Great savings and good quality!

From start to finish this company has been good. It started with our salesperson, she was professional, knowledgeable, and she had such personality. Each step in the process went smoothly. We just had our install and are ready to get up and running. The roof was done and panels installed. We are ready to start collecting energy. Momentum Solar you did very good. Thank you for being a reputable solar company.

Worth the wait

Despite the whole COVID delays on conact with, and getting county inspectors out. It is working and seems to be making pretty close to my usage oh Kwh.

It's fine. It's OK, no major issues

So far so good. I only wish I had dug deeper into the whole "production vs. utilization" numbers, because the salesperson wasn't clear about that. A residential battery addition would have made my entire setup far more useful. But as it is, it's fine. In summer, lots of credits get sold back to the grid, which heavily subsidizes my PECO electric bill (though it's never less than $10, because PECO is greedy regardless of what we do to use less energy).

My system works great; however, I'd like to receive more information about maintenance and cleaning.

I wasn't sure about solar initially but after some detailed explanation from the sales team at momentum, it seemed like a no-brainer. So far, my systems have been producing well and I've saved money!

ALMOST PERFECT

I have been trying to reconcile my Duke energy bill with my Enphase production app. Momentum helped me tally a range of dates to compare with my Duke Energy bill. The problem is there is a set of data that is not available from either source; the energy I produce and USE from my solar panels. Without this data I cannot reconcile the two sources. I sent my Duke Energy bills for the last year to Momentum hoping that they could help me with the reconciliation. Apparently they could not.

Great Company But They Could Do Better

The process from signing the initial contract to actually having my solar system active and producing energy took roughly 4 months. Most of that time was waiting on the bureaucracy of local government and energy provider regulations. There was a slight hick-up with the install that Momentum was able to remedy in a timely fashion. Overall so far I am happy with my system. I do have some questions. It would have been nice for Momentum to involve me in the design of my solar system which would have shown the reason why they installed the panels in the manner that they did. This would have prevented questions about why they didn't do it this way or that way. Would they have not been able to fit more panels on the sunniest side of the home if they had installed them in such a way? Involvement would keep the questions and guesswork to a minimum. Instead, they didn't and now I have some questions that need to be answered.

Waiting on results

The installation process took longer than expected but everything is now complete. I am satisfied with the quality of the panels and the workers that installed the system. I especially want to give a big thank you to Ray McMillan, he was my go-to person when I had questions and concerns. Now the wait is on to see just how much the system can save on our electric bill. Think that will take a couple of months to have any indication. That will be the proof of good or bad investment.

Have had my solar system for 3 years. It is producing 97% of consumption annually. Had some installer problems with the installation, but they finally got it right. Then they were responsive to two post-install problems, Have had no problems in the last two years. Satisfied with the system.

Thus far, the panels work excellently. Momentum did a good job with estimating the number of panels I'd need to relatively have a zero electrical use from the grid. There were installation problems, however. They did not coordinate well with the roofing contractor, so installation of the panels was delayed. The installers were completely befuddled by my Generac generator and the transfer switch. Many, many, many problems associated with this. After the group came to run the conduit through my attic, the house wreaked of pipe cement so strong that I couldn't stay in the house the night of the installation. Had I been warned, this would not have been so bad since the smell was completely gone within 48 hours, but it was a bit disconcerting at first. So, you may be asking, "With all of these issues, how do you justify the 4 - star rating?" The answer is that the Momentum customer care bent over backwards to resolve all of these issues, and did so promptly. Not only did they apologize profusely, all problems were addressed in a timely fashion. And thus far, one year in, the panels work exactly as promised.

We are doing good saving money and protecting the environment. Momentum Solar install great products and the system is stable.

Overall the experience was great. One thing I wish I had known was other options that could have been paired with my solar install. I found out after the fact, batteries are not the only extra with solar installations. I found out that I could have had a consumption meter installed so that I was aware of what I was using versus production and accurately detail what was going to the grid. The equipment for that was not offered on install. Even when I asked about it after the install was completed, I was told it would be checked on. I got very little information in return. I got a quote for it, yes. Via email. But very little information was given to me about getting that extra equipment ordered and installed. Great company but sometimes the follow up could be better.

I would give 5 stars...

The installation was quick and excellent. I would give 5 stars if the followup process with the inspection was completed in a timely manner. It's been two months after the installation has been completed and I still have not received the confirmation that all inspections are done.

A no-brainer

Very skeptical going into home meeting, after 2 hour question and answer session it was it was a no-brainer. I am a firm believer of it something is too good to be true it is but everything I've researched about this proves me wrong.

Easy install from start to finish

I was really happy with the process for solar panel sign up & install. Everything went very smoothly with little work from my end and am overall happy with the final product and the process as a whole. However, the initial information inquiring about solar energy felt a little pushy like "used car sales" tactics and it didn't feel like pricing was very transparent. I was quoted a fixed price and a tax credit of "XXXX dollars" before we even knew how many panels or how much equipment was going to be needed for my roof. Overall happy and hope the deal holds up.

Design is great but had to call guys back out because stove and microwave had no power and since then I have noticed master bedroom closet light is not working

Quite satisfied so far

I have a four because there’s always room for growth and improvement as well as my system hasn’t been energized yet. That said staff that I’ve dealt with have all been courteous, friendly and polite. Any responses to questions I’ve had were done in a professional and timely manner.

If the price is in a range that you can pay

Not quite as good as advertised and it might have to do with a design change that I did not approve but going solar is still worth the investment for me.

I loved it. Now I see more homes in my neighborhood getting it.

I saw other homes in the neighborhood having them and asked questions on Nextdoor. Everyone said nice things about their solar powered so I decided to give it a try. It also makes me feel good that I'm helping our environment by not using so much electricity.

Solar in residential homes is a great idea.

I was looking for a way to reduce my energy costs and found Momentum online. Two sales reps came out (one was in training.) While the meeting was lengthy it went well and the two reps were personable and professional. I signed up that night. I was "persuaded" to provide three referrals for future solar jobs. After getting permission from my three referrals I submitted their names and phone numbers. The installation of my solar system went well and I have no complaints at all with the quality of the panels and installation. The final inspection of the new meter took a while ( I think due to my being in a particular Florida county.) After all was said and done the system did work correctly and I saw immediate savings. Back to the referrals. The first name I offered also signed up and actually had their larger installation installed and turned on before me. (They live in a different Florida county.) I was sent a referral check which was very nice! The second referral decided to wait a while before signing up. When he actually did want to go ahead with his project - the sales rep was difficult to contact and did not return calls. Apparently she left the company. So my friend found another phone number online and got another sales person. He too signed up and had a system installed in his home. He mentioned that I had originally referred him. That fact seemed to have been lost somewhere. I never got the referral fee from Momentum for my second referral. Overall - I am glad I did the project and think that Solar is the way to go in Florida.

Ahead of the solar technology with separate micro inverters. Future development for battery backup when now batteries are expensive and technology not there yet. Sales person was informative and knew his product well. Numbers made sense and looking to stay in this property.

When presented with the proposal, it was a no brainer!

When I first purchased my Solar, I was promised that my FPL cost would be around $10.00 monthly. After the first several months, my FPL invoice was over $100.00. When I called to explain my situation, I was told that i have to wait until the system catches up and the FPL invoice will change. It's been over 1 year and my FLP invoice is still high. Whomever estimated the number of Solar panels required for my home, was incorrect. How do I go about getting this corrected so my FPL invoice is lowered? I believe I need more Solar Panels added to my house to remedy my situation. Looking forward to hearing back from someone.
