Overpriced and nonresponsive.
I was sold overpriced panels. Also agreed to certain terms as we are on a fixed income, and was sent to a predatory lender. Terms are as agreed upon for 18 months and then go up if 30% of the loan is paid off. A detail not disclosed., and we made sure and asked if the payment was fixed. As long as you give them the tax credit and auto draft, the terms will stay the same, not true. The tax credit doesn't get the loan to the required balance, and the payments made thus far for the last 9 months, have gone to interest. There was no way to pay that amount down in 18months. We called because we were having trouble with the panels not all working correctly. They never called back. When we called for an estimate to remove them, we were quoted $17k to remove them and lay them in the yard. There is no way I would recommend this company amd I'm pissed they were recommended to me. Huge scam.

If the almost $10,000 tax return is a key reason you're thinking about going with this company, do not waste your time. It is a complete lie on their end. You WILL NOT get that when you file taxes. Trust me...

Highly recommend!
We just moved here from out of state and it is very overwhelming with the amount of door knockers that come to your new home as you’re trying to get settled and unpack get the kids back to school and obviously just live your daily life. The only company that stuck to our heads was not annoying, overwhelming and honestly just were real people selling what they love was green star. they did not hound us. I highly recommend if you choose to do solar call Scott at Green star. He is very knowledgeable respectable and definitely you can tell he’s a family man. Thank you so much the Clark family!

This was a painless process. Considering crazy weather in Central Texas (ice and snow). Our project was a little unusual as it required the solar system install on the barn, but the energy conservation upgrades were added to our farm house that runs on a separate meter. The complexity of the project, caused some confusion with between site inspection and design, that needed adjustments, issues were resolved in a day and the project moved on. This team works great together. As the customer, we felt very comfortable asking questions that were technical and the answers presented in a manner we could understand. I was very impressed that the installers each and everyone, didn't mind if we interrupted them to ask a question, what they were doing, whether it was me, my husband or 12 year old son. The project install was complete in about 7 days (even with rainy weather). We are live and producing solar power! We can't really comment on after sales service as we have been live for a week. We did get bids from other companies that were comparable in price but Green Star's customer service from day one set them apart. Keep in mind that your power company, your choice of financing or form of payment, and your time restraints play a huge part in their job. As in anything communication is key and documentation (approvals, signature etc...) from the customer has to be timely as well. Great Job!
