Solar Install & Customer Service
My solar install was delayed several months after financing was secured. Customer service to get my panels installed was poor. The only help I received was from their sales person who was also getting frustrated. Solar generation was far less then what was estimated after one year. I have called customer service five times and left three messages. Twice I did get through to a live person who agreed with me that my solar generation was far below what was estimated. I was told they were meeting to discuss a solution and somebody would call me back. I continue to wait for someone from Clear Solar to call me back after two months of trying to have them fix the problem.

Poor customer service
I had solar installed by clear solar. It was working good then out of nowhere my inverter quit sometime in may. I didnt notice until July. I have called and called and left message after message it has been two days of calling and messages and still not a single attempt has been made to contact me. So to sum up i have solar panels that have not been producing for two months and no one to talk to fix it or tell me who to call to fix it!!!!

Clear Solar is a Fraud!!!
This company called me and said I qualified for the government incentives. I told them I was not interested unless the solar panels would cover 100% of my power bill. They said my power bill would be no more than $88 which would have been 1/3 of what I was currently paying. After the panels were up and running, we have not seen but maybe a $20 reduction in our power bill. An official from our power company said that the amount of panels we got would never be enough to make a difference in our power bill. The solar company said I would get at least $14,000 of the amount that the Solar Company charged from the tax incentives from the government. After looking into this claim, I don't think I will qualify for any money from the government even though Clear Solar assured me many times that I would. The first month after the panels were in, I knew something was wrong and so I called Clear Solar many times. They said they needed 30 days to check it. I found out that they installed too small of a system. After I questioned them, they said they made a mistake. They said they would give me a break and add more panels to bring it up to 100 % power production. (Of course it was going to cost me more money) I trusted them, and as long as I was willing to pay the extra sum they talked to me and returned my calls. When I received the documents this time I noticed things on the document that were incorrect, but they assured me that it was right. So I signed the documents up until I got to the loan papers. The loan was for $2000 more than what I agreed to and when I questioned them I was told that the actual loan was a lesser amount. So I did not sign the loan papers. But I sent a message with the document that I had to have proof that this would cover the old loan and the additional panels. After that, Clear Solar would not answer anymore calls from me nor answer any emails. So I called Solcius, Manufacturer of the panels and they said that they would contact Clear Solar. I told Solcius to tell Clear Solar to call me and they never did. Solcius came back with a proposal to fix the problem, but it was going to cost me a fortune or they would remove the panels at my expense and I would still be stuck with paying for the panels even though I would no longer have the product. Solcius also claimed that our panels are in shade and so they cannot produce but this is not true. I have lots of sunshine on my panels for the majority of the day because the trees are 30 feet away.
If you are thinking about solar panels, first call your electric supplier and talk to the project manager. Not all power companies will buy the power back like the solar companies claim. The power company will tell you exactly what size system you need based on your average usage. For the size system that they installed, they charged me way too much. Once you sign the loan papers, the solar sales people say they are not responsible so you cannot get a refund. You are locked in to paying a loan for a system that is useless. So ask yourself the question, is this what you want to do? If you would like to look into Solar, talk to a local solar dealer that you can see face to face and talk to your tax accountant. Since I cannot get through to Clear Solar, if everyone that has had a problem with them would complain to the manufacturers, Solcius then maybe something would be done. If you feel you have been mistreated, call your State Bureau of Consumer Protection Agency or search for that at www.usa.gov.

BAD NEWS
When Clear Solar came to our town to sell solar systems, we bought 2 systems, one for our home and one for our auto body shop. We had the insulation blown in the attic of our home, new light bulbs installed in our home and the solar systems installed on our home and shop. We were never quite satisfied with the installation, because we told the salesmen that sold us the product that we wanted to have a battery backup system instead of hooking into the city. That never did happen, but instead, they kept calling us and asking us to sign off on the product so they could get paid from the financial company. They did come back and supposedly hook up the system, so we finally signed off thinking that things were in order, but after one month, the city who we purchase utilities through, informed us that neither system had been hooked up and therefore were not working yet.
We have called every number that we could find and no one will answer their phones. We have tried going through the financial company, but they too can not get hold of anyone. This has been very frustrating because when we bought the solar, we were told that this would take the place of our utility bill, instead it has been in addition to our utility bill. If we had this to do over again, we would not have made the same choice to purchase these solar panels. We hope that Clear Solar will come make this right by setting up a time to come to our home to hook up our solar panels and discuss options with the battery back up system.

No Customer Service
I wish that I could give this company a negative 5 stars. They took our money and ran. The installation was poor and then there were not enough panels to cover even half of our needs. There is now a severe safety hazard with the panels and we cannot get a hold of Clear Solar, UT customer service.

Impossible to reach, failed to make good on promised services.
Steer clear of this company. We have spent two years trying to get the things promised. They promised to replace lights to LED, never received. Promised a smart thermostat system, never received. Promised a website to monitor our production, never received. It now appears that they didn't properly file paper work with the city. People are super kind and friendly on the phone, but once they have the money and panels are in, they are impossible to work with. They are kind and promise to make it right, but never do.
$10,000 to fix | Cedar City, Utah | 03/28/2018
I was tricked
they looked at my power bill and told me that 16 panels would produce %99 of my power needs and I didn't need to chose a payment plan immediately. I later found out they had chosen a payment plan for me that isn't what I wanted but I was still OK with it. Then the instillation went great and was told when it was finished I should call someone for them to turn it on. I couldn't get a hold of anyone so after 2 months I figured out how to turn it on myself which still wasn't that big a deal to me. Now my problem is that I've had these panels for over 1 1/2 years and the panels are producing less then %50 of what I'm using so in conjecton with the payment plan I was put on my monthly electic costs are over x2 as much as before. I've tried to get a hold of someone to see what could be done but I've never been able to find anyone. I just hired someone else to look at the system and they said I should have been given a lot more panels in the first place and it will cost me $10,000 to make it work as well as clear solar promised me it would work originally.
