Overall a positive experience

I liked the proposal Green Solar offered for installation of Solar at our rural Colorado residence. We started the process in September 2018, but because of weather and some delay's caused by Green Solar, the system was not functional until late April 2019. We received the Federal tax benefits for 2018, but the delay held up our receiving the net metering benefit by four to six months.

my electric bill is no where near as low as indicated during the sales meetings. i was dissapointed that my bills in the beginning were just as much as i had without solar. they have come down but now they are about 1/2 as much as my original bills.

The process does take time, not because of the solar people, but because of local permits, and the existing power company. The installation crew were fast and courteous. The did however leave some installation debris in the yard. Not much mind you, but some.

When you spend over $50,000 you want to be cautious. It took some time but know I am very comfortable. I especially want to tell you that Gus has done everything to get me set up. He is diligent and that’s a quality that is hard to find. I also would like to commend the installers ( name slips my mind). I understand that Green Solar has recently terminated business with them. Although I don’t know the particulars ,I believe that this may prove to be a bad decision because they were great to work with.

Great overall experience. Installers could have been more careful during installation. They drug panels on top of one another, and left a few scratched up.

My system was installed in April and so far has been working great. The installer were good at explaining how the system worked and where everything was. Had a small delay because the inspector wanted different stickers for the electrical boxes, but the stickers were here in a week and approved. Electric company swapped out meter and turned system on. Been working good so far.

Rain rain go away

First full month saved approximately 75%. Bill went from over $100.00 to$36.00. Within 18 panel system produced over 700 kWh. This month 8/2018 it has clowd cover almost even day☹️. Green Solar energy was very professional in obtaining finances and all permits required. Crossed all the T’s and dotted all the I’s.

Good system but company could improve

My email and telephone conversations with Letticia Escobar were helpful. My conversation with the first salesman (Carl) was abysmal. He was rude and avoided offering me information on a solar system. After essentially calling me an idiot for having a current electric contract, he ended the conversation. I was later contacted by someone from GST customer service who was very attentive to my feedback about my initial salesman. I was then contacted by Gerry, a second salesman who provided me considerable information and eventually convinced me that solar would be an appropriate choice for my electricity situation. The contract process was very quick and done electronically. I then was called by a project manager who apparently set up a site visit and ordered the materials. The installation crew was competent and installed the panels and inverter in a very workmanlike manner. However, after explaining how they would send me a link so I could monitor system performance on my computer and phone, they failed to actually send me that link. I then was notified that I had a new project manager. He gave me his cell number andI I attempted to call him twice; neither time did he answer his phone. I left a voicemail and eventually he called me back and gave me some moderately helpful information. My second call resulted in a voicemail to him that he never returned. By then I had about 6 significant questions dealing with warranty, income tax paperwork, on-line monitoring, that sort of thing. My system had been working well for about 3 weeks when Customer Service called me again. This was opportune as I had unanswered questions and little confidence that the project manager would talk to me or have accurate answers. I conveyed my questions and the Customer Service lady understood all my questions, gave me good answers, sent me a link for the on-line monitoring, and generally did much to offset my disappointment with the sales and project management folks. Review: the sales force seems too anxious to "close a sale" and without helping a prospective customer with valid information; the project managers were sparse on information and terribly weak on follow-up; the installation crew was excellent; the equipment seems to be top-notch, and the customer service ladies have been outstanding.

Good experience

The techs were very friendly and timely, they allowed very knowledgeable. They were able to explain everything so I could understand it. My only issue was that they left behind tools and materials that they had to return three times to retrieve.

New solar installation.

I am really happy I purchased the solar system. My only concern is if I purchased a large enough system to cover my electricity use. My air conditioner has not run very much, and I still use more electricity than I generate. I was instructed by the sales person that the 20 year warranty would also cover undersized systems, I feel very confident I made a wise decision.

Solar on Steel Roof three stories high

Everything works so far, 54 panels at 295 watts. They returned all my calls through the process. It took a while as I have a 3 story house and a steal rough, and live in an area where its hard to get good work done by locals. Green Solar did a good job. They followed up often. Everyone that I met from the installers to the people putting the deal and financing together were very nice. This month I saw a reduction of 80% of my power bill (we use a lot power), and it's been rainy and overcast all month, so I'm optimistic it will pay 100% of my power bill into the future!

Installation

Installation took awhile because of running out of panels...they also need to educate better about switching to solar in a timely manner...had to pay an extra 500 to pge before solar kicked in...overall the service was good

Great Experience, Wise Investment

The salesman who worked with me was extremely patient in answering all of my questions and concerns. However the project managers I ended up working with were extremely difficult to get information from and attempted to schedule appointments without checking with me. The team that installed the solar panels got the job done in half the time and were very professional. I have already seen the panels affect my electric bill as it has gone from $80 to about $10 and it is winter when there is less sunlight.

I can’t say anything bad about my experience, everyone was very helpful and took the time to explain the process. They are very much on top of there stuff, which is why I would recommend GST for your solar needs.

Fast

Green Solar Technologies was very persistent. The first few proposals did not seem to make financial sense. They came up with a new plan that made my loan payments about the same as my electric bill. That made perfect sense to me. We completed all the paperwork in early Nov. and I was concerned that they would not be able to get it installed by the end of the year. But less than 5 weeks later the panels were delivered and installed. I was pleased with their fast and efficient efforts.

Happy to go solar

Our experience has been very good with GST and we are very pleased to go solar. We appreciate the personnel there very much. Justin is our project manager and he is great. The installation team was outstanding. Our sales rep was also very good. We are having some challenges with the local electrical coop that hopefully will be resolved soon. GST has been with us all the way.

besides some delays on both sides, this was a fun and easy installation. Around the same time as the solar we had Mitsubishi splits installed. With the solar hooked up, we can now afford air conditioning. It's a whole new world!

We have been helped through the process of grid tied solar installation by various people at Green Solar. They have been very professional along the process.

Enjoying the meter turning backwards!

Installation process was very smooth, even though there were some hiccups with the logistic. The installers bounced back and got the job done.

It took a couple of days to install. The solar panels are not only producing more energy than we're using, but they are aesthetically pleasing as well.

Once all the paperwork was done, the installation was completed quickly. There were many forms to sign in addition to the contract. They were not well explained and made me question the purchase. Also, I realize that there are people that need constant reminders and prodding but I am not one of them. I do not like being hounded. Lastly, I was not kept informed of the status of the project. Once they started, it was done quickly, but an effort should have been made to keep me informed especially when I was being contacted frequently during the selling stage. So to sum up...recommend more communication and explain the documents you need the customer to sign. Would still recommend.
