Informative about solar and estimated impact to my home. Kept me well-informed through all the project stages and facilitated all the forms, approvals, etc. Installation was complete in less than a day and passed inspection a few days later.

The ION Solar company was very thorough and swift with their work. They ensured to keep us up to date with all steps of the process and were accurate in the breakdown of the process.

The sales team was very professional and answered all of our questions. The whole ION Solar team has made the entire process from start to finish, which can take 2-3 months, visible and has stayed in touch with us on progress through each step. We just completed the installation phase, and everything went smoothly and quickly. Everyone has been very friendly and great to work with!

I always knew at what point we were in the process. My roof replacement was included and it was completed in one day. The workers were a well-oiled machine. Great experience with Rep and install team

First time with Solar. We looked at a lot of different companies but went with Ion. It was a great experience. McCallum Smith our sales rep was very friendly and knowledgeable. He made the whole process super easy. Communication was great with him and the team. Install process went well, and we are overall very happy with the team at Ion.

We just had solar installed on our home and our experience couldn’t have been better. Our sales rep Ladereck Mosley was outstanding. He explained everything thoroughly, let us know what to expect, and was available for any questions that we had throughout the process. The Ion Solar team communicated regularly, keeping us updated on each step in the process and the installation was done professionally. Quality done quickly

The ION team has been great to work with from initial sales to design to install. They went through four design revision to meet my needs. Once finalized, contracts were easy, communications were clear and frequent, and install was done in half a day and with great quality. I highly recommend these folks!

Beware

I made the mistake of installing solar panels with ION Solar in 2018. The interface app used to track issues with the solar panels and energy created and used has changed at least twice since my panels were installed. I have had to have them out at least once to get the panels back online and producing energy. Most recently I am having issues with the app connecting to my WiFi. I called Enphase first and they confirmed I was following the correct steps to connect the app to my WiFi and suggested I cannot my ISP to confirm I had a strong enough WiFi signal. My ISP confirmed my signal was strong enough, but the panel still would not connect to my WiFi. The error kept saying my WiFi password was incorrect, which I confirmed multiple times the password is correct. I called ION Solar to have a tech come assess why the panel will not connect to WiFi; however, they will not send a tech without me paying $250 up front. It is asinine to pay that much money for a problem that is clearly an issue with ION’s equipment without knowing what the actual issue is. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, she discounted the fee to $200, which is still too much money to pay to have them diagnose their issue. The supervisor refused to escalate my call and complaint further, leaving my only option as writing negative reviews and finding the office of the president at ION’s contact info to escalate myself. These solar panels are far too expensive to not receive adequate customer support when their equipment fails. Beware, as it turns out solar panels have an approximate life span of twenty years, which is how long ION “generously” offers their financing for. If you are considering solar panels find a reputable company that stands behind their equipment without charging you ridiculous service fees to diagnose the issue with their equipment.

Ion solar has been a great experience so far, that have kept me in the loop every step Of the way. Chad Carroll is the go to guy, very professional, and explained every detail of the process. I would highly recommend if you’re looking to add Solar to your home.

No problem wasting my time.

The installation process for my system was straight forward and easy. The crew reached out that morning and showed up on time. They were professional and kept me informed through the process. The only issue was how much time was planned for the install. My system was on the complex side and the crew had to return to finish the job. All things considered, it was a positive experience. 10OCT24: I am compelled to change this review from 5 stars to one star. I have reached the conclusion Ion Solar's operations team clearly doesn't value customer time. I am a repeat customer who just added indirect light panels to be added to an existing system. My initial installation was seamless and professional. Since the initial install, my experience has been the exact opposite! Four of the five installation/service calls have been no shows or extremely late with no call. The first few weren't a big deal because I had already taken time off from work, but that was clearly an early indicator of incompetence. Now the installation wasn't done correctly, and someone needs to come back out. I scheduled it for last week and my wife took the day off. At the end of that day, I finally got a call from a technician saying he could perform the repair remotely and wouldn't be coming to my home. This really infuriated me since my wife took time off to be home, which cost us money. Well, the technician was incorrect and now someone needs to come back. At this point, I don't trust Ion Solar's operations department at all! I reached out to try and speak to the Operations Manager, but I never received a call back. At this point I don't have a choice but to gut through this incompetence to get my system working properly. Based on my experience to date, I can't in good conscience recommend doing business with Ion Solar because all the evidence suggests they do not value their customer's time. 17OCT24: I was contacted by a customer service representative named Emily. The short version of the conversation is that from her perspective, what I am experienced wasn't unreasonable and I am owed nothing. Either I or my wife took time off from work and sat waiting for techs that didn't show on three different occasions. However, because they reached out at the end of the scheduled arrival window to tell us they weren't going to make it they don't count that as a "no call no show." It never ceases to amaze me how people come up with ways to lie to themselves to make them feel better. I STRONGLY ADVISE ANYONE CONSIDERING A SOLAR INSTALLATION WITH ION SOLAR TO LOOK ELSEWHERE. It is clear they only care about the bottom line.
