsible for possible theft, being my house sits on a major street. Driver had real hard time, exporting materials out my property. Never have i attempted a complete a u turn on my property and especially with a large truck like theirs. I guess it was ok for him to drive over my hardscape and puncture the moisture berrier. Esp i took care of the sweeping on my driveway. I know it was hot out there and your driver didn't feel like sweeping after himself. But can you please train employees on customer service, ethics and not destroying the side of your driveway tree. Thanks once roof is repair, calling another solar contractor. Unforseen conditions/unforseen cost, either way.

Response from Energy Service Partners (ESP)

Hi, we are more than happy to address all of these concerns, if you would please reach out to support@joinesp.com so we can help. Unfortunately we're not able to identify your project with the limited information provided but we definitely want to take care of this for you.

Poor Communications and Preparations

I really don't think you want me to leave a review. First off I'm not sure who is responsible for this project taking over 9 months. Secondly when it needed photos of the existing panels, there was a 30 day delay because the photographer only had one truck to carry such a long ladder as needed for my two-story house! After panels were finally installed it the city inspector two visits because your people didn't show up! All in all I thought I would have new panels in Spring and a lower energy bill for Summer use of my A/C. It was not available until late August. Overall I would have to rate your company a one star.

Response from Energy Service Partners (ESP)

Hi, we are very sorry for the overall delays. There were multiple stages at which your project was slowed down, not all of which were within our control, but we acknowledge that we should have done better at communicating these snags. Your system is now producing nicely and we expect it to do so for many years to come, so please let us know if we can help with anything in the future.

ESP = Everything Sucks, Period.

IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE AS A CONSUMER, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Where do I begin on my horrible journey with ESP... I was assigned this installer through the Solar Sales company I used to purchase my panels. In the beginning, it all seemed to be going according to plan. Communication was clear, expectations were set, and the job was well under way. I am now on MONTH 5 of my install journey and the job is still not complete (although ESP sent me communication saying we are, more on this later). Throughout my experience, I just kept thinking...Do Better. Communication with ESP is at an all time low, and no one seems to know what the hell is going on. My non-existent "Project Coordinator" made little to no contact with me throughout the process, I had to initiate 100% of the calls to ESP to find out the status on my Project. If I am paying upwards of $30k for a service, I expect a base line level of communication from the company. Once a project has been scheduled, they provide no level of detail on what each job entails (and they will schedule A LOT of jobs throughout your journey). From delivery drivers screaming at my neighbors for a parking spot, to leaving my front gate open and having my dog run out (and having to chase him barefoot across the street), to having 3rd party contractors just show up unannounced and sit in my driveway for 6 hours, you never know what you're going to get with ESP. The last straw for me, outside of the 5 month and counting timeline, was that they classified my job as complete before it was even finished. I assume this is to collect their payment and move on to the next one. I purchased 13 panels, but only 8 of them are functional. There are 5 panels (worth about $12k) that have never turned on. Instead of finishing the job correctly the first time, they classified my job as "complete" and listed the 5 panels as a warranty issue instead. This is a completely different department than the install team and if you can imagine, takes even LONGER to schedule someone to come out. I have now been given the same BS reply for 3 weeks that the job is "scheduled to be scheduled"...unacceptable. I am paying FULL PRICE for a job that is HALFWAY done. As I said in the beginning, STAY FAR AWAY from ESP if you have a choice in the matter. I am surprised they ask their customers to offer feedback, but glad I have the opportunity to share my experience with the world. ESP should stand for Everything Sucks, Period.

Response from Energy Service Partners (ESP)

Matt, we're very sorry to hear about this and want to help. Based on the zip code you listed for the installation, we're not seeing any issues with any projects in that area, but we want to get to the bottom of this and ask that you reach out to support@joinesp.com with your specific details so we can escalate this.

They don't care about their customers

I called at the beginning of the month of August, three weeks later and my system still no working, I called several times to reported my system, my system is not creating power, so I was told the warranty department was going to get back to me in seven day, now three weeks and still waiting for, so I don't know what to do at this point, please help.

Response from Energy Service Partners (ESP)

My panels are not functioning after on my on for one month

My panels are not producing energy. I put my service ticket in as soon as I seen that it was producing energy.. well that is where the nightmare begins and honestly this was my biggest fear before signing this contract. I get ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSE BACK ABOUT MY PANELS NOT WORKING!!!! I’m furious and of course the payment went through so now I’m paying for something that is not working what kind of sh””t is that. This has cost me a lot of problems with my husband who told me not to go with this company and I had to convince him that it would be ok. Now he is looking at me saying I told you so. This has cause problems in our family as it is a big financial decision. But the company doesn’t care. I wish nothing but the worst for this company as they have cause me pain and frustration.

Response from Energy Service Partners (ESP)

We apologize for the frustration but we have been in constant communication with you since May of this year. Our records show that our management team has already been in touch with you to resolve your concerns.

This company tried to apply a loan on my behalf without my knowl

This company tried to apply a loan on my behalf without my knowledge. I have no prior contact with this company nor having a need to install solar panels. Tried to talk with this company twice. The first time, they hung up on me. The second time, they promised to report to their managers. But they haven’t contacted me.

Response from Energy Service Partners (ESP)

We're sorry for any confusion but we never apply for loans on behalf of consumers. As an installer, we partner with external sales organizations who may guide you through a loan application as part of a solar project proposal, but ESP only gets involved once you've been approved for a loan and signed an installation contract. It's possible you had contact with an external sales rep employed by one such organization, but we only review contracts and finance docs once the customer has signed and the sales partner submits a complete packet, which there's no record of whatsoever in this case. Please send more detail to support@joinesp.com and we'll investigate for you, but in the meantime please direct your concerns to whatever third-party sales group you may have been in contact with.
