We are very happy with Fire Mountain Solar. I researched solar power companies in a different state and was disappointed in the cost and procedures. When we bought this house, a neighbor recommended Fire Mountain Solar. I am very appreciative of their recommendation. We dealt with three people on their team and each of them was great to work with. Friday, our sales representative, knows the product we bought and had a wonderful knowledge of the solar industry. She did and analysis for us and the results surprised me. Even though I was apprehensive when I first called because of my experience with other solar companies, I was very happy and impressed with her knowledge and insight. Fantastic experience from start to finish, highly recommended!

I had 3 solar outfits bid the job. One national outfit was astronomically more and Fire Mountain and the other were almost exactly the same. I decided to go local, and I’m glad I did. We have had a bunch of contractors and vendors at our house as we try to rehab it and I’ve grown used to unresponsiveness, delays, excuses, and unclear bids. Fire Mountain has been the one exception. They were responsive and helpful, there were no overruns. They ended up having an earlier opening and said they had a 3 day window where they could fit us in. I thought to myself “3 days” for a pretty large solar project, this is gonna drag on. Sure enough they banged it out in 3 days, left no mess, and even after the inspection they were out the next day to square away the small things the inspector wanted. In the last year I have had plumbers, HVAC, builders, electricians, landscapers, fence guys, etc at our house and Fire Mountain was not only the best experience, but probably the best in every category (responsiveness, timeliness, cost, professionalism, etc). I don’t do a lot of 5 star reviews but this is an easy one.

I have several tall trees to the south of my home and finding the right mix of panels and the right angles of exposure was a challenge. Fire Mountain Solar performed a very thorough review of my roof and came up with a great plan. I am already producing kwh about as much as I use, and this is not the best time of year. I am confident that the design from Fire Mountain Solar will completely offset ALL of my electricity usage. Their installers were very professional, and they took great care of my roof and gutters.

We had a really good experience with Fire Mountain. No high pressure tactics, we were put in contact with a technical person when we had more questions about different options, and we were quickly given estimates for the different setups we were looking for. The team was accurate with their estimated install dates and length and were in contact with me throughout the process. Fire mountain also took care of permits and submitting net metering applications to my utility. We haven’t had any issues with our system since it was installed, and have been seeing the solar credit in our electric bill each month. We recommend Fire Mountain.

Fire Mountain Solar was responsible for designing and deploying the power system for our island property. The project involved one of the largest residential solar deployments in the county. The property is entirely off-grid. Tim N. and the rest of the Fire Mountain Solar team was terrific to work with at all stages. From the design and planning stage, throughout the buildout, and including after-sales support, the team has been highly responsive, extraordinarily professional, creative, and thoughtful about the living needs of our property. Special kudos for Fire Mountain Solar's handling of unexpected issues as they arose during building construction and for taking a solution-oriented approach working with our construction team. It was obvious that the entire Fire Mountain Solar team took great pride in their work and were meticulous about every detail. Everything including the panel grids, the layout of the main power room, the mounting of inverters and charge controllers, and the routing of the cables was executed beautifully, as if it were intended for display as art. The team also prepared detailed documentation manuals, provided training, and has been especially responsive in supporting the system on an ongoing basis. They provided and continue to provide exceptional service.

Since my first attempt at leaving a review here didn't seem to go through, I'm trying it again. Fire Mountain Solar was fantastic to work with. Friday was very responsive and helped us weigh the pros and cons as we decided what type of system would be beneficial. I never felt any pressure to buy, and she addressed all my questions with expertise. The installation and set up was as painless as could be. They were here right when they said they would be, and Tim was quick to answer my questions as we waited for PSE to do their final installation and approval. I also found them to be flexible and honest. Between the time of our initial inquiry and the time of installation, the cost of panels dropped, and they were quick to pass that savings on to us. In addition, once they were actually on the roof, they realized they could simplify the layout from what they had initially planned, which will benefit us whenever the time comes to do more work on them. I highly recommend them to anyone considering going solar.

The last work we had done by Fire Mountain was the 3rd extension of our solar system. We are extremely happy! Working with Fire Mountain is so easy and the quality of the work is so high. We were left extremely satisfied. Our next step may be battery storage. Without a doubt we will be calling Fire Mountain. They are part of a contractor breed that is difficult to find.

I was influenced to install solar panels by Fire Mountain Solar because I personally knew 3 other households who had Fire Mountain install solar panels on 4 homes. The process of handling the applications was handled entirely by Fire Mountain and the actual install for my home took 1 day of labor plus about 2 hours on the following day. Within about the next 10 days following the install I had 3 inspections and my electric company (PSE) activated the system. I am able to easily monitor the daily electric production of the panels and from the meter see how much excess electricity is sent to the grid. The price that I paid Fire Mountain covered all applications, inspections, parts and labor. This price was lower on a price/watt than a competing bid and the panels used by Fire Mountain are manufactured in WA state. The facts that my friends were happy with the company, the price/kilowatt was lower than a competing offer, and supporting jobs in my state were strong influences in selecting Fire Mountain. Finally, the 30% income tax + 0% state sales tax saves me more than $8,000 of the otherwise total cost of the project. The panels were installed in late May and activated by PSE in early June. They have been working flawlessly now for about 6 weeks. The panels are of a high quality and are backed by a 25-year warranty on workmanship and a 30-year warranty on performance.

Solar panels were installed over a roof that was not up to code (not the installers fault). Due to the faulty roof installation a replacement was needed. Fire Mountain Solar at a very reasonable cost was able to take down the panels and replace them once a new roof was installed. Tim was very pleasant to work with and I would recommend the company to anyone looking to install solar in the future.

They were timely, communicated well during the process and stayed within the quoted costs. When we had questions they responded quickly and made sure they had adequately answered them.

The installation had to coordinated with home addition project that expanded the southern roof exposure. Fire Mountain had everything in place for an efficient install once the roof was ready. Great line of communication with timely updates.

-Install was fast once planned. Took more time and had more issues dealing with PSE. -Contract and price were reasonable (with an annoyance) -They really wanted a review quickly, I wanted to wait for a while to see how things worked: It's been up for 3+ months and no problems so far. -The manufacturer was out of the panels originally planned, Fire Mountain moved my install down to the next smaller wattage panels at the same price. They went on about delays to the install and contract cost changes to get panels of the original wattage or larger. I was not pleased about that.

Fire Mountain Solar installed a wonderful system at our property and we love it. They helped us calculate our usage needs and potential savings and gave us our best options. Then we worked together to design a system that looked great and covered almost 100% of our needs. It was an overall wonderful experience and now we can sit back and rack up the savings.

Let me 1st say that dealing with Fire Mountain Solar was great throughout the process. Ours was a new build home. There were a couple issues that arose at installation time, but the Fire Mountain installation team worked with our builder, made a couple configuration changes and solved the issues without any delay or expense. Of course, no one likes to encounter issues, but, for me the professionalism in dealing with them makes all the difference in the world. Thank you Friday and Tim!

My goal this year was to invest in solar. I studied the process for 4 months - there's a lot to learn. Roof mount? or on the shed? or ground mount? Toward the end of my search I found Fire Mountain Solar, and the whole plan fell together. I decided on ground mount, and they had all the right experience to make it work. They were very easy to communicate with and knew how to make problems go away. And what a great name - "Fire Mountain" - now that has sizzle! Their bid was competing with about 8 other companies and the bottom line was that they are solar artists, their price is competitive, they are fun and honest to work with, the bid was the most detailed and yet easy to understand, and they were ready to play when I was. I am glad I went with the ground mount as it is easier to maintain and more functional. I love to see people's jaws drop when they see my system - It does look BIG as it guards the pasture! I wish I had done this sooner!!

Fire Mountain did a great job for me and were always there for any questions I had. Enjoying watching the kwh credits build up on the new net meter. (the old meter spinning backwards was also fun). Highly recommend.

We have a great system and are loving it! I can only give 4 stars on price charged as quoted since the price of the equipment went up and we got charged extra. The 'on schedule' can only get 3 stars since we were canceled on install dates multiple times due to various reasons. Otherwise the workmanship and the system is outstanding!

We had Fire Mountain Solar install a 15 kW solar panel + 15 kWh battery system for our home on Camano Island. Our experience was overall very positive. Brad Quinton, who did all the electrical installation, including running lines from the roof, was extremely good - he is clearly very experienced, worked quickly and carefully, and was willing to answer questions. The roof panel installers Tim Wyndham and Cody Humphreys were also great, and the work overall looks very neat. This was a more complex installation than most (with a battery, and a propane generator backup that had to be incorporated into the build), but it all looks very good. I really liked working with a smaller company (I had originally got an estimate from Tesla, and I am so, so glad I went with FMS). Tim Nelson, the owner, is very knowledgeable, approachable and responsive. There are always some snafus in any project like this - the test is how well the company responds to them, and FMS did very well. I'm comfortable that if something goes wrong they will be able to come out quickly to fix it. Another plus is that they source their materials (panels etc.) locally. I highly recommend this company.

Being a general contractor I have been involved in a couple solar PV systems over the years. I never really investigated the feasability of the systems since they were a home owner driven item. Now that I’m building our own home I spent some time researching the pros and cons of solar and came to the quick conclusion that it definitely makes sense to take the plunge. Once I made the decision to go with a solar PV system I began reasearching solar contractors. I have to say I was impressed with all the solar contractors I spoke with but ended up choosing Fire Mountain Solar. The reason for choosing Fire Mountain over the other contractors was their ability to answer several technicianal questions I had regarding equipment and installation practices, competitive pricing, and excellent communication. We chose Fire Mountain Solar at first because they submitted their bid early and it was understandable for non-experts. It also included schematics of the buildings showing placement, number of panels, orientation, etc. They responded every time within 24 hours to questions we had. Their bid was also the lowest we received. Finally, they made what appeared to us as "extra effort" to help us understand the financial and regulatory aspects, and secure any financial incentives that were appropriate for our situation.

Fire Mountain did an exceptional performance from start to finish. The sales representative, office staff, installation crew, (beautiful installation job) and the technical support has afforded us a great experience.

We requested proposals from four companies that had provided solar systems in our area. We received three very comprehensive proposals. Prices were very competitive. We selected Fire Mountain based on their technical proposal and price, although were not the low bidder. What impressed us most were the friendly Fire Mountain employees and owners. They are all friendly, service oriented, and knowledgeable folks who made us feel like we were their most important customers. They installed our system when they committed to in the most workmanlike manner. We cannot thank them enough. They feel like our friends.

I received great service from Fire Mountain Solar. I have recommended them to my neighbors and several are now using their services. The system performs flawlessly and includes a 7.2kW array (2 poles with 12 panels each) and 2,200 pounds of batteries. Arrays are 620 feet from the home. I am able to operate my 5 bedroom log home without using my propane generator between mid February and late October. Yearly propane consumption decreased more than 50%.

I have had my install about 10 months now and I am very happy with it. Fire Mountain did a great job finishing my job in time to take advantage of some Washington State Solar Incentives.

There was a large range in quotes we received despite little variation in equipment, so it is essential to get multiple quotes if cost is important.

The office from the owners to the tech professionals have been super helpful navigating government/utility bureaucracy and answering my questions. As with any big install there are hiccups and Alana and Tim helped manage the only hiccup we had. So glad I picked this local company.
