We used Greenpower for our install in New Jersey this past fall. Overall, it was a very good experience. We got a bunch of initial quotes through EnergySage, and spent a couple of weeks talking to both GPE and two other smaller local installers. Ultimately, we went with GPE because their price per kW was actually the lowest of the bunch and they were a larger installer with solid reviews. I'm glad we did. Our sales rep was decently responsive throughout the process. Some steps took a little longer, but they would respond to my follow up emails within a couple of days. They handled all the permitting and process - we just paid. When there was a small electrical issue after the initial install (just a couple of outlets in the house not working), they sent out an electrician at no charge within 24 hours and he fixed it right away. We've had our system running for about two months now and it's working well. If you want a solid and reputable solar company, I'd recommend getting a quote from them.

I had a very positive experience working with Green Power Energy from initial quote through Permission to Operate. The sales and quoting process was straightforward and low-friction, and everything was handled digitally. There was no in-home sales pressure, which I appreciated. Despite very high demand in the residential solar market, communication was consistently solid and responses were generally faster than expected. Everyone I interacted with was knowledgeable and professional, from sales to installers to post-install follow-up. The installation quality itself was excellent. The conduit runs were exceptionally clean and thoughtfully done, to the point that it made me notice how sloppy other installations can look by comparison. Cleanup was also outstanding. Based on prior experiences with roofing and exterior work, I expected a significant mess. That was not the case here. Green Power Energy did a particularly good job managing expectations around timelines that were outside their control, such as permits and utility approvals. They intentionally overestimated these timelines, which turned out to be a smart and customer-friendly approach. The project ultimately hit the PTO timeline we expected, with no major surprises. Most importantly, they consistently did what they said they would do. No installation is completely perfect, but any minor issues were small and situational, and none affected the final outcome or system performance. Overall, I am very satisfied with the experience and the final result. The system is live, producing as expected, and the installation quality is excellent. I have already recommended Green Power Energy to friends and neighbors and would not hesitate to do so again.

Wonderful experience, could not have been smoother. They took care to answer all of my questions and handled the full install with minimal needed from me. Every single person was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. The crews working on the roof did an excellent job and left no mess behind. I had one single panel that was damaged in delivery, was the very last panel at the bottom of the stack, and they had a replacement and someone out to install it within a few days. Longest part of the process was waiting on my municipality and PSEG, but no fault of Green Power Energy, that is just the way it is. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking to go solar.
