solar edge software - consumption vs. production seems odd

I thought Mike did a good job on addressing my concerns and setting up a troubleshooting assignment for the technical peeps to fix. He assured me that the power I was generating was going out to the grid when there was enough power going out. My only issue was the microphone and clear speech. If I go to Morgan Stanley AMEX peeps, the communication is clear as a bell and I am talking to a real American peep. There is a subtle difference here.

Jude was helpful

Jude was very helpful and I appreciate not being hung up on. Jude was my 4th call to Freedom this morning and was the only person to not disconnect mid-sentence and helped immensely. Hopefully you tech team can get out and fix/replace my inverter that appears to have randomly stoped working months ago.

It's a good setup i hope, we are now done waiting for the electic company to come and approve.

Almost perfect

The guys came according to the time frame promised and began their work. We left the house for our jobs and when we came home for lunch, they were done but they left our garage door open. Leaving our home unsecured was inexcusable. They knew we weren't home and could have closed the door and left out the side door, locking the knob as they left. Really disappointed! The panels look great and they left everything clean.

Solar System gateway still not reporting inverter status. Repair technician scheduled to come out to repair my system in a month & 1/2. Long wait.

No Complaints

Salesperson was great. I had lots of questions. He sat with me for about 3 hours and answered all that he could. He came back for a follow up after speaking with his superiors. Sat with me for another 3 hours answering more questions I had. No problems with the install team. They were timely and efficient. Very friendly and easy to talk to. They also answered all my questions. There was some delay with financing the project after a bankruptcy, but no issues getting more funding from another bank. Also a delay with materials. When the initial inspection happened before installation, a key component in my electrical panel was overlooked. This was not found until after work had begun, so it took awhile to have the part delivered. I'm very happy with the final design of the project on the roof and walls of my home. Customer service is the only place this company lacks. When you are going to have a relationship with a company for decades, unfortunately that is a big piece of the puzzle. I wish I could say I am comfortable that any future issues will be addressed timely and correctly, but I do not have 100% confidence. Email response has taken days and weeks. Even sending second emails to follow up on why I haven't received a response. A few responses I have received appear to be poorly crafted AI responses. The issues I've raised to do not appear to have been truly reviewed by a human representative. But all in all, nothing has soured me on this company yet. I understand the nature of construction projects and understand the 'mechanics' behind solar power. Everything has been fine in the 6 months since they flipped the "on switch". I will mention again, that the customer service is a concern. If/when something happens in the next 25 years (the warranty period for the panels), I am not confident they will be of any help. Hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised.

Very responsive

Customer service is very responsive, professional and kind. Installers were fast, professional and efficient. The panels look awesome on our roof. Not distracting or gawdy, the look nice Took a longggggg time for all the permits to be completed, but that may have been more of a problem with my County and not Freedom Forever. Only 4 stars because of the time it took to have the system installed and I was not understanding all the paperwork that need to be signed off on. Also, I thought I was getting a battery back system as part of the installation, but I have been told that was not the case. So even though I can be confused, they were always there to answer my questions.

My experience was good for the most part. I did have a couple of issues with regard to installation. First, there was a lot of debris left in my yard and driveway. Our panels were installed on February 9 and we are still finding debris left over from the install. Unacceptable! They should have cleaned that stuff up. Stuff that was probably the reason one of my cars tires ended up with a screw in it. I also absolutely was not satisfied with the communication of the electrician that worked on my project. He had to stay later than the rest of the crew to finish something in my basement. We were sitting for at least an hour waiting for him to come up from the basement and let us know he was done. My husband went downstairs to check on him and he was gone, never said anything to us, just snuck out. Then the next day I am sitting in my family room alone watching TV and hear all this banging on the house and I look out to see what's going on and it's 2 electricians out there working. So not only did he not say he was leaving the night before, but he or anyone else for that matter, reached out to me to let me know that the work wasn't complete and someone would be returning to finish the work. Then yesterday a stranger knocks on my door and I am nervous so I don't answer as I am home alone during the day and you can't be too careful now with opening the door for strangers. So I watched him on my security camera and saw hi. go to the side of my house so I am assuming that is was a rep from your company checking on something. A couple hours later, I get another knock on the door. Again, I didn't answer. This time the guy talked into the camera letting me know he was putting stickers on so I could pass inspection. This company needs to be more sensitive to the fact that they need to let their customers know when they need to come visit, not just come unannounced. That was very unsettling to me.

On the phone the representative was very helpful but the system is having issues and monitoring team needs to up their game to have the issues solved ASAP.

The service on the phone was good. My problem was addressed. The problem was shared with the right person. Now I’m waiting to hear back from a technician to fix the issue

Solar Panel Experience

Overall, I’m happy with Freedom Forever Solar. There have been times when the solar panels aren’t producing the level it should be, and I have to wait several months for a production review. Also, I’ve had to call and wait up to 30 days for a tech to come out two times my solar power went down after hurricanes. It would be nice to have an automated system to send out a person when the system notifies of an outage. Other than these issues, I’m happy with Freedom Forever. Today’s call with Mike was 5 stars. He was very knowledgeable and helpful.

A bit confusing

I have a Tesla Powerwall solar battery bank that needs pairing with my home wifi in order to start working. After receiving detailed instructions on how to set up the unit, it would not pair with my system. I called Freedom Forever and was told it takes a few days to come online. Later I found out that a Tesla certified technician needs to come out to my property to do the actual set up. Neither the final inspection tech or the customer service person knew that detail. We could have been up and running sooner if I had known I needed to schedule another technician to come out

Install crew was nice

Had some adjustments from original design.I wanted a few more panels, they quickly came back with adjustments. Very good communicating, install crew were very professional.

Roof Leak appointment

Inspection found missed pilot holes. Early to appt. Efficient. Filled in holes to prevent future leaks. Called office for follow-up appointment to fix damages. May be a long wait.

Everything is good except the schedule

The installation crew was great and worked with me on the details. I am very happy with the product and the installation. My only complaint is on the schedule. We signed the agreement in May and expected a June install. The installation did not happen until January. This cost me money since I missed out on the Federal Tax credit I had planned to get.

The nicest guys, but they broke my water line and a roof down spout drain line. pge has been over a week to inspect. I wood give the crew a 5 star. I just did not know the pipes were in that location. And these guys need a trencher to dig with 3 of them dug for 9 hours to dig a 20 ft. ditch. and they were very hard workers. lots of rocks in my ground.

Almost perfect

Awesome salesman!! Too bad the historic district committee took forever on permits approval, delayed by 3 months. Install was super quick just 1 day, basically, the installer was an awesome pro and a human! I haven't started yet producing, waiting for inspection, but so far it's great. Just feel like it's sometimes not too proactive, but everything else is awesome. I got an amazing deal and paid $0 so far. Can't wait to start generating!

Inverter problem

My Solar Edge app is telling me that my solar was not creating any electrons. I figured it was toast. The app’s Inverter Status and Communication features didn’t work as described but a call to the Support and talking to Mike let me know that the converter was indeed creating electricity but only the communication between the converter and my Solar Edge was the problem. They’re working in it and will report back soon. I’m very happy with their system for solving the problem.

Installation Completed After Extended Internal Delay

Installation is now complete, and the final team was professional. However, the project experienced a significant delay earlier due to internal issues, which caused financial and logistical impact.

I was called back when they promised but they now said I’d get a weekly call until the issue is resolved. If that happens, then I will be happier than I have been since Sep 2024 when this started!
