No bs

I originally purchased 13 panels and then followed up with an additional 2. I choose semper because of the quality of the product, the price and the non bs sales pitch from Mel Roberts. The other solar companies are too "saley", no-thanks! The work was done well. This is my second house with solar, the prior company, sungevities installers made mistakes like blowing out the wood on one of the eaves of the house and cutting back some cement shingles too far. None of those problems with these guys. Even their paint matching in painting the conduit to match the house and roof color was on point. I had the pleasure of working with my main point of contact Billie Yanko who was always super responsive. Go with Semper, you wont regret it.

Don't be "victim" of their "Learning process"

Where to begin? I will keep it simple. After researching several companies, we went with Semper Solaris. They talked a good game, and sure know how to present themselves to get you behind their mission statement. Well, what should have been a job accomplished in no more than 3 visits in less than a month took 11 visits and several months. It started with the system not producing as promised. This resulted in a crew coming out and replacing some faulty equipment. In so doing, they found workmanship errors from the first crew they had to repair. Well, withotu boring you, I would find an error (inverter computer not communicating, all panels not registering, weather tight junction boxes NOT being weather tight) and each time a crew came out, they also found other errors from prior repair teams that I had been unaware of. After 11 visits over multiple months, the system finally seems to be working right. NOW, we get to management. At one point upper management was fully admitting the errors were all due to poor communication and poor management at a branch level and that I was a "victim" in this "learning process". Supposedly the entire local maagement team that handled my case was replaced. However, shortly after this point, corporate management essentially did a 180 telling me that the errors were all 'cosmetic' only, the system worked as designed since the day it was turned on, and that basically I shouldbe happy that after paying them upfront I should be happy they FINALLY figured it out and got it working right. When I pointed out that the system most surely had NOT operated to specs the day it was turned on and took several visits to function at full cpacity, their answer was 'We are not responsible for that as it was the parts supplied to us by our vendor that failed'. WHAT?? I, as a consumer, did not choose this vendor or parts! YOU did. I paid you for the project, you installed the parts, and you are who came out when the failed to function. I paid you, Semper Solaris, you ARE responsible to the consumer for the failing of your contracted vendors parts. Well, at least my neighbors saw with their own eyes the fiasco of working with Semper Solaris, and are steering away from working with them. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is beacuse at least now the system is finally working right, but what a long and tiring road to get here. Steer clear unless you enjoy long painful projects and needing to ride a company to the very end to make sure they do what they say they will.

Still looking at black tarp 6 mos. later

Semper installed our Enphase Battery Solar system in February 2024, and it is now the end of June and I am still looking at a large black tarp where Semper left it as they promised to repair roof tiles on my home. They have stopped answering my calls and have even blocked my access to their social media accounts.

Excellent Service!

Our system just went live, and I am very happy with it so far! The sales rep (Bernie Townley) was very friendly and professional, and answered all of our questions. The support team was excellent regarding communication, and answered all of our questions and kept us up to date on installation progress. Overall, I am very happy with Semper Solaris!

My experience with Raedene has been five star. She helped me with my Tesla Powerwalls. She's professional. She always takes her time with me and answers all my questions. She's always available for me. Raedene is Wonder Woman!

Simply the best!!!!

I didn't really think I needed solar because I thought my bill wasn't high enough. My bill was $90 a month on average and That wasn't to bad. Until one day I saw a commercial that hinted to me that PG&E's rates are always going up. So I decided to give solar a shot. I called several companies and none of them seemed to fit right. Some to pushy, some to expensive, and some that I just didn't like. Then I saw a Semper Solaris truck on the next street over and decided to make a call. Nicholas Afable was the guiys who showed up at my house. This guy was extremely friendly and very straight forward. The cost was way lower than most and the Panasonic panel is one of the best in the world. After speaking with my wife that evening, we decided to move forward with them. Everything went great after that. The system was installed and the city signed off on it. My PG&E bill is practically gone now and PG&E owes me a bit as of right now. Nicholas continues to follow up with me to make sure everything is well. Check them out for sure.

My Solar Company rocks!!

I was in the market for a new roof and solar system when I saw a Semper Solaris TV commercial and decided to give them a call. Semper Solaris sent over Robert Alva senior Energy consultant whom was very courteous and knowledgeable about the solar system and roofing installation. My roof took a week to install by professional roof technicians following one day installation of solar panels. Both crews were very courteous and professional and kept the work site very clean of debris at the end of the work day. I would highly recommend calling semper Solaris and asking for Robert Alva for your roof and solar installation services.

Craig Kersey is the best!

Working with Craig Kersey made our solar and roof installation experience exceptional! From beginning to end he was always available and answered all of questions and eased any concerns we had. He’s extremely patient, thorough, kind and pretty funny. I’d highly recommend him and working with Semper Solaris.

Home owner

Insulation was fast and all 50 panels were installed in one day! We are very pleased with the results!

Lack of accountability

The solar panels were installed 3 months ago however the company has not been able to get the city’s approval because according to the information I got today after several calls , the city has my single family home as an apartment. I had tried to communicate with anybody by phone to ask what I have to do to resolve this inconvenient but it has not been possible.

Anyone interested in going solar should do it. Semper Solaris is the company you should choose. They were very affordable, professional, friendly, and timely. We have saved so much going to solar. Our knowledgeable salesman chose perfectly the amount of panels we needed. Staff all the way through has been really helpful. Unfortunately we are moving but I would say that having solar really helped sell the house. Nobody wants to pay the electric companies more than they have to. We are going to put solar panels on our next house and will most definitely be using Semper Solaris again.

SunPower solar installed by Semper Solaris

I have had my solar electric installed for 13 months now. Couldnt be happier with Solar. Although I gave it a 5 star rating, it was not without incedent. However, Semper Solaris cusotemr serive is excellent and they took care of everything very quickly. Our sales man, Mark Ivory, was excelleent and was not pushy. I came to him when I was ready to buy and he did the rest. Sum Power panels are the best and they are producing even more than what the salesman told us (but he did tell us that might be the case).

Wonderful company

Semper Solaris installed my solar and did a wonderful job. Dave Shanholtzer helped me with my solar system I did not know anything about solar. He did a good job and the crew that installed were wonderful. Thanks so much I put the system in Dave's hands and I feel he did a wonderful job and at a very good price

I purchased my home a few years ago and noticed a spike in electricity costs during the summer months. This is my first time owning a home with a pool and didn’t think it would effect my electricity bill too much. Then I realized having a pool made my home the “go to” hang out spot and entertaining guests became a second job. My AC is in full gear most days and my teenage boys have friends over constantly. I finally decided to consider alternative options to save money and become more environmentally friendly. I met with Kurt Vangelisti and he analyzed my electricity bill in detail. He is very professional and answered all of my questions. He’s extremely knowledgeable and really listened and addressed all of my concerns. If you are considering solar, talk to Kurt. Billie Yako was our Customer Care Officer and we ( My Wife and I ) , are so impressed with Semper Solaris's due diligence in insuring that they have such a Professional, Friendly individual like Billie handling and caring for their customer's . It truly made the Solar System Install the most painless home improvement that we have ever considered. We both hope to hear that Billie was promoted to Management in the near future ...... Custmer Service Jessica from Semper Solaris was awesome

Jessica Robertson is a sales specialist working for Semper Solaris. I worked with her to design my solar panels. Though I am still yet to find an affordable package, I would like to mention that Jessica was patient in listening to all my questions and if I was not comfortable with any package, she would always be willing to come up with another option with a better price or power. She will never get upset or show dissatisfaction even if I reject her proposal. Her communicaton skills are great and she would always get back to check on what my solar needs are or my comfortable zone and then try to come up with another option. Though in the end even if I refused to go with them, I was quite happy with her service and her quick turnaround for any solution. She is and will be a great asset to whichever company she works for. I definitely recommend her. I am sure she will do a good job for her company and I wish her all the best

Best Decision made...going with Semper over others

We contracted with another comnpany first who failed us at every turn. Semper was amazing. Their rep David K. was available to us from quote to completion. Thank you David and Semper. Thrilled to be on solar with a Tesla battery and most grateful to have power through these black outs.

My Experience!

I had been thinking about getting solar panels installed for a while now and never knew which company to go with. I spent a while calling different companies trying to see what they offer and I'm very glad I went with Sempar Solaris! I was lucky to have Billie as my project coordinator she helped me out tremendously! Not only was she very communicative and ready to answer all my questions thoroughly she also understood that I was on a time crunch to get the tax credit for this year! Billie walked me through step by step and didn't leave me with any unanswered questions and concerns! Even when we had a problem arise she assured me it would be taking care of and it was. She was very knowledgeable and confident in her work. Semper is the best company to work with I will recommend them to all my family and friends. Solar Review

I contacted Semper Solaris after hearing them on the radio. I had looked into solar a couple of years ago but the numbers didn't look that great. I decided to have another look after hearing some friends say that it has gotten more affordable. Semper sent Bernie T out and we walked through my power use and different ways to get a solar system. I decided on a purchase and I am now paying less per month on my soolar paymant than I was paying the utility. Thanks Semper! You guys did a great job!

Great experience, solid customer service

I don't often make big-ticket purchases, and investing in solar is definitely a commitment. For me, it's not just the quality of the product, but I have to feel comfortable and trust the people doing the job. And Semper Solaris nailed it 150%. Rhami Hasenin, my consultant, came out to the house and explained to me everything I needed to know about making my decision. He was patient every step of the way and fielded every question I could think of. And then when I thought of more and emailed him, his response time was fantastic. I had contacted several other solar companies as well, and most of them didn't respond or follow-up in any way. It was a really easy decision for me to go with Semper Solaris. The installation was very fast, done in one day, and I felt like I was part of the process. I signed off on the panel layout, and was walked through the process of what would happen next. They took care of all the SDG&E coordination, which was huge for me! And when all was said and done, they set me up with a monitoring app so I could make sure that my energy usage didn't exceed my generation. And they do a 30-day and 1-year system audit to make sure that things continue to work smoothly. So just end-to-end, a great experience.
