Incredibly Professional - Smooth Experience

The sales team talks a really big game about the system and the team that puts it on the roof. They aren't lying. Team was fantastic. Super professional team, friendly and communicative. Would recommend Venture Solar to anyone interested in Solar. From the sales, the management through the permitting, through to the installation, the team was amazing. Wendy kept me up to date on all the approvals and scheduling, the install team checked in with my (and let me bug them) constantly throughout the days of the install and also made sure everything was perfect before even thinking to call it done!

Exceed expectation

All appointment on schedule. From Jonathan the Salesman to installation crew to Adam the office management were all professional. I was told 6 to 12 weeks but honestly it took 6 weeks! Oh! They fixed all wall cutting to it pristine stage! Thanks for everything.

Great start, incredibly disappointing follow-through.

We began looking into solar more than a year ago. After reading the reviews and checking around online (and in our neighborhood), we decided to go ahead with Venture. Our salesperson was excellent: answered our questions, took into account that we have a metal shingle roof and a converted attic, and said that they would work alongside the roofing company to ensure a proper fit. That was all in August 2020 - everything was measured, communication was great. Post-sales, Venture hasn't lived up to their supposed quality here. We were originally scheduled for install in November. No word. Follow-ups, more answers that this was coming soon. As December approached, I pushed for an install so that we could maximize our federal tax credit. Some more movement, some delays, no progress. It is now May 2021. We've had other companies come door-to-door, offer to buy us out, and we have rejected them so far. Still, no word. There is always a push for a future time from the customer service team, but there aren't any plans, guarantees, or time tables. The customer service team -- and we were connected with the New York office -- is abysmal. It's a shame because their sales pitch made it seem like the logical choice - using some of the best panels at a competitive price. If you're in Connecticut, stay away. I hope that once -- if ever -- these panels are installed, that THAT process flows smoothly. My faith isn't betting on it anymore.

Customer service is sub par . my experience was terrible !

They claimed to have the best reviews, which must be a hoax because I was actually asked to give a review before installation , why I ask ? The rep replies to me there's a competition going on and it would help him out to submit review before installation FRAUD!!! and I'm still waiting for venture to patch holes left in sheet rock by install crew more than 30 days after install. I would not recommend venture to no one!

Absolutely would not recommend

I signed the documents for my solar panels in July. The installation was to include a new roof. I repeatedly contacted Venture for updates on when the roof would be installed over the next several months, as the current roof was in need of repairs. I was consistently told that they were working on obtaining the roofing permit. Venture did not get the roofing permit until the end of December. I had to pay for separate repairs in the meantime. The roof was installed in early January, and the panels a few weeks later. In order to obtain the building permit, reinforcement work was needed in the rafters in the attic. Venture has been out twice to perform the work since the panel installation, and still has not done the reinforcement work correctly. The Building Inspector has rejected the work both times. I am now being billed for the panels, but do not have a functioning system. In addition, I was told by the salesperson that Venture does not subcontract their work. However, I have repeatedly been contacted by someone from Skyline Solar to schedule work, saying they are "helping out" with the installation. I would absolutely not recommend this company to anyone. This whole process has been a time consuming nightmare.

Excellent sales, Installation, Management

I interviewed multiple solar companies comparing pricing; checked their reviews; inspected other jobs in the area; researched the solar panels and micro-inverters, energy usage and panel production, monitoring/maintenance plans, warranties; and competence of company personnel. After Steve Fusco, my salesman at Venture Solar and I met multiple times to review the design of the array, my family selected Venture Solar to install high quality LG panels and Enphase Micro Inverters. The wiring and conducts are neat and sensible. Unlike the other companies, most are tucked away and hidden from view. We highly recommend Venture Solar. We are very pleased with the care of the installation and the operation of the solar system.

solar has not had its inspection yet, so its not turned on yet, but so far its a friendly company to work with, the installation of the solar panels was quick and clean, the installation of the solar boxes are neat and tidy along side the original electrical meter. top marks so far.

Very happy with the sales & prodtuct quality by VentureSolar

I have heard about solar panel in the past 10 years but always question its production output and if it really could save my money. 8 months ago the Venture Solar sales manager Morgan met me and present their solar program. Morgan did a great job to explain how the solar panel work and how it could save money for me in the long term. I was convinced by Morgan's excellent presentation and signed up for their program after his first visit. Morgan also has provided the great post sales support after the installation. Since November 2020. My monthly electricity bill has dropped to the basic monthly service charge of $20/month (from over $100/month). I am expecting more saving when the winter is over. Overall I am grateful that I have made a great decision to go with Venture Solar for the solar panel project.

Bills not as promised

Sales rep promised us that our electric bill would drop below $20 per month. First 6 months have been far in excess and our bills are constantly higher. Venture solar has been no help at this time.

Excellent service

Very reasonable and helpful services from start to installation. Everyone from the initial salesperson to there office personnel who assisted with scheduling to the installation crew were very helpful and knowledgeable about their portion of the process. Moved fairly rapidly even with COVID timelines and winter storms.

Good service and very accommodating

I just chose Venture because they had good ratings overall, but I wasn't expecting this level of customer service, Rubail and Jestina were very cooperative and always answered my questions without delay; arrangements were also made to get solar panels installed with no additional fees given to me

Clean and professional installation - bring on the savings!

Great sales presentation - all my questions were answered. More importantly, the work went very smoothly - from new roof to panel installation. They kept me informed every step of the way. The only unknown at this time is what the new "normal" monthly utility will be!

Not too bad - great staff, long install time

We liked their presentation, while comparable to other vendors, they were able to provide more information (directly and online). Their staff has kept me in the loop, even when waiting for NYC building dept approvals. Once I was approved by NYC - the installation occurred within a couple of days. It was supposed to be a 1 day install (11 panels), but the panels were out of stock, they were back the next day to complete the install. Oops the next day, the installers showed up (unannounced) to check the mounting clips on the panels to ensure the correct parts were used. Overall - within a week of the installation, the electrical inspector is scheduled to check the install (tomorrow) and I should be good to go. All of the minor issues were resolved. They contacted me to ensure that the tax rebates if they changed would be absorbed by the company. Overall - good job and great, helpful staff.

Great support!

My panels were found to be not working correctly. Nichole from Venture Solar was my point of contact throughout the warranty work with Sunpower. Nichole was always fast to respond and knowledgeable regarding the process. I could not have asked for a better person to represent me and my concerns. Thanks Nichole and thanks Venture!

Great Experience

So far, very good! I just got my solar panels installed, and it only took the team a few hours to install 23 panels and a few microinverters (plus all wiring, etc). The sales and customer services reps were easy to reach and very accommodating. I highly recommend Venture Solar.

Service was good a little longer than except to get installed

Service was good a little longer than excepted to get installed but due to COVID delay was possible. On installation day they was there early finish job quick and clean no complaints.

Revies and Recommendation of Venture Solar

I have chosen to write this review for several reasons. 1) With number of Solar Energy Companies in the US it is very easy to make a mistake by choosing the wrong one because they presented you with a plan and a cost that is unrealistic. 2) The majority of these companies have very good salespeople who make their offer sound to good to be true and in many cases, it is just that. 3) However, when you find a Solar Energy Company that has an effective sales staff that tells you the truth and presents their product based on fact rather than hyperbole, and couples that with outstanding customer service from day one you want to let other people know about that company so they can benefit from my experience. I found a company that meets the criteria stated in number 3 above and I want to share that with those of you who may be considering Solar Energy for your home. Venture Solar is the company I choose to purchase my solar energy system from and have them install and maintain it. My wife and I made this decision because the salesman who called on us. Mr. John Diehl came to our home and made a very effective presentation based on facts. We had already spoken to several other companies, but the presentation Mr. Diehl made was head and shoulders above the rest. He made an honest, effective, and courteous presentation and took the time to answer our many questions in full. At no time did we feel pressured to buy our system from him. On the contrary he pointed out the kind of questions we should be asking all the companies we were considering and only wanted us to have all the information to make an informed decision. My wife and I took his information and researched Venture Solar further and made the decision to use Venture as our Solar Contractor. We have not regretted that decision even once. Mr. Diehl and his company made our purchase of solar energy painless and enjoyable. Our positive experience did not stop there. Once the contracts were signed the follow-up on an almost weekly basis while the permits for our projects were filed kept us actively involved in the process throughout. The gentleman who came to measure our roof and evaluate its strength to hold the system was professional, knowledgeable, and very courteous. Finally, day came for our installation. This was every bit as much a positive experience as what I have already reported. The entire installation team and electricians were professional, polite, and focused on providing us with the best experience. This crew top to bottom was friendly and went out of their way to ensure our safety from Covid while they were working in our home. Their workmanship was impeccable and their positive attitude in answering our questions was rare in today’s business environment. Again, this was a most positive experience. I would never recommend venture seller to anybody

I recommend that you go with the worst company on the site versus venture company. They have been stringing me along for over a month just because they didn’t even have the right cables when they first came to install my panels. That’s not my fault that they didn’t have the right cables now today I got and it’s raining so I understand that but they pushed me out two weeks just because today it’s raining.

My experience with Venture Solar was superb. My salesman Tom was punctual and well informed about his product. All the technicians were on time, neat and very knowledgeable. I have no regrets choosing Venture Solar.
