I got $5 electricity bill from PSE&G since installation! This is the best home improvement project ever done. Thanks to Momentum! The project manager Mike he is always there to help and guide us through the entire process.

Financing Bait & Switch. Huge Buyer's Remorse.

The most recent bad review is right in line with my experience, and I'm in Florida. Everyone we worked with said the tax rebates would be enough to cover the amoritization and that simply wasn't the case. There have been no monthly savings, no yearly savings and now that's only set to get worse. Having Momentum installed has been, *by far* the worst homeowner decision we have ever made. Less than 0 benefit - this has been a huge detriment.

It's fine. It's OK, no major issues

So far so good. I only wish I had dug deeper into the whole "production vs. utilization" numbers, because the salesperson wasn't clear about that. A residential battery addition would have made my entire setup far more useful. But as it is, it's fine. In summer, lots of credits get sold back to the grid, which heavily subsidizes my PECO electric bill (though it's never less than $10, because PECO is greedy regardless of what we do to use less energy).

Salesman was not familiar with Texas rebates

While everything went Smoothly for installation. The amortization is now due with Finance company and appears that the Texas rebate they talked about was never done. The finance company they use state, "oh you get breaks on your federal taxes" So now the price is going up "We are reaching out to remind you that your Incentive Investment Payment, which is equal 25-30% of your loan amount"

Good company

So far, everything is working well, and we're enjoying the negative electricity bills! We hope to build up a credit balance to see us through the summer when AC use is high. Momentum has been very responsive to our occasional service requests, and seems to be a good company to work with.

Amazing service and pricing!!!! I had a few solar companies come out and try selling me no name panels and at double to cost! Momentum was able to get the solar panels I wanted and helped build a system that works!!! Bye bye electric bill and hello savings!

Solar vs Gas and the Grid

I switched to solar in october, installed a mini-split system for heat and cooling, which works off of electricity and my winter costs dropped from $850/month to $140/month. With the longer Spring/Summer days, that figure will drop considerably and carry over into to the next winter season. I love solar. Unsure of the panel brand.

Craig was our sales rep and he was FABULOUS! Very informative, extremely nice and welcoming. My husband and I had a lot of questions and he did well answering them all honestly. We did have some hiccups after we signed the contract, and I have to be true to myself and my home with my reviews. In addition to a solar panels, we also agreed to have Momentum install a new roof. I understand now that after we signed our contracts the company experienced a divide between solar and roofing departments; Although contracts should be agreed upon all terms, that's where the hiccups lie. The team came to install the roof and overall they were clean and worked diligently! A project predicted to complete in two days they achieved in one day with a terrible storm brewing in the day of. They used a tarp all along our house to catch most of the nails; It's impossible to catch them all but they would very mindful. A week later our solar panels were installed and the team drilled their latter to our brand. new. roof... in the front of our garage. After they were done, someone filled the hole with tar and proceeded to step in it, having the tar goop out of the shingles and the black tar could be seen from the sidewalk of our home. It looks disgusting. So we complained and man came out on a Saturday to repair the damage. His way was rectifying the problem was simply pouring colored sand over the black tar, creating a very lumpy after look which could also be seen from far away. We were not given extra shingles when the roof was installed, so I asked nicely if it would be any trouble to replace the shingle, after he asked for our honest opinion. He thought we went back inside our home, however he walked to his car and screamed on the TOP of his lungs how he "WANTS TO GO HOME!!" and then screamed again because he got tar on the fabric of his car seats. I leaned into view and made eye contact with this unprofessional man. He went to home depot and never came back to our home. no phone call or anything. Four days later another team came out with the wrong color shingle and attempted to convince my husband that they did in fact have the correct one. So they went to home depot to look for our shingle... never came back nor did we get a call. ONE. WEEK. LATER.... I insisted talking to our project manager, because my husband was talking back and forth and getting no where with this guy. I find out through customer service( Very friendly girl) the project manager never documented ANY of our conversations we had with him. I've asked to speak to managers and honestly, I haven't. This company seems to be the non-confrontational type. This back and forth nonsense went on for 2.5 weeks. I know this because the company scheduled our county inspection and I asked that the shingle be repaired beforehand. This shingle FINALLY was replaced one day prior of my county inspection. The manager who repaired the shingle told my husband he fixed a handful of other shingles because the same tar messy appearance were all over the roof! Unbelievable... not entirely sure if solar roof or solar panel department is fully responsible but i am thankful of that mans honesty. The project passed inspection from the county; apparently our electric company drags their feet to switch the meters, can't be anymore dreadful that the run around this month has been. I'm giving the overall project a four star because Craig was fantastic and the gentlemen who came and talked to us about the roofing material was professional too! The lady I spoke with in customer service CC'd every email she thought would be helpful, and I value her professionalism as well. Im disappointed with the management team, yall leave disgruntled clients left to talk with your customer service team even when they ask to speak with someone higher up. Do better with confrontation and following up on concerns. There are also other terms we agreed too within our contract that has not yet been reflected. All in all, the entirety could have been avoided had people worked on communication and transparency. Also, cleaning up after yourself on our roof and NOT drilling into peoples shingles. New or old.

Momentum Solar - Best Customer Service Experience Ever!

Momentum Solar installed our solar panels three (3) years ago. They handled the entire process for us from analyzing solar panel placement on our roof to maximize performance, permitting, installation, inspections and activation. Their Team was so courteous, always let me know when they would be arriving, what they would be doing and cleaning up at the end of the job. And now, even with an electric pool pump operating 24-7, my FPL bill this month was only $15.47!!! I love this!!! I highly recommend Momentum Solar.

As Promised

Overall, very good. I was one of the original ground mount customers and Momentum speced the system and installed it soup to nuts at the quoted price. I doubted the salesman's ROI estimates, but that too was accurate. Installed August 2016 the system had paid for itself in full by early 2021. I consider it the best home investment I have ever made. As of now, I have practically no electric bill ($4.95 for line usage) and it generates roughly $3,500 a year in SREC sales. If I have a complaint, it is the inverters used as they have a high failure rate and while they are covered by warranty, the older the system gets, the longer it takes to replace the failed inverters.

The Momentum installation crew showed up early in the morning and worked steadily through the day to complete our panel re-installation. They are a bunch of friendly and very hard workers. All went well, except for one panel's inverter not reporting. It turned out to be a bad cable harness that was diagnosed and fixed by a couple of Momentum electricians within a week of the re-installation. We are very happy to be part of the Momentum Solar family.

My system works great; however, I'd like to receive more information about maintenance and cleaning.

Thrilled with our Solar Panels!

Very happy with everyone we worked with in getting our solar panels installed. It was so exciting to see that first electric bill with the only charge being the electric service charge. Looking forward to harnessing the sun’s energy this summer to avoid those high bills that would normally come in that time of year. The only thing we’re still waiting for is getting consumption meters installed. Wish that came standard. We didn’t know consumption meters were available until after the system was installed. That should be an option upfront.

A Great Experience

Our system went "Live" on 3 Feb 2022. So far we've done quite well. Feb & Mar energy bills were $0 for electricity, with a considerable amount "banked.". We're starting to operate our AC a bit now, so we'll see. I teamed up a SENSE monitor, and the results of these two systems has been superb. I can tell when electricity is going to each device in our home and whether the electric is coming from the city grid or from the solar panels. It's been a real treat. I always know exacty how much energy the panels are producing, and it's in real time. In fact I'd highly recommend that Momentum install the SENSE device in every home on which you install solar. What a great bonus it would be for customers - something beyond your excellent service to distinguish you from the myriad other solar companies out there. Talk about a business moat!

I wasn't sure about solar initially but after some detailed explanation from the sales team at momentum, it seemed like a no-brainer. So far, my systems have been producing well and I've saved money!

From the consultation, to installation, Momentum Solar took care of everything. They asked for my input during installation, ensuring I will be happy with where the panels were being installed, more centered and not off center on the roof, to how the conduit was routed from the panels, more out of view from the front of the home, for a cleaner look overall. I’m looking forward to the savings and even looking into the battery pack system to get the full benefits of the solar panels & system. I’m so glad we made the decision to do this & so glad of the great friends that referred us to Momentum Solar!

Poor choice

There has been complete lack of communication with homeowner, as roofing prices and scheduling were both changed without warning or notice, and permit from the City has been a nine month wait due to inaccurate plan submissions, and changes in the application, again without notification or warning to the homeowner. My wife wants to uninstall the panels, and donate them to Habitat For Humanity since they were installed without proper permits, and therefore illegal. Attempts at contact for concerns and resolutions remains unanswered. Our system remains unenergized!
