Customers Be Aware!

Purelight Power began my project nearly a year ago. They have since told me just 1 more week working on about 20 times now. Nothing has changed, they got the building design wrong and took months to figure out what they did wrong, they left ugly ass hardware with no panel on my roof because they put one in the wrong spot and didn't pretty it up when they were done. They have told me all these great things and not followed through AT ALL. This is almost a year and this garbage still isn't active. I can't get in touch with anyone now and it's been a few weeks since they have contacted me back after it was supposed to be 1 week before activation again. Now, let's get to the worst of it. I bought this system because one of their sales reps Shawn Amann guaranteed me that I'd be getting 30% of my solar system back on taxes no matter what so that I could roll it back into the loan before 2025 to lower my payment. Well, the system was $66,000 and 30% of that is definitely more than $3,200. Shawn Amann will lie to you so he can sell his product. He did it to me, now I'm out power generation and almost $20,000. My good friend is a 25 year tax prep agent at H&R Block, he said that there is not a tax credit that pays you for solar at all, instead, it is used to lower your tax liability. You WILL NOT GET 30% back in cash! If you didn't make any money the year you are trying to claim it, you get next to nothing. DO NOT LISTEN TO THESE REPS! They don't give a damn about you or your family, they just want their money and to be done with you. I will get my money back, and Purelight Power will get their hardware back..... This was a nasty fucking lie

Innacurate Tax Credit Information, Contractual Failures

Purelight needs to train their employees in the basic rudimentary information of what the company provides and how it fulfills every customer contract. This training would allow an employee to provide the customer with accurate, detailed information regarding the solar system install, accurate tax credit information and how the system will integrate with the power company. Every employee, including management, that we dealt with through our install had no idea what was going on or what was in our contractual agreement. We ended up having to get our attorneys involved in order for Purelight to fulfill their contract. The "Pass the Buck" is strong with this company and we will not recommend the company to any of our contractors or when considering future solar installs.

Really fishy practices

So I did NOT get solar through Purelight after the quote and beginning steps. First off, their designer forgot to put the mounts and conduit etc on the quote so suddenly my $101,000 quote is $137,000 (they agreed to knock it down to $115,000 which prevented them from losing money). Then they trained the sales guy (who was a very decent guy to be fair!) to tell us that we'll get that 30% tax credit in the form of a check. If you don't pay the 30% in principal to Good Leap (their preferred financing) in 18 months (not even 2 tax cycles) then my payments would go up $175/month. Then, after having the solar backup talked up...it's another $15,000 or something to get that. Meanwhile, I got a quote for the EXACT SAME SYSTEM from a small local contractor...$67,000. Sadly, I don't get solar at all yet because my adjusted gross income as a small business owner doesn't help me on the loan side of things (except through Good Leap at nearly 100% markup!)... These practices are shady at best and quite honestly...potentially illegal. Steer clear of these guys Do NOT finance with Good Leap Do NOT believe that your 30% tax credit comes as a check. It offsets your tax liability and reduces what you owe the IRS...and that's from my cpa!

I set up an appt. With a couple of sales man at a festival in Redmond over the weekend. The appt. Was set up for Wednesday June 7th at 8:00 am. They www supposed to contact me the day before, I heard nothing. Today is Wednesday June 7th, 2:00 pm. I haven't heard from anyone. I called there Medford office because they said they we're from Medford. I an disappointed they couldn't Keep there scheduled appt. I am not interested in doing business with a company that can't even follow up. Based on this I am concerned about the information I provided to make this consultation.

Bad service no communication

It's been 5 months and not yet operational. That would be bad enough, but they wanted 50% down and the rest on installation of the panels. At that time nothing was wired up to the grid. Weeks went by and after two trips and no power for most of a day the wiring was done but not operational. More time went by and then finally MidAmerican Energy came out for a five-minute test to see if it would work. At that time we were informed it would be another month or two maybe more before the meter was changed and it put in service. I would not recommend this company under any circumstances.
