Quick, easy, and highly recommended!

Smart Wave Solar was low pressure when they came over after I called and asked for a consultation. They answered questions we had without being condescending and didn't feed me a bag of lies like another company I talked to. The process for getting the solar panels installed on my home was pretty simple. Because there are multiple third parties involved in getting the panels installed and ready to go (building permits, city approval, electric company), things can feel like they are progressing slowly, but my project manager kept in touch with me at least weekly. We were actually able to get our panels installed and working in about 1 month, so it was actually pretty quick! We were originally told to expect it to take up to 2 months. If you're considering getting solar panels installed, I recommend Smart Wave Solar, and if my review helped you decide to give them a call, feel free to tell them I helped you!

This is one great company

Being a good salesperson is a very difficult job, requiring the individual to straddle the interests of several stakeholders. Not only that, he or she is the face of the company to prospective clients. Curtis Anderson has been exceptional in preparing us for our solar project. First and foremost, he has let us know in so many ways, that Smart Wave Solar is an honest and ethical company committed to the needs of their customers. He and the executives of the firm have gone above and beyond to insure that our needs and concerns have been taken care of.

They both answered my questions completely and quickly, and worked hard to ensure my experience was positive. I had a wonderful experience getting my solar pannels and system installed from end to end. My sales person was very clear and simple explaning the benefits of having the system in place and how it does benefit the bottom line. All aspects of the team are amazing, the project manager followed up very closely and explained every step of the way regardless of how small or big the detail were, she was always there in very timely manner and accommodating with my scheduling needs. Their installers were amazing and very fast and professional while they were there installing the panels on the wall mounts and the system. Further more I like to say that even after all is said and done, I received a followup call from the company upper management to ensure everything was to my satisfaction. Sam has been very helpful in our solar journey. We spoke with six different providers before deciding on equipment and a company. We tend to ask very detailed questions and Sam was able to answer or get answers quickly. Installation is still pending but it has been a easy efficient process so far.

All I have to say is this: Smart Wave Solar delivered. On every account. Everything was on time. All individuals that I interacted with were always very professional and ready to answer any questions that I might have. The process was absolutley painless. Yes, I am a real customer, not a manufactured review to drum up sales. Smart Wave even agreed to go forward with my build without the finanincing fully in place because I was waiting for my HELOC loan to be approved. So they trusted me to come through. Which was a great feeling.

Smart Wave Solar was great!

The sales rep came across as more of a consultant than a pushy salesman and they could do things no other company could do. I wanted something that would still provide power even when the power was out without a battery until batteries were a more viable option and they were the only ones that could do that. The project manager was great at letting me know what was happening and how the project was progressing. The install crews were friendly, helpful and actually fun to have around. They took time to show me how things worked and even took my input on how to run the conduit. They truly provided the best overall value and all the people were great to work with from start to finish. I recommend them to anyone looking into solar.

I have installed solar twice (my last home and the one I’m in now) and Smart Wave is light years ahead of the competition. Their system met the needs of my 4,000 square foot home and then some. Installation was smooth and on time. The project managers were very attentive to my needs and questions. My son ended up using them and he also had a great experience. I’d definitely recommend Smart Wave to anyone.

Wow! Exceeded expectations!

Smart Wave Solar was one of three companies we vetted before making our decision. Here are some things that set Smart Wave Solar apart from the others. *Better product and the Sunny Boy inverters. *Good communication that turned into Better during the project. *Price point for the product. *Years in business. *Knowledge of our sales person, Curtis. Here are some ideas for improvement; *Better planning process for installs. My roof is VERY steep. Installers had a hard time and had to delay the install by a day. Wrong breaker also delayed. *A better understanding of how the Fed and State Credit work to keep customers informed. From the beginning the process was good. Design, contract, and financing was a breeze. The parts that wowed us was during the install phase. Bethany gave daily communication, sometimes multiple times a day. When a mistake was made I was informed immediately, given a solution, and it was addressed the same day! As a contractor I know my customers appreciate that, and I appreciated that as a customer of Smart Wave. I bought the installers lunch and spent time with them. What a great group, Jared and team. They were fun to chat with, worked well together, and cleaned up my yard spotless when done. I wish they wanted to switch careers and work for me. I have already referred two friends to Smart Wave. You will be wowed with Smart Wave.

Exemplary Service and a wonderful experience

We had long debated whether to get Solar Panels installed on our house and finally elected to go ahead as our roof had to be replaced this year. We did a lot of research and it came down to requesting bids from three different companies. Smart Wave Solar came out the clear winners after the presentation. Price wise they were smack in the middle but Celia won us over almost immediately by asking the key question up front; “Why do you want Solar Power”? The technology used is excellent and the payback time worked really well. From day one, the whole process was simple on us. Smart Wave handled the whole process of requesting permits and working with the City and Power Company. We even had our install date moved up a little when our Panels came in early. The City turned out to be a little pedantic and ended up inspecting the install no less than three times but Smart Wave worked with them to resolve the small changes they requested. As soon as the meter was installed, we turned on the system and our monitoring was up and running the next day. All in all, the whole process was really easy on us and we have no hesitation in recommending Smart Wave to anyone.

Very Positive and Detailed Without Being Pushy

We are just at the beginning phase of this journey but wanted to comment on what we have experienced so far. Steve Michels was our initial contact at Smart Wave Solar and worked with us via Zoom which was incredibly effective. The tools he had at his disposal were insightful and helped us understand solar not just specific to Smart Wave. There was absolutely no pressure from Steve and he allowed us time to research on our own. Even after we had decided to go with Smart Wave we pulled the stop card before the recission period had expired to look at one more bid. In the end, Steve and his team stepped up even more to make our decision a solid one. We believe that no one person knows all the answers. Steve was more than up front with us when we asked questions he had to research and get back to us on. He was very professional and willing to admit he did not know but would find the answer and he did! We are now assigned a project manager with Alexandrea and she has been very responsive during the design phase. We are very pleased at this point with all that has happened and excited to move this along and will certainly update our review as we do.

Highly experienced and professional/best overall value

Hands down the most transparent presentation/bid we received out of every single company we looked at. Smart wave uses great equipment with some of the best warranties out there. Our consultant educated us on the value of solar as well as set all the right expectations. Other companies were very surface level and didn't spend quality time explaining things. Smart Wave gave us all the info we needed, didn't pressure and followed up very promptly and respectfully. Best price and value compared to every other bid we received. Extremely happy with Curtis and the whole experience and level of customer service we received from Smart Wave Solar. BEST UTAH SOLAR COMPANY and highly recommended by us happy customers!

Great Experience

Smart Wave Solar was patient, helpful, and not pushy as I came up to speed with solar and evaluated several providers and different setups. They won my business due to their approach and their proposal that met what I was looking for.

We received up to date information informing us and educating us about solar. The information we received was very helpful to educate us about tax credits and savings we would receive each month on our power bill. We were very impressed with the history and the business partners involved in Smart Wave Solar. Everyone of our concerns were answered. The business partners had a commitment to us that they upheld and they showed a willingness to follow through on each one of their promises to us. The installers were very respectful and take great pride in their workmanship.They used the highest quality solar panels. They look really good too. We found the installers were good at overcoming obstacles and finding satisfactory solutions. Their soft ware system that creates the panel design is very accurate. We are very pleased with Smart Wave Solar. We highly recommend them . You will be very pleased with them.

Excellent Service and Good Communication

Smart Wave did an excellent job with the install of our solar panels. We love not having a power bill each month! Overall, our experience took about 2 months from the time we decided to install the solar panels to the time we actually had functioning panels. We had a couple of slow downs during the process but our project manager did an amazing job communicating what was going on and also fixing any issues that came up. Overall, we give them 5 stars and we are very happy with the end result!

When I get solar it will be because of Smart Wave Solar

We've yet to purchase solar, but the sales guy was a delight to visit with! Courteous, pleasant, knew his industry like he had invented it and was incredibly service oriented. We were contacted by seemingly dozens of other companies and while we are still pondering making the purchase at this time, when we do go for it, it will be with Smart Wave Solar and Curtis Anderson--the kind of guy you'd like to hang out with.

I requested quotes from 4 solar companies. After receiving them I spoke with each company rep to find out the pros and cons of the type of equipment quoted, its expected performance, warranty, as well as reviewed each of their cost breakdowns. I also rated the sales reps on their knowledge and truthfulness. Based on all of these factors I chose Smart Wave Solar. I was not disappointed in any way with their business dealings, products, or overall experience. I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting solar.
