Fantastic customer service

I’m so thankful for the two ladies I spoke to on the phone. Solar Help Review

Takes quite a long time to get to speak to anyone, Dionta was quite courteous, a little hard to understand, though! He asked me for my info for verification purpses and instead of keeping me on the line while he looked at the file. He then put me on hold again…. Not a good experience for me! I know what good Customer Service is because I’ve done it for the last 30 years of my life, and I feel like this is mediocre Customer Service, you guys need to pick up your game!

Overall experience has been very good. The only complaint would be the wait time for the AI reply on the app. I also spent over 1 hour on hold before I could speak with a customer service employee. The representative was excellent once I was able to finally connect.

Severely deteriorated service

My solar installation was about 3 years ago. Since then, on a few occasions panels have stopped performing, and in each case a service technician was dispatched reasonably quickly. Something appears to have gone wrong with the service organization recently, however. I reported an outage of several panels about a month ago (this was flagged to me by their app, but they never picked up on it themselves, unlike in previous instances). I called them at that time, and was assured that service would be scheduled shortly, acknowledging that it was important to do so in these most productive months of the year. A few weeks passed, nothing. I called back last week, and it appears that my request had disappeared into a black hole. I did finally get ahold of service scheduling, and was informed that the earliest service date was a month in the future. Not at all happy about that, but I scheduled it. Today I get a text informing me that it was rescheduled again, another 3 weeks later. Trying to talk to a live person is nearly impossible (I was on hold for 90 minutes on one of my attempts last week, at which time the call was terminated because they closed for the day). I'm wondering what's going on - if they're supposed to be a major solar installer, you'd think they could maintain a functioning service team. Perhaps they're going out of business? In any case, this experience is extremely disappointing - I'm losing money every day, and don't feel good about their ability to respond to future outages in a timely fashion.

Disappointment

I am very disappointed with Freedom Forever's time frame of the installation process. Specifically the electrical installation. I was quoted a 5 to 6 hour power outage during the time of electrical installation. It took approximately 12 hours with the electricity off before power was turned back on. During that time I lost well over 2 dozen exotic pheasant eggs in my incubator as well as saltwater reef fish in my aquariums. I was denied my claim for compensation of my losses because I was offered a generator to use after i got home from work and the electricity was still off but by the time I got off of work it had already been well over 8 hours. I was told that i should have used my own generator in advance. If i would have known that it would take more than the 5 to 6 hours quoted then i would have most likely done so. Despite that, even if i did use my own generator, i wouldn't have had the time to come home and top off the gas in the generator to keep it running all day during my work hours. Not to mention that it took 5 days for the completion of the electrical work and one of the days during that 5 day period, the A/C fuse blew out due to electricity being turned on and off while installation was still going on. It was not restored till later the next day. I am disgusted with their customer service/claims department and should have done my research on this company in advance. Considering that it has a 2 out of 5 star rating, I have no one to blame but myself for this mistake. I WOULD NOT recommend Freedom forever to anyone. Now im locked in a contract with this disappointment of a solar company for the next 25 years.

★☆☆☆☆ Freedom Forever - System Works, But the Company Doesn’t

Freedom Forever may have finally gotten my solar system up and running, but it took months of frustration, silence, and legal pressure to get there—and the installation is still sloppy and unsafe. I first reported faulty workmanship to a supervisor on February 17, 2025. Some panels were improperly secured, which is extremely dangerous in a high-wind area. I followed up repeatedly via phone and email, but Freedom Forever ignored me at every turn. Despite the issues, they still accepted full payment from the lender (Mosaic) while leaving me with a non-functioning system for months. I eventually had to escalate the issue through a bankruptcy court complaint, and only then was the system made operational on June 27, 2025. Even though the system now runs, the defective installation still hasn’t been corrected, and Freedom Forever refuses to respond. This is not just bad service—it’s negligent and reckless. I would never recommend this company. They’ll take your money, leave you with half-finished work, and disappear when it matters most.

No customer service or qualified operators in Oregon

Do not use this company if you are Oregon. They have no one qualified to do electrical work in the state and if anything goes wrong (and many things have gone wrong with our system) you will wait months for anyone to show up to fix anything (and then the person they finally send seems to do nothing because our system is still not fixed after 3 visits)

Terrible company, borderline scamming imo

They use third party roofers who made a mess of my roof and never actively cleaned the debris that fell all over the place. They simply don't work or talk to you at all and almost feels like they're trying to force you into making bad decisions. Still charged me for terrible roof work which I've already had to search for a new roofer to fix it now. Unbelievable service terrible company. Also tried to change and increase the price that we originally agreed on without my knowledge, luckily it was an email and I read it.
