We interviewed 5 solar companies and in the end decided on Longhorn Solar. Francisco and Jessica came to our home and gave a no bs consultation. They didnt try to sell us a bunch of stuff we didnt need. From the time we signed on the dotted line to the finish Eduardo, Jake, and Francesco did a fantastic job. We had to slow them down as they got all the requirements to install in record breaking time. The customer service we received was top notch. I was never left without a call back. Im very very pleased with our system and reccomend Longhorn to anyone looking to get solar!

Great Customer Service

I had my system installed back in June of 2016 and we are nothing but happy with it. Bryan K was our representative and took very good care of us. Our system was installed within a month of the paper work getting complete. Bryan K was very up front and transparent with the whole process. We shopped around and interviewed 3 other companies that all tried to pressure us into a contract deal to sign on site and Longhorn did nothing like this. They always communicated when thing were going to happen and Bryan continues to follow up with us to make sure everything is going smooth. Great customer service! I would highly recommend giving them a call over any other company's

Awesome company

Installed my SolarEdge 6.5kw system in 2015. Very pleased and very happy. My bill was cut in half for my all electric house. Rebates would only put panels on S and W sides of house. Plan on having Longhorn Solar add on so that I have the 9.5K i need on my house. They were very helpful working with the roofing company when my roof needed replacement.

Home Solar Install

Had an excellent experience with Bryan evaluating, designing, and installing our system. Everything was explained well, installation was completed rapidly and professionally. Ended up with a great system at a fair price with no hassles!

Longhorn Solar the best all around!

Bryan Kerr was professional and informative in giving us the necessary information regarding installation, costs, and savings. The savings he projected were almost spot on as he took great care in determining the placement of panels. Panels were installed when promised and have delivered as expected. Follow-up visits to check on how things were going were (and are) appreciated. Definitely a company to consider for solar installation. I would contract with Longhorn Solar again!

Solar Install

Great installation and customer support from start to finish! Very easy to understand the process and the company / representative was very easy to communicate with throughout the install. I also started earning credits in the second month of operation, so it is a quick return on investment.

Steve Petrik with Longhorn Solar has been a pleasure to work with. I had no solar knowledge and was comparing companies to determine who was the best to go with. Steve knows a lot and was able to help me compare warranties, watts, and overall prices. He works hard and helped us get our panels installed before year end. Even though we took awhile to decide and missed out on the big government rebates, Steve helped us determine how many panels would work now and into the future knowing that our family size and electrical usage would change over the years. Steve is committed to his work and will continue to monitor our solar into the future while other companies will probably just install and move onto the next client.

Steve is very knowledgeable about solar, the installation process, tax rebates, expected production, the whole nine yards. He answered all my questions, and even answered several I didn't know enough to ask. The installation went flawlessly and they were done in well under two days. I took the city longer to come out and inspect than it took Longhorn to install. Amazing! Months later when there was a glitch with equipment, Steve was right there handling the issue with the manufacturer and got things fixed quickly. Even though the problem was in no way the fault of Longhorn Solar, he still handled the problem fast! This particular system cuts my electric bill by about half, and it only gets better as electric rates increase over the years.

We love longhorn solar, and Steve Petrick was so helpful through the whole process. They show you how they get to the costs they are quoting you at, and explain every aspect of the install. I've loved how easy it is to get ahold of Steve when we have a question. Overall, the experience with longhorn solar has been wonderful and we reccomend them to anyone who asks us about solar.

Solar Power Savings

Steve Petrick has been our contact at Longhorn Solar since our installation in June, 2014. I can only say the service has been excellent. The installation was rapid and without any problem. The crew was polite, did not cause any disruption and cleaned up everything before they left. The system has always worked perfectly. In June of 2016, a hailstorm (ranging from golf ball to snowball size) struck our area and we had severe damage to our roof requiring a total replacement of the shingles. I called Longhorn and they sent someone out to check our system. He determined there was no damage and they then coordinated with my insurance company and the roofer to take down the system and reinstall it after the roof was repaired. No problems. We are saving about 65% of what our power bill would be without solar power and are extremely happy with our decision to install Solar Power.

Wow, that was easy!

From the first call to the walkthrough after the installation was complete, I barely had to do anything - Longhorn (and Mike Haas, specifically) delivered the goods. Mike was always helpful, as were others involved (including Kelli), and I never felt like there would be any problems...and there weren't! Thanks!

I had received my new electric bill in June and it was pushing $600. talked to the wife and we had to come up with something. So, we started looking into going solar. We did the research on all the different companies but Longhorn stood out. After calling and talking with Carmen a few times, we decided to go with them. Carmen made it very easy to understand how the solar panels work, installation, cost and the process from start to finish. the installers came out on time and were done my 3 pm -The electrician took a little longer, but still done by 5pm. Soon as he turned on the system I watched my meter star to go backwards....feeding back into the system. If I every more I will use Longhorn and Carmen again.

Great experience

I was originally considering another solar provider, but I figured I should at least compare one more option, and I'm glad I did. From the beginning, I always felt that Longhorn was willing to be straightforward with me. When I had questions or concerns, the result was a genuine conversation that helped me see the full picture, with never the slightest feeling that I was being read a scripted answer. And never the slightest feeling that there were any topics they wanted to avoid or gloss over. Longhorn also went out of their way repeatedly (thanks Mike Haas!) to research exactly how my city's solar policy works. If they had not done that, I could easily have installed a system that my city considers too big. Then (forever!) I would only get the commercial rate instead of the retail rate for any energy my system puts on the grid (a huge difference). I wouldn't say there was anything the other provider really did wrong, but it was pretty obvious that Longhorn was going the extra mile. By the end, it was my comfort level with Longhorn that made the final decision an easy one.

Outstanding Service

Usually, I expect to never hear from a company again, once they get their money and go. Not Longhorn Solar. Not only was the installation done professionally, on time, and on budget (with appropriate rebates and tax credits), but the process has been remarkably easy. In addition, followup has been spectacular, crunching the numbers with data from my bills, usage and electricity rate structures, to get the best possible delivery and buy back plan going forward. Not only are those issues being addressed in an ongoing fashion, but the company also managed a potential squirrel problem and assisted me in solving an unrelated minor roofing problem. The estimate was the only one I received that was respectful and conversational, without a hint of the high pressure I experienced elsewhere. In my first year, electricity cost less than $40 total for the entire year. I can recommend Longhorn Solar without reservation.

Smart Long-Term Investment

Longhorn Solar made the process painless, from beginning to end. Our sales rep, Kathy Millen, thoroughly explained the benefits of investing in solar. She made herself available and responded quickly to our inquiries during the entire process. It has been 8 months since our solar panels were installed, and I have not had to pay the electric company for any usage. Thank you Kathy!

We really are thoroughly pleased with our solar. Customer service excellent and service technicians prompt and efficient Panels have been producing almost double our need and this occuring during the winter season. It is paying for itself.

This company is the best!

We have had our system since early 2017. Longhorn has been with us every step of the way, from sales, design, install and even an upgrade to more panels. Fantastic Local Solar Specialist

We had a fantastic experience from start to finish with this local company. Brian, our consultant was extremely knowledgeable about our area and the rebates available. The layout ended up being a bit complex, but they made it work, and turned out great. Had some other quotes, but Longhorn was able to match and beat them, which I appreciated. Definitely recommend talking to them for solar installation, especially since they won't try to upsell you on things like windows or radiant barrier like other companies.
