Worst!
I have ordered Solar Service via Momentum Solar and no follow up and no communication and no response. Such a bad decision to order the service from Momentum Solar. 1. They don't even spell you name correctly on their contract and asked them to change is many times. 2. When you request the information they don't response. 3. Project manager name Amanda Txxxx not respond email or text message which she recommand to do. 4. They only answer when they feel like it and lie to their customer. 5. PSEG already gave them answer and when I called PM Amanda pretend she did not know about and which she knew. 6. NJ Energy sent me few email about follow up something that they've request under my name. 7. I have contacted them via call and email still no answer about my cancellation status. 8. DO NOT ORDER solar via Momentum Solar. All they want is your money! It is not worth to talk with them.

Lying salesman
Salesman came promised a lot looked at our bill and said he would build us a system that we would never pay more than 200. Convinced me to put panels all over my brand new roof when I originally only wanted them in the back of the house but the extra panels would guarantee I would never pay another high bill to the electric company. They were right I only pay the electric company $5 a month but I pay momentum double what I was told I would pay a month for power and the price keeps going up. Save yourself the trouble and just pay the electric company cause either way the number you pay won’t change just the adress where u r sending it

THEY WILL NOT TAKE DOWN THE PANELS IF YOU NEED TO SELL!!!!
We have been having a hard time selling our home because no buyers want to assume our solar loan. So we talked to the loan company and they expressed that we could usually take the panels with us as other clients have done. MOMENTUM SOLAR SAID NO THEY WILL NOT TAKE THEM DOWN FOR US AND SOMEONE MUST ASSUME THE LOAN. This has left us in a real tough spot. There was no good explanation as to why! They just said they only do that when we need to reroof our home. Don't go with them!

Momentum Solar is a SCAM. They are an extremely dishonest compa
Salesman lied about everything. Said we'd get a $10 bill from FPL. That happened twice. We are getting $70 to $110 electric bills. We have a separate hot water system so they can't say it's that costing money. They also don't tell you that you have to buy a million dollar insurance policy to protect against you electric company. In theory, solar should work here in Florida but not with this companies apparently cheaply made panels. They say they will monitor your system and if there's a problem, will have someone there within 48 hours to fix it. We had 10 panels not working for 2 1/2 months and no one was here until I complained about our high electric bill. This entire company is a SCAM!

Momentum swindle the cutomers.
Momentum sales agents tell all lie to the customer before installation. They say everything is free, but after installation you see a large bill. They transfer the bill to a third party (Dividend Finance). After that you need to pay all the cost with high interest. Secondly, they tell you it reduce your electric bills and you need to pay only one bill, no separate bill for solar panel. In practice, I see my electric bill increased instead and on top of that I have to pay the installment for the loan. Now, If I call/email them their sales agent never respond. If you call to their customer service, they try to convivence you saying some false explanation. So, please be careful before dealing with them. And Nothing is Free!!!

Horrible customer service
Their roofing department lack in professionalism and integrity. Permit was pulled for the rook on Dec 31, 2019. Re-roof was scheduled to begin Jan 29th. They came once and started the roof. roof leak, failed inspection and more than a month later - no word from them. We call and email Momentum solar and get no response on emails. When we call we get the same response - waiting on the city to approved a revision of the permit - since Jan 29th..? I called the city twice to confirm that there is nothing lending on the City's side. They did confirm that the contractor needs to pay for the violation fee prior to the City approving anything else. Just lies, regretting the minute i let these people in my home.

Excellent company to do business with and happy to reveiw
I met with Matthew Mcgehee several times over the course of a few months while analyzing various solar providers and he was extremely knowledgable and professional. They answered a ton of questions (I am VP of a leading hotel company in charge of Architecture, Design & Construction) and never ran out of patience. I am highly recomending them as a company to do business with. I just got my first bill after a full month of solar panels in operation and it would normally be in the $150 - 250 range this time of year and it was only $8! I would be surprised if you could find a better, more honest company to do business with in the solar business in Austin. I interviewed 3 and the Momentum team - and Matt personally - were outstanding.

Exceptional Customer Service
This is a long read, but I promise it is worth it. I set up an appointment one evening to have a representative come to my house to discuss solar panels. Much to my surprise and displeasure, two gentleman showed up at my front door when I was only expecting one (please keep in mind I am a 30 year old female and live alone). The "30 minute consultation" lasted almost 2 hours and I told both men numerous times that I needed to leave but they did not seem deterred. The entire conversation, I was being pressured to sign things without being allowed to see them, and forced through the process and they would not take "no" for an answer. I took a day to digest the interaction, but still had a bad feeling in my gut, and decided to make a phone call to tell someone at the company so another person would not fall victim to these high pressure tactics and ensure that I did not sign a contract the night before. That is when I got the pleasure of meeting and working with Edwin Castaneda, the project manager. Within 2 minutes of telling him about my experience, he began to profusely apologize for how I was treated in my own home. I want to note that is was not your typical PR apology. It was a truly heartfelt and sincere apology. He gave it a personal edge which instantly made the knot in my gut go away. All my concerns were taken seriously and he IMMEDIATELY took action and brought my concerns up the ranks to prevent another person falling victim to this type of a sale. He continued to follow up with me over the next couple days to make sure all of my concerns were addressed. He told me if I ever decided to go use Momentum, I can contact him directly and he will handle it but he did NOT pressure me into keeping the contract. Can I attest one way or another about their solar panels or products? No, I can't. However, most people only share bad news, so I felt the need to take a moment to thank Edwin for his compassion, time and effort and going well above and beyond his job title to help a stranger on the other end of the phone. Thank you for all of your help and kind words. Momentum Solar is fortunate to have you on their team.

Reg Flag! Reg Flag! Red Flag!
I highly do NOT recommend this company [MOMENTUM SOLAR (PRO CUSTOM SOLAR LLC)]. MOMENTUM SOLAR (PRO CUSTOM SOLAR LLC). called me on a mass solicitation call; I typically don’t like any sales calls, but I did want solar panels installed on my house so I decided to stay connected on the call. Since they were the ones reaching out to me I thought this would be a _convenient_ situation for me as I did not have to go out and research a company nearby, They offered me to meet at 8am for a 30 minute appointment. I told them specifically that I had to be at work at 9am, but since the appointment was only 30 minutes, it would be fine on the timing with my 30 minute drive to work. I did ask the speaker about the timing and they had no worries about it. The next day while I was waiting for this person to show up, it was getting later and later. I called the company and it took a few minutes to get connected to someone. I finally did; he did not know the status of the person I was supposed to meet with and said he could research it. I told him,” nevermind, don’t bother showing up. I can’t waste more time waiting around for you guys to figure this out. I am leaving for work and you can call me back later.” At 8:28am, a woman called me saying that her representative was at my house, but it looked like no one was home. I told her that was right, I spoke to the other guy on the phone and told them not to bother showing up. The woman asked to reschedule. I told her I did not feel like I should because my trust in the company had already been broken. She insisted I re-schedule and offered a $100 inconvenience check. I really knew I could not trust them, but I was curious to know this price to have something to compare to the next quote I would get, so for that reason I very hesitantly accepted. I even was silent on the phone for a minute. The appointment was scheduled for the next day. The next guy was late. I already decided that I would not do business with them, and if he did not show up it was no skin off my back. This guy did have a representative call me to tell me he was running late, so at least I was not sitting around and waiting for him, I got to eat my breakfast in the time he was late. I could not shake the feeling of unease, so I signed a contract with a different company. Some days later I got the inconvenience check in the mail. I deposited the check. A few more days later, and the bank told me the check had bounced and they were charging me a fee. Why did they fight so hard to have me reschedule and not even honour the check to prove they could be trustworthy? DO NOT TRUST MOMENTUM SOLAR (PRO CUSTOM SOLAR LLC).

Not what I was promised
Like others here, I was promised to reduce my electricity bill to only the fees from the electric company because my solar system was going to produce enough energy that it'll send the excessive back to the grid. However that is not true. Since I installed the service only one time I was able to produce more than I was consuming. Right now it's being months since I haven't produced enough and always end up paying around 100 to the electric company. With 30 panels that were recommended by the seller and doing all the math with the bills from the grid before going solar it was making sense to go solar. But now I don't see any improvement at all. Living in Florida where it's always sunny you will expect to produce enough energy but I guess I was wrong. And like others are saying. You call customer support and they never answer and if they do then they will contact you withing 2 to 3 business days. We don't have any extra appliances other than the essentials, fridge, stove, w/d, and AC. No huge TVs, only one gaming console that is used only during the weekends (if the kids earn it to play). Two computers not on all the time. I understand that the high energy consumption will come from the AC and the water heater but other than that it's a regular house. I'm very disappointing of the service and now stuck with a 24 year contract since it has been a year already. If you are thinking on going solar and have a friend or now someone who is an electrician have him sit with you and the sales person. He will ask more technical questions that are not answer with honesty.

Absolute Liars......
Short and sweet.....The salesman lied to our face while sitting on my dinner table after repeatedly asking him the same questions. After calling the office in New Jersey for help, they told us the same thing. At the end of the day they all lied to us and now we are stuck with the solar panels. They will lie just to make the sale..It WILL show on your credit as a a liability, you WILL have to pay an additional liability insurance policy EVERY YEAR and you WILL have to make the electric payment PLUS the panels payments for at least the first 3 months, so make sure you're financially ready for that.. Hopefully we don't have to deal with any more surprises. We WILL NOT recommend.

Installation great!!! makes up for lacking in another area
Overall my experience has been very good probably closer to a 4.5. The installation team was fantastic!!! Very friendly, very neat and explained every detail. They also pushed through an onsite variance to the design plan which was requested several times the previously. My only critique is that the Momentum App to show progress just did not work. We did not get the design until 2:30 the afternoon before installations so we were scrambling to get corrections made. Even after installation the plan it shows is not what was done. The communication between sale, site visit and install could have been much better. System not up and running yet, needs the meter changed by FP&L but so far very happy other than the lack of communication mentioned.

Texas Friendly
The entire group at Momentum Solar (from sales, to schedulers, to sub-contractors, to installers) were extremely friendly and professional. The install went smoothly and there were no major issues. It did take longer than I expected it to but I think that is due to my location and the time of year that we had them installed. The work areas always looked clean when the workers were done and they were all respectful of our property and home. Still waiting on the panels to be energize, and I am really excited to get my geek on with the app. Thanks to the entire team that got us from in the red on electric bills to green for the environment.

They arrived on time and the installer was very knowledgeable with the questions that I asked. The installation finished quicker than I thought. I usually like to provide a little bit of criticism about the service, and the only thing I could think of was the helpers were not that friendly. They had no smiles and I didn’t feel comfortable approaching any of them if I did have any questions. The main installer who greeted me and talked with me about the system was very friendly and explained how everything worked. Note to workers: Thank you very much for your hard work.

More Than You'd Expect
Customers often report bad more than good, because our environment has developed to that of a quick to fuss because something may be wrong or merely appear to be wrong, and then there's little time to compliment when a true compliment is due. As for the Buyer Beware comment: my contract clearly reflected that I had a separate warranty for all of the solar equipment; reading is fundamental. I assessed 9 solar companies in Austin over 2 months and several of them were great companies. They each had good and bad, but held solid reviews. On top of the company research, I researched panel and inverter quality, warranties, and pros and cons of eachto understand the investment I was about to make. I met with 4 of the 9 companies and opted for Momentum Solar. The sales rep Jake Stinson was extremely professional, but unfortunately, I already knew most of what he had to sell due to my research. However, Jake was able to get me the best price over the other 3 companies, so naturally I signed. Upon time for installation, Momentum Solar actually proved that 2 of the other 3 companies provided improper information regarding panel placement. Then by coincidence, the AC in my new home stopped working on the day I powered up my panels. The AC company claimed I had a power surge. Believing the surge was from my panels, I called Momentum and they sent out several electricians at a time convenient to me. Their master electrician, Brian Stilley, walked me through the electrical safety measures of my solar system and then provided me actual video footage of my AC fan motor surging power on start up. Who does that? Momentum Solar does that! With the video footage, I have now received a refund of my initial AC service call, and the AC company is replacing my faulty AC fan motor. And I received a solar system that was $7,000 cheaper than one of their competitors, with another $750 coming my way for a neighbor referral.

READ THE CONTRACT CAREFULLY!!! - The sales person said there is a 25 year warranty, but the contract states that the PV system (solar panels) are sold "AS IS" and if the system proves defective following purchase "YOU ASSUME THE ENTIRE COST OF ALL NECESSARY SERVICING OR REPAIR..." We exercised our right to cancel the agreement within three business days.
