Excellent response, installation, system performance.

We just had our 1 year anniversary(true up) for installing our solar system. The plan was for 110% power production calculated by past usage. The system has performed even better than that. Around 30 days time from signing their contract, installation, and obtaining permission to operate the system from PG&E. I have only received minimum billing charges since turning the system on, but due to over production, I currently have a negative PG&E bill. I would highly recommend Green Solar Technologies.

$40000 systems and 3 months doesn’t work

$40,000 system that doesn’t work after three months waiting for a new part finally got it and two months still not installed poor customer service I don’t even get callbacks

Bone Heads

This company is grossly lacking the core competency in providing anything remotely close to “Solar Services”. At the end of the day use a local contractor that knows what the local rules are, how the utility wants things and has the relationships in place to make the project go smoothly and a better price and support. They just find whatever contractor, some has never even done solar, they use the cheapest outfit they can find to fit their project budget and protect their profit margin, and damn the customer service and end product. Overpriced and closing a project before the site assessment is done just doesn’t make sense. I know one person (after the fact for myself) that is going on 1 year now and still no permission to operate, what a joke. I question most of these 5 star reviews, but scan thru the rest that are less than 5 star and I think you start seeing a pattern.

Not Enough Power

We chose SGreen Solar because of the positive expereince of a nearby friend. The process was simple and the installer did a great job. My system was designed for 6.96 kW. However, I have never generated more than 6 kW even on a bright sunny day, which is common in our Colorado mountain town. I asked for an expanation and got a very complex technical response, something about the system having to be overdesigned. So, I am left with a system that does not produce what I had expected and with higher power bills than I expected. In retrospect, I should have gone with a local firm even at a slightly higher cost.

Not good

They say I got a 95-100% efficient system and it doesn't bring my bill much at all if any.

Overall a positive experience

I liked the proposal Green Solar offered for installation of Solar at our rural Colorado residence. We started the process in September 2018, but because of weather and some delay's caused by Green Solar, the system was not functional until late April 2019. We received the Federal tax benefits for 2018, but the delay held up our receiving the net metering benefit by four to six months.

Still waiting for information

Nobody explained me anything about the installation that I have. I had to send 6 emails to get the $1000 rebate. They also told that they will pay for the fee that I had to pay for changing electric company. I don’t know how much Energy I use for self consume and how much I am “selling”. Still waiting for the papers for the tax credit... They even told me that I will get a picture of my roof with the panels... Still waiting....

Misleading, poor service, unprofessional. NEVER recommend GST

Misleading. Our contract states that we should produce over 11,393kwh. Last week, I asked one of their contracted techs how much we have produced and he confirmed that we have only produced just over 13,000kwh in 23 months. We have known there was a problem from the very beginning and here we are, 23 months into this, and still not getting what was promised to us. Poor Service. We do not live in a big city. We live very far from a big city. It is hard to get specialized work in our area. I understand that it is hard BUT if you cannot take care of your customers in rural areas then DO NOT SELL YOUR PRODUCTS/SERVICES IN RURAL AREAS! Not only do they take 2-8 weeks to get someone to come look at our system every time we complain, the job is NEVER finished and our panels are NEVER up and running as promised before the initial installation. Unprofessional. If we really want to take this higher and get GST negatively recognized by the BBB, we are going to have a difficult time. They wrote a contract that clearly states almost nothing can be done to terminate, change, add, remove, etc. unless it is in writing. They arrange everything with us over the phone and never follow up with anything in writing; therefore, no written record. They had someone come remove a part and replace it with another part. We should have received a "change notice" in writing for this but, of course, everything was done over the phone so we have no written record of exactly what was taken and replaced. One of their techs told us how messed up our system was and that GST would probably never fix it. Another tech that they sent out was so frustrated with how unprofessional GST was conducting business that he said this was the very last job he would ever do for them. He said they would not pay him his rate and they were untimely in answering his tech support questions. He was here for over 2 hours and they told him it should take less than an hour. The last tech team that we had out here had to wait 2.5 hours for GST tech support. If I could give these panels back and walk away from GST, I would do it in a heartbeat. If you take a look at the positive reviews for GST, please notice that they are very short. Those were probably written before or shortly after installation when the customer had no clue what just happened. If you look at the complaints, you will see more to the story and realize that GST is not a company you should trust your $31,000 investment with. Real quick, speaking of $31,000, it was paid IN FULL 4 months after installation.

I don't have anything good to say for the office staff, very poor service. They made multiple errors and after everything was said and done, I was told they would fix an error they made, I've never heard back from anyone. Technician I had for installation was great thou. He should be running the business side!

A Great Value!

I had been looking to put solar panels on the roof for a long time, but the cost always put me off. When I was told I could purchase my system and finance it for 22 years at 3.77%, the monthly payments were finally less than my electric bill. I was actually getting the system for less than free. Not to mention the cash I will get next April when I fill out my income taxes. The system is guaranteed for 25 years. I live in Wyoming and we get lots of snow, ice and hail storms with hail sometimes coming down the size of golf balls. The panels are rated to handle the weather with no problems. Green Solar will be monitoring my system and taking care of any problems for the next 25 years. It was a no brainer for me. The local contractors were very nice and efficient. I am very happy with my system so far :)

Green Solar Technologies have from the first phone call to the last phone call has made buying a solar powered system simple. They have answered all my questions , concerns and keep me updated on the process of installing our system. I highly recommend this company . Their team work is outstanding.

Great installers with a great product.

Just received a ck from pp&l for $162.00 and system has been working for a couple of months. Can't wait to see how big next year's is going to be.

Great experience all around!

My salesman, Michael Blackman was the best. He was very patient and understanding with me for probably over 2 months. He answered all my questions and was very patient while I was going over everything. Once all the paperwork was signed Chad took over. Chad never missed a call. Always there when I had questions as well. The installation team was awesome! Very friendly and cleaned up everything when installation was completed. It's been almost 3 months now and I'm loving my solar!

I am so glad I chose to go with Green Solar Technologies!!! There are so many small installers to choose from many of them don't stay in business for long or are bought out by others. With Green Solar Technologies that doesn't matter they will back you no matter what!! If the installer or technician you saw last time is no longer available Green Solar will find someone who is and send them right out to service your system!! Green Solar gives you a GREAT warranty and uses the best parts and materials. They are so easy to work with and have a whole team of people working on your individual project. And they are always available to explain anything along the way and answer any questions you may have. My experience with Green Solar Technologies has been wonderful and I recomend you choose Green Solar Technologies too!!!!!

So far so good!

I saw this add on facebook and decided it was time to get pannels! It took a few months before they could be installed because of the weather. But once the weather was good, the install was quick! The pannels are producing as they should in PA! And i got my first electric bill that was $0 after a good month with little snow!

Terrible service, roofs leaking from installing solar panels

In the beginning, I thought they would be a good company to install solar panels. Never will I ever refer this company to anyone. They never fixed my leaking roof and sent the worse roof contractor to take care of the problem, which is still not done. He shows up whenever he wants and doesn't do anything and leaves. Its been 2 yrs dealing with this company and my tiles are still stacked up on the roof and still have a tarp that was never removed.

System is producing 50% less than promised

When the salesperson pitched this to me I was assured that it would cover 70-80% of my usage. Now that the system is up it is only capable of producing 40% of my usage based on THEIR OWN assessment of it. I noticed this before the system was 100% complete, contacted them and while they said they were trying to figure out how they were going to fix it they funded the loan (took my money). After weeks of totally ignoring me they finally called and told me that in order to fix their oversight they would sell me more panels. This whole process has been geared at misleading the customer, now I am stuck with a payment that will NEVER be covered by the production of the system even in best summer months. $23,600 for a system that will produce 10-40% at best of my yearly usage. SCAM!
