Freedom must have a high volume of applications to full-fill or a low volume of employees to do the process. I thought my solar system would have been turned on by now for me and the other two friends that I referred.

My First Review with Freedom Forever Service

I initiated contact with Freedom Forever on 9/4/25. It has taken from start of Project, to final INSPECTION -31/2 Mobths. Somewhat Slow Process, but, I guess it's the way some things go.

Buyer beware

I was contacted by a salesman from a company Solar Pros) representing Freedom Forever last year shortly after purchasing a home in Illinois. I told him that this is an all-electric home and I was planning on buying an EV and charging it at home. I didn't have a bill with the electric history for the former owner, but was promised by the salesman that they would contact the utility and get the figures they needed. The contact I received said the panels they installed along the south side of my roof would provide 137% capacity. I got my first electric bill before three system went live and had concerns that it wouldn't generate anywhere near the energy I needed. I called and texted the salesman and he never returned my call. Neither did the project specialist from Freedom Forever. I was connected by a representative for Solar Pros in May of this year for a follow-up. The person I spoke with was genuinely concerned and we worked out an updated plan that would provide more energy. That plan was submitted in June and Freedom Forever sat on it for months. They would not say why when I could reach someone there, which was not easy. In November, they finally assigned a project manager, set the installation date for mid to late December, with a PTO date in mid to late February. The months long delays meant I could not take advantage of the solar tax credits Congress cut this summer because systems have to be connected and fully operational by Dec. 31. I cancelled the project. If you are looking for a solar system, you may get a good deal from a multi-state operator like Freedom Forever, which depends on third-party sales, project management, and installation teams. You may not have trouble contacting them or one of those third-parties if you have a question or a concern. My advice, though, is to check the reviews and consider a local company with a reputation in the community as well.

My solar has broken down 5 times the last 2 years and only got reimbursed once and the last one never came back to replace a part since he didn't have it the last time

Terrible service

Once the installation started, everything went downhill, the roof was six days old when they installed the solar system, and there were numerous damaged areas to the roof with penetrations through the new roof that were not necessary to install team has zero respect for personal property. We received the permission to operate when to have the system turned on and it did not work at all. Was told I had to wait an additional 30 days before a service tech could come out in the system still doesn’t work now we are told we have to wait an additional 3 1/2 weeks for the next service tech to come out this will add up to almost 3 months after the permission to operate was received in the system still is yet to work. All freedom forever says it’s not their issue. They blamed the battery manufacturer the battery manufacturer blamed freedom.

Complete disaster

BUYER BEWARE!!! DO NOT USE FREEDOM FOREVER! I contracted with Freedom Forever to install solar on my home. After six months it is still not complete. There is no help. You can call a customer service line and be put on hold literally for hours and when you do get to speak with someone. They do not have the authority to solve any problem for you. I requested to speak with a manager or someone higher up, and was told that was impossible. I have spent two months trying to get my project completed and the answer as to why they can’t do anything keeps changing. This is an extremely poorly run company and I would advise anyone to run in the opposite direction. Do not go with Freedom Forever. They will take your money and never complete the project. I am having to hire a lawyer to file suit.

Not thrilled

The installation process took much longer than predicted. The battery was defective so now we are still waiting for our system to work. Installation was completed in October. Now we are paying two energy bills.

Wesley was very helpful in trouble shooting my issue. Appreciate his kind and patient demeanor — exactly what one wants in a customer service rep.

I had called regarding billing. I still haven’t received any since the instalation was finished a month ago. The representative was quite thorough and proactive, looking for data and reassuring me this is still part of the process. She was respectful and courteous at all times.

Vicki was very nice, and personable, she quickly asked what my inquiry was and helped find a solution. Very helpful, fast, and efficient!

2 day install

I went with Freedom Forever, it was a great start. The sales team was fast and friendly. I got the price I was looking for and pushed forward. It was great. There was a hitch with my local town requiring me to pay for an upgrade to the transformer in my town to accept the system size I wanted. Freedom Forever worked with them to get this done, however this took WAY longer than I had wanted. I was literally on the verge of just canceling the whole project. And Freedom Forever was not very fast with getting back to me with information. On the day I had made in my mind to cancel the project, Freedom Forever called me to setup the install date. They showed up on the date and slammed out a 53 panels install in 2 days. The team of installers was FAST and very good. The team was amazing, answered all my questions and was awesome. I am now back to being happy with them.
