Venture Solar - Great!

Venture Solar has been great through the whole process; from the initial lukewarm sales pitch at my kitchen table after I found them at BJ's, to the follow-up, signing the contract, financing, and then the installation and related items (app walk-through, questions, etc.) I will give one item to note that isn't directly related to Venture Solar, but if I'm going to do a review, I'm going to be 'open kimono', full disclosure here: While the Venture Solar guys were great, the financing people at Sunnova were fine, but not as good as my Venture Solar people. I asked for some basic amortization tables and related questions and I got a bunch of crickets. I figured it out with the help of my sales guy plus some work on my own amortization tables where I had to plug figures. This is not a ding on Venture Solar, they actually get some extra credit for trying to help me. But it's atypical bank BS and the two people I talked to on two separate occasions did not impress me at all and I had to do their work on my own to get my answer.

My experience with Venture Solar overall has been great. My salesperson Jon was well informed and set the proper expectations for how my solar experience was going to go. We did run into several delays, but this was mostly due to supply chain and local permitting issues. Ryan in customer service helped right the ship and followed through to ensure all promises made by Venture Solar were kept. My panels are performing wonderfully and being able to monitor my panels with the enphase app has been great. I am already seeing a reduction in my energy bills as I produced more energy than I used in October 2022, which was my first full month of production. I highly recommend Venture Solar and would like to especially thank Ryan who was very helpful and was available for any customer service needs I had.

The experience with Venture solar has been one of the most stress free and easy experiences for a big project. The professionalism and thoroughness of Nick during the in home consult made the decision very easy. Up front information concerning the age of our roof help avoid any surprises. The only delay was the permitting/approval process by the local utility (understandable). Once all permitting was approved, Venture was quick to call and schedule the install. One minor missed communication of the sub-contractor Roof replacement scheduling that was resolved in minutes is the only thing I could complain about but cannot as it was handled immediately. The install itself was very well done though did take 2 separate non-consecutive days, again understandable, due to early November Install lack of daylight. The install was completed yesterday and I am already beginning to export energy.

Amazing experience going solar!!

We just got our solar panels installed this week by Venture Solar. It was such a simple and hands free process. Panels were installed in one day. The customer service was excellent from very beginning through installation. We cannot wait to start saving on our electric bill. With zero up front cost and all the tax incentives, it just makes sense! Not to mention that doing our part to help save our planet is a great feeling.

I was having trouble understanding my account and why the solar panels were not working. Chris reviewed my account and discovered the system had not been activated. Chris was very helpful and knowledgeable. He was able to turn on the system and explained the meaning of the icons in my account. He answered all my questions.

Good product Bad Communication and too long

You will research a lot of solar companies, and come to understand installing solar is a process. However, 10 months is too long to have everything up and running. I will say this about Venture, the sales person was by far the best experience and ONLY one who took my calls and returned them when there was an issue (and there were plenty of issues). The town I live in is also difficult but they are by the book. I personally spent hours tracking people down to connect dots, and understand when people were coming to resolve issues. It got to a point where if it wasn't for the sales person nobody would return my calls.

Competent and Hard-Working, if a Bit Disorganized

Overall I am very happy with my experience with Venture Solar. The sales person was a good combination of prompt and helpful without being nagging or overbearing. One snag was that I asked for a special change - upgrading my electrical panel to 200 amps. It didn't make its way into the contract, so when the project was started and the plans were drafted, that request wasn't included. There was an awkward period when I had to chase down the right people, but it did get fixed and they did honor it even though it wasn't in the contract. However, the miscommunication made its way down to the local office who wasn't aware of the update, so that added some more confusion. But in the end, the project was finished within the original time window and to my satisfaction. Every employee I dealt with was knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and hard-working.

I began investigating solar power for my home in early July 2022 when I was offered a quote at a local store’s kiosk... While waiting for the salesman to arrive, I googled "solar panels" to get some basic education. This resulted in a week of my phone ringing off the hook as about a dozen companies vied for the privilege of bringing solar power to my home! I got proposals from about a dozen companies with varied equipment, costs and recommendations! Each had its own good and bad points. When Arturo Bustamante from Venture Solar came by with his presentation, I had a good basis for comparison to the other installers. Arturo bent over backwards to win our business by matching or beating all his competitors’ offers and we settled on his proposal as the best overall. I was concerned about the permitting process as our condo’s HOA needs to approve all dwelling modifications before even applying for township permits. Arturo assured me Venture had experience with this and it wouldn’t be a problem! Needless to say, all went off without a hitch. Approvals and permits were completed in a few weeks and an installation was soon scheduled. Our entire system was installed in just one day! Venture arranged for the power company to replace our meter for “net metering” so we would get credit for the excess power we generate during the day to offset our nighttime usage. We were up and running in about 3 months, start to finish! Venture even sent someone over to monitor the town’s permit inspection! We just got our first full bill from the power company after completion: Only the $3.25 “customer connection” fee… As planned, the credit for excess power generation during the day completely offset our nighttime usage with a little extra towards next month’s bill! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I was Impressed with the young men who did the install. They were very professional and did an outstanding job. Very descriptive in their work and appreciate to see they new their job. Venture Solar was very communicative with the process and I appreciate the low stress level.

We had a great experience with them! Our consultant Josh Vecchiarino explained all our options very thoroughly and answered all of my family's questions. They walked us through the whole process, through permitting and installation. The system is very high quality!

Satisfied customer!

Venture Solar provides top notch service from the initial sales pitch, to your custom design, planning, installation, and customer service. They take care of all the applications with state/federal and your utility company. Install was a breeze and customer service always replies (thanks, Ryan!) to your questions and concerns. I’ll admit, I was a bit worried when I heard some of their early customers had undersized grids, but mine is doing an incredible job. I even got a $60 credit from my utility company last month for the excess power pumped back into the grid. I think it’s pretty safe to say they worked any kinks there may have been with sizing. If you’re hesitant because of that, don’t be.

Josh and the venture solar team was great throughout the installation process. Josh took personal care to make sure he maximized all the incentives I was eligible for and made the experience of installing solar painless. He even helped us work with our Hoa to ensure we were compliant on all by laws. Looking for to working Josh and the venture solar team for our rental properties.

Venture Solar was a pleasure to deal with from the first meeting to system going live. I got a new roof and 28 panels installed without any issues. I highly recommend them for your install.

The first person I had contact with was Lyle Allen the sales rep. It was a pleasure working with him. Lyle was a professional in every sense of the word. It was because of Lyle's presentation that we decided to choose Venture. He stayed in contact with me during the entire process and went beyond what one would expect. The other people who I had contact with were all attentive to my concerns. If I had any questions, they would always get back to me in more than a timely manner. There was a slight hiccup with the roofing company but to be fair to Venture, the roofing company was a subcontractor. I signed the initial contract on 6/24 and the entire system was up and working on 10/25. There are so many different components (permits, electric company, inspections, roofers, more inspections at the end of the project, and weather) time was a concern. No one ever made me question my decision to choose Venture.

A very good experience with solar

Venture Solar was able to install my solar panels quickly and neatly. They were very accommodating and always available to answer my questions. Their technicians were knowledgeable and staff very friendly and easy to deal with. Overall it was a pleasant and painless install process. I would highly recommend them for anyone who wants to get solar panels and take advantage of all the federal and state rebates .
