Longhorn Solar Mission: To make solar accessible to anyone who desires it by providing the best products at the best prices and installation by the most qualified TEAM that exists. We achieve this mission by: 1. Doing extensive research on the products that we provide to give you the peace of mind that you are only seeing products with a Tier 1 rating and have been vetted for bank-ability. Bank-ability is important because a warranty from a company that is out of business is worth nothing. 2. Using our buying power to get the best price for the best production. There are some panels out there that claim to be a better product because of higher efficiency. Higher efficiency does not equal better. It equals more expensive. In the end, higher efficiency means they produce more electricity in a smaller space for a higher price. To make solar more accessible we have chosen slightly lower efficiency for a lower price. 3. Employing the highest trained staff in Texas. Longhorn Solar invests in training at every level. Currently, we employ several team members who hold NABCEP Solar certification in Texas. We are also one of the only companies to provide a 12 week training class for all of our new Account Managers. Good product overall
Solar panel privation is very good, had some problems with Solar Edge system that was finally fixed.

Great Responsive Company
System set-up went smoothly. However system failed within a month. Took a couple weeks for replacement of non-functioning parts. Once up and running, system is working, but so far have seen no difference in my electric bill. Verifying now if the fixing of the system took me offline with my electric company, they have no access to the energy I am producing.

Added panels
I would have liked to have had the opportunity to discuss panel layout since the new panels look different than our 1 year old panels. I did not realize the new panels would look different. I did not realize they changed so often. If I would have known ahead of time, I would have asked that all the new panels go on the backside and move old panels from the back to the front.

Here came the sun
I had been watching developments in Solar since the late 1970's. I was not able to install until now because of the high cost of panels. Also I did not want to store electricity in batteries, they were toxic when discarded and there was no recycling of the toxic materials for a long time. Now the price of panels are down, recycling has improved and we could feed energy to the grid. Longhorn solar staff updated our information, gave us many options to consider and once we decided, they install our system in less than 2 days. We have consistently about 50% of our electric bill reduced.

Company and sales person were excellent. Had a few manufacturer parts break, longhorn fix them in a timely manner. Energy saving are were as advertised. Would do business again, and referred others. CS

Follow up support
My wife and I had some follow up questions on our solar panels. The same morning I was going to call Dylan sent me a follow up email. He listened to our concerns and came out the same morning to check our system. Dylan answered all of our questions. He also made sure our system was working properly. Scheduling glitches, but good end result
My experience was similar to the one described in sleepy guy's review. Rex did a good job of advising me on a system for my house, and he was very responsive to my questions. After getting an HOA approval letter and forwarding it to Longhorn Solar, I got a call from Adam to schedule an installation date. That morning came, but nobody showed up. I called Adam, and he said that I wasn't on his schedule for that day. So we scheduled it for a couple of days later, but once again, nobody showed up. The installation happened the following week while I was away at work. I thought I needed to be home for the installation because a network cable had to be run into my house for the monitoring service. It turned out the network cable is a last step after the system is running. I wish I had known this. Instead, I worried unnecessarily about trying to be home for the installation of the panels. In any case, I feel like they should have called if the installation wasn't going to happen as scheduled. I'm happy with the end result. The panels look nice, the system is working well, and the monitoring feature is really cool!

Looking Good
Everything went well. . Installation, setup and turn-on. Worksite was kept in good order and there was no indication that the installation was in process except for the panels being installed on the roof. Good job.

solar panels installation and satisfaction review....
Our house is all electric. The subsidies given by our electric company and Longhorn Solar credits and Federal tax credits, made it a no brainer to install solar. Our electric bill has decreased about 40% per month...exactly what Longhorn predicted. I am VERY satisfied with the panels. Longhorn has been very professional with excellent follow-up... Dr O.
