Lied to by this companies solar representative

We met with a representative from Legacy, he made his pitch. It sounded good because he kept telling us that our solar panels would produce enough to cancel out our power bill leaving us looking at a negative $15 bill. When we received a bill from our electric company for over $300 we were shocked! We contacted the representative who kept giving us the run around and not answering our questions. We then contacted the customer service office. There we were informed by a customer service rep that our sales rep lied to us about our system to close the sale. So now instead of eliminating a large bill we now are stuck paying two bills because like other reviews on here our solar panels do nothing for us. We looked into how to get them off since their company lied to us about the system and we were informed that it would cost us over $17,000 to undo what is done. Stay away from this company. Instead of making things better for my family of 7 they have now made things worse!!

Incomplete install

BrighLife Electric NV inspection for the city, found that the installers installed the wrong wire guage. LGCY has advised that it will be up to two additional weeks to correct the issue.

LGCY Solar Review

The sales and installation process was very good. The install took longer than expected but was finished in a long day and looks good, and it seems to be working great. However, I still do not know if my system has been locally inspected or if my generated power is being credited to my local service account. I can only assume it is. I wasn't sure about payments and had to ask for an invoice weeks after installation. Per my research, the quality of the panels and inverters seems to excellent, plus the Enphase ap to monitor the panels is great.

Very great crew. Able to talked to them and ask questions. Fixed a roof tile I requested. Above and beyond!

Gateway error

The crew seems competent but unable to install all the conduit inside the attic. Not sure if a more experienced crew could’ve figured it out. The output seems to vary quite a bit (0-2 kw). The array map shows constant. The gateway is in error mode. How can this be corrected

Well this is July 23,2024 and it still isn’t up and running correctly. They was supposed to install a AT&T cellular pack on July 5 still not been done. I have seen 2 different repair men. Still not working. Was not being happy. Panels been up since April and still not fully operational. Not good

Communication

The really fail at communicating. Super poor service. They only care about the money. Any ways it took them over a year to finally doing all the installs. Really pissed me off. Never once listened to any of my concerns about the setup. When I finally got to talk to the region supervisor it got better but still not great. Just like others on here I barely make enough solar power to actually do much help. 21 x400w panels wasn’t enough. On top of all that the electrician they contracted out ended up having a heat stroke in the middle of connecting everything. It was a long year for poor service and a lot of money spent I wish I didn’t spend

Another shady solar company

We contacted with LGCY solar. The salesman came out and made his pitch. They had Titan Solar install the panels. Needless to say, I do not have enough panels on my roof, so they do nothing. They were in so much of a hurry to get my money that they failed to do a roof inspection. My roof needed replacement. Trying to call LGCY, and they never ever return any calls. Titan just went out of business, so I am up sh!ts Creek without a paddle. Stay away from this company. The owners should go to prison.

Installers Damaged

Let me start by stating this Review only allows to show the state of Arizona and not California. California is where our home is at. California is where the solar panels and work was performed at: 1628 Rio Vista Court, Oakley, California 94561. We have called everyone we could talk to about the damage that was made here. The only person that will talk to us *live* is the man that gave us the confidence to purchase solar. I am so so so angry and sorry that I allowed anyone on our new roof and to work on our house. The van's pulled up that were not branded or shown any affiliation with your company or the name of the business that was contracted. A competitor that had actually been at our house during the time the sales person was here inside our home, sold solar on the next street over. That company was so proud of the work, they have a sign on their lawn to boast how good their solar work was. We have NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WITH THE NAME OF YOUR BUSINESS LEFT TO DO ANY BOASTING, PRIDE OR SELLING. Here is a list: 1) Roof damage, 2) Gutters that were squished and damaged with feet or ladders 3) Holes up to the size of 5 inches left wide open to the elements in the stucco either with multiple drill holes 4) Gaping holes where the conduit was run into the walls and Electrical panel, 5) Expensive Tools left on site, 6) Shingles broken and gaping wide with no protection or glue of any sort to protect the area under the shingles. It was installed 7 years ago and no one, except the inspector at the time the roof was put on, has been up or near our roof. 6)and there is more all supported with pictures. The foreman came to the door to say the work was done, but did not walk myself around the house to discuss the damage or acknowledge the damage while standing at my door. The installation is NOT complete because the foreman stated they needed to get into our garage to the electrical panel and upgrading it to allow the solar to be run properly into our house. They said they would have another crew come back to do this work. Ok, but who is going to fix all this damage this crew has left behind? Instead of keeping the date for the next crew to be immediately followed behind this crew, we were moved out to May 25, 2024. I cannot say anything of this service that is redeeming. We have not received one call to talk *live* to either of us to apologize or talk about repairs. The only thing we received was a text message saying no crews can come any day before May 25th, 2024. The After Sale Support has been non existent. What will you do with information and the damage ? For the questions below, we were never given anything that discussed the System Size, the brand panels, the inverter brand. We have more photos of damage to share with you. Final Paperwork

I can't get LGCY to submit the Final Paperwork to Ameren IL. so that Ameren can install the new Electric Meter. I can not turn on my solar unit until this gets finished. I have been calling now for 8 weeks and still no response! Initial installation went smoothly, and now 2 months later I still can not turn on my solar.

Excellent people cancel

Everybody dealt with a legacy. Power from the salesman to the people. Installing has been wonderful. They don't have a wonderful job on putting in my ground. Mount triple a five star

Been getting two electric bills for fourteen months now and figured out why .After they finally passed code a year later I lose power twice and I do have battery backup so I should never lose power.I contacted them and never got a response .now I'M back

This solar company is legit and great

Just want to leave this review as I had a good experience getting everything situated with the solar guy that came to my house , his name was Juan Munoz , his knowledge,attitude, and patients was well over a 10/10 , was able to answer any of my queastions and help me get the best deal possible with this company ! If you men and women want a good reliable trustworthy company to get your solars installed then I highly suggest to contact these guys as there here to help us that can’t afford solar panels but still want that cheaper energy bill to see each month these are the guys and women to go through ! The location were I got mine installed is in Ridgecrest California we’re it’s really dry hott in summers and cold in winters I get sun on my home all day through the year so it’s well worth it on my end . Just wanted to give this company a good honest review, don’t regret it by not getting it as it could help you and your family save tons of money to be spending with loved one and makign mermories instead of paying it twards the electric bil. That’s all for now I’ll do another review Ina couple months to give an update on how my systems running . Don’t think twice just ask the queastions you want answered and they’ll answer it even find better deals for you that other places don’t really ever do , also I’m not getting paid for this comment this is all coming from my personally I just want to be a good smartian and help others as I was helped . Very efficient crew

The two installers that installed my solar panel system were hard workers and very good at their jobs. I could not have asked for anything better.

Horrid communication

Install was supposed to be done in August, and half done at best at the end of November. Horrible communication from the sales rep. He shared his wife had pregnancy issues which I can empathize with, but it takes seconds to text or pass the account to someone who is capable of follow up. I still have no idea the next step .

HORRIBLE

Mislead this single Mom. Sold me a system that doesn’t fit my home and I pay more with Solar then I did without. When asked to make it right by adding the additional tiles they said I needed to offset the cost. They told me I had to pay. Their sales person sold me a complete lie expecting I would know about Solar. Trusted what he said and what he quoted me. He no longer works for the company.. go figure. Stay far away they will dupe you.

The entire process was easy. I did not have to do much but sign things and be home 1 day. The only problem I was was that the installers left trash in my yard and made big ruts in my yard.

Waited 8 months for permits-LGCY was very slow in this process. Was told the total process would be completed in June. Installation was not done at all like what was discusses in the survey. Installers said it could not be done like what was finalized during survey. Paying that amount of money -home owner should get what was discussed.
