I wanted to thank solar Solaris for completing my solar system in a very neat and timely manner. The installers were very fast and cleaned up after there work. We have the Powerwall II as part of our system and I would recommend a battery for any new system being installed today. Their drywall repair man does an excellent job on any wall repairs needed. A Really Big Thank You To All The Vets!! One thing I have to say is, these guys really know what they are doing, I will recommend them to anyone, as a hard and shop around customer, they really competed on prices and services, my salesman was Mark Ivory, he is very knowledgeable, and professional to deal with, even I was in the ingrid business for a while, but I was surprised how knowledgeable he was, also they really went out of his way to help me try to setup my loan with Mosiac (didn't really work out), and panels, but thanks to them, pretty soon I will say good bye to my electric company, so you can pretty much kiss me goodbye with your increase rates!!!!

Great Company, Sales, and Installation!

Great company. All of the work was completed on time. Mike Winklepleck, was super helpful, throughout the process. He explained everything in detail to my husband and I. We love how the system looks on our house, and the electrical savings we are enjoying. We could not be happier!

Do NOT recommend Semper Solaris

Nail/drill bit?/found in microwave vent-microwave & vent not working. My husband had to take microwave out to find a tool access by your employees. We were not home the entire time during HVAC installation. When the condenser was installed we were told it would require some digging and cutting of our hedge. The foreman decided to place the condenser in the middle of our hedge vs the edge. A section of our hedge was removed which aesthetically was a poor decision. DH (territory leadership)came to our home and agreed with our feedback. It was left at that. In addition, DH was a no show the 1st time he was supposed to come to our house to assess the work that was done. The rescheduled date/time he was to arrive he was 30min late. I had questioned the use of day laborers with roof removal. One worker spoke English. It was summer, it was hot, these poor employees were provided with no bathrooms or water jugs. One of the employees was asking to urgently use our restroom. He was in a clear panic. We could smell whatever he had to take care of throughout our home after he was done. With the amount of money we paid, if day laborers were used that information should be fully disclosed. Woodwork was also not completed in garage-open spaces over night to allowed for rodents, pests enter our garage. In addition to this day there is debris in our garage that was never cleaned up. There was no service recovery done for our bad experience. I expressed our experience with multiple staff (at least 10). We had to take out the microwave to find a drill accessory, screws and debris in microwave exhaust because the vent on top of the roof was never covered. It’s great to receive emails with feedback surveys but pointless if nothing is done with the information received. As a big business, I would think that customer feedback would be valuable. Honestly, we would not recommend Semper Solaris to anyone. We hope that this feedback is taken into account so no other customer has this awful experience.

Beware of false assurances

I had solar installed thru them in late 2020 and I was told at the time that if and when I get my roof done, there is a $35 per panel charge to uninstall and reinstall the solar panels. Fast forward to February 2024 and with the rains we have been having, my roof started to leak. Doing my research on roofers I inquired with Semper to do room and they quoted me $22K for the roof plus $315/panel to uninstall and reinstall. After much discussion, we agreed upon $75/panel whether I get the roof done thru them or with some else. Finally, found a good roofer for $15K and when I contacted Semper to write up a contract to do the uninstall and reinstall of solar panels, they completely breached my trust. They said they do not offer this service unless I get the roof done thru them or have battery installed or have solar work done thru them. This is what I get for supporting a veteran owned business. Very dishonest, ridiculously over priced, horrible customer service. Eric doesn’t know what Ameet is saying and Jennifer doesn’t know what Eric is talking about. Poorly managed organization causing nothing but agony, frustration and disappointment. Perfect recipe for my lawyer who is working diligently towards a hefty payday. Buyers beware. Stay away from this company and save yourself.

Still paying $410.00 to the loan and paying $650.00 to SDG&E

UNSAT We’re paying for the loan ANY paying SDG&E at he same time!!! Had the solar installed on 13 Nov and now 19 Feb. This is going to save us money???

It is true- they ruin your roof, I live with buckets now

I was an educated buyer. The process of installing was smooth, but they ruined my new roof. I had the original roofers come out to take a look since Semper Solaris TAKES FOREVER TO RESPOND. They confirmed that the installation was faulty and showed me how the correct way to install solar panels on my roof would be like. I NOW see that the way they made errors and patched my roof was amateurish and I regret that I ruined my new roof. Don't use them. There are other much better providers. I really wanted to help the veterans but it's been rough living under a ceiling that is leaking cats and dogs due to them.

Semper Solaris / Buyer Beware

In January 2023, California NEM 3.0 was looming ahead and I was concerned about missing the opportunity to get solar panels and enjoy the benefits of NEM 2.0. I started a mad dash to get solar installed before that date. I started interviewing solar companies. At first blush it seemed that Semper Solaris had it together better than the two others I interviewed. The sales rep was responsive and answered my questions to my satisfaction. Plus it is a veteran owned company according to their advertisements. Why not use them. They did seem to cost more than the others, but I believe you get what you pay for. As long as they delivered as promised it would be worth it to me to have peace of mind. After I signed the contract, my sales rep became more and more distant. I wasn't surprised since she got the contract, but she did claim she would keep in touch which did not happen. During our discussions I expressed concerns whether I have to include my roof as well. Grains were coming off my shingles, and that had not happened before. Semper Solaris inspected my roof and said it was fine. I have many years of life left on my roof. I thought great. Semper Solaris installation crew were fast, efficient and friendly. The project finished as planned. The permits took awhile, although that was really the City and not Semper's fault. I received an email from Semper Solaris on August 29, 2023 indicating my system was completed and operating. I qualified for NEM 2.0. Around the date of September 13, I contacted Semper Solaris to indicate I lost a bunch of shingles after a wind storm. Two weeks after receiving correspondence my system was completed. I had never lost any shingles before and reiterated my concerns for my roof. Not until December (3 months after notifying them of my shingle loss) did I receive contact from Semper Solaris to inspect my roof. They had me agree that if Semper inspects my roof and determines that the damage is not caused by them, then it won't be under warranty and I would be charged $250. The timing of losing all those shingles a few months after they walked on my roof seemed more than coincidental, especially since before we ever started this project I continued expressed concerns about my roof. If my roof is healthy and I have lots of years left, I shouldn't have to fix shingles a few months after installation. On December 13, the Semper Solaris crew inspected my roof and determined that they are not responsible. I am waiting for my $250 bill. Furthermore, they went on to say they can fix my roof and will provide an estimate. Despite the fact that I expressed my concerns before ever starting this project that I wanted to make sure my roof is ok and would last. Now I am forced to repair at the least and maybe something more at the most. Semper has indicated on my single family home, ranch style that all my ridge caps need to be replaced. They would fix it for $2,500. But they would offer me a 10% discount for $2,250. So with the original charge of $250 to come out and inspect my home, I'm back up to $2,500. Again, if my roof is in such peril, why didn't Semper tell me at the time and I could have addressed it at that point. But now not even six months later (3 months delay on their end) I am forced to consider replacing my ridge caps. As I sit here and contemplate my options, if I had to do it all over again, I would have used a less expensive vendor and had my roof included in this process. To anybody else who wants to consider using Semper, I would think twice. There are too many other companies out there charging less and providing the same service. Also, getting an independent roofer to inspect your roof would be better than using Semper's all in one service. They have a vested interest here to navigate the sales cycle in their favor. Buyer beware.

Poor Quality, Experience, and Professionalism

I used Semper Solaris for our solar installation, partial re-roof, and new HVAC unit. We have had issues with all 3 jobs. We had all of this done in 2021, and we're still having trouble getting our issues resolved. I've been passed around to a couple of different "specialized customer service" reps, and they have been great. However, unfortunately, they cannot really do anything but to continue to relay the issues and schedule new appointments. I have had so many issues with our roof, that I completely find it irresponsible and unprofessional that I haven't heard anything from anybody within the Roofing Division. The Director must be completely embarrassed that he cannot find 2 techs that cannot properly complete a partial re-roofing project. He certainly has not come out to see any of the issues, and apparently is too busy to worry about quality or reputation. Cannot believe that these guys are still in business. Stay away from this company.

Slow service, horrible communication & ACH payment theft

I hired Semper Solaris in December 2022 and it's now November 15, 2023 and still DO NOT have a fully operational system. It's produced ZERO electricity for me and they still have not released control of the system to me. However, they've taken over $72,000 from my account including two payments yesterday of $4,340 & $7,218 via ACH payment without notifying me, nevermind providing me proof, that we passed 'final inspection'. Their 'final final payment is only $250' which is supposed to happen once we have an approved and operational system. Beware of this company!

Terrible service

The customer service is terrible. They epitomize the reason for going with a company that does both the panels and battery with inhouse expertise. Panels and battery installed in September, it is now November and the battery is not working. The enphase and Semper techs have come out multiple time, but never together. Lot of he said, she said on why it is not working. No actual documentation of the issue either. Meanwhile, guess who is paying finance charges for a product that is not working?!?!?!

No communication- no customer satisfaction

We had solar and wanted to add more panels. We contacted Semper Solaris and started the arduous process of getting a plan together. Everything started out okay, things slowed down and we couldn’t get updates. It could take days, even a week, to get a response. The panels were installed, but then we hit a brick wall and nothing happened for over 3 months. We were paying for equipment that wasn’t doing anything, missing out on the best weather of the year, and not getting any communication even though we were on top of following up with our rep. Before all was done, we spoke with several different people being passed on) and eventually inspections happened and eventually sign offs and activation. Do to the issues, we had asked for a minor fee to be waived to show good faith and at then end of the day they charged us anyway. We have holes in our ceiling from installation and have no idea if these will be fixed as communication is often non existent. The installers were great, but the rest of the process was not great. I will not be referring them to friends or family.

Solar roofing project

I have had a complete solar system put in.Since February of 2023 my roof has Been leaking… I have had no support from Sempra Solis to fix my leak and Problemn.. They have come out found the Problemn refuse to fix the roof… I have called numerous times with no help. It is now Nov. and the raining season is coming… I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this company for anything. No Repair at all and they DONT quarantine there work… I am now on the process to contact BBB file a complaint Which can be file … Sempa Solis is not worth your struggle and they Don’t Back there company

Multiple delays and incompetenace

I contracted Semper for solar and a new roof. The roof has failed inspection three times! I am now on a month waiting for the roofing to be complete so the solar can be installed. In the meantime I have had A/C installed so my electric bill continues to climb while I wait for my solar, which I financed and am paying. They have no regard for their customers. They have left a ladder in my front yard attached to the house for over a week despite my repeated (4 times over a 3 day period)) request to have it removed until needed, which won't be for another 5 days. Apparently once Semper gets their money from the financing company they stop providing good service to their customers.

Save yourselves the heartache

Do you want your issue quickly resolved? Do you want to feel heard and treated with respect? If you answered yes, do not go with Semper Solaris. We got our system installed in 2019 and found out it stopped working a few months later. Here, we are in 2023 faced with a giant electricity bill, being passed around different people just hoping for a mere appointment for somebody to see what is going on with the system. Do they care? No, they will read you your contract saying it is your sole responsibility to monitor it. Did anybody help us set up a monitoring account and give us an activation code in 2019? Nope. A technician did this for us just 2 weeks ago. Please please, go with a company that cares about you and your family. I told them I have 2 daughters with asthma that need AC in this summer heat. They don't care after everything is installed. They just don't.

Don't Use Semper Solaris

Semper Solaris started our job end of May. It has taken them over two months to dig the trench properly from the street to the side of the house where the breaker box is. A couple of guys would dig by hand for a day or two. Then a week went by without anyone working. Then a couple of guys would dig. Then no one for two weeks. The pattern repeated itself for two months. The inspector has been out three times and wrote up what was done incorrectly and the changes that needed to be to be made for the trench. There will be a fourth inspection coming up. If there is a foreman on the site, he is there briefly. Never have seen him/her and have never been given a name or contact number. No project manager for a very long time. The first one quit. Customer service is poor. No response to a lengthy email of mine documenting the poor construction progress. There is no construction schedule. The loan for the solar construction was received by Semper Solaris in January. We have been paying double for our electricity for six months - the electric bill and the loan payment. No solar in sight. This is absolute worse construction project anyone could have.

STAY AWAY !!!!!!

DO NOT Let them talk you into anything !!!! There was a guy walking around our neighborhood offering us the Tesla Battery since our house already has Solar !! We live in Fillmore, Ca . Guy said we had a lot of incentives they could offer us , we invited him in and he sat down and went over some of the price breaks we would be qualified for . And that even though we had to get approval from our HOA that giving him a $1,000 refundable deposit would put us in line due to having the Tesla batteries on back order . And he kept promising us it was fully refundable !!! So we waited a few months ( which he did say it would take and that a tech was going to call us to come over to see the location for the battery in our garage . So as we all know the interest on loans went up and they said our payment was going to be double what we had agreed on, so we told them that we would have to wait and would like to have our refundable deposit back !!! Well they said the sales guy that took our check no longer works for them and that because they sent the guy to see where our battery would be located in our garage when we did get the system that our deposit was lost !!! WTF !!!! You guys can roll up our $1,000 and shove it up your crooked ass !!! Fuck Semper Solar !!!!

Poor Quality

My system has broken down completely twice in the last two years. The first time I didn’t check on my production and was without solar for almost two months. (They will not notify you if your system is down-once they have your money it apparently doesn’t matter) This time I caught it quickly but the company kept jerking me around for about two weeks. They kept having me do things like turn it off and on and then I was told to wait 48 hours. It’s been off for about a month and they FINALLY said they would come out, but not for another month! This is prime solar time and I am going to miss at least another two months again this year. I was told that their repair team is very busy-obviously i’m not the only person having issues with their products.

Bad customer service when things go wrong.

DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS COMPANY. We have had tons of issues with our solar from the beginning, from months of delayed installations, delayed permit applications, to faulty equipment (which we are paying top dollar for), multiple visits without fixing the problem and just a multitude of giving us the run around as to why power wasn't up yet or our Enphase isn't registering all the panels, why our breaker keeps tripping. For the many times they have managed to finally send someone out here to fix or take a look at the problem they could have sent a qualified person to begin with and done it right the first time. We are extremely frustrated and disappointed on them since we are still in the process of trying to get issues fixed. If the issue does not get resolved soon, I am afraid we may need to bring a lawsuit against the poor work delivered to us

Mark Ivory is the best!

When we first bought our home we had never had solar before. We had a lot of questions - thankfully Mark Ivory was super patient and very knowledgeable and answered everyone of our questions. The install was great with no issues. The system has run without problems since and we can check and see how we are creating energy thru the app. Years later we wanted to add an energy wall. The only company we called was Semper Solaris for a bid! Super company to work with! It is a bonus that they are Veteran owned!

These people are Great!

Ok, from my first contact to even now, the response I get from the many persons working for Semper Solaris is quick, understandable and friendly. When I have questions they quickly return my call and give me answers that help. I referred one other person to them and that person quickly signed up with Semper on their home. That person referred another person and they signed up with Semper Solaris. No kidding their sales people are super and always with you every step from installation to inspection. They know its a big commitment but they have your best interest at heart. My electric bill was over 300 per month now 35 or so per month. The money I'm saving pays for the solar panel bill easy. But I was able to pay the solar panel off now I own them. In addition the value of my home has increased, and I like that. This might sound corny but I want to say to the world, thank you Semper Solaris for helping me and my family make ends meet in this difficult world. Joe

Skilled and Professional -- Highly recommend

This rating is on the roof which Semper installed for us prior to installing the solar. The quality and expediency of the work crew was great. Our roof had four layers and there were problems that were unexpected, but Semper brought the roof up to code and communicated with us reliably. When all goes exactly as expected, it is pretty easy to be satisfied with a company, but when there are unexpected circumstances that arise, not within anyone's control, the sign of a great company is how they handle and resolve problems. Semper never ignored our questions, they answered very quickly and stuck with the issues and resolved them as quickly as possible. We are very satisfied with the company and they are now finishing up the solar phase of the project. Our expectations are high and they exceeded our expectations so far. Update: The solar has been installed, checked for function, and we will await the city inspection. The crew worked quickly and efficiently.
