Fluent takes no responsibility
Fluent has all work done and the loan set up by 3rd parties. Fluent will not take responsibility for any problems with the installation, the added insulation in your attic, the loan, your new meter. when you call them, you are always, always on hold for a long time. you can not ever talk to a person in engineering or the "install " team. (who actually does not DO the installation). I am already paying on my loan and the added attic insulation and attic fan has not been done yet. maybe in another month! and Fluent takes NO responsibility for that. there is a big long scratch in one of the panels and a foggy area in another. Fluent takes no responsibility. This review will never be posted as they review these reviews.

Don’t bother
I’ll be going on a year without having functioning solar panels, they say multiple employees left, they are waiting on another company to finish. That company says they are no longer doing business with them. It’s been a constant up hill battle we can’t back out of, we are paying a solar bill + our normal electric bill. Sales Reps strong arm you into doing business with them upon arrival to your house as well.

The worst company in solar
I thought I did a lot of research into solar prior to selecting Fluent, but I would never recommend working with them after my experience. My panels have been on my roof since November but they have never completed the install and got me connected to the utility. I've been attempting to address it with them for months and they have not kept any of their promises to me in getting them actually connected and I'm now paying loan payments on a product that is useless to me (to say nothing of the issues of actually getting them installed where they didn't even have all the parts to get them installed the first time they showed up). I urge you to please to go BBB and look them up there and not just rely upon google reviews!!!

Horrible Company
I would NOT recommend Fluent Solar. They installed the panels almost 2 years ago and the system does NOT pass inspection. The system has failed 4 times. They do not call to notify you of the progress or lack of progress. I am paying them for a system for a broken system.

Avoid if you want working solar panels
Our Solar Panels were installed June 29th, 2021. It is now September 2nd, 2021, and we have been trying to get these panels inspected so they can be turned on for over 6 weeks. Our original inspection date was scheduled for July 19th, 2021. No one showed up. My husband and I called and emailed Fluent numerous times over the course of 5 weeks to try to get this rescheduled and every single person we spoke to told us they would call/email us back with an update, but no one ever did. I finally spoke to a very nice lady in customer support on August 23rd, who managed to get the inspection re-scheduled for August 27th (it also only took her about 10 minutes with me on hold to get it re-scheduled, so I am not sure why it couldn't be done as easily in the prior 5 weeks leading up to this.) Well, August 27th comes and the guy from the County arrives at 10AM, but tells me that an electrician from Fluent has to be present in order for him to do the inspection. This was the first time I heard about this, as Fluent made it seem like only someone from the County needed to be there. The guy from the County also said it is a very common problem with Fluent delaying inspections because they do not employ their own electricians, and instead use contractors from numerous companies and they have a difficult time scheduling them appropriately. The guy from the County even told me that in order do get anything out of Fluent, I'm going to have to "be a Karen." I called Fluent as the guy from the County was leaving, spoke to someone in customer support who told me he had just gotten off a call with his boss about my inspection and was told that everything was properly scheduled. That guy seemed very apologetic and sounded like he'd be a big help and told me he would call me back within a half an hour. I never heard back from him. I called back later that evening and spoke to a different guy who simply told me "I see that the inspection was rescheduled for today", so he wasn't much help at all. He also told me he'd give me a call back on Friday evening, but I never from him either. Today, I called and spoke to 2 other guys about this situation. I was handed off to Amar on the installation team, and he told me he would for sure get back to me by Wednesday. Wednesday came and went and not a peep. I called back this morning to try to get a hold of Amar and he was on another call and I was told he would call me back when we was off that call. 2 hours passed, and he did not call me back, so I called again and got the same response. The guy in customer service told me that Amar is working on it, but that there is a hold up with some installation guy. I have no idea what that means other than this company needs to fire someone and work with a different "installation guy" if this is such a problem. I am so frustrated. I have no idea what more I can do to get functioning panels. I wish I had never signed a contract with this company.

Not a good company
We were so excited to start our solar journey and to reduce our footprint. However, things have not turned out as we hoped. 1) Customer service is helpful, but only to a certain point. You can call and ask questions and they tell you then will get with the respective team and call you back. They never call back. We have had to call a multitude of times, spoke to numerous representatives over four months to get any answers. 2)The sales representative (Jonathan Turner) was nice and seemed genuine. We were concerned that if the panels would not produce enough that we would then be stuck to pay the electric company and then the loan for the panels. He assured us that IF the panels did not produce enough to cover our electric bill (after a few months) that Fluent would install additional panels at no cost to ensure that the right amount of energy was produced. Also, that the app would tell us everything we would need/want-How much each panel produces, overall production, and consumption 3) The app can do those things we were told if everything is set up within the system correctly AND if you PAY EXTRA for a consumption meter. For the first four months we had to call and ask why the app wasn't showing everything that we were told and why it was producing less than it should have. Come to find only through my constant inquiries over multiple months that they were able to see that six of the panels were not hooked up. Therefore, our system wasn't able to produce the max amount it should have. And if we wanted we can pay for the additional device to see production vs consumption 4) Eight months into this we are still paying our electric bill PLUS the solar panel loan. This has equated to more each month than we ever paid just for just the electric bill. We reached out to customer service and the finalization team to assist. We have come to find out that they will not add more panels to bring our system up to par for our home. That we were undersold what we actually needed and if we want the proper amount we need that we will require to pay for more panels. Overall, customer service isn't responsive/helpful, you as the customer/consumer must do all the follow-up, and the sales representative lies. This company isn't worth your time or money.

Ok customer service. Over promised under delivered.
When the installation is happening you are told that if you don’t produce enough power they will add another panel at their cost to make sure your house is producing enough. The panels have not produced enough power not one single day since they have been a place.

Awful
Absolutely awful company to deal with. Our sales guy promised to be there every step of the way, after we signed he disappeared. Then there was no communication on how it all works and the process. I needed up having to call multiple times and I practically had a part time job trying to manage my install - I am still waiting on my paycheck for all of my time I spent in the phone and my pain and suffering. Then they had the audacity to call me and ask how my install was and how great did they do - well I have them an earful and the guy who called said he would follow up - surprise surprise I never heard back which is par for the course with this company. If u don’t mind doing there job/ managing ur own install go with them otherwise save yourself the aggravation and find a beater company l.

Untrustworthy and Incompetent to the point of being insulting
Deserving of zero stars but I have to give one in order to talk about this company. It's been nearly a year since we've started the process of getting panels and it has been one of the most unprofessional and irritating experiences, since the week we began. We are told that every representative we've been involved with no longer works with the company, that says a lot already, no communication was sent to explain delays or issues, now that we've finally gotten to the point that installation is being close to finishing, not even turning them on, just INSTALLING THEM, the team has "forgotten" the proper paperwork on multiple occasions when a city inspector was here, or simply did not show up, and could not sign off on the job due to their incompetence. Our home insurance information and other important documents have been sent to three different "employees" over this time and apparently they all no longer work there or have lost this information. We had issues with the locations of the grounding wires during the initial install and have been requesting that they be moved into a safer area and no one has arrived. This was now months ago and they're still "being installed". Again, the initial installation started MONTHS ago and they're still not done with that. This company is incredibly pathetic and insulting to its customers. We are currently seeking to cancel our contract and possibly seeking legal counsel. Signing up with Fluent was the absolute worst mistake we've made involving our house ever. If you really want solar panels stay away from these guys and look up a better and actually trustworthy company. Fluent Solar is terrible.

A company FULL of liars. Worst Company I've Ever Known.
10 Reasons to STAY AWAY: 1. Youtube add- deceitful - says won’t cost you anything 2. Salespeople - say your price of utilities has gone up every year, so this is a good investment. We checked- utilities have not gone up in the 3 years since we bought our house. 3. They brought in the “VP of sales” to close us - which is apparently not a position with the company when we called about him later 4. “VP of sales” assured us could deliver what they promised - 18 panels that we needed, even though we checked with him AT LEAST 3 times because we had a 2nd opinion from a different solar company that said the city laws would only allow for 11 panels on our roof size. 5. They told us they would install in September the latest(we signed up in June); in October we started calling them since they hadn’t installed or communicated with us. 6. Installed HALF of what we signed for as a complete job! We had to call them to find out(they would probably have charged us for the 18 panels if we hadn’t)! 7. They NEVER ONCE TOLD US THE PLANS HAD CHANGED BEFORE THE INSTALL TO GET OUR PERMISSION TO PROCEED. Said city won’t allow more. Said the rep submitted a 9 panel plan even though the contract we saw and the only plans we saw were for 18 panels. Apparently Fluent can completely change the entire plan after you sign!!! When we complained and said we don’t want this, told us put a lien on our house. 8. They answer when you call, however almost every time they couldn’t help us on the phone and said “I will personally call you back in 48 hours” and never did. We had to keep calling and threaten to sue to get them to actually help us. 9. We decide the Christian thing to do is not sue. A month after install so the end of December now(we have 11 panels--all that the city allows like the other solar company told us) we pull up the Fluent app- it says 1 panel not working! After 3 weeks of calling and threatening they come out to check. Tell us 3 panels are unplugged. So app and panels don’t work that we are paying for. 10. We’ve talked to other solar companies now: and have learned we paid way too much.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
On 8/10/2020, I began the process of purchasing solar panels from Fluent. The salesman at the time was very professional. Unfortunately, he left the company for his own reasons. Once he left the company, no one took over his position to assist me. No effort was made to contact me about my purchase or the installation unless I initiated contact. After hounding them for several months, I was finally contacted in December 2020 for my solar panels, 34 of them along with an electrical panel upgrade, to be installed. The installation began in mid-December 2020 by two men who arrived in an unmarked white truck with the solar panels loaded on a flatbed trailer. I have no idea who they actually worked for but I assume they were subcontractors that were hired by Fluent. It took them two days to mount the panels on my roof but they did not connect the panels to anything. There are actually wires hanging from the panels on my roof. No upgrade or work was done to the electrical system. Also the panels are mounted about 1/2 inch off the edge of the roof. This will not pass any type of inspection from the city. When I asked about the rest of the installation, one of the men told me that he is not responsible for that and they only mount the panels to the roof. He said an electrician would have to complete the rest of the work. It was not a professional installation and honestly it appeared as if Fluent had hired two guys off the street to bolt the panels to the roof. I then waited to be contacted by Fluent to complete the installation. During this time, I learned that the salesman had left the company but he felt obligated to assist me as he was the salesman that sold me the panels. He contacted colleagues at Fluent, including the COO, Scott Christensen, to get answers for me when no one else would help. They ignored him as well. In the end, no electrician came and no inspection was scheduled. The panels are currently in the same state as they were when they were mounted but not connected in December. On 2/24/2021, I was contacted by a representative from Fluent. She informed me that the "credit expired" and I needed to contact Sunlight Financial to correct the issue. I then contacted Sunlight and upon doing so, I learned some disturbing news. Sunlight Financial ran my credit again and began the loan application process all over again. This of course was a hard hit on my credit report. This should not have happened as I had already completed the loan paperwork in August and it was approved. It was during this time that I learned Fluent never informed Sunlight that the installation process had started. Sunlight Financial only learned that the inoperative panels were on my roof when I told them. As a result, the loan expired because Sunlight assumed the project was canceled. I declined to proceed with the loan and asked Fluent to remove the panels. They refused multiple times and I am currently seeking a resolution through civil court.

Painfully Slow and Horrible Communication
I signed with Fluent Solar following an impressive presentation and was very much looking forward to starting the solar process....however I am still looking forward to it because after 4 months my panels have not been turned on... There has been next to no active communication from the company. At no point has anyone reached out to me to explain where I am in the process, just complete silence until I send enough emails or texts. The messages I do receive are conflicting and contradictory (e.g. receiving an email that my inspection is about to be scheduled... literally a month after the inspection happened). I hope to enjoy my solar panels soon, and would recommend solar to others. But I would never, under any circumstances, recommend Fluent to anyone. If you choose them, I can only hope you have better luck than me.

Never Calls Back and other issues
These people never call back, they aren't forthcoming with the steps it will take to get solar going. We were really hopeful to get our solar in quickly, unfortunately that was not our experience. It started with being told our solar would be installed within a month of us signing the contracts. In reality it was 5 months later that it was installed. We kept hitting these walls with employees saying after this step you will be good to go and we can get your solar turned on. It ended up that 2-3 people showed up at my door for various things to do with the solar installation. And then light bulbs and a new thermometer unit showed up at my house with no explanation. When I called to see what that was about I was told I had to hire a 3rd party person to have that installed. Once our solar was installed and inspections were done we were waiting on some thing called the PTO, it was sent to us so I told Fluent I had it, but they wouldn't accept mine, they were certain they would get their own copy, two weeks of calling and no PTO in sight. After I sent that to them I was told just the portal setup was next to get the system going. That took another three weeks of me calling twice a week. These people would always promise to text me with an update, or call me back. Never happened. Even the manager was a flake and gave me a false email address. I just can't believe all the run around I went through to get something that I assume these tech employees do on a daily basis!

Horrible Company
Fluent Solar is a horrible company, their customer service sucks... their sales persons are liars. I have a $280 power bill this month after being told that if I signed up with their program I could save money. That my monthly power bill would be more like $9.... ha, I don't think so... I have had the solar panel since July and Rocky Mtn. Power did their thing in October. No Saving in the Power bill. There was suppose to be a $1000 incentive check, I have yet to see that check! I have asked the salesperson who take us into to this mess and email Fluent Solar several times where I need to send the payment too... No answer. Whenever, my husband call the the salesperson with our questions all he ever says is that he will look in to it, only he never calls back he never answers our question satisfactorily. I have been asking since July.... So far no answers.... no check and no saving!!! This program from Fluent Solar is a rip off!!!
