I am a retired homeowner on a fixed income and I'm tired of my SDGE bill skyrocketing during the summer and winter months. After comparing many good solar companies, I decided on Rhami and Semper Solaris. Rhami was very knowledgeable and really took the time to explain the entire process to me. I have called Rhami with many questions along the 7 week process and he answered my calls or got back to me that same day even after I signed the contract which means a great deal to me. Very impressed! He is always polite and professional and I really feel like he cares about my project. These guys really have great customer service and everyone I've dealt with from Semper Solaris has been great! The solar installation took 1 day and the crew was neat and picked up after themselves. They even answered my questions as they prepared to do the installation. Thank you Semper Solaris!

Solar and roof installation

I recently have had Semper Solaris install a new roof and solar system on my house. I would like to take this opportunity to express what a pleasure it was to have Ms. L. Poirier, the Semper Solaris representative present the companies approach to installing a new roof and solar panels. Ms. Laura Poirier demonstrated an in-depth knowledge of removal of our old roof including all of the precautions that the company would take as well as provided us a wide selection of roofing options including a description of their respective advantages and disadvantages. Ms. Poirier went over the stages of the of the roof installation process and how long each stage would take. The roofers who were assigned to the job were a marvel of efficiency and approached their demanding work with a goal toward early completion the roof. Before we selected Semper Solaris as our contractor my wife and I had talked to several roofers/solar installers and not one of the roof/solar presentations matched her professionalism and in-depth familiarity with roof/solar products available. Ms. Poirier’s presentation was thoughtfully put together and surprisingly included samples and stage models of interim products for clear visualization of staged work products. It was truly impressive. Each of Ms. Poirier’s view graphs was put together with great care with an intent to demonstrate how the company and its personnel knew every facet of their business and truly deserved our consideration. I have been an electronics/system engineer for the US Navy for over 47 years and I can unequivocally state that Ms. L Poirier’s presentation was one of the best presentations that I have ever seen, and in my career as a Command and Control systems engineer for the US Navy I have participated in a lot of presentations for proposed government contracts. After Ms. Poitier’s presentation we were absolutely convinced without a doubt that we had found the contractor we were looking for.

Great at first; then poor job completion

Planning and installation were fast and efficient. BUT my reason for getting solar was that I have ordered an all electric car, so the plan was always to have an EV outlet. Semper STILL have not returned to fit that, 2 months after the initial installation and when I call them I get a total run around ("needed to reapply for a permit" or "job was wrongly marked as having been completed"). Which excuse is it? And now they are saying another 2-4 weeks. A friend who used a different company had her solar and EV outlet all installed together. Why couldn't Semper do that, too?

Beginning to be concerned

We had a great salesman, not pressure, information. Shopping for Tesla Powerwall. He warned that a delay should be expected due to chip issue. We received several reassurring calls in the first two months. Then, nothing 2 months until a letter with the County approval. A few weeks later a call about ready to start install in one week. Installers had challenges as plans were not the exact deal. They worked five days arriving about 10-10:30 daily driving from El Cajon. On "completion" I noticed one battery had no green light visible and the electrician tried trouble-shooting but stated he would return next day 11/16. There has been not final signing and not sure if he got the WiFi connected. We are patient and would like some communication. 11/19/21. Willing to give five stars if the communication improves now.

Kris Morgan at Semper Solaris was extremely professional. He explained the process of what it would take to plan out my Solar System, while other companies did not have the time. He was very knowledgeable and communicated the whole way through. He answered every question I had along the way. I am thrilled with my choice to go with Semper Solaris, and happy Kris was my contact throughout the process. I would recommend him to anyone interested in a Solar System.

Amazing service

This company was very good to my family and me. They installed my solar in a timely manner and it all works. Nick Afable was the rep that helped us. The main reason I signed with them is because he was honest about certain thing that other companies failed to mention. I would recommend doing your own due dilligence but this is an exceptional company hands down.

Solar Dream

Six months ago I purchased a home in S. California, Inland Empire, and have done a lot of work to pretty it up inside and out and also to cut down my expenses. A friend who is quite savvy recommended a great way to cut expenses on my home was to take a look at going solar to save on a big expense, electricity. My good friend who I trust told me to talk to Semper Solaris because they built a solar system for him that he raves about. I had heard about Semper before but I also found out they have a stellar reputation. I checked Yelp, Better Business Bureau and other sites and I could not find a negative word about the company. I like to research a company before I invite them into my house. My wife is a tough cookie so I told her to call Semper for information. A very personable young man, Blake Lewow came to talk with us. We found out the company is owned by former Marines and they have many Veterans that work there. That put us at ease from the getgo! The system he recommended and I purchased was 100 % American made and all work, every phase, was done by Semper, not a sub contractor which is very rare I found out. The whole process from start to finish was 3 weeks. I can not say enough about Blake Lewow and Semper Solaris. Absolute pleasure, the whole experience. Bad micro inverter (panel)

We had our solar and roof installed July of 2022. Clean, fast and courteous. 1 panel went out May 25 2024 and here we are Aug 02 20203 and we still have 1 panel not working. Bad customer service to get some one out to replace or repair the panel. Email after email, no date of when we can get this resolved. Been paying for all panels monthly as usual. Will we not billed the months we have been without that panel, I think not. I should have read reviews or researched this better.

Price was good and it made sense. Still, I’m skeptical so I was still worried how the process would be. You know, after everything, I didn’t really do much and everything turned out great. Thank you guys for doing a great job. Looking back now, I wish I had done it sooner.

City of Highland Install

The people were great, as was the install. The communication between Semper Solaris and Southern California Edison was extremely quick, as it was allowed to be turned on in 2.5 days. The install looked great and the cleanup was impeccable. The unit has lots of built-in features and a good app (though my rate plan isn't in it). I am very pleased.

Last Visit

Mark Ivory was the Semper Solaris rep with whom we dealt. He was superb. He was professional, brief, yet very thorough. He had us sold from the start and the results were exactly as he had said they would be. This is an extraordinary company and Mark is a terrific rep for them. We are completely satisfied with what was done….on time, professional roofers, and a superb system. Our neighbors chatted with him the next day and are now proud owners of a system as well. I really recommend this company and Mark to start you off on the right foot: no pressure, just performance!!!

Semper Solaris

From the beginning w/ Anela to the design and install the process was awesome. Every question I had was answered quickly and clearly. I had a few adjustments that my HOA required and they were all taken care of without question or difficulty from the Semper design or install team.

Solar Panel Installation

Just a note of Thanks to Mark Ivory for the install of addition panels to my existing solar array. All aspects of the project were completed as promised. From the first meeting to the install completion, every step was done with a professional attitude and with the client-me- foremost in the equation. We are turned on, making power and saving money. Semper Solaris was an excellent choice for us

We used Semper Solaris. Genevieve Johnson was great to work with (Genevieve.johnson@sempersolaris.com). So happy with the work! We put in enough panels to power our electric cars. Saving $300 a month on gas, run the air conditioning all summer, and still only paying the same monthly amount for the loan that we were already paying SDGE. Makes great financial sense.

Great solar company that is straight forward to deal with

I refer all of my California business to Gary Phillips at Semper Solaris. The hones/ straight forward approach that so many companies don’t have is what drew me to Semper Solaris. Gary had been a great rep and all of my clients have thanked me for sending them that way. I would highly recommend giving this company and this rep a call before working with anyone else.

Semper Solaris earned my 5 STAR rating

With the ALWAYS AVAILABLE TO HELP assistance of Rhami Hasenin, my Semper Solaris salesperson, my solar electric system was installed and operable in just 6-1/2 weeks with most of the time being spent waiting for permits. Yesterday, just 8 weeks after I signed the contract, the final approval from SDG&E was received and the system is now fully operational. Being a degreed Electrical Engineer who retired as Director of Operations from an energy management company, I’m not exactly an easy guy to please. When one of the design changes that I wanted did not “fit the mold”, Semper connected me with their Director of Engineering and together we worked out the solution. Being a veteran myself, I’m pleased to give Semper, a veteran owned and operated company, my business. They absolutely earned my 5 STAR rating.

Great !

Amazing! It all started with Semper Solaris' consultant Genevieve Johnson. She did a house call, answered all my questions and processed the loan application. It was so easy; No pressure. It got better...I was immediately assigned a project manager & team. An assessment technician checked out the roof then all the magic started happening. I think the lead installer was Adam (i hope I got his name right). He and his team were so nice and respectful of our home. The permit, inspection, and the connection to SDG&E happened without a hitch. I'm in a cul d sac and some of my neighbors never noticed Semper Solaris was here Everything went Smoothly.Thank you also to Veronica, Vinny, & Mark whom I also spoke with. My consultant Genevieve, didn't disapear after the initial housecall. She made herself available at all steps of the process. Thank you Semper Solaris for your focus on Quality Customer Service! We are looking forward to turning on the AC without worrying about the utility bill.

Not Dependable

My husband & I purchased a Semper Solar System & signed the financial paperwork on 08/12/22. After Semper Solaris did the Application for SMUD, which was Approved 11/03/22. SMUD had been waiting for “Inverter Function Settings” with no response starting 11/3/22 through 03/02/23. My husband & I had to get a hold of SMUD Solar Team beginning 12/19/22 to find out the status of getting SMUD to install the Solar Meter to get things finished. SMUD was still waiting on Semper Solaris to provide “Inverter Function Settings” to SMUD since 11/03/22 through 3/08/23. When we had contacted the office in Sacramento, calls were not returned. We finally decided to contact the “Corporate Office for Semper Solaris” 3/02/23 who ended up getting the reading sent to SMUD that was needed by SMUD. The readings were updated on 3/08/23. “SMUD Solar Team” came out to Inspect & install Power Production Meter 3/24/23. SMUD had to wait 4 months and 3 weeks on “Semper Solaris Solar” to provide them with the information needed to finish our project. Once Semper Solaris received their money for the solar we purchased, it seemed they putting us on the back burner. We are the ones that had to get in contact with SMUD & the Corporate Office of Semper Solaris we were trying to find out what was being done to complete our project. For our Solar we purchased on 08/12/22, took a total of 7 ½ months to finally be completed. If you ask us, that is way too long to keep your customers waiting. If I had to do it over again, I would not choose Semper Solaris.

Excellent Company

After extensive research, we chose Semper Solaris as our solar provider because of the many professional endorsements and positive customer reviews that we read. We are very happy that we made this decision, as Semper Solaris was great to work with, the people were very helpful and friendly, and the work they did was timely and perfect in every way. The Sun Power panels we bought were the very best available anywhere, and Semper Solaris, at the time, was SunPowers largest customer. Their after-sale support is excellent. They are totally focused on on being the best, serving their customers and making sure they are happy. We are very, very satisfied with Semper Solaris and have recommended them to our friends and neighbors.

Solid Job!

First thing is... why did I wait so long?! Met with 8 companies and had Semper last, thankfully. Robert Cassidy was hands down the most informed Expert we met. Installation was 21 days from agreement. Thank you Semper!
