TERRIBLE - THE ABSOLUTE WORST

They legitimately strung us along for OVER A YEAR... we signed the contract in February of 2021.... We had an energy audit scheduled for next week...this was scheduled a month ago. We just got a call today, April 2022, to ask us how we're feeling about our project being cancelled... UM, WE HAD NO IDEA OUR PROJECT WAS CANCELLED. WASTE OF SO MUCH TIME. Garbage company. Garbage. The worst customer service. The worst communication. In the year+ that we "worked" with them, we had more than 7 different sales people on our project. So disappointed.

Buyer beware!

First off my salesmen quit right after I signed up and then I was handed a Project manager named Caleb Wilson. After I signed the contract months went by and I had to cal to find out when my panels would be installed. 15 months later find out I was not given the proper paperwork or even told tit was my responsibility to apply, I didn't even know where to sign up for PA energy credits. So I lost a few hundred dollars because the year ended and I can no longer apply for 2021. I am still in the process of applying and come to find out Certificate for Completion wasn't signed by the utility company Peco. Great job project manger Caleb or their the so called state department at Momentum. Repeatedly asked to talk to a supervisor and no one returns your call. They have made the sale and now it's a ghost town. I wouldn't choose this company again even if they gave me the panels for free. The entire process has been a struggle. Please look into another company if you are interested in solar panel and save yourself the headache. Do your homework and I should have know better to find out they are a LLC. Get the feeling Momentum does this all the time with limited liability.

Everything happened is the timeframe promised. From the salesperson to the project manager, Momentum inspectors and installation crew, everything ran smoothly and on schedule. A painless way to help save the environment for future generations. Added plus, the savings over the life of the contract are staggering!

ALMOST PERFECT

I have been trying to reconcile my Duke energy bill with my Enphase production app. Momentum helped me tally a range of dates to compare with my Duke Energy bill. The problem is there is a set of data that is not available from either source; the energy I produce and USE from my solar panels. Without this data I cannot reconcile the two sources. I sent my Duke Energy bills for the last year to Momentum hoping that they could help me with the reconciliation. Apparently they could not.

Love our panels!!! Love NOT having to pay the electric company every month. The team was very efficient...explained what was happening at every stage of the process (it seemed to take too long for me, but that was because of the city's delays not Momentum). Time to start looking for a battery wall...

Great Company But They Could Do Better

The process from signing the initial contract to actually having my solar system active and producing energy took roughly 4 months. Most of that time was waiting on the bureaucracy of local government and energy provider regulations. There was a slight hick-up with the install that Momentum was able to remedy in a timely fashion. Overall so far I am happy with my system. I do have some questions. It would have been nice for Momentum to involve me in the design of my solar system which would have shown the reason why they installed the panels in the manner that they did. This would have prevented questions about why they didn't do it this way or that way. Would they have not been able to fit more panels on the sunniest side of the home if they had installed them in such a way? Involvement would keep the questions and guesswork to a minimum. Instead, they didn't and now I have some questions that need to be answered.

Waiting on results

The installation process took longer than expected but everything is now complete. I am satisfied with the quality of the panels and the workers that installed the system. I especially want to give a big thank you to Ray McMillan, he was my go-to person when I had questions and concerns. Now the wait is on to see just how much the system can save on our electric bill. Think that will take a couple of months to have any indication. That will be the proof of good or bad investment.

Politicians got involved!

Our Momentum Solar array has now been active for ten months. The installation is very clean and was done in a professional manner. Unfortunately the Florida electric utility companies lobbyist own the Florida legislature and as of January 1st have raised the rate for a two way electric meter. At this point in time the legislature is trying to pass a law that would decrease at least, if not end the utilities paying for roof top generation into the grid. The 2022 legislation session ends March first. Many questionable amendments are attached to Bills in the last 48 hours of every yearly session. Florida's roof top solar industry might end this year.

Amazing Service and Employees!

I had 22 LG panels installed (7.7 KW). It was a very pleasant experience with Momentum Solar. They also installed a new roof for us as ours was too old to put the panels on. They matched the pricing for the roof and were able to price the solar panels at a very reasonable amount. These panels also save a lot of money on our electic bill and were soo worth it! They were super helpful answering every question I have (and I ask A LOT of questions) and resolved all problems during installation in a very fast and efficient way. They also worked with an electricity company that was quite difficult to cooperate with but they were able to manage and help us with tha as well. they were a huge help and very understanidn and prompt with everything. We are very happy to have Momentum as our Solar provider. We recommend Momentum Solar to everyone interested or thinking about getting Solar panels.

great system, install took longer than I thought it would, due to permit issues, not momentum's fault. FP&L bill dropped by even more than estimated!

Have had my solar system for 3 years. It is producing 97% of consumption annually. Had some installer problems with the installation, but they finally got it right. Then they were responsive to two post-install problems, Have had no problems in the last two years. Satisfied with the system.

Mixed feelings but very satisfied with Momentum Solar

We have had our system installed since a year ago last October. We have been extremely satisfied with the system. We have only paid the basic connection fee since. Which brings up an interesting point, Duke Energy, our energy supplier, has received approval and begun adding a fee, for nothing, to our basic fee to bring that amount up to $30 before taxes and additional fees. Their response to the additional fee is they needed that additional revenue to provide adequate services to everyone. That changed our normal monthly charge from $24 to $44. If they don't get you one way they will get you another way.

We Love Momentum Solar

we love our solar, I love having the reduced power bill. It also seemed to help reduce the amount we need to cool and heat our house since the panels were installed. Great service.

Super Shady - do NOT RECCOEMEND

Absolutely most annoying company to work with. DO NOT WORK WITH MOMENTUM SOLAR!!!!!!! Sales came to the house with a contract for 25K. Assumed the price was in the appropriate range so we signed because there was a three day cancellation policy. Immediately afterwards we found prices between 15 - 20 K, from small local companies to nationwide providers. We called back and asked why the price was so high. Our sales person "forgot" that we don't have any trees in our yard and that the price could be just 20K. He said would write up the 20K contract for us and also have written confirmation that we would not be on the hook for the 25K price tag. However we received absolutely no further communication - no new contract at 20K and no written confirmation that we would not be charged for the 25K. Today we got a call back from the office and it was just 30 minutes of badgering. At one point I had to interrupt him repeatedly just to have him confirm that the contract was cancelled. he just kept asking me questions so I told him I would continue the conversation after we had written confirmation that the contract was cancelled. STILL NO WRITTEN CONFIRMATION. I will probably need to call back and sit through another sales pitch - or contact a lawyer. Momentum is overpriced and super shady. Everyone should take their business elsewhere.

From the first conversation until the panels were installed, the Momentum team made the process seamless. They were very patient in answering my questions and concerns. I would highly recommend them.

MOST UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY

Had occasion to interact with this unprofessional company. 1. First time, a sales rep came to my house and promised to send me the quote, which he never did. When I called them back someone answered promised to send it, hope you all understood, I am still waiting. 2. After few months last week got a call from this unprofessional company, confirming the appointment today at 9AM. No one shows (expected), when I called they said, oh, it was scheduled for 10AM. They don't keep their promises. One may want to rethink

Momentum Solar will try to take advantage of you!

Do not purchase solar panels through momentum solar! They will likely try to price gouge you, incorrectly estimate your energy usage, and take advantage of you as much as possible. A sales rep, Omar Sham, came to my home and discussed adding solar panels to my house. He did the electricity usage calculations based on only two months of my energy usage, which makes no sense; it is best practice to use 1 year's worth of energy usage. He then began to oversell the solar system promising that I would be saving money and not needing to pay electricity bills; unfortunately, I believed him, and I ended up paying the same electricity bill AND the monthly payments for the solar panel loan (roughly $180 per month from $90 per month before panels). The sales rep promised a 30-year warranty on the installation, and when I received a copy of the signed documents, it only had a 10-year warranty. The price I paid for a 4.9kw system was $22,224.85. This is more than DOUBLE the average cost for a 4.9kw system at the time. After reaching out several times to support, they had a slow response time and acknowledged that I paid more than the average cost and tried to give me a discount on added solar panels to reduce my electricity bills to zero. This would have been fine, but their discounted rate was 6,650.00 for a 1.9kw addition, which is still far above the average cost per kW, and they did not offer any financing options (required cash payment). Overall, Momentum solar uses shady sales tactics to pressure unsuspecting homeowners to purchase solar panels that are way over market price; they overpromise and under deliver. Please do not purchase panels from Momentum Solar.

I should have done my homework and checked out Momemtum!

I bought a Momentum Solar System and I think I have a quality system even though it does NOT produce the savings I anticipated. From the very start I found Momentum to be unresponsive to my questions - and they still are. They did not perform the installation I was told to expect and their installers were not prepared to perform that installation. They cost me $700 extra money by having me have some trees removed, even checked the before installation to be sure the trees were down. Then their installation was not even close to any shadow those trees produced. I have asked them for info regarding why FPL credits me for only about half what their system shows is being produced - NO RESPONSE!

Signed contract and was approved for my house to go solar. Prior to entering in contract I had trees close to house removed/trim. During negotiations sales agent confirmed (as indicated in thier paper work) that if additional tree cut was needed company would do it. However, when it came time to fulfill this agreement company renaged on pledge and instead tried to convince me that adding Additional panels and turning them a different way would solve shade problems. Definately was not a good experience and off course I cancelled as this was a bait and switch operation.

Misleaders

be careful with the pricing and promises they made. they charge more they mislead with pricing and they never meet the promised or committed saving of power bill to me.

Scammers

This solar panel company is a fraud, they do not fully disclose what you are getting into and promise you savings that will never materialize. Their sales tactics are aggressive and deliberate. I regret having ever dealt with them and having their system installed on my home. I am now stuck with this horrendous lease and cannot sell my home for another three years because they have a hidden clause that states you cannot payoff the owed amount of the system until 5 years after it is installed. The salesmen are TRAINED LIARS who leave out important details of what you are getting into and cannot reverse after you enter into the agreement. I am a disabled veteran who now has this albatross around his neck for the next 23 years. Please do not deal with these people, if you see them coming run!!!!!! -Ralph Velez U.S. Army DV Ret.

Solar panel installation

Momentum Solar team came and installed the cells on the roof. The electric team did the installation same time. They worked very fast and professionally. Very happy with the work.

This company is sucks and there sales man doesn’t know what the hell they’re doin!I suppose to get 20 panels and they could install only 16 panels cuz this company could not install on my roof funny!Im still paying between solar and electric company around almost $220 month and I never pay that much before btw I have gas in my house not all electric so this company doesn’t know what the hell they’re doin so please guys do your search first and will not recommend this company at all to anybody very bad experience
