Overall good except customer service

Nash has been so professional in all the dealings. Loan closure and installation happened as per our discussion. However the customer service has not reached out to me yet to show how to track the production, usage and TREC stuff. That's the only thing I felt bad about.

They lied!

The salesperson lied said we wouldn’t be paying anything for electric once installed, said we needed a new roof which we stupidly financed through them, now my bills are still over 100 a month plus the roof payment I’m not saving anything. Promised a Nest thermostat during the sales visit, never received it. Called regarding the bills continuing to be high and the person who took my call was very uninformed and could not answer why said she would call me back........nothing, no call back. Do not agree to anything from this sham of a company. My overall rating is really 0 stars.

A wonderful Solar Experience.

The service from inception to completion was exceptional. Momentum did all the work and now I can reap all the benefits. Thank you guys at Momentum Solar you are the best. Will not hesitate to recommend you.

THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!!!

Momentum Solar is the worst company for customer service. They promise you will save money, and then when you get bills continuously that you were told you wouldn't get, they do NOTHING about it. Twice I submitted bills, some over $150.00 (that was beside the monthly fee I paid to them), and was told they would analyze them and get back to me in 10 days. One month later no call back from them. Then I called them and was put on hold for a fortnight only to be sent to an extension where I couldn't leave a message because the mailbox was full. I have been receiving bills from PSE&G that I was told would never happen for over 2 years. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this company!!!!!!

Momentum as a company is Awesome since being a customer!

I chose this company in large part because of Rep Jason Olson. He provided exceptional information regarding the system in its entirety. I had planned to shop for this type of system since moving from California. Just wished I would have received the yard sign to be able to participate in the referral program. However, I promoted the system anyway since being in a new development so others would benefit as I have!

Great Service, Open Support Ticket

Outstanding service from start to completion of the project. The process couldn't have been smoother. Only currently giving four stars as I have had a $50 - $90 bill from Duke Energy the last three months. Our consumption hasn't been abnormal, however our system is no longer generating nearly as much energy as we are nearing winter solstice. We ran out of reserves a few months ago, so it appears we may have needed a slightly larger system. Momentum Support is working with me to review.

It has been almost a year, there has been no issue at all, I am very happy with the bill, only the first 2 month I have pay a little extra beside the loan, the rest of year has been free. The only thing is the loan could be better, the interest is rather high.

Awesome-Best in the business

Momentum Solar-Absolutely the best Solar installation company in the U.S.....I can say that because I had at least 7 companies competing for my business when I answered Solar power questions online and was overwhelmed with companies that tried to get me to buy their product. Momentum was different!...Their agent took the time to show my house using Google Earth with the proposed Solar panel arrays. They calculated and configured my arrays using my last 12 months electricity statements showing the amount of electricity I used. My total number of panels are calculated to provide me with 5% more electricity than I use. So nearly every day I am always producing more electricity than I use and returning that excess back into the grid, and this keeps growing each day. I ALWAYS have a negative monthly electric bill!....The other companies that showed up basically configured my home with alot of panels and promised me lower electric bills by 40% and etc...Also the technology Momentum uses are next generation panels that are NOT glass....they are a type of clear epoxy-resin covered panels which allow the individual Solar cells to receive the sunlight without having the tendency to crack or break like glass coated panels. Also the installation style places all wiring, cables and piping on the inside of the roof so your installation is very clean! Approximately 3 months after our panels were installed we had a severe hail storm and received direct his from ice cube size hail stones. No panel was damaged, and when I accessed the phone app to check the status of my system......all panels were at 100% production!......Lastly we have a 25 year complete waranty!.....Momentum is definitely a No-brainer!!! The BEST in the business!!

We had Carlos come to our house and explain the advantages of going solar and this man knew everything about solar energy. He answered every question we had. It makes me laugh that some people complain that they ruined my grass, really. If that is a major concern, then you cannot be pleased and not everything goes as planned. The process was very easy, they take care of everything and I save money. Win Win I believe

Actually a great experience start to finish

I am super shocked at some of the reviews here, it was a good thing I didn’t find this site before I had solar installed because my experience was completely different. I had my sales guy David come to my home where he explained how it all worked and answered all my questions. He was very upfront about everything and then when it was time for the installation, the guys were impressively professional, all pro equipment from the multiple trucks they use to the tools they use, it wasn’t cheap stuff. System looks great, love the black on black and no exposed conduit. Works great and everyone was spectacular! Highly recommend at least in Houston, TX

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY

Do NOT under any circumstances get solar with this company. We started our process with them August 6th 2020. It is now November 18th 2020 and our solar still has not been turned on. We are completely kept out of the loop, and if we do happen to be able to get ahold of anyone, no one has ANY idea what is going on with out project. First we had someone come out and inspect our roof, that person recommended we get a new roof on our detached garage before installing panels. They then sent another man out for a 2nd opinion who also agreed and showed me pictures indicating we needed a new roof. So I agreed and re-signed the contract to include the new roof that they would install. 2 weeks later a different department calls saying they want to install the panels the next day, and I said we were told we needed a new roof before installation. They put me on hold and said the "VP of roofing" disagreed and we could proceed without the new roof. I was VERY confused. Then the crew showed up the next day and all 8 of them agreed that I needed a new roof before they installed!!! I was FLOORED! It was pure insanity. I told them all to leave and talked to a project manager. They confirmed we indeed did not need a new roof and sent the crew back out a week later to install. The day they decided to install happened to be a torrential downpour and it took them 2 days to get them installed. They totally ruined my grass, broke the ceiling light in my garage, and destroyed my front porch with mud while the who crew huddled out there to escape the rain. The installers also were not able to connect the front and back house electrically, so I had to wait another 2 weeks for them to send out a professional electrician who had to drill through my roof and have ugly wires connecting the front and back house up in the air. Finally the panels were installed, I thought we were home free. THEN I get a surprise email from Momentum telling me that me and my husband need ONE MILLION DOLLAR personal liability insurance before they could turn on our solar. Something that was in the very fine print of the 45 page contract I had to sign 3 times due to their issues. This type of insurance isn't even covered by your normal home owners insurance so we had to get another 3rd party to and pay $500 dollars to get it. BUT that still was not then end of this nightmare. Next the city had to come out an approve of the installation job. The City showed up and DID NOT APPROVE of the way they had grounded the system. So they had to come back and do more work. At this point i thought we were also done but here I am on November 18th, 4 months of chaos later STILLLLLL with no solar turned on. I called Momentum again and they couldn't connect me to anyone to had any idea what was going on. do yourself a favor and NEVERRRRRRRRRRRR get solar with the company, It was a total nightmare and is still not over.

Should have read these reviews before buying

Salesman, Richard Hill, super pushy and flat out lied about what he was selling. From the "Net Metering" which isn't offered by my electric company, to the promise that if I wasn't satisfied they would remove the panels, to the amount of money I would save every month (growing 4% for the next 20 years). The 9/10th offset (ie 90% of the power I use will be from the solar panel) is actually 62% so far. I made no changes to anything going on. Actually raise the A/C two degrees hotter than before the panels. They based it off last years data...not sure how they calculated what they did. Put the panels in the front of the house as well, when they said the back of the house is all that was needed when I signed the documents. I thought I signed a loan application...turned out to be the actual loan - even though the rest of the inspections, to see if it was possible to give us the right amount of solar was possible, had not happened yet. He promised paper copies, instead he sent a link to the bank that had electronic copies. In reality, the electric company buys what I don't use during the day at half the price they charge me for the same amount of electricity - guaranteed loss! My electric bill for the first month was $100 dollars plus the $204 I have to pay for the panels. I have only had 1 $300 electric bill in my life - now I can expect them for the next 20 years. DO NOT buy what they are selling. Customer services is slow - "you are caller number 1 in the que and it still takes 15-20 minutes to get a hold of someone. If you request an automated call back, they never call. When I told them to remove the system they said "we can't we are just a sub-contractor for the bank". When I finally got a hold of Richards manager, he said "He was new at the time, I will make sure he gets some continuing education" - to late for me, I am told I am stuck in this "contract" where nothing they have promised is true. Furious doesn't even describe how I feel about being scammed like this. Record everything the salesperson says and get everything in writing. If they tell you tehy can't guarantee it, it is not worth buying!

Lousy customer service

Everything is wonderful until they get your money then they don’t reply to texts, phone calls or emails.

Worst Company to work with

There isn't much to talk about this company. They will call you come your home to get you solar. Once you start working they will give you incorrect quotes which they never agree on by saying we gave you incorrect pricing and we can't honor it. They keep doing the same until you agree to their price.

They need help but they got the job done

I have had some very mixed expeiences with Momentum Solar. Some are 5 star, and some are 1 star. They made many promises when I had the initial sales meeting that they simply did not keep. I had to call several times just to get them to push the paperwork though with my HOA, and I finally had to do it myself. Several of the phone consultants in the office never return phone calls, so your wasting time talking to anyone other than the project managers. When it came time to have it installed, the lead installer was an idiot, but his workers were great. I asked him to take pictures of the holes he was drilling into my roof and show me that they were properly caulked, and he looked at me like I had asked for the head of his firstborn child. But the other workers said no problem and took the pictures and sent them to me as a text. It's like the management has no brains, but the workers do. The one saving grace to my experience with Momentum Solar was one of their project managers named Edwin Castaneda. He was the only reason I did not cancel the contract. He bent over backwards to get the contract pushed through and get the job done. He even got a reimbursement check, for the out of pocket cost, their falling behind the original contract date cost me. He was excellent. They did a great job installing it, but what a hassle to get it installed. But now that I have had it installed for a few months I am very happy that I stayed the course and got it done. It is producing almost $40 more each month than my electric bill, so I have a surplus credit with TECO power. And I don't have to worry about my electric bill increasing each year.

solar panel dosen't function, customer service sucks

i chosed the system to help my electrical system exspecialy during the hot summer month here in tx and all i have seen is trouble and headaches. all customer service does is give you the run around, and when you ask for management they don't even answer. that what customer service tells me. No one has even show up to even try to fix the issues

do not believ them

use my roof to make money for them.Forge the signature and do not show contract after is to late. I think all customer should take Momentum to the court.

Garbage company

Absolutely the rudest people to work with. They do not care what the customer says & will fight with you until you are blue in the face. They just want their money & the customer can go blank themselves once those panels are up.

Not the truth

It’s a whole con game. They told me my bill will be less than my con Edison bill. In fact it’s way more than my con Ed bill. They twist the truth to get you on board. Now they are saying that you pay more during the summer months. Bologna, run when you see them coming
