Savings?
I was told/sold on the premise that all my electricial needs would be covered by my panels and my PSEG bill would be $25-30 month. Well for the summer months it was, but for the past 4 months I have been paying (solar loan and pseg) as much as or more then my pseg bill was before I had the panels installed. So basically the made the # of panels cost look like I would save money every month. I have sent multiple emails to the company ( momentum) and multiple texts to my sales rep. They don’t even have the professionalism to engage me

Find someone else
I'm in Rhode Island and maybe they are so new here that they don't list RI and don't follow RI's requirements for Renewable Energy Refunds. I like the people I worked with but it doesn't excuse that they - blew the 2024 install date so had couldn't get the 2024 Federal tax credit ($5,000), their - terrible inter-departmental comunications - Design team (panel design for house) seemed to repeatedly insist I use their first design and not the revised design - turned out that NO PANEL DESIGN THEY did QUALIFIED for RI Renewable Energy Fund after 5 (yes five) sales, operations and project management people told me I would "absolutely" get the cash-in-hand rebate ($4,500). NOPE - Bringing this to their attention (and the sr sale rep did help do this), they gave me $1000 saying they would lose money if they gave me more. - and today, I again received their apology that no one knew RI's requirements "because these things change" along with yet another wrong or incomplete idea of non-qualified. - I do believe their actual product and install is good quality Overall, I would skip this company. Big headache, over and over again. Others like Isaksen seem much more together and able to deliver what they say they will though I've never worked with them and know only that their website seems pretty good.

Smart enough to say no, but too nice not to have wasted my time
Vague description from canvas employee led to what was supposed to be 30-60 minutes explanation of Solar System they offered. Ended up being 2 hours sales pitch trying to bash the utilities company, estimate an inflation model, propose a more affordable one and finally push for urgency to sign today for big discount. In the end I learned they lease equipment for solar and own part of your property. They charge you for power close to what the utility already does. Equipment has warranty for faults but not damage incurred. I am looking at getting Solar, but companies like these make it easy to get started and I can see who ends up profiting.

Hyped selling
Scheduled a meeting with a Momentum Solar Rep. He made great effort to educate me about why solar offers consumers savings which was interesting and informative. When I asked for a Proposal that could be left with me for consideration the Rep refused and acted as though he expected me to simply sign up without time given to review all terms. Thia is an old fashioned sales tactic that is dangerous and not in the best interest of the public good.

Get your solar panels elsewhere
I originally posted how happy I was with the process. Almost within days this has turned from an exciting new addition to an utter and complete nightmare. Do not sign with them!!!!!! I made the decision to move forward and almost instantly I changed my mind from financing to paying out in cash. So the original contract was cancelled, I signed a new contract for a price and put down 10% down payment. Then I woke up to paper work from the a bank saying my financing was pushed through. But they financed my loan for a different amount that I signed for, a different production amount that I signed for, they have kept my 10% down payment in cash as if I was paying in cash. I have called numerous times and I get nowhere with them. They do not honor what they have signed, and when I have called numerous times each time I am promised someone will call me within 24 hours. No one calls! Stay away from momentum solar!

We have had severe thunder and lighting storms here and as a result the emphase and the sense readings stoped working. When I open the apps I am told that both are offline I attempted to connect with no success. I have in contact with Momtum solar in New Jersey for the last two weeks and I feel that I getting a round around. Now they tell me they want $300.00 to come out to service my problem. That is insane as I am a disabled Vietman vet. I was the first one in my neighborhood to go solar an 4 others followed. I will not recommend Momtum solar to anyone. There are a hand full of Solar companies down here to recommend

We need our referral money
It is sad that I have to come on this platform to express how appalled, disappointed and frustrated I am with Momentum Solar. My wife and I installed solar through Momentum. The sales person, Michael, was great. After installation, we were encouraged to make referrals and was assured that we would be compensated. We referred our friends who got solar installed a few months ago. Unfortunately, we are still waiting for our check. Was told 3 months ago to expect a check in 2 weeks; still waiting!!! I am seriously contemplating having the solar removed and advise my friends to do the same. I will not beg for money we deserve. My white friends got their money already. Come on Momentum! Do the right thing!!!!! My name is Mr. Springer, and my number is 9739864861.

Bad customer service
In my particular case, the agreement with Momentum Solar was signed on the 19th of October. A detailed warranty was missing from the paper package I received from the sales person, so I asked to have it the next day. I had been directed by the sales person to call the company’s main phone, which I did several times. The average wait time for each call was 45 minutes with another 20 minutes of being forwarded to a project manager instead of simply letting me have a written warranty (text, mail, fax or any other way) he blamed long waiting time on the phone on Florida’s Hurricane’ damages – while I’m in Texas. The same day, I decided to cancel my agreement, based on poor service. The contract included a 3 day cancelation time which I used by signing the cancelation page and emailed it to the address that appeared on the contract. As part of this 3 day cancelation, I was supposed to be refunded in full the first payment, paid at the contract signature, in 10 business days. To ensure the cancelation I called again and waited an hour on the phone to be directed to a project manager that tried to convince me to continue with the project. I rejected all the offers and asked to be refunded. To make a long story short, I received my refund on November 7th after opening a dispute investigation through my Credit Card Company and start of a consumer complaint at the Office of the Attorney General of Texas. Since I got my money back (with a lot of hard feelings with this company) I cancelled my complaint and stopped the dispute process. I will not tell any of you, the customers, to do or not business with Momentum solar company since each one can make his own choices and make his own decision. As for myself, I do not consider this company as a good and trusted one for my solar project.

Poor Follow up and inexperience personal
Momentum has been a mixed bag with quality of product, workmanship, support and now the lowest in my estimate as it's all about talk, no action and lack of commonsense. I' will like to expand my solar system and only get promises and nothing happens! I have a complete system including Battery backup. They have very few people in this company that knows what is going on, so they are no longer recommended!

Cannot Complete System to Contract!
I signed my contract on November 19, 2021, and had a contracted completion date of April 2022 to have my system activated. That already seemed like a long amount of time but due to the cold, snowy winters in CT, I agreed because it wouldn't have been possible to have my roof & panels installed with icy conditions. My roof was completed on February 16, 2022 after multiple phone calls to schedule and two last minute cancellations. I then had to chase the company around for weeks until they finally installed my panels on March 3, 2022. After my panels were installed, I had two men show up at my house on two different occasions completely unannounced, surprising me while I was working, which was inconvenient but ok. It is now almost June 2022 & my system STILL has not been activated. I'm being told that this is due to a production meter backorder; however, two different neighbors on my street who signed their contracts with competing companies AFTER I signed mine with Momentum have BOTH been activated with no problem. This week, I spoke to my consultant and his manager and was informed that this "backorder" may last "up to 40 more weeks." THAT IS TEN MONTHS AWAY. That would make my projected activation date March 2023, almost a YEAR outside of my contract & 16 months after signing my contract. This is unacceptable and I am about ready to tell them to come remove the panels from my property so I can go with one of the other companies my neighbors have used seamlessly. Very disappointed and beyond frustrated.

Not what I was promised
Like others here, I was promised to reduce my electricity bill to only the fees from the electric company because my solar system was going to produce enough energy that it'll send the excessive back to the grid. However that is not true. Since I installed the service only one time I was able to produce more than I was consuming. Right now it's being months since I haven't produced enough and always end up paying around 100 to the electric company. With 30 panels that were recommended by the seller and doing all the math with the bills from the grid before going solar it was making sense to go solar. But now I don't see any improvement at all. Living in Florida where it's always sunny you will expect to produce enough energy but I guess I was wrong. And like others are saying. You call customer support and they never answer and if they do then they will contact you withing 2 to 3 business days. We don't have any extra appliances other than the essentials, fridge, stove, w/d, and AC. No huge TVs, only one gaming console that is used only during the weekends (if the kids earn it to play). Two computers not on all the time. I understand that the high energy consumption will come from the AC and the water heater but other than that it's a regular house. I'm very disappointing of the service and now stuck with a 24 year contract since it has been a year already. If you are thinking on going solar and have a friend or now someone who is an electrician have him sit with you and the sales person. He will ask more technical questions that are not answer with honesty.

Customer Service
Momentum Solar This is going to be a complete review of the company Momentum Solar. I will be just and honest with the review. At the beginning of the year, we decided to go solar. We contacted Momentum Solar and we made an appointment with Mr. Rodney Williams (Solar Consultant) who gave us a good orientation even though, I did my research beforehand. The system they wanted to install was the Micro Inverters but I decided for the string inverters with the Sunny Boys inverters and having the option of drawing power if the grid goes down. We contracted Momentum Solar for the Solar System installation. The installation crew was amazing and they knew what they were doing. The installation was completed, and we were just waiting for the county to approve the installation, and the electric company to install the NET meter. Everything was approved and Momentum Solar sent two employees to fire up the system. All good, everything running as plan, first bill came in and since then I have been paying only the fees and other charges that the electrical company charge every household. I wrote an email to the Customer Service Department on May 9, 2018 because the contract arrangements have not been fulfilled. They told us that Momentum Solar will be monitoring the system to determine if the system is fully functional or if something was wrong. They also told us that we will be able to monitor the system from the panel and with an app. When the system was completed and fire up, no one explained to me how I was going to read the energy production, how I was going to monitor the system to make sure it was working, and how to get the app that they promise for me to monitor the system. Mrs. Gabrielle Maisto answered the email on May 10, 2018 and she advised me that she was trying to find a solution to my concern. She supposedly referred the email to service manager and she was waiting for him to respond. From that email, I have emailed her on June 10, July 17, and July 18. In the last email Mrs. Maisto asked me for clarification on my address. She wanted to know which address was mine because they had two different addresses with my name, so they could come and activate the system????? Mrs. Maisto, my solar system have been active and functioning since the beginning of the year. I only wrote one address on the contract papers. I am only inquiring or asking for your company Momentum Solar to grant and fulfill the contract arrangements and someone to come and show me how I read and monitor my solar system as your solar consultant Mr. Williams promised. Momentum Solar overall is a good company but their Customer Service and follow up on their client’s complaints are not so good. I give them a poor rating on that department.
