Solar Panel Installation Experience

The process was very professional, well defined, and thorough. The salesperson, Dylan Eckersley, was very courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. He was very upfront when I would make some suggestions that were not in my best interest. After the sale he visited our system to verify that it was working and in good order. In fact all of the personnel were exceptional.

Would I do it all over again...Yes!

Working with Longhorn Solar in San Antonio was very easy. And yes, as I stated above, I would do it all over again. Things started off right when talking to my account manager, Dylan. He was helpful and timely with answers to questions and avoided the hard sell approach. They entire team was responsive and helpful throughout the planning, installation and now maintenance of our new system. They even worked a major issue with CPS for me when we decided we needed to make a change...all without any push back! And yes, I am saving money on my electricity bill. Granted it is the middle of summer in south Texas. My estimate compared to last year, which was just as hot and we were running the A/C, I saved well over $100 just this month alone. Thanks Longhorn Solar...I would do it again!

Awesome experience!!

The overall experience was awesome. From start to finish Dylan provided answers to all the questions we had. He never made us feel like he was trying to sell us something, but provided all the information to help with the decision. I appreciated the fact there was no pressure to buy anything. The time frame he provided spot on. The installers came in and completed the work. We are very please with the energy output from our solar panel system.

Exceptional Service

From the moment I contacted Longhorn Solar the experience has been wonderful. Dylan not only provided exceptional sales and product information but his customer service has been outstanding. My husband and I had long considered the possibility of alternative power solutions to offset the ever rising cost of living. Solar Panels

I am very pleased with the installation and benefits of having solar power. My bill has decreased over 45%. I haven't had any signification issues thus far. Thanks Longhorn Solar and thanks Dylan!

Good installation / poor support

They did a great job of installing the panels. A month later I still cannot get them to sit down and show me how the read the monitoring system so I know the system is producing the projected power they estimated. I cannot imagine the suportthey will provide if something actually fails.

Follow up support

My wife and I had some follow up questions on our solar panels. The same morning I was going to call Dylan sent me a follow up email. He listened to our concerns and came out the same morning to check our system. Dylan answered all of our questions. He also made sure our system was working properly. Up and running about a year now and couldn't be more satisfied. Dylan (our rep) assisted through entire process and even checked up on us a year later. Longhorn delivered, GD.

Solar Installation

We had a great experience with Longhorn Solar. Their sales rep actually was a veteran installer who knew the trade. They had a common sense approach to the bottom line cost that avoided gimmicks and was actually less expensive than a competitor. The install went well (about 2 ½ years ago) and when our inverter went out about 2 years ago, they quickly responded and installed a new one covered completely under warranty. We end up selling back to our electric company anywhere from 90-190 kWh per month. I can definitely recommend Longhorn Solar for anyone interested in solar power.

Poor communications

The install and power on were frustrating. I was not being informed on what the next step was going to be. Installers came and installed the panels and then left with a check. I was amazed to find out that Longhorn Solar was unaware of who was at the site and that the electric was part was not installed. They came out the next day to install the power and then I had to wait for the power company to inspect it. Almost a month later I called for a status and they had to get back with me. It seems like the electric company was out the week before to inspect it and supposedly not informed them. Longhorn set up a day to come out and power it on and they never showed. I didn't receive a call. Still waiting to have solar. It is the hottest weeks of summer and I still don't have the solar that I paid for.

installition review

the installation process was awesome. ddNormally my electric bill was from $180.oo to $240.oo and since I had Solar electric installed my bill has dropped to $62.00 to $108.00 so as you can see it is quite a savings. k With all the rebates given on the installation it was a no brainer. I was very pleased with the whole process of acquiring a Longhorn Solar system for my home - everyone was so helpful, professional, dependable and efficient. I have recommended it to friends and will continue recommending your company and product.

Solar instal

Have had the 6K system in place for a year now, Longhorn missed the anticipated production for the year by 20 KWH. 8265 vs 8285. One more sunny day would have done it. Not bad ! Only spent $250.00 last year for power from the grid. Looking for more this year and the next 18 years to boot.

Solar installation

Had longhorn solar install a 5kw system. Got a great price, had extra rebate at time of quote. Installed quickly. My electric bill now ranges from $10 to about $25 a month.

Great Experience

I am very happy with my solar system that was installed last spring. Ian Smith did a very nice job of marketing the system, explaining options and recommending a system to meet my needs without selling me options that did not fit my needs. We had a few hardware (arc fault) issues with the inverter, but Longhorn and the manufacturer replaced the problem causing components without stress. So far my system has saved me about $500 on my electric bills which exceeds the quoted projections and return on investment estimates.

Incredible Customer Service

We have been interested in solar for some time. In August, we moved to a home next door to a solar powered house. Following the good recommendation of our neighbor to contact Longhorn Solar, we did just that. From the first contact by phone, to the site survey with David Shumate, the General Manager and Gareth Malkowski, our "salesman", through the immediate quotes based on a few options, we were amazed! Our "salesman" Gareth Malkowski became a quick friend. My husband and I had an immediate rapport with him based on his demeanor, genuine care and overall lack of "sales-pitch-iness". The team that came out for the installation were on-time, thorough, knowledgeable, and skilled. Zachary Brahm, Field Ops Supervisor, and Adam Mercer, project manager, were well-versed in their jobs. In about 4-5 hours, the installation was complete, painless and non-disruptive! We could not have been more impressed with the entire team! We are amazed at watching our eGauge monitoring system show us in real time how our home is producing more than the electric usage. Woo-hoo! This is SO awesome. Just like our team at Longhorn Solar.

Excellent install and service and better than all the rest!

Longhorn installed a 9 kV system for us last May and it has worked flawlessly. Everyone with the company has been professional and responsive to our questions and needs. They have been a joy to work with and I highly recommend them for all your solar needs.

Longhorn Solar experience

Everything was very professionally handled from sales, to installation and service. The work was completed as scheduled. The Solar Edge monitoring system allows you to monitor production in real time. After two months the production has exceeded expectations. I highly recommend the addition of solar power and Longhorn Solar. This is a beautiful installation.
