Smooth process!

Still waiting on utility company to come out and finalize hookup, but so far we are extremely happy! Sales rep Ricky Gordi was kind and not pushy, everyone from their HOA to design teams were great at helping us get things sorted and approved, and install team wad quick, friendly and very knowledgeable to walk us through the new system components.

From start to finish they have been very professional, answered all of my questions, explained the entire process in detail and continue to update me on all steps and progress. He was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly responsive to any questions or concerns we had throughout the process. The installation team, including the technicians and electricians, did an outstanding job. They efficiently installed our 13 panels in just one day, which was impressive. Their professionalism and attention to detail were evident every step of the way. Overall, Ion Solar has made our transition to solar energy a seamless and enjoyable process. Nightmare experience!!!!!!

So update 2 years later. This has been a nightmare experience. My bill is almost $300 and next month it will be $300+. I get a $30 credit and that’s it. Plus the bill to pay for the system that puts my billl at $500+. Never in my life. My highest bill for the summer before this never ever got to $200. The sales rep scammed us from the beginning gave us one price and then when the contract came back it was a whole nother price. The Tax break was fake news so then out bill went up because nothing was paid when taxes were filed. Spoke to the vice president and he tried to give us a check that would pay the difference of what we were quoted for one year. That never happen. I posted a bad review on ion site and of course someone call. Thought I was not being truthful but I have all the emails. And the came back and said the guy that promised that was no long with the company. Since then another agent called told me he would go over my bill and data and get back with me. Never happened. Hours of my life lost talk to reps that promise and never deliver. One was going to send someone out to check and see if the system was work again no show. This is one big scam. Worse decision I ever made in my life.

Our rep, Richard Wright, was exceptionally knowledgeable, appropriately advised us on the best options available, and made the application process a breeze. The whole team communicates with you very well, takes rapid action on scheduling each milestone, and installers execute efficiently with excellent result. From the sales experience through approving the design and installation, everything has been smooth. as a new solar customer I am still learning a lot about how everything works however, Ion solar has been great to work with and I’m excited to see the results of my new system.

Can’t say enough good things about this experience. They did what they said they would do and when they would do it. Communication was exceptional throughout the process. Based on my experience, I can’t do anything but to highly recommend ION Solar.

Too expensive

Good quality install however price point is literally twice as high as it should be. Shop around and get a better deal, especially if you need to reroof.

Excellent experience

My sales rep Joe met me on June 17th and discussed our options. We agreed and settled on a 13KW enphase system comprising of 31 panels with micro inverters. My site survey was schedule for Wednesday June 19th after our welc Call with corporate on Monday the 17th. On Thursday the 20 I received a call to schedule install on the 25th. A bit sceptical of how fast this process was running I reach out to Joe to confirm and he assured me that while it does not always runs that smoothly their reputation and relationships with the various governing department afforded them the luxury of getting permits and authorizations that much faster. Needless to say on June 25th his crew lead Ruben reach out to let me know that he was on his way to get my installation done at 7:21 am. Ruben and his crew if 2 other installer arrived approximately 8 am made introductions, performed a site survey with me to confirm installation and then got to work. At 2:23 pm I received a good by text from Ruben as they were done installation, clean up, system commissioning and programming, connected system to my WiFi and prior to all that a dried overview of what was installed and what to expect next. Did I mention that earlier that morning although on an already planned trip with his family Joe called to apologize for not being onsite due the family trip that was planned weeks prior and due the fast turnaround of everything my installation just landed on the day he was out of town. I see all this to say that I have had solar installation in the past and have had bad experience with it, but this experience certainly blew that experience out of the water. Everything was well communicated via text email after every process. I received a text and an email confirming completion or confirming Information And both Joe and his crew Ruben and installers were Ollie professional, friendly, polite, and a joy and a pleasure to work with. To have this all come together within a week of meeting signing agreements and scheduling site survey to get it installation done the whole process was extremely well thought out and handled if I could give more than five stars, I certainly would. They certainly deserve it. Thanks, Joe and your crew and Ion Solar for such a wonderful experience thus far now just waiting to get inspection and authorization to flip the switch and start harnessing the sun.

Service and communication is lacking

I purchased a home with an existing solar system. After a few days I went to transfer into my name and discovered that the monitoring system was off line. Talked to Enphase who walked me through some trouble shooting to no avail. Contacted ION and they said they would need to send out an electrician. AFTER I paid $250 they would schedule a visit. Within minutes of getting an emailed invoice I paid, yet a week later I have had no communication initiated from them and still no scheduled visit. I have been told conflicting reasons for the delay. As of now I am out money and stuck with a solar system that doesn't work with no recourse.

No regrets

Our experience with Ion solar has been overwhelmingly positive so far! Our rep Spencer Gore explained all of the ins and outs of the panels, contract, tax benefits, and arrangement with the energy company and was able to answer all of our questions. The communication throughout the contract process was phenomenal and the install team were a sight to behold. Despite the heat and pit h of our roof, they were able to get the panels installed in just a few hours, treating our home with great respect as they did.
