4 hour installation is weeks. Terrible service

4 hour installation is not done weeks later. They keep forgetting to get it inspected. installation team left gate open allowing my dog to escape. Would recommend a professional team not a corporation that cares less like Lorrente and Ion

Not very satisfied so far

They installed the lines/conduit and it was not run in the best way in an area we entertain in. They also cut our door jam to fit the conduit in a way that was easiest for them. They came back out to fix it after my husband complained and STILL did not do what was asked.

Overall Good Service

Salesman, Project Manager, and Installation team were all professional and helpful. The team that assigns where installation teams go each day kept trying to pull the installation team off of my project, which caused almost a week delay. Having said that, I am pleased with the end results.

Rough start, great finish.

Even though there were some misunderstandings between the salesperson and myself, everything turned out great. Make sure everything you discuss is on the contract. In my case, it was the critter guard. ION Solar worked hard to make it right. Perfect timing for me to get them working, my last month's bill was cut in half even with family visiting and the blazing Texas heat.

Great people and amazing service

Ion solar is absolutely premium. I could not be happier with their level of service and professionalism. They took care of everything and kept me in the loop the whole time. My project manager Adam really went above and beyond to help me out. Even when I screwed up with my HOA he jumped in and got things all straightened out. The installation was a breeze. The techs that did the installation arrived on time and were very courteous and accommodating. They left in the house and yard in perfect condition.

Great low-stress salesperson. Wonderful installers. A little disconnect with corporate in scheduling, after awaiting parts, but finally resolved. Glad to have it complete, and ready to save money!

Zero customer service

The initial install went ok but months later the system still is not functional. I've called several times with no response and often times the phone isn't even answered.

Everything from the saleman, project manager and install crew was very polite, professional and made our experience very nice.

Good sales technique

Les Smith was a good salesman. Explained the benefits of solar and the process for installation. I reserve final judgment on the company as a whole until installation occurs. Hopefully it will be as smooth as signing the contract was.

Panels work - customer service and installation problems

Ion was initially quick to answer and return calls and come to the house to help me. Once I decided to go with them and signed the contract, I was unable to reach them via phone again and none of my several voicemails were returned. I had questions about the contract and documents I was signing but had to rely on a friend for help who is also a customer. In addition to nonexistent support, the installation team failed the inspection, which meant they had to come back and try again. They told me the inspector who works for my local community was unreasonable so I offered to call the city for them to give them feedback...When they realized I would go to bat for them, the team changed their tune and asked me not to do that and they partially took responsibility for failing the inspection. 2 of my 15 panels produce about 40% less energy than the rest. Otherwise the system seems to be working well.

Honest, Amazing, and Thorough Company (Smooth sailing process)

I would rate my experience with ION as excellent. From the beginning to the end process went very smoothly. Lorrente and all of the staff at ION was professional and very courteous. I would highly recommend any of them to future customers. They deserve all of the credit, very easy to communicate with and fast response. I appreciated the way the project was handled. I had full confidence in them and the work was spectacular. I would highly recommend ION solar to anyone seeking an American owned and operated company. Majority of the products used are made in the USA proudly. Thank you ION for everything and I will continue to get the word out!

Very Satisfied

We chose Ion Solar because we could finance the solar equipment with no money down and our electric savings matched the loan payments. The process was easy and the system was built with high quality equipment with a sleek design that did not stand out.

Wrong install kit and zero onsite management of install

I had to wait several months for the permit and engineering issues to be resolved. Several hours of my time wasted on the phone with the engineers and remeasuring my roof. The install was finally scheduled. When the install kit arrived, it was incomplete. Short about 50% of the necessary electrical components, wrong install kit for my roof, and zero fasteners to attach anything to my roof. I had to bring my contractor onsite for repairs to my brand new roof and had to pay for all of the fasteners. I would recommend you avoid working with this company.

Quick and painless process

I got an email from an old friend saying to look into Ion solar. I agreed to have a sales consultation but I thought I wouldn't get solar because I have a fairly low electric bill. The sales person was straight forwarded in showing me how I could actually save money if I financed a system. He also was not pushy about the sale. The sales guys left to let me think about it. So I got two other quotes from other companies to verify if solar was actually feasible. Those companies did provide good sales ppl but they were a little more pushy about signing. I ultimately went with Ion. I choose a system size that was in the mid of all bids and the sales consultant drew up a contract and I signed. I am trying to sell my co-workers on Ion

From start to finish, Ion Solar was fabulous to work with. All of the employees were professional, helpful and friendly. Our case manager kept us updated on the progress of our project and was always available to answer questions. The employees were always on time for appointments and did excellent work installing our system. We love our solar system and would highly recommend Ion Solar.
