I had my inverter go out and I called Solcius and they sent out a repairman to check it out and he verified that the inverter burned out. I was then told that I had to e-mail the warranty division to get a new inverter and schedule a install. This was five weeks ago. I have called every week to see when the inverter would come in and I have also asked each rep. that I have talked to how I was going to be compensated for the elec. that I was not producing, each rep told me that I would be compensated and receive a check. Today I had to call again and found out that my inverter was in and when aI asked about my compensation check I was told that I would not receive one. I then asked to speak with a supervisor and explained what each rep had told me (which is in the notes that they take) the supervisor told me that he could not do anything for me and that I had been misinformed. Basically I have been lied to by the company rep. Solcius customer service is in the toilet , I even asked the supervisor to speak with his manager and he told me that I could not talk to them. (where's the customer service that they say that they pride themselves in)? If this company had any integrity they would follow through on what they say and reach out to there customers when there are issues. I feel like I am dealing with a bunch of used car salesmen. I hope this review reaches someone in Solcius that is willing to give me a call and show me what true customer service is. Frustrated Corey Woodford 801-319-5846
Response from Solcius Solar (Out of Business)
Corey, I am sorry to hear about your frustrations. I looked deeper into your case and found that you emailed our warranty team about the inverter on May 24th. We then responded the next day letting you know that we would send out a tech. Our tech was able to come by on May 31st and let us know that the inverter needed to be replaced. We received the replacement inverter on Junie 21st and will be installing it on June 27th in the morning (between 10 am and 12 pm). You don't need to be at your home for this replacement. All we need is access to the inverter. I talked to our customer service department and they let me know that we will be able to compensate for the time that you didn't have your inverter after a 7-day grace period. This means that you will be compensated from May 31st to June 27th. I am also having a customer service representative reach out to answer any other questions and concerns that you may have. I'm sorry about this confusion. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Horrible experience
This solar company is horrible. Do not get your solar installed by this company or you will regret it. I signed an agreement to have solar installed on my property July 2021 and they have yet to complete the installation. I have panels on my roof with the wires hanging off to the side connected to nothing. The worst part is I financed the solar panels and the monthly payments are due even though I don't have my system up and operating. Run from tis company, don't walk. They talk a good talk but have yet to complete my installation. Of the 3 solar companies I contacted they gave great answers to everything but haven't honored the promise

This company scams people
In the summer of 2021 i had the unfortunate luck of getting to know this sham of a company. The sales guy had all the right lines and convinced me to get a solar panel system installed on my home. I was led to believe that the system would keep me with power even if the grid went down. In fact everytime i spoke with the sales guy i would always mention that "if the grid went down at least i would still have power" every conversation we had i mentioned that. Unfortunately i signed the paperwork also believing that the three day grace period mean from time of installation. It was 6 or 7 months later that they sent an install crew out to put the system in. I was not home when they started my brother was. I arrived when they were done with the panels and were starting the converter. The lead installer started talking with me and when i mentioned that "at least if the grid goes down i'll still have power" he informed me that i was mistaken and that the system they were installing only put power back onto the grid. I immediately told him i didn't want that installed on my house and i immediately called the sales guy. While venting to him over the phone for close to an hour and telling him to get this crap off my house the installers finished thier job and left. Since then i have been in a battle between the loan company and Solcius to get these panels off my house and cancel the whole thing. So far neither side has wanted to put any effort into resolving this. Anyone know a good lawyer?

J.D., we are so sorry to hear about your frustrations. Solar power allows you to get power from the sun. So, if the power goes out while the sun is up, you will still have power generating to your home. You can also get a solar battery that will allow you to store your extra energy. I tried to look more into your case, but unfortunately, the name J.D. is too hard for me to find in our system. Just like all the other reviews - BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE
It's insane how many bad, recent reviews this company has, and all the comments should have been a nice warning and I regret not seeing them earlier. We spent the first couple months this year (2022) looking for a solar company, and Solcius came to our new-construction community as door-to-door salesmen. We initially liked our salesman Timothy Negron, and he was able to cut us an extra discount and to get some extra panels, but since signing the paperwork initially in February, after install it has been radio silence and we were ghosted. I understand the salesman's job is done but at least give us a person to contact or something. But ghosting, really?? It has been over a month since install and we still haven't had our solar turned on. After installation was first completed at the end of February, we were told that 2 inspections needed to happen, one by their team, and another by TEP. Almost two weeks after install, we heard nothing from TEP, so my husband called to find out what was needed, and they said the account number was submitted wrong in the paperwork and they were waiting for one of Solcius's team to correct it (for whatever reason only they could do it, and we couldn't). Another week goes by and we don't hear anything again, so we call TEP and they say the same thing, but this time the representative let us just make the change even though they weren't supposed to. It has now been another 3 weeks since then and still we haven't heard anything. Husband called Solcius to figure out the issue and the customer service team says they'll get back to us on Friday. I'm sure that we'll be the ones giving them a call instead of the other way around. All I can say is, it seems to be terrible pattern of HORRIBLE customer service (especially since this whole thing seems to be over a "typo" on an account number, and the only thing they need to do is correct it - not very hard). I regret going with this company and wish I could cancel the contract. I haven't even gotten to see how the panels perform yet, but I'm a little scared about it after reading other reviews about not meeting their "production estimates." I'll gladly change my review once I can see that part of it, but so far my experience has been extremely disappointing. Hopefully someone who is thinking of going through them for solar sees this review and doesn't give them a second thought. Note: I can't seem to find the brand of panels but we are pretty sure it is either Q Cells or LG

Poor Warranty experience
The original presentation and installation went well. The system has saved us a good amount on our electric bills. My biggest complaint is with their Warranty department. Using the "800" number to report the problem is a joke. Using email will get you a response within 24 hours. The response is that they first want you to verify the system is on. The system (inverter) has failed and needs repair or replace! Once I verify all switches are ON and still no production since LEDs on inverter are NOT lit, I receive an email that says the service tech will contact us soon. It has been almost two weeks and no one has contacted us. Also when we call their center we receive an agent named Kristen who was RUDE! And unsympathetic to our problem and no supervisor available to speak to? Still waiting for warranty repair!!!

do not honor warranty. Brush off request.
I thought this company was legit but when my system was turned on live and it was underproducing they are leaving to hung. Their original suggestion was to get 13 panels, I asked for 2 more to make sure I produced enough. after 4 months of monitoring the data showed that it is not producing what they estimate. when I called the company their answer was that it is an estimate and not a guarantee. You would assume that a 30% underproduce would require some attention but they don't care and just on keeping repeating that it is an estimate. They would not honor the warranty. If you want a tech to come and check the system they want you to pay $150. I spent like $23,000 on the project and their solution is to buy more panels. I have taken screenshots, sent pictures, but is not enough for them. I asked for a phone call from the warranty department but nothing. Please spend your money wisely and search for another company that would honor their word. P.S. I'm looking for legal advice so if you know of anyone please email let me know.
Response from Solcius Solar (Out of Business)
We are sorry to hear about your frustrations. We are held to the contracted warranty. I can assure you that we stick to the warranty of our products. The proposal is an estimate. The production of your solar system is dependent on the Sun and cloud coverage for the day. It isn't something that we are able to control. However, we can look into adding more panels for your home. We want to help you and answer all of your questions. I'm sorry that I couldn't give you more information, but we don't have a project in our system under the name "PapaBear Adams." Terrible Service
We started working on getting solar in the beginning of 2021. Bottom line: panels were installed before the energy company approved the plan. Now after 2 months the plan is still not approved so the power company will not finish the project, so we have useless panels sitting on our roof. In the beginning the folks were very nice. An inspector came out to see our house (in Wisconsin) and then the company came up with a plan. Oh no, now our roof is too steep. Okay, how about we put them on the back facing east and west. It will generate the same amount of power. No how about the front? Okay how about the back? When they came to install the panels there were 3 different plans. Then the installers were afraid to get on the still steep back roof, so they left. A few weeks later they returned, hammered a hole in our roof at the ridge, drilled 5 holes through our roof, and then through our ceiling, and installed the panels. Now after a month Alliant Energy has not come to install an new meter because they had not approved the installation plan yet. The plan was submitted two months ago, and Solciius was supposed to make corrections. They have failed to do so. Apparently they can not figure out that we need an overhead meter not an underground on. Alliant has written them at least 4 times regarding this. Awful company. Also note the brand and size of my system is only a guess

Awful, irresponsible company
I am extremely frustrated with Solcius and deeply dissatisfied with the service they have provided. TLDR: if you are looking to have solar installed, my personal recommendation is to find a different company that has a track record of actually caring about its customers. Based on my experiences and some of the other complaints on Google, Solcius apparently does not. We contracted with Solcius to have solar panels installed on our house late in 2018. I believe the installation was completed in March of 2019. On 6/23/2019 our HVAC unit ceased working. I contacted a licensed HVAC contractor in the area, and had them come out to do an inspection. They reported that the HVAC unit appeared to be fine (albeit it was a very old unit), but that no power was going to it. They also discovered an electrical burnout on the side of the unit, as well as a burnout in our breaker box. I then contacted a licensed electrician, who came on 6/24/2019 to inspect the damage. The electrician advised that the issue had to do with the solar installation, as the burnout was caused by a copper to aluminum cable splice that had not been performed correctly. The electrician restored power to the breaker box and the AC but did not touch the solar equipment. The HVAC ended up needing to be completely replaced, and the cost for us out of pocket regarding this was at least $9500. Repairs were performed around 7/25/2019 by Solcius' technicians, and I was informed by them that the solar array was functioning again. Solcius' installers had previously told me that the AC would run entirely off the solar during the day, and the AC was working again after they left, so I thought (based on Solcius' word and the fact the AC was keeping the house relatively cool) that the solar array was working. My power bills that summer were not nearly as severe as the previous years. Everything seemed to point to the solar working fine. On 9/21/2021, while inquiring with my power company about upgrading our solar due to enhanced demand, I was advised that the array was offline. This was shocking news, as I had thought the array had been functioning fine. The AC had been keeping the house at an acceptable temperature during the day; granted, it had been a bit warmer than we were used to, but we had been told this was normal behavior as well. I contacted Solcius the same day, and spoke to a customer service representative that sent an email on my behalf to their Warranty department. The Warranty department advised that their scheduling team would contact me to arrange an appointment to assess what was wrong with the array. Despite being told my issue was being handled with "priority" by the representative on the phone, I never received a call from any scheduling team. I instead received a text message a week later on the afternoon of 9/27/2021 advising that someone would be out the following morning. Their technician did arrive as planned on 9/28/2021, and advised me that multiple components of the solar array appeared to have been powered off as a part of the maintenance performed two years ago, and were simply not powered back on. So since 7/25/2019, not only had we been paying for a solar array that we were apparently not using at all, we were also purchasing all our power. I contacted Solcius again on 9/28/2021 after the servicing technician recommended it, hoping that they would be willing to take partial responsibility for this nightmare of an error. The representative that I spoke with was perhaps the least helpful I've ever spoken with. He quickly pivoted to blaming me for the issue, saying that it was my responsibility to monitor the system even though almost everything that I had been told to look for by Solcius (short of logging into a third-party monitoring application) had indicated that the solar was was working: the AC was running during the day, it was keeping the house a reasonable temperature during unreasonable Arizona summers, and the load controller seemed to be functioning. The representative told me they would need to "look into this further" since it is apparently "not Solcius' policy" to compensate customers. He stated someone would call me back by the end of the week. I did not receive a call back until the next Thursday. Which leads me to where I currently find myself. Solcius is unwilling to meaningfully compensate us for expenses caused by them neglecting to correctly fix the issue in the first place. They blithely motion to an email sent after the system was initially powered on that notes that "monitoring" the system is my responsibility after the first 48 hours of service. That they apparently don't check to ensure that the service their technicians supposedly completed was done properly is no issue to them. We have spent $3468.80 purchasing our power from SRP since August of 2019. This may seem like a small sum to Solcius (a multi-million dollar company), but to a family going through financial hardship it is a considerable amount; especially when we purchased solar to reduce our costs in the first place. It enrages me that this company shows such flippant disregard for customers once they have been set up. Their unwillingness to take the barest modicum of responsibility for their actions is honestly appalling, and should be a massive red flag for anyone that does business with them.
Response from Solcius Solar (Out of Business)
Will, I am sorry to hear about your frustrations. With this information, I was able to find your account (unlike on Yelp). We encourage all of our customers to check their app every single day so that they can let us know if there is a problem. That way we can fix it ASAP. I had my solar installed in February. We had a ok experience so decided to recommend them to my father. Everything was going fine until my dad lost his job do to an injury and needed a new roof. Unfortunately since he couldn't work we had to put the project on hold. We were told they couldn't hold it for long. I asked multiple times if we ended up having to cancel if we would be charged for what was done. We were told no by multiple people!! Since we can't complete the project until we fix the roof! Now we get a bill for almost a grand! Tried calling to inform them about my fathers situation and they don't care. I even tried to come to a mutual agreement since we were unaware he would have to pay and can't afford the ridicules amount they are asking for. But once again nothing. Now they have threaten to send him to collection when he is still unable to work. Needless to say I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALLLL! Be careful they act nice to reel you in but that is only to reel you in!!

A single solar panel should generate an average of 320 kWhs per month. We have 28 panels, and they are generating a TOTAL of 370 kWhs per month as a GROUP. Our panels are generating 4% of the power that they should be generating, and Solcius tells me that there's no problem to be fixed. Look, I’m an old dude. I’ve seen a lot of weird stuff. They Can't Fill Out a Simple Address
I can only give this one star, as I cannot even get my solar system turned on, and am paying for it. I've had this system installed in mid-November, and it's now April and it's still not turned on. It might be a different story if it were because of incorrect installation, material shortages, etc. However, the reason my system isn't turned on is because, whomever, or however, the applications is being filled out and submitted to my utility, who is the final approval, each and every time it gets rejected because "Premise and zip code were entered incorrectly". Six times. Six rejection letters so far. I've had to call, and granted, Solcius has reimbursed me for each month that I'm paying into my loan for this system, once I've asked them time after time, it's still something I don't want to continue doing, each and every month. Matt and Chris in Las Vegas sold me that I would begin accruing credits in the winter to make my bill easier, and yet here we are into Spring, coming into Summer, and I've got to call to ask what is going on, what I need to do, and will they reimburse me, each and every week nearly. All because someone cannot figure out how to write an address down. They've said it's an issue with the utility, but after five months, I don't care. They operate in Las Vegas, and I can't see them having this issue with every single customer in Las Vegas. Just frustrating to be paying for a nearly a $36k paperweight on my roof because someone can't get a simple address down, and it now makes me doubt the integrity of the system of the whole. If they cannot figure out an address, how can handle something more complicated such as roofing, or electrical systems, etc. Just incredibly unhappy and now worries at the whole of the service at this point, including the installation.

After much waiting we were finally told we were ready to activate the system. It didn't work.
