The process when well and pretty quick. The crew was good. The only down fall was clean up could have been a little better but not that big of a deal!

Great to be on Solar but I would advise new customers to wait wait a few months if you're in a new house to see what your current light bill will be. I used my previous address light payments but should've waited before deciding to go solar.

We finally made the decision to go solar and the process, although a bit longer than expected, has been a great experience. Calvin Davila sat with us and gave an excellent presentation, provided a step by step rundown so we knew what to expect, the cost, and the savings we would get by switching to solar. Good service and highly recommended.

Glad I Signed Up for ION Solar

I was not sure solar panels were for me. After talking with a family member who has used solar panels for about 7 years, I decided to invest. The sales rep was very helpful and provided all the information I needed to make a decision. After the install and operation of the system, I was able to save about 30% in my first month electric bill. Happy I made the decision to install these panels and thankful for all the information provided to me by ION.

System installed as promised, ahead of schedule

Not sure I’ll be saving money yet but the overall experience was good so far.

Overall pleased

Overall we are pleased with our installation of solar panels with Ion Solar. There were a few bumps on the path but we are finished and happy with the result. Some of the issues were normal issues of finding pieces and parts as well as a mistake on Ion's part. Ion did make the mistake right and we are pleased with our final install.

Mostly satisfied with installation process.

There have been other contacts with solar companies. At the time I wasn't interested. The first thing I asked was where the panels were made, to the first person contact and he said they are made in Washington state. I watched the Silfab Solar video and they did not say the silicon wafers that produce the electricity are made in USA. I'll bet the wafers are made in Marxist Communist China. Why don't you prove me wrong! I also received the 30 LED light bulbs, which are made in Marxist Communist China. I already have quite a bit of LED bulbs. I know there are 3 way LED light bulbs which I will have to buy, and replace bulbs in kitchen fixtures where the threaded diameter is half the size of standard light bulbs. Those 30 LED bulbs you sent me will probably sit in the box a long time. I'm still waiting for XCEL energy to install the 2 way meter. Then the installation crew forgot to locate each panel by it's serial number.

I love the product & the quality. The process was a bit slow.

I liked having a product made in America and the latest technology. Cost for each option was explained. No attempt to oversell.

Moved Fast!!!

The sales person spoke to my logical mind and it made sense. It is a long term play. You can get a quick win depending how efficient you home is or is not but long term there are more benefits.

They were courteous, knowledgeable, and extremely nice along with better pricing than most. My only gripe would be that they didn't warn me about how panels attract birds and they didn't offer the critter guards up front. Other than that they are awesome.

ION Solar Install team did an efficient installing solar panels

ION Solar Energy Adviser Dwayne Roberts did an excellent in providing the information for installing solar panels which made since for my wife in I. He asked the question what was our goal. Our goal was to save money and reduce our carbon footprint. He was able to answer all of my questions. I wasn't too satisfied in the initial phase of planning from the engineering to the installation of the panels with the Utah HOA. I felt like they should have been aware that the panels could only be installed on the rear of the house only. This in turned held up the process and had to be resubmitted to the city for approval which took another 2 weeks. The inspection of my home went very well. The inspector was very professional. The installation team did an efficient job in installing my solar panels with the team lead Joseph. He was making sure everything was done accurate and answered all questions. There was a few loose wasted parts in my lawn I retrieved. The communication between Dominion Energy was a little slow between ION Solar in being able to activate my system. I am producing energy which I am excited in finally getting to this point. I look forward to receiving a lower bill in the coming months from Dominion Energy.

Great Experience!!! Would recommend 100%

Our experience with ION has been fantastic. The panels were installed much sooner than what was estimated and the team who installed were top notch. Appreciate all the check in calls as I it is nice to stay up to date with all. The app also helped regarding the whole installation process. They are now fully functional and we are excited to see how much they produce.

Scheduling dept. needs work

The sales dept. did a fantastic job of explaining the process and monitoring the progress of our project right up until it was passed to the scheduling dept. for installation. That is when everything went wrong. We scheduled a day for install, got the confirmation for that date and then no one showed up. We were told the installer couldn't do it that day and that they had rescheduled us for another day, but no one had bothered to tell us. When we were transferred to reschedule, they continued to insinuate that we were never scheduled for our original date and asked twice why we were changing our install date. When we finally got the panels installed we made an appointment for inspection, except no one ever showed up during the time frame we were given. When we called they told us that we were scheduled for the afternoon timeframe not the morning, despite the email we received saying it was the morning timeframe. And lastly, we received an email from Cody Hopkins saying that the power company would be coming to change out our meter sometime during the week. I immediately called Cody to see if we could pin down a more specific time, since we didn't want our power disconnected while our son was taking an online exam or my husband was conducting a virtual meeting. We got no response. He never replied and three days later, exactly what we were trying to avoid happened. The power company came and without even letting us know they were there, shut off our power to swap the meters. My husband got booted from his meeting and our son got kicked out of his class in the middle of working on an assignment. Later that day when we called ION to see if we were ready to turn the system on, they said they had no idea when the meters would be swapped out. There seems to be a serious lack of communication between ION and the inspectors and the power company in the final stages of the project. I feel like this is a serious shortfall, as it makes it look like all ION cares about is getting the contract and then sort of drops their customer service.

The installation was very good.

The ball was dropped when Ion -Solar did not inform me that my electrical panel was out dated. That they could not get two breakers needed for my installation. The installation crew was very good explained what was being done, and how things worked. Bob Archer the electrician was a pro. I would recommend him to anyone.

Happy Under the Sun

So happy to have a solar installed on my house and with the electricity I've already been producing it was a great decision. The process with Ion Solar was very smooth and everyone at Ion was super helpful guiding me through the installation process. However, I'm knocking one star off (for now) as there could have been one extra step to double check with HOA approval before scheduling install date but that is both on me and Ion. If HOA was double checked as a needed step then this was easily a 5 star experience.

Great install crew, slight hiccups with loan company

Overall, the whole process was incredibly simple, the installation crew were beasts and clearly knew what they were doing. My issue would be better clarification about how Loanpal operates upfront.

Consistent

I am new to this. Haven't even received 1st bill. But the people alone sold me on the system.

So far so good!
