Plan It Solar (aka Sierra Solar)

I had Plan It Solar come to my home in Placer County to give me a quote. The sales person was so nice and knowledgable compared to other companies I called. I decided to go with Plan It Solar. Plan It Solar came and installed a 6 kW system in my home and I have been very happy with the results. I really appreciate the work of Plan It Solar.

They tried to charge for a visit that is under warranty. Now they just won't make an appointment to check out a system that is not functioning properly,

They were great. They actually ended up saving me a couple thousand dollars before the project was over. They completed the entire installation in 2 days when they had scheduled a week. Their installation team is very professional and top notch. I would recommend them without hesitation. We are still waiting for PG&E to change meters. This was a great experience and we are very pleased with the outcome.

My experience with Sierra Solar was excellent. They were very professional and experienced in the industry. They thoroughly evaluated our goals and options and came up with a workable solution, handled the permitting and rebate paperwork flawlessly. I have added 4 additional PVC panels on the roof assembly that was designed for such an option, and purchased a Sunny Island and 4-800 pound Hawker batteries. I am currently configuring the garage for the installation. Sierra Solar personel were very helpful in both explaining the utility programs and government tax benefits as well as being very supportive in any required paperwork.

Sierra solar provided the equipment and designed the system. I installed it using contractors I hired. Due to equipment supply shortages it was necessary to subsitute some components. Sierra solar did needed the redesign work without charge and honored the per-KW equipment prices in their bid. Also the work they did to help me apply for building permits and rebates was significant and much appreciated.

Very good training given - half day classes provided - books - hands on, prior customer site visits, etc. Very good pre-decision information provided. Some of the delays were because of boundry line adjustment/permit delays. Ground mount Rocks vs trenching issues were under estimated at first causing minor delay. Can`t check the above boxes as requested, but I listened to AL Gore and believe him. That is why we did the solar installation.

We signed the contract and made a deposit on 8-13-2007, expecting the installation to be completed by mid-November. It was completed on January 3, 2008. No harm resulted from this delay, it was simply somewhat irritating.

I liked how easy it was to get a site visit from the installer and the sales person. The installers were very professsional and the wiring layout was clean and neat. The sales team was quick to respond to my many questions without makeing me feel dumb. And I didn`t have to do any of the paper work. I will use Sierra Solar again when I go to increase my system size next year. Geart Job. I got solar PV because I was tired of waiting for the utility company to provide clean energy for the masses. And just as inportant it made economical sence to set the cost of energy rather than wait for the cost of energy to continue to rise every year more and more.This way after the system pays for it self in ten years I get free power rather than a 100% incrased power bill over the same period.

Of the several solar pv companies we contacted Sierra Solar was the most professional and by far the most experienced. Adopting renewable energy was a no-brainer after the debacle of energy shortages in CA and having to bail PG&E out of their mis-management. And now with the state reducing it`s purchasing of `dirty power` (electricity produced by coal) electricity costs to the consumer will skyrocket.

Great service - great products - extremly reliable - love the system - thanks! i`m firmly committed to renewables but it is imperative that state tax incentives are increased.
