Cape Fear Solar Systems

Exceptional Service

Cape Fear Solar made our solar project an outstanding experience. From the very beginning, everything felt organized and effortless - they truly took care of every detail. What stood out most was how genuinely thorough and respectful everyone was. The installation team—Mason, Mike, Chase, and Josh—worked efficiently and treated our home with care. Mason even paused to ask how I preferred the conduit and wiring to be routed, which meant a lot. Tyler and Noah handled the battery and electrical panel installation, and they were fantastic. Tyler took the time to answer all my questions and explain the system in a way that made everything easy to understand. When a couple of small issues came up, Jackson and Ulysses came back out, fixed everything quickly, and made sure I was fully set up on the monitoring app. And throughout the entire process, Hyla and Matt checked in to make sure things were moving smoothly. This is a team that truly takes pride in their work. I would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone thinking about going solar.

Inspection and Install Critter Guards

My neighbor reported squirrels on my roof so I decided to get critter guards installed on my system that was installed in 2023 by Cape Fear Solar. I made an appointment that was set in a timely manner and a reasonable cost and Justin Goodman and Dylan Watkins came today to inspect the system for damage caused by squirrels and install the critter guard. They found and repaired some damage caused by chewing and made a quick repair. They installed the critter guard (It looks great). They worked quickly and kept me informed as to what they were doing as they did it. They are a credit to Cape Fear Solar and I highly recommend them.

A great experience!

Our experience with Cape Fear Solar Systems was excellent, and I recommend them highly. Dar Hubsch, our contact with the company, was with us every step of the way, answering all our questions and holding our hands when we needed it. I'll miss him! The team leaders who worked on the various phases of the project were professional, friendly, and careful. I was especially impressed with the efforts they took to keep things clean as they worked. I want to mention Gabe Wood, Ulysses Ramos, and Tyler Duke as especially helpful and pleasant, and Derek Madrid was wonderful! The whole process was fascinating rather than stressful or disruptive, thanks to Cape Fear Solar Systems well-oiled process, and we were operational a lot faster than we expected. I feel confident that if any problems arise in the future, they will stand behind their work, which was a big reason we chose a local company.

Love Cape Fear Solar!

We were interested in the Tesla powerwalls and Cape Fear Solar is the approved company for Tesla. Caleb Timothy was our point of contact and he was wonderful from start to finish. He scheduled us an appointment within days of our initial inquiry then spent an afternoon with us going over exactly what they do, the pricing and timeline. He patiently answered all of our questions and we signed on the dotted line that same day! Caleb hooked us up with an excellent roofer as we wanted to put on a new roof prior to adding solar panels. His recommendation was spot on. Both Patriot Roofing and Cape Fear Solar Systems did exactly what we hired them to do WHEN they said they were going to do it. That is so rare these days. Both the roof and solar install went off very smoothly and we are very pleased. Cape Fear Solar Systems handled ALL of the paperwork needed to make solar possible for us from contacting our HOA for approval, submitting the proper forms, submitting the proper permits and working with our electrical company to ensure inspections happened at the right time and rebate forms were submitted; it was a painless experience. Additionally, Caleb has made himself available for any questions that come up for us which has been enormously helpful since we are new to the whole solar experience. All in all, a definite 5 star experience. We highly recommend Cape Fear Solar Systems!

Great from start to finish

Cape Fear Solar came out and put together a project that worked for me. We were able to work out financing, installation, and inspections with no problems at all. Thanks to the whole team!

Very Professional Solar Company

I was solicited by a door-to-door solar company and almost committed with them, but when I proceeded to do my research, Cape Fear Solar was recommended as a reputable alternative. I called them and Caleb Timothy came to our house THAT DAY. He assured us that he was not just trying to make a sale but wanted to show us our alternatives. The Cape Fear proposal was thousands less with many more specifics. We immediately cancelled the other commitment and asked him to contact us in three months. He did call us three months later with no pressure and we decided to move forward with solar installation. The process was seamless. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and professional. Our panels were installed in December of 2023. I highly recommend Cape Fear Solar as a company and both Caleb Timothy and Christina Zeitlin in particular.

Excellent

What a terrific experience! Our sales expert John Padden was knowledgeable and all round good guy. The installation team was supurb and every one of the team was polite, professional and knew exactly what they were doing. Ongoing support has been top notch. I recommend Cape Fear Solar with my full support!

Outstanding Company and People

We had a tremendous experience with CFS. Very nice and helpful folks during the entire process. The installers were efficient, clean and friendly. All of the staff were amazing and we highly recommend them.

An Extremely Satisfied Customer

As a satisfied customer I highly recommend Cape Fear Solar Systems. I am a retired engineer with an interest in improving the environment and saving money on my electric bills. When I was looking at the possibility of going solar, I looked at many different companies and various solar technologies. My detailed research led me to Cape Fear Solar Systems. They have a proven track record of great customer support and excellent customer reviews. At every step in the process, they did what they promised and more. If you are thinking of going solar – do yourself a favor - call Cape Fear Solar Systems. Jerry D.

Flawless execution and support

After navigating a minefield of door knockers and shady salespeople from other solar “brokers” and after countless hours spent on research it turns out the best was just around the corner. We decided to go with Cape Fear Solar and we were absolutely astounded at the level of professionalism and attention to detail, from the initial contact, through the permitting and engineering process, through the installation and final permission to operate. The entire process has been absolutely FLAWLESS. I literally power my entire house with the sun and have made it outage proof! The $16 electric bill in perpetuity is a nice added bonus! I can’t say enough great things about Dar, Christine and the entire installation team. THIS is how solar in done!!! 5 stars. FLAWLESS.

Excellent Experience

Cape Fear Solar Systems provided excellent service. I am transitioning to a in the construction industry and am very keen on the quality of work done. The professionals who worked on my home were on time, tactful, and did excellent work. I did a quality assurance check on the roof after the installation and the work was clean. They also offer a military discount.

Cape Fear Solar was easy to work with, the team was knowledgeable and responsive, and the entire installation process was excellent. We are very happy with choosing Cape Fear Solar Systems!

The easiest part of building our house

We had solar installed as we were building our house and it was easy. Cape Fear Solar took care of everything. They communicated well with the builder and had it installed on schedule. We had to wait to have it hooked up due to a delay in the building, put once they had the green light they were there to connect. They also received positive comments from the electricity company. We are now making more electricity than we need.

Great Service

We were pleased to install a 7 kW solar system with Cape Fear Solar. Their communication was great throughout the entire process, their install was efficient and coordination with local government and utility to have the system turned on was flawless. Happy we made the decision to choose a local installer.

Cape Fear Solar System Install

Cape Fear Solar met all of our expectations from the very first time we met to the completion of our home system. Very professional and easy to work with. Answered any questions and concerns immediately. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have solar panels installed. Tom Haun

By far the best company around

Entertained quotes from several competitors. Theirs was not only the best but they are a one stop shop. No subcontracting and no upselling

New system

The experience with Cape Fear Solar Systems was excellent from start to finish. I felt very confident with the sales rep Dar and his knowledge of the system, which they were planning on installing. He was able to answer all questions that I had about the process. The process took a while from start to finish, but he was up front about the time frame. The installers were prompt and excellent on the electrical end and on the panel installation. Thanks again for a smooth process.

Excellent service during the whole service including quote, permits, installation, and follow up. Gabe and Christina provided good customer service.

All Good!!

I researched solar as an energy option with several different sources. Cape Fear Solar Systems - CFSS - provided knowledgeable, professional (and patient) staff as I learned the vocabulary and process of solar energy for my all electric home. CFSS worked with my schedule and their installers to complete the job. I am very pleased and confident in the products and commitment of Cape Fear Solar. Highly Recommend.

Solar Is Complicated,

We just had our solar system installed by the very capable Cape Fear Solar Systems. We opted to hold off of battery purchasing so we could split the cost somewhat. We started with 3 estimates, and quickly boiled our choice down to 2 companies. Working with Dar, the salesman, we chose Cape Fear Solar. After closely following the installation process, I can’t imagine how things would work any way other than a ‘one stop shop’ approach. All of the personnel involved are professional and diligent in how they approach all facets of the system. I learned another thing: Solar is complicated! We used the Enphase IQ8 system — very state of the art…and what these things do still blows my mind. Safety was always first with them, and when I plan to add on our batteries, they will be my first call. Cape Fear Solar Systems is #1 in the Region for a reason!

No further contact.

I had a good experience purchasing and the installation of my panels. After that there has been no contact from this company on any other maintenance services or follow up on how the system is working. I get the feeling its all about the sale, one and done. Disappointing.

Great experience! 2 years in and still a happy customer!

We are approaching 2 years since Cape Fear Solar installed a system on our home, and I’m still very pleased with our system and our overall experience. When I contacted Cape Fear Solar for a quote, they sent a friendly and knowledgeable associate to our home who worked with us to design a system to meet our needs. They were helpful in answering our questions and did not pressure us into a sale. The process of planning, installing, and getting set up was very smooth, and someone from CFS was constantly in contact with us keeping us informed. They even went as far as to challenge Progress Energy when we were initially denied for their solar incentive. This resulted in us getting a $5,000 rebate from Progress to put towards our system. Over the years, I have referred several friends to Cape Fear Solar, and they have all reported similar and great experiences. Making the leap to change to powering your home with solar can be intimidating, but the financial benefits and peace of mind knowing that we are reducing our harm to our Earth is so valuable. Working with Cape Fear Solar made this process feel easy and gave us the confidence that we were doing the right thing. In my experience, switching to solar has been a great decision financially, and it feels good to be part of the solution rather than part of the problem. Thank you Cape Fear Solar for making this possible.

Cape Fear Solar Systems

Best solar company around: knowledgeable, easy to work with, staff knows exactly what to do to troubleshoot if necessary. Very personable staff too.

Great experience!

From the initial contact to the finalizing of the installation, a great experience! Great communication from all involved. No hidden fees or costs.

Delivered as promised

I have found Cape Fear Solar to be professional and competent. The system installed for me has operated even more efficiently than advertised. Further, it has been through three hurricanes without an outage or a problem. I have referred many of my neighbors and friends to this company and will continue to do so. My experience with them has been exemplary.
