I have had solar for about two years now, without issue. Set up and install was a painless process. Communication was great! Fast forward to me receiving an outrageous electricity bill for two months. I let the 1st month slide thinking, maybe we did use more than the panels created. However, once I received the 2nd month's bill, I called into Greenstar. Turns out I have four panels not working. Well, that explains it. I then got the "you should have received an alert on the app". I explained to them that I checked the app and no alerts are populating. Sent in a screenshot, because at this point, they prefer text communication vs over the phone. They do their part to submit a ticket to have someone come check out the panels. I do not get any notification via email, text or phone call and someone shows up. Okay, fine. Problem. I speak English and no other language; this person does not speak English. I just show them where the main box is said ok for them to check it out. They are here for a couple hours then just leave. Not a word or no communication what's so ever from the office. I called into the office and was told they didn't have an update because no one updated them. Long story short, they just showed up again out of the blue about a week later and "worked" on the panels. Again, I have to be the one to call in to get an update-panels were swapped, should be good to go, could take 24hrs for the app to update. Fine. 3 days later-no change, I reach out, again told that once the serial numbers are updated, I'll see the changes. Fast forward to 4 days later... still no update. I call in and supposedly there is another issue that needs to be fixed. Great!! I ask, when can they fixed? not sure ma'am. you are 1 of 10,000 accounts we manage. So, here I am in month 3 of having to pay for the solar panels on top of huge electricity bills. Their whole customer service process is not beneficial to the consumer, only to the company because you are still liable for the costs of the panels whether they work or not.
